Negative experience: Today, my friends and I visited Flight Centre Mt Gravatt and unfortunately, the experience was highly disappointing. The representative who assisted us was rude and unhelpful, offering minimal information and making discouraging comments about our ability to afford travel. While we are young, we would not have waited for 30 minutes in the store if we were not financially prepared. When I asked for recommendations, she responded dismissively, stating, "I am not Google, mate." This remark left us questioning the purpose of her role. The overall interaction was extremely unsatisfactory and unprofessional.

Negative experience: Honestly felt so judged with the way the team member treated my friends and I walked in for a consult. She spoke in such a demeaning way that almost felt like everything we were asking for were too expensive for us as if we couldn't afford it. We had only started brainstorming some ideas for a group holiday and wanted an idea of where we could go and was so demeaning. When we asked for some recommendations for travel and what we got was a blunt answer saying "I'm not google mate." This was along with many other comments. I find the demeaning nature so disrespectful and the customer care here is disappointing. A shame that these kinds of people are here to help us plan a happy time of our life. Extremely disappointed and disrespected. However we could tell there were other agents working in the same store that appeared to be much more helpful and nicer this was definitely a bad experience for us.

Negative experience: My friends and I popped in store today to possibly start thinking about a group trip at the end of the year and the lady that assisted our consultation was so rude and demeaning. She discouraged us multiple times saying things were expensive. When we asked for recommendations of where to go, she answered back saying “I’m not google” and when I said we haven’t done much research and just came to start some research on a holiday, she said “I can tell”. Having been to multiple flight centre stores and booking holidays through them, this was my worst experience.

Fantastic experience: Want to recognise Nick Flannery for his service and compassion. Having to cancel and change flights due to a family loss, Nick was considerate and kind. While the situation was not ideal, the service Nick provided was. Thank you Nick.

Fantastic experience: It's been a pleasure to have booked our holiday With Jessica . There were a few changes along the way, but Jessica made this very stress free. No question was to silly . The Flight Centre are extremely lucky to have her. Now to start dream building for the next trip next year. We will happy visit the Flight Centre and Jessica again Thanks again Jessica

Fantastic experience: I will always be using flight center garden city, even if I'm interstate, very friendly, helpful and professional, they went above and beyond to help me out of an incident I hope no one else has to endure. Once again I thank the staff at garden city.

Negative experience: Very disappointed. Walked in today and was able to speak a staff member today, by the name of Ken (I think). I let him know that I was interested in looking at biking a holiday, but also had a question with was of a different topic to my booking. He was unpleasant to deal with, disengaged in the conversation, spoke down to me in a condescending tone, rolling his eyes when I was asking further questions. I couldn’t leave quick enough.

Negative experience: Horrible communication, went in and wasted my time with nick only to not hear back at all from anyone, I even called 3 times and left messages with other staff. No return call, no return email. It’s like they don’t even want your work. Very disappointed as we were in a rush to book our trip.

Fantastic experience: Rowan from the Garden City store was amazing and very helpful in booking our family trip to Europe. He took care of everything, was very organised and reassuring when I asked a lot of questions! Rowan was very professional and friendly and I would highly recommend meeting with him to plan your next holiday! Thank you so much Rowan for helping us have the most wonderful holiday!!

Positive experience: Lovely staff and helpful

Negative experience: A very disappointing experience at this branch of flight centre today. I went in with my family to book a return trip to Europe. They were not busy, so sat down with agent, not sure of his name but after giving him our dates to search for prices, it seemed like it was to much trouble to find us the best deal after just giving us one price with a popular airline, I asked if there was another airline he could check, he was not obliging and more or less said well why don't you go and check the internet yourself. The reason I went to the flight centre was because I would rather book through an agent. I will not be returning to this branch again. Very disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Mel is hands down THE BEST!!! Exceptionally knowledgeable, super friendly, knows how to get all the things you need/ask for and things you don't know you need or want! The whole process was easy and can't speak highly of her enough!!!! If I could do more than 5 stars I would!!!

Negative experience: Trash. Garbage. Rude. Waited half an hour on 2 seperate occasions on the same day and wasn’t acknowledged or helped with anything despite asking various times when someone would be available. All of the staff working on this day were just rude and incompetent. Do not go here.

Negative experience: Very bad experience with Campbell watts not giving proper information to the customer, just sitting here to make money here.. Before confirmed the ticket i have asked how much money it will deducts if i cancel the ticket ,on that day he is telling less amount but today i have cancelled my ticket he is telling more amount..So much worst experience with this type of company.. Lack of improper knowledge and very unprofessional customer service.. Don’t recommend anybody to this type of making money company..

Fantastic experience: Absolute best service. Nick Flannery has been our go-to guy for several trips now! From simple 1 stop returns domestics to crazy multi-city adventures internationally Nick's help has been invaluable. For our latest big trip we decided on Japan but we had a hard time making decisions, know what was good and what was a tourist trap, were was best to stay, how to best travel etc. Nick offered ideas and recommendations for convenient and lovely hotels, found us great flights, suggested a few attractions to check out and when to book them aswell as suggested what would be the best way to travel. He made the whole process so so so much less stressful and daunting! That man has the patience of a God to deal with my family and I, and our indecisiveness. Once we finally decided on accommodation, which cities we were visiting all that fun stuff he emailed us copies of the notes we was taking and everything! Made it so much easier! Truly this man needs a raise, or at they very least a relaxing Vay-Cay. One thing to keep in mind is the FC team have been crazy busy with the travel boom as of late so sometimes we had to chase up for a question or two we sent via email but overall very easy to communicate with and for all major things its always best to go instore anyway. With all our accommodation and flights booked and the knowledge of when we need to book certain attractions and transport we are ready for out next big trip! Will 100% be working with Nick in the future.

Fantastic experience: Rowan was incredible! Just the advice, warmth and kindness which showcase excellent customer service and care. He was professional and fantastic at promptly booking everything, whilst trying to ensure we had the best deals streamlining everything for us. I recommend their store and his service any day! Of course-Rowan made suggestions for great places to stay and what would suit us travel-wise with a baby. He was accomodating and flexible always asking questions and keeping the conversation professional and awesome!

Negative experience: Below is my original feedback, and seeing the cold response and still no contact from anyone within FC especially Nick (goes to show the lack of care, customer service and attention) I just like to add a bit more context to my complain. I could have bought my tickets directly with the Airline as I am a frequent flyer with them however decided to purchase through FC to support local business (these are 4 business class tickets). Furthermore, my tickets were purchased with FC's Captain Package Plus which included waiving of Cancellation Fees. Yet it would appear they decided to deduct cancellation fee. In all my correspondences with Nick, not once did he mentioned that FC will charge cancellation fee, in fact, his responses only confirmed or at least gave me the impression no cancellation fee will be charged. Also, because I have the Captains Package Plus with my tickets, why is this not taken into consideration? Again, goes to show the lack of due care & attention/ customer service from FC's perspective. Lesson I have learned from this experience is simply never to book anymore flights/ travel through FC and just go direct with the airlines/ Hotel as I get no service from FC anyway. ____________________________________________ I have made many bookings through Flight Centre in the past especially pre-covid days, and have always found them to be very responsive post sales and assisting with changes etc. But my recent experience have really left me an extremely disgruntled customer. Nick Flannery is the guy who assisted me, sure he was very responsive and helpful to close the deal but once the monies been paid, any changes or queries were non responsive. I resorted to dealing with others within the Mt Gravatt FC but FC seem to have a policy to revert my matters back to the person who closed the deal. Unfortunately for me, the airline I booked my tickets for changed their itinerary thus we couldn't fly back the day we originally booked for. Nick was not responsive in providing other options, thus I seek a full refund as it was not my doing for the change. This was all confirmed by Nick (eventually). 1 May 2024 we lodged our refund request with the agreed amount payable by FC. After much stuffing around multiple times, FC claimed I gave them the wrong BSB or one that belongs to an international bank (which is not true) the funds only landed in my bank account (after re-submitting the bank details the 3rd time) 1 August 2024. It took FC 3 months to pay me the wrong amount. FC decided to deduct cancellation fees from the agreed amount. I have reached out to them multiple times since, and they have been non responsive. Words cannot describe how much distrust and disappointment I have in FC, especially the Mt Gravatt branch and Nick! Never again will I book any more travels with FC! There are many more honest and reputable agents around, just not Flight Centre anymore!

She has helped me so much and made it really easy setting up my flights , accommodation and transfers! She has gone above and beyond and has really taken the care to make sure everything is perfect. Negative experience: Spent awhile chatting with a young male agent at the shop. It seemed nice enough, however it also took some time. It came close to closing time and apparently the computer had some sort of trouble. The agent suggested we go away and that he’ll e-mail with the confirmation and a link to the flights. That never happened. No call, no text, no link, no e-mail…nothing. If that’s customer service then I’m the King of England. Wasted my time, will not be back and definitely recommend not wasting your time here.

Fantastic experience: Couldn't ask for better travel agents than Rowan and Jess. I've now booked multiple trips with them and their service, advice, and support has been nothing short of exceptional. Even better, the whole team at Garden City makes you feel welcome and well looked after every time you walk in. Fantastic experience: Rowan at Flight Centre Garden City helped arrange flights and accommodation for my wife and I during a relocation to Canada. There was plenty of luggage and we wanted to split up the long trip. Rowan had several options ready for us, suggestions on how to make the trip as easy as possible and had everything booked extremely quickly. We had some trouble with the airline managing our luggage, but Rowan was easy to get in touch with and happy to advise to make sure everything arrived. I would highly recommend Flight Centre Garden City and Rowan in particular if you are looking to take the stress out of your trip!

Negative experience: Jess booked our latest trip for us and I have nothing positive to say about the experience. There were no end of problems and simple requests for documents were met with a response to the effect of "I have already provided that document to you". Would have been much easier if the document had been provided, or if she had simply included it in the response to avoid the need for endless communication. Then we were given incorrect date information for our return flights on our itinerary and invoice...coupled with a refusal to change the email address on the flight booking from the Flight Centre email address, led to us missing our flights. What a debacle, the travel we have arranged ourselves have been sooo much easier and trouble free.

Fantastic experience: My friend and I were first time travellers when we went into Flight Centre Mt Gravatt and met with the wonderful Grace Forward. We knew vitrually nothing when it came to booking flights and accommodation let alone insurance and the best places to visit, thankfully Grace was knowledgeable and insightful, providing great guidance. She went above and beyond to assist us in booking seat reservations, staying late to call the company in Italy and France due to time difference. We had a successful trip and couldn’t have done it without Grace. We will definitely be booking our next big holiday with Grace. We would recommend her to everyone. Fantastic experience: Quick and easy which lead to a booking for our next holiday. It was so good talking to someone who new what they doing and understood what they were recommending. I was very fortunate to pick Jess when i walked into the store in Garden City.

Negative experience: Waited for 40 minutes with a 14 month old toddler that was getting more and more agitated to get in to see someone; only to be told we needed an appointment and would need to wait a further hour after that. Where are the signs that advise customers of this? Terrible excuse for customer service - especially given the number of staff that could have let us know while we sat there (4). One of which that obviously went on a break but could have taken the 15 seconds to let us know. We will not be back.

She smoothed out a very stressful situation for us and then has continued to assist us with the planning and booking for our trip. Fantastic experience: Grace Forward was our Travel Fairy Godmother for our recent overseas trip. She listened and worked with us in planning a fabulous itinerary for our family holiday to the US. Unfortunately, one of our very first connecting flights was cancelled, leading to a domino effect of cancellations to subsequent flights. When we contacted Grace, she immediately went to work, reorganising flights for us to minimise and further detrimental effects to our travel plans. She managed to accomplish this within a very tight time frame and her level of communication with us throughout was of the highest standard. Fantastic experience: I was very pleased going onto Flight Centre at all, I looked up flights to Townsville and looking at accommodation for you there . I gave it 5 stars as I found it very easy to use and look for flights , home and abroad, this was my first time ever using this app for Fight Centre and I enjoyed using this app and I'm starting to learn how to use a computer now at my age thank you. I know , I will be looking at this site again to see their great low prices that they always have , their Great Specials and Sales , that they always have for their customers. Negative experience: Yesterday on the 4th of October I witnessed staff being very rude to a customer who couldn’t speak English fully. They need to be taught compassion towards people from all walks of life. A shame to see this in 2023! Edit: in regards to “simplifying” a conversation, that was not what your staff did. Saying things like “hurry up” or “we don’t have time for this” is not simplifying a conversation. Just shows that the manager is just as inconsiderate and rude as the employees. Maybe if you didn’t have those horrid red neck ties on too tight, you wouldn’t be as suffocating. Also the red lipstick is tacky. Kind regards, a very unhappy customer

Negative experience: Appalling customer service. Waited 15 minutes and no one was free to talk to me, 5 operators in the store, 3 on the phone, girl on front desk didn't even look at me, surely a customer in the shop takes precedent over people on the phone?

Basically even providing the travel agent with all the information he still was not able to even assist us with our trip. Negative experience: Horrible experience!!! is there an appointment booking system existing that I don’t be aware of? Why are there 3 groups of customers could skipping the queue and went straight to the service counters? I kept sittings aside and didn’t know what happened at all. No notices and no greeting from the moment that I walked in to the store. What a service, and I can’t believe an popular travel agency in Australia would be no shame to provide such a “quality” customer service. I’m sorry I have to choose to walk off as I can just sit there to wait and keep wasting my time to see everyone walked in and get service rather than me.

We asked about what tour companies got great reviews for our Isle of Skye tour, booked that tour as well as our flights & some of the hotels we used. Negative experience: I unfortunately made appointment with Lauren unfortunately. I got there before my appointment. When it was my turn she was still talking to the man came before me. It’s very rude unprofessional when you book with a client make sure see them straight away when it’s their time and appointment. But no she kept chitchatting with that man like one hour finally I told the other worker like look I have to do few stuff in the shopping center and call me when she finish with this man. After I went away ten minutes later she try he other worker called me and said I can come now. It was her job to call me and let me know to come back she is free now but she asked her colleague to call me which is rude and unprofessional. She was really mean unprofessional seems races too. She didn’t answer my questions and within five minutes she sent me away. When you read the reviews here saying Lauren is good this and that it’s not actually true it’s one of her friends or family members put nice reviews here about her. Flight center us good however please go to another flight center instead of Gardencity flight center. I will not recommend flight center which is gardencity Westfield which is in upper Mount Gravatt. Please go to another flight center please. They don’t even deserve one star. If anyone wants to book an appointment in gardencity Westfield shopping center flight center I will say stay away from Lauren please. I have write what I have experienced that day.

Negative experience: Unprofessional, and the worst experience ever. We sent millions of emails to Cara about booking a flight but she didn’t respond. We went there in person and asked to book an appointment, she didn't do it either. Why are you even there if don't wanna do your job properly? That's insane and unacceptable. Never recommend Flight Centre at Mount Gravatt.

Fantastic experience: My cousin and I needed help booking a trip to Mexico for 5 weeks with a transit through San Francisco and Lauren Pilgrim IS EVERYTHING. She assisted us in so many ways with booking tours and flights and is all around one of the best interactions of customer service I have EVER had. As a seasoned traveller she made everything so easy! Fantastic experience: I had to wait a while, because I hadn't booked an appointment (as advised) but it was worth waiting: Despite her young (may I say stunning!) appearance, Savannah Tuson is such a professional Travel Consultant. She quickly mapped out a proposed, round-the-world travel plan; made some requested corrections the next day, and all was sorted the day after. I just hope she's still available for my next overseas excursion. TQ Sav :)

Negative experience: We were planning quite a big trip so we decided to get help from a travel agent. We called to book and the woman on the phone was very nice and said not to worry as they would do absolutely everything for us, which was great. We had an appointment in March, and the consultant was GT. We told him the destinations we wanted to go to in Europe, the time frame and our budget. He offered absolutely no help or advice and said that our trip was literally “impossible” to do. He said six weeks for Italy, France, Spain and Greece could not be done in six weeks for our budget of $15k. We found that surprising as we had friends who went to Europe just the year before for 3 months for $10k. We asked if Eurail would be worth getting and he said it would cost $2000-3000 each. He said that we could only see Italy in the six weeks “if [we] really wanted to rush it” and said that Rome alone needed 3 weeks. We said we wanted to go to Saint Tropez for a few days and he told us we couldn’t afford it with our budget. He said that lunch would cost us €200-€500. We said we wanted to go to Positano and he said it was the “Saint Tropez of Italy” and it would be too expensive for us. Fast forward to today where I’m currently in our hotel in Positano writing this review as I reminisce on how he said none of this was possible. Our Eurail cost us $500 each on Klook. We did Rome in 5 days and even went to Pompei and Florence and felt it was sufficient timing. Had we listened to him, we would still be there and have nothing to do. Lunch in Saint Tropez was expensive but not what he claimed (also with Positano). In the main area, you could get a main dish for €36. If you are a bit out, it could be €18. Thankfully, we chose to do it ourselves and ended up visiting all our wanted destinations. We even added an extra week and stayed in our budget. Everything GT told us ended up being untrue. He either isn’t very knowledgeable or was just unwilling to help us. I will never be returning.

Negative experience: No one ever answers the phone or replies to emails and I am still waiting for my refund from March. Good luck!!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service from Lauren P at Flight Centre Garden City. Will be using her expertise again for our next holiday! Lauren booked a trip to NZ for us with a month's notice. Despite an extremely busy time period, she made sure to answer all of our questions and book us exactly what we wanted. Despite some hiccups from other suppliers, she came up with solutions to ensure we could still do what we wanted to. Recommend chatting to Lauren for all your travel needs.

Negative experience: ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! The male customer service assistance (didn’t get his name,only male there) was rude, pushy and not helpful at all. Wouldn’t go back to this store to book a holiday for my dog.

Negative experience: Worst Service, website says the store closes at 17:30, arrived at 16:15 and was told that the store was closing. Unacceptable customer service. Further to this I contacted the flight centre customer service hotline, waited for 15 minutes with the call soon being terminated. I expect before customer service and satisfaction from a leading business. This is one company that has fallen behind with customer service! Recommendation would be to go with another travel agent.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointing customer service with the gentleman on 3/7/2022, 10am sitting at the front desk. Not listening to any information provided to him from flight centre website about multiple flight details available that I showed him and refusing to check repeating non-stop that he doesn’t have access to a flight that shows in any flight search website including flight centre’s website. Went there to buy two international flight tickets worth over $10k but had to leave after several minutes as the sales person seemed very angry and in rush. Terrible experience and waste of my time driving there.

Negative experience: I found Alicia at garden city Flight Centre to be hard work to deal with and next to No customer service from her, bad advertisement for Flight Centre not interested in people. There was no joy in booking through her and things appeared to be a problem , wouldn’t book through garden city again I recommend to book your tickets direct with airline app and hotels as direct you have control and change upgrade or add bags , As they are just the middle person and really don’t care ,I would of thought post covid they would be grateful for business instead of treating customers like a nuisance.

Negative experience: Worst customer service ever, can't get a hold of anyone. Bought 2 flights 1 week and a bit ago, still haven't received my flights. Was promised in 48 hours max. Went 4 days later from when it was purchased and was told the flights were sent and still was not sent. It's been a week and abit and still have not go tmy flights. Emailed and called multiple times and no response. Absolute rubbish service and I recommend just booking your own flights. Never again

Fantastic experience: Super easy, Ella was amazing, helped me change flights last minute and was so helpful in getting everything sorted and providing me with all the right information super quickly. Ella explained all the requirements and what I needed to do on my end (vaccine certificates etc), which I wouldn't have known otherwise. Amazing service, I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to book flights.

Negative experience: Please hire some professional workers, lady working today she is very rude we already have appointment she said I can't do because I already told staff to call to cancel but I don't know why he not call sorry I can't do. Very very rude lady ever I saw today in your office, other 2 are very professional but she is very rude even have appointment and we r happy to wait she is very rude never ever visit your office again. I don't know why you hire that type of workers, if we spend alot of money on our trips we are happy to pay for your appointment but we need respect not rude behaviour. On the same time I want to complaint about her I tried to call customer care but they not pick my call. Now nothing happen just we got disrespect but we by it self book our flights.
