Negative experience: Terrible Experience with Flight Centre – Extremely Disappointed I had a very unpleasant experience at Flight Centre today. I arrived 25 minutes before closing time, hoping to get some help planning a trip, but was completely dismissed by Madie Grosser, who I must say is the worst travel consultant I’ve ever encountered. She refused to assist me, didn’t allow me to even take a seat, and instead handed me a flyer and told me to check the rest on the website. No greeting, no effort, no professionalism. It’s shocking that someone in a customer-facing role could be so rude and unhelpful. I walked in genuinely excited to plan a trip – I walked out feeling completely disrespected. Flight Centre, you really need to train your staff on basic customer service and professionalism. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

While the store may still be open during this time, the team is often focused on finalising existing bookings and tying up loose ends from the day. Fantastic experience: I booked a trip with tour for Sri Lanka, upon Eleni's recommendation of somewhere new to travel to. As an experienced traveller but having never been on a guided tour, Eleni made the process easy and was 100% spot on with her recommendation. Her professionalism throughout the booking process was exemplary and her knowledge of the best places to go was outstanding. She was in constant communication with me at all times and even checked in during and after the trip to ensure everything was to my satisfaction. I will never book travel with anybody else! Five stars are not enough!!!

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a consultant who has integrity and extensive travel experience then Eleni is that person. Eleni booked our European trip in January this year and even though time has passed since then she contacted me today to inform me not to panic about our upcoming trip and that she is monitoring Qatar hour by hour regarding the middle east crisis. Her final words to me was "I would not be sending you on a plane if I didn't believe it to be safe". She has definitely put my mind at ease. Then to go above and beyond she recommend that I fill my tank with petrol as it is going up due to the crisis. LOL Eleni you are A PURE AND RARE GEM.

Positive experience: Bad for timing on appointments but the person who helped me was very helpful most things went smoothly only a couple of hiccups things that were in the quote but not in the final itinerary and I had to show the original quotes to get them like the late checkout the hotel knew nothing about only other issue was they must get a bigger kick back from virgin because every quote I kept saying was good I just want to get one with jetstar direct flights I don't care if they cost more and every quote I got back was virgin flights with a different time she said we can choose who our flights are with but every quote kept having virgin I almost didn't go through flight centre because of it ended up having to settle with virgin flights

Negative experience: Called the store to get some advise on my first overseas holiday. Lady who answered was incredibly rude no help at all and made me feel really uncomfortable at the fact that I even called the shop. She just wanted to get me off the phone. Won’t be coming back.

Negative experience: Had an awful experience with Oriana in regards to getting our holiday. Numerous errors were made on her behalf which resulted in alot of out of pocket expenses. When we told her about our problems she told us to figure it out ourselves and that we weren't out of pocket, which was a lie as we had all the paper-work indicating otherwise. After escalating it to the team leader Flight Centre finally agreed to refund our out of pocket expenses but it took nearly a month to get the funds reimbursed. Very unprofessional, poor lack of accountability for the numerous mistakes Oriana made which caused undue stress and anxiety and very poor communication. Do better Flight Centre.

Negative experience: I am deeply disappointed with the service provided by Flight Centre Modbury. I called in advance to schedule an appointment and waited for 30 minutes to speak with someone. Eventually, I was given an appointment time to visit the branch and book my holiday, which was set for 2:30 PM. I arrived on time, only to wait for an additional 45 minutes without receiving any acknowledgment or assistance. Throughout this entire experience, none of the staff showed any regard for my time or provided any level of customer service. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Flight Centre Modbury, as it reflects poorly on their professionalism and respect for clients.

Negative experience: With ongoing issues with virgin flight credits (ongoing for several years) I am feeling very frustrated. Having chatted with virgin 15/11/24 I was told the credits sit with FC. However per phone today to FC I am told credit has expired however have an email dated 3/11/23 stating that credit needs to be used by June 2025! Go figure!! Not happy at all!

Fantastic experience: We can't thank Tori VAN DER BIEZEN enough for booking our recent holiday with family to FIJI. The trip and the experience went off without a single hitch. Tori gave us plenty of advice and suggestions, all of them went like clockwork. She planned everything down to the very last detail. I wish we had found Tori years ago. Fantastic experience: We booked our European holiday with Eleni and cannot fault her enough. She was efficient, knowledgeable and installed a lot of confidence. There was a lot of work from behind the scenes that she organised for us when we had to make changes or cancellations and she really spent the time to get to know us and our wants for this trip. We leave on Monday and feel as if Eleni has answered every thing for us and can't wait to come back and tell her all about our trip! Negative experience: Most disgusting experience of my life dealing with eleni goergiou from modbury ttp shop she told me it was OK for my girlfriend to leave the country a day late after seeing my girlfriends visa on return to Australia my girlfriend visa was cancelled because of of her wrong advice thay advertise the experts in the air is totally wrong they no nothing they take your money give bad advice and when this happens they blame imagination they don't refund nothing and all the blame is on me everything they say on there web pages is a lie they no nothing all we got from her is I am only human and I thought I did it right if you have a loved one visiting you do not deal with her at all I will never ever go to the flight centre again in my life today is 24/5/24 I am adding to my review you can see under this review the flight centre comment no one has been in contact with us at all total lies I expect an apology letter from eleni sent to my girlfriend email so we can show imagination so she might be aloud back in the country not to mention all the money I have spent on this because of the flight centre stuff up I am adding to my complaint the date is 3/6/24 we still have not heared anything back from the flight centre we asked for an apology letter to show imagination and there has been nothing as of yet they do not hurry to help you out they take your funds and stuff up your flights and get you in trouble with imagination please do not use the flight centre at ttp modbury and please do not use eleni georgiou who works for them worste experience of my life

Negative experience: WORST EXPERIENCE! After huge dramas trying to cancel a trip (due to parents splitting up) & not being able to receive refund, only flight credit, then just about all the flight credit was absorbed into using the flight credit due to their fees. I sent the exact flights I wanted so there didn’t have to be any leg work for Eleni & she STILL couldn’t book the correct flight. I also never received any tickets for our flights or confirmation ect. Luckily I screenshot everything before I paid. Also my one request was for my husband & I to sit next to each other on the flights & SHE MADE US SIT IN DIFFERENT ROWS! Thankfully the attendants in the flight found a free row & relocated us. Absolutely no care factor whatsoever when booking with Eleni. Barely ever received emails back from here & waited 1 week at a time before reaching out for another attempt…. Worst customer service. No urgency & no one to jump in & help out because it is simply “not their sale”…. Save yourself the money, stress & headache, BOOK YOUR OWN HOLIDAY!
Sorry to see that you're not happy with your experience Sarah. I'm sorry to hear of your frustration. To provide a little more insight, travellers are bound by the booking conditions of the airline and the original ticket. Credits can be used towards tickets of the same or higher value. I appreciate this is frustrating to see lower fares not available for you to apply your credit to, and is because the these fares are a lower value ticket, but again, the airline rules specify that a credit is to be used for an equal or higher value. In regard to seating requests these are always made and confirmed on a request basis as Airlines do have the ability to detach seating request from the booking if they deem necessary. Although rare, this can happen. Negative experience: I been to the store without appointment at 1 the girl told me that you can come back at 3 after waiting there for my turn for 2 hour she came back 3.15 and told me we are closing at 4 so we can’t do anything for you and told me to come back tomorrow how they even think someone will come back after that

Negative experience: Don't deal with these people. They take your cash and abandon you. Completely uncontactable. Tell you about hidden fees after you've booked. Agents don't return emails and then tell you they haven't received them. Tell you they've left notes on reservations that don't exist. I have confirmation from two airlines that they received zero direction or communication from the agent. Travelled with a small child and never again. They don't price match so I paid exceedingly above the online price I had seen for the exact same itinerary thinking because I was travelling with a child it would be better to have the support of an agency. It doesn't exist and I see zero benefit of dealing with these people. I will absolutely be taking this further with the ATAS. For anybody considering dealing with this group at Modbury - Caveat emptor!!!

Negative experience: Came into the store without an appointment, was told it’s better to come in during the week (which I can’t because I’m at work?) Was not treated like a customer, was treated like an inconvenience. Stuck around the shopping centre on the consultant’s suggestion, just in case a consultant freed up. When I went back to let them know I was about to leave, one consultant who was free was quite rude in the way they told us they were waiting for a customer with an appointment. We still waited around another 15 minutes because the other consultant made it sound like they were about to finish up and would call when ready - we still haven’t been called. Would have been happy to book an appointment if the promised call back had occurred. The poor communication we experienced makes me glad we didn’t end up booking through them.
I am sorry to hear about your experience Kieran. We know our teams are in high demand at the moment with the rapid reoccurrence of travel and very much still a recovering industry. If the team have availability to see you immediately, they of course will, but they will also be juggling the virtual queue of customers with post appointment follow-ups, booking maintenance, and email enquiry. Our teams do take appointment bookings, and do need to prioritise these appointments for customers who have requested these. Negative experience: Would not use Flightcentre TTP again they are quick to book and take your cash but when they over charge you they are not in a hurry to refund you only been over 2 months

We do work with our partners to get the best available pricing, and believe our agents, with their expertise, add fantastic value to our customers bookings. Regarding your refund, I can definitely appreciate how frustrating the cancellation & refund process can be. With the airline refunds, the processing time on this typically sits at approximately 12 weeks, however, with the high rate of cancellations currently, this timeframe is being extended by the majority of suppliers due to the increased workload across the industry. You can speak with your consultant for an update on this.
Negative experience: Stay away from Flight Centre TTP. They have been the worst company to deal with after spending over $30,000 on a round the world trip. Very unprofessional and will not help or take any accountability at all. Too many things to list - I will never book through them ever again. Definitely look elsewhere. Going off reading the reviews, it seems I’m definitely not the only one unhappy with them.

Fantastic experience: I went to Flight Centre to book a Europe Trip with my sisters and cousins. It was our first overseas trip alone. Bernice Dingle was our consultant and she made sure to help us in any way she could. Bernice booked everything for us, so that we had the easiest and best trip ever. It ended up being a trip of a lifetime and we thank her so much!

Negative experience: We had a trip this month for my brother in law's wedding. Seeing as we were flying into Rome on the way in and out of London on our return home, and it being our first time flying with a 1 year old, we thought we'd leave the booking to the professionals. During our initial consult I explained that we had purchased Qantas club access so we could take advantage of lounges while we travel to make it a bit easier with the baby and asked her to please book QF flight numbers. The lady said that wouldn't be a problem and explained the codeshare flights work using QF numbers on partner airlines. She presented us with quotes and we emailed to confirm and paid. When it came time to get excited about the trip and map out a game plan for the long journey, we brought up the itinerary only to see all legs of the flight had EK flight numbers, including those on Qantas planes. A quick google confirmed our suspicion that unless you're Qantas club gold (we are not so lucky), you couldn't use your Qantas club access for partner airline lounges with EK flight numbers, only QF. This included not even being able to access the Qantas lounge in Australia for our first leg as we were flying through "Emirates" on the Qantas plane. Thinking it was just an honest mistake we emailed the lady we booked through saying our flights appeared to be Emirates flight numbers instead of Qantas as discussed. The email we received back simply stated she had no recollection of our conversation and that if we wanted to change our flights we would have to pay a rebooking fee. Seeing as this would have put us hundreds of dollars further out of pocket for an already expensive trip we declined to pay a rebooking fee and left it. As both the way there, and the way back were three flights each, I have now spent way too many hours of my life chasing my toddler around attempting to stop her from eating mystery floor snacks and trying to get her to sleep in noisy, crowded airports. I am just so disappointed in the fact that Danielle who organised flights for us didn't bother to take notes from our initial consult, the fact the wrong flight numbers were booked, and finally the lack of accountability when we asked for the flights to be fixed. For such a large company, waiving the rebooking fee would have been the absolute least they could do seeing as it was their mistake. Instead we are left with a sour taste in our mouths from the experience. Do yourself a favour and get everything in writing if you go with Flight centre for your next booking or consider another travel agent

At the time of booking, customers are requested to check their invoices to ensure all personal and travel details are correct as requested, to ensure our team have caught all the details of what you're after correctly, and Flight Numbers are included in this invoice. Prior to booking these can be changed with no issue, as nothing is yet booked & confirmed. Negative experience: They agent that booked my daughters accommodation for a 20 hour layover in Beijing booked at the wrong airport. Then when I rang up proceeded to place the blame on us. They have now offered a refund but had to chase that up again more than once. Would never use them again very poor customer service on top of my daughter was stuck at an airport for 20 hours.

Fantastic experience: We have used Fight Centre Modbury for a trip to Cairns a couple of years ago after seeing one of their advertised offers. We were allocated Bernice Dingle as our consultant. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It was because of this that when we went to book our big Europe trip, we reached out to her again. Bernice was amazing the whole way through. We told her where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do and she organised everything, down to a T. No once did we feel stressed when it came to transfers from city or country as she had organised everything. Accommodation was book in the perfect location for all the iconic "must sees" and activities. From planning, booking, and answering questions before and during the trip, Bernice was quick to reply to questions, and made this nervous traveller feel reassured that everything was going to be great. And it was. I will not hesitate to contact Bernice directly through Flight Centre Modbury when we plan our next holiday, and will be referring her to all of our friends.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I have had the pleasure of being looked after by Bernice for over 10 years . She has organised trips for us to Asia , the Middle East and Europe . She is prompt in communication and extremely organised . Arrangements have always gone smoothly . Negative experience: Not worth any star, even 1 star is a very cry. The staff had no idea about any packages and even after booking an appointment they didn't even have a look at what we had requested for. They made us wait for more than 30 mins even with a confirmed appointment.

Negative experience: Tried calling Flight Centre Modbury until noone picked up and it went to answer phone. Then couldn't leave a message as their box was full. Went in to tea tree plaza to be served face to face. Waited 20 minutes as third in a queue that didn't progress before all three of us were told that all workers there were taking booked appointments only and were fully booked. There was nowhere stipulating appointments only - or even preferred. So, you can't call them and you can't attend in person. Goodness knows how you make an appointment, but they weren't that interested in helping. As a sidenote, on the phone, on multiple days, I tried calling any other Flight Centre. That rang out until the machine said they were busy and try again at another time. I spent 1.5-2 hours trying to get through. Now my flights are $500 dearer. Don't waste your time. Go somewhere else.

Negative experience: Heads up, if they try to whack on the "Captains Package" as a service fee, $19 domestically, it is non-compulsory and you can request they remove it. Had a pretty poor interaction with one of the staff, Danielle Russell, who repeatedly lied and claimed it was mandatory. Fifteen minute phone call to Customer Service confirmed it was optional. Don't lie to customers. Don't deliberately overcharge them. Unacceptable and unaustralian.

Negative experience: I had a horrible experience today with Inaho Davis at FC Modbury. Her customer service was passive-aggressive and not assertive when talking about South America in front of people from South America. It will be good for her to learn about culture-sensitive and client-centred when talking to people from different backgrounds. She also needs to know the definition of “duty of care”, as she was using it while persuading me to buy something she believed was best, but facts were not given. Glad not to buy my tickets with her as I do not wish to deal with her if something happens. Not a pleasant experience at all; other people there were friendly, just not her. Unfortunately, the impression that this agency gives me is that if you are not Australian or hold an Australian passport, you are not welcome to travel as you wish!

Negative experience: The biggest waste of time! Booked our flights through them and was told the wrong information from a young man who’s name I believe is Sam. Negative experience: After missing my flight I booked with Flight centre online, I went into the shop to discuss a credit or refund. The customer service rep told me she couldn't help me because I booked it online and sent an email on my behalf. I never received a reply. I tried calling Flight Centre over 4 different times and stayed on hold for over 10 to 15mins only to have the phone call end abruptly. I will not be dealing with Flight Centre again! I recommend people to go directly through the airline and not through flight centre - their response is zero!
