Negative experience: Don’t waste your time! Hopeless service by Vanessa who would rather look off into the distance than help. Would not look into any other flights and accommodation within Europe and until main flight was booked. We really needed to see if internal travel would work with what we were thinking before booking return flight to Europe.

Fantastic experience: Need to do a major shout out to the brilliance of Clare at Flight Centre Eastgardens - I walked in just a week before wanting to fly to the US and do a multi-stop trip, including picking my daughter up from a school trip in Manhattan, and I had a difficult brief for her (ie I wanted certain dates and certain quality carriers and I wasn’t throwing business class $ at her!! A hard combination!). She looked at a range of different options for me, and nothing was too hard, and came up with a great combination for flights and accomodation at a great price! A real asset to Flight Centre, and I’ll come again! I’ve just updated this review the following week to acknowledge the incredible service of Kirsty - I came into get some things finalised & she organised hardcopies of my documents, and gave me the most usual travel tips - I think I will literally save $100s with what she told me! So, if you’re tossing up whether to spend $ on Flight Centre’s service fee, DO IT. The advice I got from Kirsty (and Clare) has saved me heaps! And, Kirsty was an absolute delight and fun and caring, as was Clare. What great people to deal with!!

Fantastic experience: I am a very frequent traveller and have been using Flight Centre Eastgardens for 5+ years now all thanks to the incredible service from Clare Elder! For every trip I have done, especially the big ones including Europe (3 months), USA (2 months) and New Zealand (1 month) as well as international cruise ship holidays (P&O and Royal Caribbean), Clare has gone above and beyond in ensuring everything was sorted for me, kept me in the loop with any updates and made me feel like I was always prepared with nothing to worry about. I have two upcoming trips to Asia (2 months) and South America (3 months) which Clare has been super fantastic in making this dream a reality for me! Clare has managed to find me great deals with flights, accomodation and tours — especially as I am doing this as a solo traveller! She has been super on top of communications with tour companies and airlines which has relieved me from organising this all on my own. I wouldn’t dare of thinking to book a trip without her knowledge, guidance and passion for her job!! ⭐️ I cannot recommend Clare enough for everything she has done for me and also a big shoutout to her for assisting with when my travel plans were unexpectedly interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic — she is an absolute superstar and I will continue engaging with her each time I travel! Negative experience: (having to edit as the response from flight centre isn’t correct, it isn’t the airline who is the problem or controlling the wait for the refund it is flight centre themselves and seems they only communicate through bad reviews as cannot get a hold of them myself) Abismal service, still waiting on a refund from almost 3 months ago (cancellation by airline was 5 months ago). For clarity I have spoken to the company before posting this review and they said that they do in fact have the money for the refund I just haven’t received it. I was told I would receive an email confirming the refund amount and where it’s going to but shocker they haven’t sent it and close early today and not open tomorrow. The refund was already received and instead of letting the customer know they decided to just not do their jobs until asked. I would like my £500 back please

Negative experience: Went in to get some info and ideas on a trip, Clare spent all the time looking up on her computer I told her I can do that, then she took my email and said she’ll send me some info later, but never heard from her, it was sadly a complete waste of time even going into Flight centre at Eastgardens

Negative experience: I went there to buy 4 flights, but the ladys that was looking to the sky told me that I need a booking to talk with them! No tks! I will never be back

Negative experience: Terrible service. Went in for a meeting second week of January to discuss European summer holiday. They said they would send through a quote within a few weeks. It’s now mid March and haven’t heard a thing and I have tried to contact that person three times without any response. Do not bother. Go somewhere else or do it yourself.

Negative experience: Sat in the office for 25 mins waiting for my appointment without even being acknowledged. Then told that they cancelled my appointment without telling me which I’d had booked all week and asked me to rebook (it was booked for that time because that’s the only time I’m available). They knew where I wanted to travel and when I asked for information on the location so I could at least research myself, I found out they had little to no information anyway. Complete waste of time and I can’t even rebook with another agency because they used up my only day off

Negative experience: From start to finish I have had the worst possible experience dealing with Caroline from Flight Centre Eastgardens. From charging me hundreds of dollars more than the advertised rate for my flights, to failing to send me my documents or providing any real service after she already had my money. Once you’re booked in with Fight Centre they can ask any amount of money off you and chalk it up to ‘fare difference’ even when the airline confirms there is none. They hold your booking hostage and the airline itself can’t even touch it. Don’t believe the advertised ‘24/7 global assistance’ claim that Flight Centre makes as well. I was always reverted back to the agent during Australian business hours even though I was on the other side of the world and needed urgent assistance outside of Australian business hours. Due to delays in the agent getting back to me and taking days to make a change, I lost hundreds of dollars and five days of my trip with no support or compensation from Flight Centre. Flight Centre’s culture of protecting the agents commission over servicing their customers needs to be addressed and resolved before I’ll ever book through them again.

Unfortunately with our agents being in such high demand with travel enquiry skyrocketing, and post pandemic staffing, we are finding that the demand is outstripping our ability to answer every call, whilst still assisting customers in store & over emails. Negative experience: Awful service.. our flights got changed by the airline and flight centre accepted these changes on our behalf, no email no phone call to update us on the changes. Went to the airport thinking we were flying that day to be told our flight wasn’t to 2 days later. By talking to other people seems to be a recurring thing flight centre is doing. As for this branch they were very unhelpful would not recommend.

Negative experience: Have tried contacting multiple times to discuss my upcoming holiday to add accommodation and have been getting either no response or excuses a week later. They said they would send through options weeks ago and I have tried to book another flight but no response. Need to update travel insurance- no response. I’m flying in three weeks. If you can’t service your current clients don’t take on more. Really bad experience. I wouldn’t bother!

Negative experience: Made an initial appointment to see Caroline about possible overseas travel. She is very patient and understanding. Lots of searching to find best options or deals for me. Update: hotel accomodation you pay for..you do not get! Paid for a double room..ended up in a single room..and now for my return journey/ stay.. had to pay extra for a double room..even tho i had paid for it from start. Consults blaming wholesalers! Will be demanding refund ASAP! Many emails say issue has been solved! Yes..solved by me paying extra again to get what I want!

Negative experience: We had to make a booking, fair enough in these challenging Covid times. Then this man wanted to charge us $3,700 each to fly to Rome and back. I said I can buy them for $2.500 each but wanted to ask about insurance and a few other things. I was happy to pay their extra surcharge to pay in store and not online which is roughly $120 ish I think. But he was quite rude and short with me and said that $3,700 is the price and going up in price Unfortunately Flight Centre is now not to be Trusted I then bought tickets online for $2,800 ( Could find the original $2,500) but I saved us $1,800 for the 2 tickets. Staff can cost you your business, so if you want to stay in business you best you fix your dishonesty problem.
Negative experience: Very disappointed with the service. I booked an appointment 6 days advance. On the day of my appointment, the customer service I booked with is sick. Nobody wanted to serve me to replace the sick customer service. The guy who talked to me was not friendly and unhelpful. Tried not to help but to kick me out of his sight. Just told me to email the sick customer service. He doesn’t care at all. Just got annoyed. They didn’t even call me earlier to tell me to rebook appointment. So what’s the point of book appointment then?? Completely wasting my time. the worst customer service I ever experienced

Positive experience: Service from our consultant Sarah was amazing nothing to fault. Minus stars for the new 'make an appointment' system, line up & hope someone comes to ask how they can help. The phone is never answered & don't bother using the call back option. I used it 3 times, they never called back. Hence the line up at the store to book an appointment. Ridiculous, needs immediate attention.

Negative experience: Very dissappointing service. Called for appointment only to be told they refused to serve us because we are not in the position to pay deposit as yet. Our travel plan is legit though - its a 14 days holiday across swiss & france and been using flight centre quite often in the past. WORST experience ever.

Negative experience: Very bad customer service. We purchased a vacation package online and wanted to confirm that the hotel stay included breakfast as that wasn’t clear in the booking confirmation. As soon as we mentioned online booking at the store the guy just didn’t want to have anything to do with us. So apparently online bookings are completely separate from in store bookings as in they can’t access them in the system!!! It’s like they are completely separate businesses. This was news to us. We tried to reach online and by phone but couldn’t get through to an actual human being. So no help anywhere. And even if they couldn’t help us at the store, the attitude was just bad. The guy said, I quote ‘it was your choice to book online’ as if that was a terrible mistake. Someone needs to remind flight centre that we are not in the 90s anymore and nowadays (in a digital and pandemic era), your online services just can’t be siloed from your brick and mortar stores.

Fantastic experience: Great in-store, email and phone experiences. All of the staff here are lovely and have been so helpful and accommodating during these Covid times. While travel isn’t on the cards at the moment, my family and I will be returning to use Flight Centre’s services in the future as we have been blown away by the service!
