Fantastic experience: Today I walked in to Flight Centre in Waurn Pond’s and was greeted with the lovely Abbey Dunn. Abbey was just amazing, professional, courteous, friendly and thorough. She did all the work that was requested by me and organised absolutely everything. Not a thing left out and then reviewed everything back to me to make sure it was all correct. Fantastic experience: Dealing with Abbey was a bubbly, pleasant experience. Abbey is knowlegable about NZ with lots of ideas about activities and keen to assist. Her Flight Centre quotation was prompt and as we had discussed but for reasons not related to Abbey we chose not to proceed. . However our decision is in no way a reflection on Abbey's ability, helpfulness or professionalism as she excelled in all areas.

Negative experience: Title: Misguided by Flight Centre – Avoid Sakala Resort & Poor Travel Advice Review: We trusted Flight Centre to guide us through our first trip to Bali, and unfortunately, that trust was completely misplaced. We were assured by their consultant that the Sakala Resort would be a quiet, well-located property in Nusa Dua, with easy beach access and a relaxing atmosphere. This was absolutely not the case. The Sakala Resort is not in central Nusa Dua — it's isolated, far from the heart of the area, and feels completely disconnected. While there is beach access, it is not the peaceful setting we were led to expect. There are hawkers on the beach, and loud party music plays throughout the day, making any hope of relaxation difficult. The room we were given was run down and tired, and the resort overall felt neglected. The space was located at the back of the property, overlooking what looked like a dumping area. The curtains had to remain closed throughout the day as there was no verandah or any shading to block out the intense heat. The room was filled with outdated brochures, further adding to the sense that the property has been left behind. We felt completely disconnected and uncomfortable, and ended up paying for an upgrade just to escape the sense of being stuck in a forgotten corner of the resort. Even then, the upgraded room offered no proper balcony access — there was no seating for two people, just a single sun bed outside. We couldn’t even sit together comfortably to enjoy the outdoor space. It was barely enough room for one person, let alone two, and certainly not what we expected when paying for an upgrade. The layout left us feeling boxed in, with no opportunity to enjoy the weather or unwind in any meaningful way. We are not blaming the resort staff — they were polite. But the responsibility lies with Flight Centre, who completely misrepresented this property and failed to meet the brief we clearly discussed. We asked for quiet, walkability, beachside access, and within Nusa Dua. What we got was the complete opposite. When we seek advice from travel consultants, we expect a level of professional expertise. That means understanding the client’s needs and recommending suitable options — not offering poor advice that results in a disappointing and costly experience. Sadly, Flight Centre failed to meet that basic standard. Extremely disappointing. Would never book through Flight Centre again.

Fantastic experience: A big thank you to Alicia at Waurn Ponds for helping me with my trip to the states. At 73 I have done a fair bit of travel but have never had an agent as helpful as Alicia. Nothing was too much trouble and although I’m sure some of my questions were painful she never made me feel that I was being a nuisance. I’m going on this trip comfortable that all will be smooth sailing. Thanks again Alicia.

Fantastic experience: I have been delighted with Carmen Milton, the consummate communicator, who explains to me after she has already explained to my wife the details of the travel arrangements and bookings and costs.
