Negative experience: Loved the location - WA is amazing. Unfortunately the quality of the campervan was not great - we were delayed 4 hours in departure because of issues with the van, ultimately having to return it being replaced. Technical issues continued, our luggage ended up getting drenched because of water being pumped up through the floor - the agents who booked the van in did not believe us that this issue occurred. Will definitely book another RV holiday, it just won't be with these suppliers.

Fantastic experience: I was pleasantly surprised with the speed of your onboarding process. In hindsight, from my individual perspective, I would have benefitted enormously via a "How to get the most out of your rental Motorhome" video, customized to my preferred model, (with programmed interactivity FAQ's from genuine hirers with similar lack of experience) more than 90-days out from my financial commitment (and a certificated level of understanding assessed by TBT administered online should be rewarded by an appropriate discount). I would like more transparency about Insurance/Bonding options before I had made verbal promises to my children about the affordability of our holiday. Unfortunately, given my positive experience this time around, I would have liked to have had connectivity to a repository via which I could have compiled feedback progressively. I had such positive experiences at BIG4 Holiday Parks that I believe fellow renters should share suggestions on the availability of sites with power and water, and the specific locations of roomy parking solutions for lengthy campervan/motorhome could be maintained (i.e., weed out those locations which have since been modified so as to make parking problematic for vehicles approaching 8 meters in length) and a dynamically updated visual representation of Wi-Fi coverage areas (supported by all known telcos) across Australia.

Positive experience: A few days before we were due to pick up Camper (Fiat..Lets Go Atlas) we were advised the booked vehicle had been smashed and would not be repaired in time and we were upgraded (at no extra cost) to an Iveco Camper. We looked up the details and decided alternative should be ok but we were concerned about the extra size and fuel consumption. We have hired campers previously (Mercedes mainly) and usually got 10/12 ltrs per 100 km. Upon expressing our concern we were assured that Iveco wouldnt use much more as it is new and more efficient. We slowed down from our usual cruise speed of 100 kmh to about80/85kmh which helped reduce from 20 lt/100km to about 15lt/100km. In summary we drove like an economy run but the extra time travelling (over 8000km) and extra fuel cost of approx $1200 was annoying. The vehicle was easy to drive, especially considering its size but not so easy to find parking sometimes. Although almost new it had some problems, ie step that worked occasionally but sorted out itself after 2 weeks or so, TV in bedroom never worked (no power), occasionally cruise control would stop working (the only way was to stop and turn off motor, then restart) and various warning lights for faulty external lights??? Each time we did a visual check externally and all ok. After spending a lot of time on the phone trying to arrange an agent (?) to look at step we were told by representative in Sydney that we could go to Broome and have it looked at. A 2 day detour and overnight stays revealed that there was no agent there but that we could either purchase a step (cost to be refunded) or we could collect one from an arranged place after the long week end. We decided not to waste any more time and expense in Broome. I wish to point out the lady in Perth who handled our phone queries/problems was most helpful, especially sending photos of camper taken at pick up to resolve missing trim trom roll out awning and setting up fridge and front tv. This was not noted at the time and was clearly missing at pick up. No further concern for us. Overall a good experience but we will be more particular in the vehicle we hire and check it out more carefully to ensure everything works.

Fantastic experience: The Escape was perfect for us .The staff meeting and briefing and debreifing were excellent and very friendly and informative particularly the lady from Ohio and the lovely gent who debriefed us. First class all round,thanks.

Fantastic experience: We had a great time and the car hire was super easy. The team assisted in a smooth pick up and Darryl who we collected the car from gave us some great tips for places to visit. Legend!

Fantastic experience: The pickup location was surprisingly large, and whilst the onboarding and departure look longer than we hoped, the area was comfortable with plenty of seats and coffee facilities, and even showers to help travellers. Staff were engaging and competent in setting us up for a great holiday.

Negative experience: Our trip was pleasant, except that our campervan had faulty electrical sockets and we couldn't charge our phones. The iPad burned down while connected to the socket while charging. The fire alarm in the car didn't even go off, if we had left the campervan and left the device plugged in, the whole car would have probably burned down. In addition, the phone charging port also burned down. I filed a complaint, brought the burnt devices and the campervan rental company said that the campervan was not defective and generally they did nothing about it. I don't recommend it unless you want to destroy your devices electrically or burn them.

Fantastic experience: Hired a roof top 4x4 with some trepidation but found it easy to erect. It was well designed and pretty comfortable ( sleeping bag on the mattress helped the padding) we found the ground annex attachment easy to put up and provided good privacy. Toyota was great to drive. Truck was well supplied with all the camping stuff. Fridge worked well.

Fantastic experience: We loved our first campervan experience! The van came with everything we needed for a wonderful weekend getaway and was much easier to drive than expected. Will absolutely do it again.

Positive experience: Very basic. Could use camp chairs and thicker mattress! Also single burner stove too small.

Fantastic experience: The camper was fantastic. Very clean and supplies such as linens great. The staff we dealt with were wonderful. Had a small issue with the battery leads coming loose and we popped in for repairs. Was handled fast and efficiently with friendly no stress staff.

Fantastic experience: Everything you could possibly want inside a campervan was in there, they thought of absolutely everything. The customer service from Discovery Campervans was great leading up to the booking as well. I would absolutely use them again and highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Great, clean van and covered every thing we needed

Positive experience: The camper van was very nice, modern and roomy, good fuel consumption. All the staff were very nice to deal with too. The minus was that these vans obviously have a very quick turnaround and ours was not cleaned or checked properly. The issues were: Maggots in the fridge which also smelled. (We noticed this at the depot before we left so the cleaner came and sorted it out) Toilet cassette not emptied properly. Washing line was just two relatively short pieces of cord. Push on hose attachment which comes as two different sized components which screw into each other to fit the different tap sizes on the campsites were completely over tightened and locked into each other, has to find a handyman on campsite to undo with grips. Digital toilet cassette light on panel to show when full not working. Main cabin heater didn’t work for the first two days but then started working on the third for some weird reason. The company did offer to find a mechanic to look at it if I gave them our itinerary, who we didn’t have as we were just seeing how we felt on a day to day basis. It didn’t matter anyway for the time it wasn’t working as it was warm enough. So like I have said, a great van overall and experience overall and very helpful staff, just more attention required to everything on turnaround.

Fantastic experience: A great way to travel the Melbourne countryside. All the facilities needed in our camper so we could just stop wherever whenever we wanted. Waking up to beautiful views is the best.

Negative experience: Don't expect a refund if something goes wrong. The "travel credit" scam is as strong with Discovery as it is with bigger travel companies who partake in the same treatment of customers. I originally booked with Discovery ahead of the COVID-19 pandemic but had to cancel when state borders closed in 2020. I have only just completed the trip in 2024. While I appreciated Discovery's willingness to extend the period of validity for my credit, I lost a lot of money as prices went up in the intervening years, so what I booked in 2020 became inaffordable in 2024. Hence why "travel credit" is a scam for consumers. I asked repeatedly for a refund as opposed to credit over the years, but was never afforded one, so the trip I ended up doing was far less than I originally wanted to. Once I booked the trip, Discovery's service as a middle-person was good. They booked me with Star RV/Jucy, which was OK, but the decision of which provider to take was largely handled by them, so a bit disappointing. I would have given only one star as I'm still very angry about the "credit" situation, but decided on two as the service, when it came, was pretty good.

Positive experience: Had a great time. Packing everything up every time you move the camper takes a bit of getting used to. But it works when you keep everything tidy.

Positive experience: I really enjoyed my 4 days with the motor home. However, I hadn’t read my email correctly and hadn’t arranged the parking of my car. I spent over an anxious hour looking for somewhere to park my car. Being the long weekend the one and only car park was full. I then drove around the estate looking for a car park. There were several cars that had been stripped completely, others with all their wheels taken. At this stage I am panic struck. In the end I just parked my car out the front of Crusin on. As I started on my way with the motor home I stopped at a shop for a cold drink. By chance the Rent-a-bomb place was open. I asked them if I gave them some dollars could I park my car there. They said yes. I then had to walk back in 38 degrees to get my car. Finally I am on my way. The motor home was beautiful and clean and easy to drive. I had a fabulous time. Unfortunately I won’t be using the same company again as there is no car parking.

Negative experience: Turned up to Perth office on time. one woman sitting behind a desk, didn't look up but said "I'm busy, just wait'. Yeah & good morning to you too. The next woman came in looking like she'd been to the Antarctic. No acknowledgement to us, complained about how cold it was to her team mate. Looked at us & asked if we had a booking. Yes we do. Come over here, I'm too cold to move (3 m). So we stood for quite some time, she just did the paperwork, no other conversation. Utter cow. Then took us to look at & tell us all about the van, which we found as we went along was not completely correct. She asked what time we'd booked to come back in & I said 1pm on Saturday. NO! you have to be here earlier as the gates close at 1 & you'll be charged an extra day. When I asked why I had the option to make a 1pm booking, she said not her problem. Seriously Sylvia, you've got to have some manners. The lady who was there when we returned greeted us with a smile, said 'I'll just have a look through the van before organising your deposit return.' Did you have a good time, I bet you did! Came back, said 'it's fantastic, thank you'. Pushed a few buttons & we were off. Would NEVER deal with Perth again if Sylvia is still there.

Positive experience: A great experience, being able to try out a motorhome as I'd always wanted to try one. Fairly easy to drive and navigate through caravan parks and simple to operate with the amount of videos available online to guide you through. Great having everything you need included, only extra we could have wanted would be a floor towel for outside the toilet/shower, but that's not a huge issue. Overall, excellent experience I'd recommend to anyone wanting to try.

Fantastic experience: In the process of booking a camper van. So far so good. The rates are very reasonable and the Stress Free package is real value for money I think. Nikita, who I have been dealing with is super helpful and answers any questions I might have.

Positive experience: By and large we enjoyed the time we spent travelling in the motorhome. There was some feedback given at the drop off location regarding “””defects” but these were not major items.

Fantastic experience: Our camper was awesome, we did 3,200km's in just over 2 weeks without any issues. Having an appointment to collect our van meant only a short wait and I got a quick run through on everything I needed to know about the van before hitting the road. Dropping off was very easy too thanks to the team at Kewdale in Perth.

Positive experience: We had a wonderful 10 day hire. The roads weren’t the best, pot holes everywhere between Melbourne and Sydney along the coastal road. We had to get two front tyres replaced. The company were wonderful to work with. They got us very quickly back on the road with two new tyres. We did lose one day which was disappointing. Our first time hiring a campervan. It was all very new to us. Would use Discovery Campervans again due to their very good customer relations.

Positive experience: We rented a Maui/Mighty motorhome, and although we enjoyed the trip, the vehicle's conditions were subpar considering the price charged. Some of the drawers were not locking properly and kept opening during the drive. Additionally, the van was not very clean upon receipt, and the company only provided the bare minimum essentials. Given the cost, one would expect a well-maintained vehicle with basic supplies like a sponge, dishwasher liquid, and sufficient toilet treatment powder for the trip. The glass and plates were not very clean when we picked up the vehicle. The bundling of multiple partner companies into one centrally managed service appears to limit competition and places less emphasis on customer service.

Fantastic experience: From pick up ( a lovely welcome and helpful suggestions from Martha) to drop off we were very happy with the campervan and Discovery. We needed to ask a couple of questions en route and the calls were answered quickly …great service. And we loved the van - lots of daylight, a great size for two of us and great to drive, apparently! A perfect way to explore the beautiful island of Tasmania.

Fantastic experience: We loved having our home travel with us throughout Tasmania. Our camper had everything we needed. We did bang our head A LOT on the over-head bed frame on our way to the drivers seat! Clean, well equipped, we loved it!

Fantastic experience: The hiace campervan was great for my husband and I for a 5 day exploration of Tasmania. Pickup and dropoff went seamlessly - while the pickup location is not at the airport, it was a short taxi/uber ride, and the staff were friendly and efficient. The camper was not new, but everything worked and I thought the layout was excellent for the size of vehicle. Thank you for a great service.

Fantastic experience: The car was super comfortable, and very fuel efficient (much more than we thought). The appliances with fridge, cutlery, and bedding were perfect. I strongly recommend it and will use it again in the future.

Positive experience: The Campervan was in good condition, just few things like toilet door handle and fridge compartment were not in great shape. At the moment of the rental the campervan was not ready, so we've waited 1 hour to get the keys. The woman who was explaining the campervan's features didn't know jow to answer to our questions sometimes, but we managed to understand everything through the information leaflets provided by the company. However overall the campervan was great, we had an amazing time and I would love to do it again! Definitely recommend this company and make sure you get the stress free package, as it is easy to damage the campervan if is your first trip! :)

Positive experience: The 24/7 line is not very considerate in handling the call. Long delay when we ring

Positive experience: Very good service and the Hi-Top campervans are efficient are offer good power. We wish they had USB fittings to power-up mobile phones as this was a big problem. Unless you book for powered sites it is difficult to keep phones charged, as we need them to use Maps upon travelling. This is our only criticism, as they are essential for navigation in areas that you have no idea how to get to places. Thanks Adrian

Negative experience: The 6 berth van we hired was very old and dirty. Had it sent back twice before I accepted it.The velcro of the seat cushions kept moving, I'd say because the van was too old. Back brake light didn't work. Had to get them to replace the electricity cord as some wires were exposed. All this should be checked before you pick up a van. All in all for the money you pay this is unacceptable. On returning van....Customer service is literally nil.

Positive experience: Good vehicle thanks, bedding very lumpy due to plastic supports under thin foam mattress. Some camping chairs and outdoor table would be good( and included in price).

Positive experience: We did a trip through Victoria South Australia and the NT. Vehicle was a tad old rattled a bit and front suspension quite worn however amazingly economically with 10.4 k per litre over about 9000 k Vehicle well designed and great visibility. We went to all the NT hotspots and really enjoyed our trip. Cupboard latches coming loose plus engine warning lights for no reason we’re a worry as was the fact that we charged a hefty rate for using credit card and full day rates charged even when vehicle had to be returned by lunch time on because the office was closing on a Saturday which I think is unreasonable. We had to pay full day but couldn’t use the vehicle for half of it!!

Fantastic experience: Booking a RV touring trip around NZ was made very easy thru Discovery Campervans with my agent Kayla- explained the many options of the different companies the different vans and packages and gave me a very clear detailed quote and ensured that the van, pick up and drop off points were all available. Definitely recommend you go to their website if you want to book a NZ touring holiday.

Fantastic experience: Just love travelling with a campevan, much better than just a car and the convenience to have everything with you. Stopping and fix a meal anywhere suitable next to the road.

Positive experience: The Mini Winnie as we called it, we hired, was easy to drive, set up and use. The run down we received was informative and clear, our information lady was great. As this was our first time with one of these campers, the only change we'd make for another trip would be the sleeping set up. That would be taken care of with a different vehicle I'd say. That aside, it had everything we needed, the fuel economy was pretty good and our family trip was enjoyable. :)

Positive experience: Loved taking our "home" everywhere we went. We had the most basic camper ... but it was within our budget and we had everything we needed. Plenty of storage, we could stand up inside comfortably, and good to drive although a hitop can be challenging on windy days. But we could just pull over, make a cuppa and have a rest.

Positive experience: We hired the conquest van and drove from Darwin to Coober Pedy and back to Darwin across a 2 week period, stopping at all the usual NT places to see. From start to finish the service we received from Let’s Go Motorhomes was fantastic. Booking was simple. When we arrived to collect the van, Sam was fantastic with taking us through how everything worked. I had read some negative reviews, but honestly I can’t fault the service and assistance. Our trip went exactly as planned. Would recommend.

Positive experience: Leaky windows when it rains. The cushions are all wet. Had to sleep on cold wet beds. Too far to drive all that way back to fix the problem. When we feedback to the staff upon return, all they did was to 'note' the feedback!

Positive experience: We rang after the first day to say the TV would not work, no answer, I rang again to say that the cupboard was falling down. Rang 6 times and left my number, even emailed, 'Let’s Go', no answer

Fantastic experience: We had a memorable experience traveling in Perth, Australia. The staff in STAR RV Perth was awesome. One of the mechanic start with B (sorry I forgot his name, the gentleman in the photo attached) was excelent helpful and friendly. The first day we got the motorhome the lady staff was friendly too. The motorhome was in great condition, clean and looks new. I would rent again from STAR RV in my near future or recommend to my friends. Great job guys in STAR RV Perth, Australia.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely the best experience, would highly recommend to anyone wanting to explore without limits of where to stay.

Negative experience: Be very careful booking your van with these guys. After spending hours looking through the different options, I chose a van through Discovery campervans. I was told that I was flying in too late and could not pick the van up until the next day, fair enough so I organise accommodation close to where pick was to be. I was then told by Discovery that my van was not available. They then tried to show me a lesser quality option for a lot more money. When we think they would try a little bit harder than that for the inconvenience. The fact is they don't own campers they just walk on behalf of other owner suppliers. The links to the suppliers how far from reliable. Definitely suggest going direct to the direct if you want to be sure of your booking.

Fantastic experience: The Jucy and the Spaceship were similarly equipped. We likes the Spaceship best as you can keep the bed made up and still have room behind the seats. The utensils and stoves were in better shape in the Jucy tho. Loved the inexpensive accommodation + freedom to go anywhere!

Positive experience: Discovery staff were brilliant at all times. Letsgo staff were mostly Ok. The Letsgo Motorhome were given was in extremely poor condition. We have complained to Letsgo.

Negative experience: I rented the campervan for about 3 weeks and have been using the same gas cylinder throughout. Be it 1 week or 2 weeks or even 1 month, you will be living with the same cylinder of gas. This may not be sufficient if there are regular cooking and showering. Also, was not being guided to check gas balances at time of pick up. Otherwise satisfied with the campervan for 2 persons.

Fantastic experience: Discovery were great. Friendly, and efficient. Collecting the vehicle in Darwin was annoying. We were lucky, 4 hour wait, heard some waited up to 7! The clearly overworked and understaffed team at the pick up point, somehow, remained calm in the brewing storm of customer discontent.A credit to Elaine. I received a good will refund upon returning the vehicle, which eased my disappointment at losing half a day of our 9 day trip. I believe the wait times were unreasonable, despite the NT somewhat relaxed demeanour.

Fantastic experience: We loved our campervan holiday and will certainly use them again. We had some problems with the van however they were addressed and fixed and the staff were very understanding and helpful. The 'help' team were excellent.

Negative experience: Terrible service! Waited hours in line only to be told now we need to find your vans keys. Poor computer system that took forever to book us in and nowhere to take kids while we waited, just an old parking lot. Organise a betterrr service guys or don't operate at all!!!!
