Negative experience: Good staff but...holding RAA Home and Contents insurance policies for 30 plus years doesn't seem to be adequately valued by the organisation. Suffered severe 'bill shock' recently to learn my RAA Home and Contents Insurance had risen from last year by $750, a whopping 40 per cent! After researching comparative insurance policies and premiums online, I considered changing to an alternative insurer to the RAA. Those alternatives of which there quite a few, are priced significantly lower. Having been an RAA member for over 50 years (as has my wife) and having held with them Comprehensive Car Insurance and Home and Contents Insurance policies for most of those years, I attended the RAA Shop Modbury location hopeful of securing 'better' deal. Very sadly...no such luck! While the person I saw at Modbury was polite and courteous, there was no inkling, suggestion or consideration offered that could make any significant reduction the RAA premium. As a consequence of the perceived and largely 'non-negotiable' stance, I won't be renewing my RAA Home and Contents Insurance as there appear to a lot better deals around. And must add, I encountered a similar experience when attending the RAA Modbury Shop about a year ago to negotiate a better deal on a Comprehensive Car Insurance policy. Again, a significantly better deal was secured by undertaking comparative research online. Overall as a loyal RAA supporter over 50 years I'm very disappointed and somewhat disillusioned that customer long term loyalty to the organisation does not appear to be adequately valued. Am I the only one to experience this?

Fantastic experience: Booked a trip on the Ghan to Darwin today. After our first visit when it was very crowded and noisy we had an early appointment today with Tamara and she was excellent. Very helpful, friendly and patient with explaining everything. We are excited about our trip and glad that we gave the RAA travel shop at Modbury a second chance.

Negative experience: As a younger boomer, I went in for some advice on a European holiday, I saw two staff members from the travel section just sitting around. I think there was only one person in the entire shop and no one at travel counter. Enquired about travel and was told, "You have to make a booking." So I shrugged, as I got impression, I was not wanted and I was actually imposing on their sitting around. Poor form RAA. Customer service dreadful. So guess what, I won't be relying on them for any travel now or at any time in the future.

Negative experience: Very Disappointed in the customer service at this branch. Staff talk amongst themselves and leave the customer hanging. Went in to collected 2 large suitcases ordered. Advised to get trolleys by Male Staff member Ben. On my return found the boxes pushed into the middle of the store with Ben sitting at his computer. He did not give eye contact or offer to place the boxes in the trolleys. Was appalled that he continued to ignore me and had a female staff member place the boxes into the 2 trollies for him. All he was prepared to do was put the transaction thru on the computer. Even this he didn't know how to do, as the same female staff member had to assist him. It felt like he didn't want to be there and that customers were an inconvenience. He didn't interact well with his fellow staff members either. Very disappointed and found the branch atmosphere and staff moral low. The only saving grace was his female colleague.

Fantastic experience: We were planning a trip and believed we had membership included in the warranty by the dealer. THIS was not the case it had not been renewed since Feb 23. The lady was very helpfull and now we are comp members and I do not need to travel such a long distance for ford service

Negative experience: As a member I’m close to calling it a day. My subs no longer deliver the promise, and when I try to call it’s ALWAYS a waste of time. After waiting over a minute listing to BLAH BLAH, I’m consistently informed that “ALL operators are busy” and I’m invited to leave a message. LOGIC: how were they not ALL busy when they first hit me with auto attendant, and therefore why didn’t I get the “leave a message” invitation BEFORE I wasted more of my time!

Negative experience: do not recommend this driving school! please do not take your kids here or even as an adult! i was called names “bipolar” and “stupid” and constantly put down during the lesson twice i pulled over and begged to be taken home and had multiple panic attacks to the point, i gave up and had months off and went to a female instructor stephanie and haven’t had an issue since and have started to love to drive.

Fantastic experience: I recently went to RAA in Tea Tree Plaza to organise some insurance for our Car & Camper Trailer, as well as roadside assist. We were assisted by Linda, who was competent and professional as well as warm and friendly. We couldn't fault the customer service, we were organised quickly and for a great price! Highly reccomend.

Fantastic experience: I've not been a member for more then 6 months but when I rang in distress very late on a Wednesday evening as my car broke down in a rural location the most lovely lady over the phone went so far out of her way to make sure I got home safely with my car. It's clear to say I'll be renewing a membership very shortly.
Negative experience: It is hell to contact raa with a general enquiry. Have rang 3 times this week and been on hold for at least 20 minutes each time and still not been able to talk to anyone

Fantastic experience: The shop is easy to find on the lower level of Tea Tree Plaza. The variety of items on the shelves are well laid out for casual browsing and you'll be surprised at what they have. No waiting or long queues here but there are chairs if you wish to sit and peruse the products more closely. More importantly the friendly and very helpful staff are at hand when you need them. Worth a visit!
