Fantastic experience: We recently arrived home from a 7 week overseas holiday visiting several countries by rail, boat, road and air. There were many hotels, transfers and tours making it a complex booking but due to the competency of Ros at Travel Associates Hawthorne not a single thing went wrong. Our whole trip ran like clockwork and we had an amazing trip. Ros offered many suggestions for sightseeing which helped to make it a wonderfully memorable holiday. We wouldn’t hesitate recommending her or Travel Associates Hawthorne to anyone and in fact have already done so. We have also booked our next trip as we were so happy with the service.

Fantastic experience: For more than 20 years I have been making my travel arrangements through Hawthorne Travel Associates. Roz Wyatt leads an awesome team which has always been incredibly helpful and knowledgeable resulting in my experiencing fabulous, troublefree travel knowing they are only a phone call away if needed while in international territory.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I recently chose to holiday on a Viking cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam through Travel Associates Hawthorne. Jessica was a pleasure to deal with. She was very prompt in answering any queries we had and always helpful and supportive in suggestions for tailoring our trip including the private portions. Viking were also very well organised and their staff were well trained and happy. Nothing was too much trouble. There was always a staff member looking out for us for the entire trip including the excursions to ensure things ran smoothly including the add on land content. It was one of the most relaxed, enjoyable and trouble free holidays we have ever had.

Fantastic experience: Our travel agent, Jessica Taylor is top notch! She responds quickly to our enquires even when she’s busy. Jess goes the extra mile with service and we have been happy clients for years. It’s nice to have the personal touch in this digital age.

Negative experience: Extensive European trip was booked through this company. We found these guys on google reviews and went with the 5 star rating. One word. Dont. Sadly not all agents are equal. We were booked on to flights not even seated together. We were told we were unable to change this and to “ head to the airport early to see if we could change the flights”. Flights were really expensive and inflexible on the Qantas app because it was through an agent. Hotels were really expensive throughout the trip and were well below average. In one case - above a service station. The agent “forgot” to tell us we needed an international drivers license in Italy to rent a car and apologised all too late and ruined days of our holiday. The agent ended the email with “I am leaving the agency tomorrow so call the help line if you need anything else” no handover no apology - nothing . For a full service travel agency our experience was abysmal. I should have spent a Saturday with Expedia and done it myself.

Fantastic experience: I have been booking my travels with the ladies at Travel Associates Hawthorne for several years now, initially with Emma and more recently Roz. Both have provided exceptional customer service and offered some brilliant suggestions from their extensive experience in the industry. I undertake at least one 6-7week overseas trip annually and often an extra tour or cruise locally. This involves a 2-3 tour/cruise bookings, flights, and accommodation and can be quite complex, but nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Emma’s response is always very prompt and reliable. Many thanks to her, my holidays have always been hassle free and thoroughly enjoyable. This year in Emma’s absence due to Covid-19 lay-offs, Roz has dealt with the onerous task of initiating and following up with suppliers for refunds and providing ridiculously detailed information for my travel insurance claim. Roz handled it with a gracious attitude and in a timely manner, despite the intense pressure within the travel industry during what has been an extremely trying time for all. I can’t thank them enough for their dedication, expertise and outstanding service. They are a credit to the organisation and it is with pleasure that I give them my highest recommendation.

They made planning and booking a breeze, giving me great advice, and an impressive level of interest in my personal needs. Throughout this stage the level of service was simply outstanding. Then when our covid-stricken world brought all the best plans crashing down, the TA team was still on hand to guide me through the whole cancelled plans headache, easing the grief and pain, and steering me smoothly through a potentially rocky ride. Fantastic experience: We have been dealing with Jess at travel associates for the past five years during which time we have completed 17 cruises and taken our family (including grandchildren) on three cruises to the South Pacific Islands, Great Barrier Reef and Moreton Island. You have been so helpful over the years (in particular when you saved me in an insurance emergency in French Polynesia, I don't know what I would have done without you!). Your advice has always been spot on (Cuba visas - the ever changing process) and your attention to detail has saved me asking you to book the wrong flights on numerous occasions. And you always manage to find the really cool hotels (the haunted convent was very memorable). Wouldn't travel without you.

Roz also makes good suggestions of countries to visit and places to see which I would never consider. During all the years both my husband and I have travelled we have never had an issue. Our transfers are always on time and the hotels Roz has suggested have always been in an excellent location which makes it easy for walking to places that interest us. Because of her professionalism my family also go to Roz to book holidays. As my friend and I had our long awaited holiday cancelled this year we are both looking forward to rebooking with Roz again as soon as we can travel.
