Fantastic experience: Super happy with my experience here! I was a little pessimistic going in at first. We usually use online booking systems, and I just assumed they would charge an arm and a leg for our world trip. But Brendan was so patient and helpful and not only found us great rates with some brilliant airlines, but with the exact layovers we needed for our family of five. He really went above and beyond to get us the exact itinerary we were after. We are really looking forward to our trip. Thanks a heap Brendan.

Fantastic experience: I spoke with Simon today regarding an issue I was having sending money overseas via MoneyGram. Even though he explained they haven’t provided the service since COVID, he still took the time over the phone with me to help troubleshoot my problem. His service was outstanding: courteous, polite and incredibly helpful. Anyone familiar with MoneyGram, Western Union etc will know they are extremely difficult to get a hold of via email and a working phone number is virtually impossible. I truly appreciate his effort and can’t thank him enough. Thank you so much Simon :)

Negative experience: I’d like to be able to give more than 1 star but you weren’t open at 11am on the 9/8 like google said you should be. I work in a small business and we can quite easily update our Google operating hours.

Fantastic experience: Braddyn Sharp at ballarat flight centre- the absolute best! A couple of years ago we booked a trip through flight centre to Thailand and the service was so good that we used them again today for our next trip. I was telling the guy serving us that we chose to use Flight Centre again as our last experience was so positive- turns out it was the same guy both times. Very relaxed, empathetic, fun human. Gave great advice, by far the best prices we could find anywhere and sorted other things like insurance easily and painlessly! Would very highly reccomend.

Positive experience: In my research RE: booking a holiday alot of people say it is cheaper to book it on your own, however I found that Flight Centre were able to incorporate things into our holiday package that I would not have sercued booking independently, such as a 1000.00 wine, dine & spa credit a 200.00 spa voucher ect. Taking into consideration I was travelling with others and children I felt it was worth whatever "extra" cost was assosiated with booking through Flight Centre for an easy seamless flight, transfer & hotel check in. Knowing that flight centre would be using reputable sources and I was not going to be scammed & having somone to contact if things went pear shaped gave me peace of mind. I recommended double checking everything that is organised for you to ensure it is correct, I did have a potentially big error had I not picked it up. My flight booking name did not match my passport name - however this was rectified by Flight Centre without issue once brought to their attention. I will use flight centre again to book future holidays. Rookie error? holiday mode? or me just not paying attention to detail & becoming complacent whatever it may have been, my feed back to Flight Centre, future me & future travellers. Be aware.. The buffet sounds great and again it was just 'easy' so many options in a buffet everyone could find somthing they like ect... everything being booked to the room you just walk in (sign in) walk out... untill you check your bill and have spent 700+ dollars all while kids have eaten free ?? Whaaaat turns out it is 80.00pp to attended the buffet. It works out cheaper to order meals to your room, use other dinning facilities within the resort (Outrigger Fiji) or take a short walk to outside restaurants and pay for your children than to eat at the buffet. Thank you, Flight centre Ballarat (Mitch Evers), Fiji was devine. My favourite overseas holiday yet.

Fantastic experience: I first walked into flight centre Ballarat on a whim back in November for a surprise trip to QLD the following day for my daughters awards night. I was promptly greeted by Mitch who nothing was too much trouble for. Return flights were organised along with hire car and I had no trouble with either during my trip. But here is why I'm leaving a 5 star review, Mitch greeted me by name when I recently returned in January and asked how my daughters awards night went even remembering her name. I told him that we were returning next month for big birthday celebrations but needed help booking for 6 of us. Again nothing was too much trouble and I left with flights booked, hire cars organised. Not only has he made travel bookings easy the extra customer service with the remembering names, events and even saying hello if he see me in the shopping centres coffee shop. So congrats to Ballarat Central flight centre on having a amazing customer service gentleman that I will always return to for my travel needs. Great job Mitch!!

Negative experience: After an excellent experience with Melinda pre COVID our recent experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I went in and basically handed them my European itinerary in a spreadsheet. It took weeks to get a quote back and when we eventually received it (after numerous follow ups by us chasing it), it had a lot of errors. We tried to get them fixed but after a couple more weeks of zero communication and more attempts at follow up I gave up and booked the trip myself (which ended up being substantially cheaper based on the original estimate). I was so frustrated I emailed Flight Centre and gave them some honest feedback but simply received a unapologetic email back and no further response. I understand they are busy but honesty goes a long way towards understanding in any sales process. Just be honest and don’t make commitments you can’t meet. Very disappointing and frustrating.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service with Ally being a very efficient and warm Travel Consultant

Negative experience: After paying for a $16,900 trip, I’ve been calling, emailing, and trying to get their errors fixed for my bookings, yet they say “we will call you back” or “I’ll email you tomorrow”, but they never do!!! All booked over 12months in advance, and they have all the rooms wrong!! I need it fixed but they cannot seem to do it! Useless!! I will NEVER book through them again, and I will be sharing my experience with everyone I know! I honestly feel like I’m dealing with morons!

Negative experience: At first, the experience was amazing. I came in to discuss my first overseas trip and the travel consultant was lovely to talk to and enthusiastic about my hopeful trip. Once the deposit was made he pretty much cut contact. I have emailed and called numerous times to confirm that everything was booked and to see what else might be required (I have never travelled overseas before and just wanted confirmation everything was going ahead) I made sure not to badger the consultant, 3 emails and two phone calls, just hoping to speak to him to confirm. He never returned any call or replied to any emails. I'm beginning to get concerned that the commission was taken, yet no booking was made. I have spoken to a different consultant twice, the first time I was told each time I would receive a response from the initial consultant via email. Still nothing. I am terrified of going to take my holiday next year to find out.... There is no holiday

Claire is a pleasant, experienced travel professional who has assisted me with a number of travel bookings. The most recent being a family cruise on Royal Caribbean in sequential cabins. The booking included flights and ground transportation between the airport and cruise ship. I can highly recommend Claire to travel customers in the Ballarat community.

Negative experience: Alex was more interested in chatting about herself, rather than focusing on our itinerary. I had to call twice to find out where our vouchers were. When I did speak with her, she suddenly found them and booked a meeting for the next day at 11am. When I arrived, she had double booked appointments. After waiting 30 minutes I gave up and simply asked the next free consultant for help. He was amazing, he called all the vendors and also discovered we had been double booked on two day tours on the same day. He sorted it out in a very professional manner.

Negative experience: Flight Center is closed for the weekend but the website says they're open. If they can't keep their web site up to date with their opening hours how can they be trusted with organizing a Holliday?

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with the service provided, or maybe that wasn’t provided for the trip that we were wanting to organise. We made an appointment to see Alexandra/Ally who was lovely but has done absolutely nothing but cause delay to our plans. We’ve waited over two weeks for a basic itinerary. We have sent multiple emails and phone calls hoping to possibly get somewhere but we have not received any response to our emails, calls or voicemails from her or her other team members. If I could give them no stars, I would. Sounds like this is a common issue now with this store and brand? Maybe they should think of renaming to “Don’t Bother Centre” ??

Negative experience: I rang to get 2 written quotes l waited several weeks but received nothing l made several phone calls two different people both said they would get it done straight away Still haven’t received anything l chose the Flight Centre as l thought they were a professional company… Don’t bother to reply as l can see nothing but excuses from the other reviews

Negative experience: A staff member from Ballarat Wendouree Flight Centre assisted with booking our flights for our multi-destination trip. When we approached Flight Centre, we already had a screenshot of all the flight details including date and time from the Skyscanner website which we provided to the agent so that he can book these flights for us. Even so he made many mistakes in our quote (not to be confused with the final booking confirmation) that we subsequently picked up i.e, wrong date and time for one of the flights and no check-in luggage for another flight. When we communicated these mistakes, he updated the quote to fix the incorrect flight but for the flight with no check-in luggage his response was we should jump onto the airline website and book it ourselves!?! After the final booking we asked if he could send us the flight itineraries for each of the flight so we can double check and make sure everything is correct which he failed to do. This resulted in one of our return flights was not booked. Needless to say, I would not bother booking flights through Flight Centre Wendouree again.

Negative experience: I wouldn't recommend them. I found more information on the Internet than they could assist me with. I left after 10 minutes, realising that this visit was a waste of time

Fantastic experience: Travel Agent Braddyn went over and above for us, I couldn't recommend him highly enough. Has the patience of a saint and will do whatever he can to help get your holiday on track! We spent an hour and a half with him and couldn't be happier! Was happy to play around with dates, airlines and flights for the best deal! I would 100% recommend him. He was on time for the appointment and really effectient! Also the customer service from when we walked in to when we left was a really positive experience, it was very quick and effective! We walked in and were greeted straight away.

Negative experience: They are ok, but quite busy. Hard to get onto. May as well use webjet I guess?

Negative experience: Walked in wanting a quote to book our trip, and the man said they are booked out but the place is empty... then said to me 100 bucks and I can do a quote.. Went to bendigo got it done for free and booked our trip what a joke...

Negative experience: We had a terribly bad experience. We had a Flight Centre gift voucher. We decided to use it for return flights to Bali. We tried to buy them online, but Flight Centre don’t seem to let you use gift vouchers online. We then tried to buy them over the phone, but Flight Centre advised they don’t let you use gift vouchers over the phone. We then went into the Wendouree store, and were basically told to get stuffed because we hadn’t made an appointment. We finally got an appointment at the Ballarat store at 9am on Thursday (28/4). We’d obviously already wasted several hours by this point. Anyway, we arrived at 8.45am for our appointment. We were 15 minutes early because we didn’t want to waste anyone’s time. They didn’t open the store until 9.15am, at which point we’d already wasted another 30 minutes sitting outside. There was no apology or explanation. It then took them 90 minutes to book simple return flights to Bali (no add-ons). It was crazy inefficient. We walked out of the store at about 10.45am. All up, we wasted another two hours with the appointment (plus travel), on top of the hours we had already wasted previously. But the time-wasting wasn’t the worst part. We were very clearly told that there would be no fee for the appointment. Then, during the appointment, the guy added a $100 fee without explanation. We questioned it, and turns out it is an optional add-on. We asked to take it off (obviously). At which point the guy became genuinely hostile. Accused me of wasting his time (how ironic). And to top it all off, ended the appointment by saying (literally) ‘if there are any issues with your flights, don’t bother calling us’. It was really strange and hostile behaviour. One final kicker. During the appointment, the guy asked me to repeat my name about 10 times. He seemed to be making heaps of mistakes. So the first thing we did when we got home was check all the details with the airlines. He had indeed made many mistakes. With the first airline, my email address was wrong, meaning we didn’t receive any confirmations, and seat selections were wrong. With the second airline, he hadn’t even bothered to provide my email address or mobile number, he had my gender listed as female, and provided the wrong booking number. We honestly couldn’t have had a much worse experience.

Usually we would do everything ourselves when it comes to holidays however we decided to go back and try and travel agent to see if they could beat what we have seen.
