Fantastic experience: The flight centre brookside team consisting of Georgiii,Cass and Robert helped me greatly with my overseas trip planning,I recommend them all highly as a helpful team collectively and individually.

He doesn’t even bother to respond to emails re a prospective meeting after coming into the store on a 1st occasion That’s ok - he lost significant business from myself, family & friends - & we all went to Flight Centre Chermside instead whereby we’re all very happy with the service provided

Negative experience: Could not be more disappointed with the service. My wife booked flights and car hire to Melbourne with two children under 3 and was told car seats were not available prior to flights. She arrived in Melbourne with the car hire company unable to help and directing her to a site 1 hour away. 3 hours after trying to reach Fc she was forced to put children in a taxi with all baggage to car hire location 1 hour away from airport??? Note in the opposite direction to destination. Then to find out car seats were available. Days pass and FC still no where to assist. 1 week passes and am told that we signed paper work so issue is on us. Fantastic service if you ask me. Do not recommend

Negative experience: POOR AND UNPROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE. Booked a holiday with a friend and all seemed fine. Paid our money and that is where the service ended. Emails not answered, phone calls not returned. And this was from a senior consultant. Went in-store after another unreturned call. No greeting. In fact, he walked straight past me and said nothing. Ended up being served by someone else who was very thorough (thankyou). Overall experience was negative. Made to feel unimportant and an inconvenience. Very unprofessional. Won’t be returning.

Negative experience: I had sourced a heap of internal South American flights on the internet and a cruise and sent all the details to Charlie who convinced me he could get cheaper and more flexible wholesale fares if he packaged them with the cruise. He booked everything as per my exact details, didn't find any better alternatives and the flights ended up costing us $900 more than if we'd booked them ourselves. The FC itinerary did not show the extra 10kg carry on baggage for one of our fares that we had discussed at length. Charlie assured me it was just a limitation of the FC itinerary system. I rang Latam airlines today, 2 days before we fly and they've told me I have no 10kg carry on baggage included. I've contacted Flight Centre Brookside and they are trying to charge me even more again to add the baggage on to all the flights. They record their phone calls so this could be easily verified that I'd been told baggage was included. Zero customer service. I've been fobbed off to their generic customer relations phone number where I'll have to explain this all over again. Zero ownership of their mistake!

Fantastic experience: Recently went to Charlie to book our trip to Iceland. Not only was he the most fun to talk to but he went above and beyond to ensure we had the most incredible trip at the most affordable price. We had such a memorable experience at flight centre and will definitely be back to see him for our next trip.

Fantastic experience: We were lucky enough to see Charlie to help us plan our first big trip overseas. He seemed to be just as excited as us which made us feel super comfortable and knew we were being taken care of. Couldn't recommend him enough! :) We will be bringing back a magnet!

Fantastic experience: Charlie is super interesting, funny and absolutly incredible at his job. He managed to hook me and some friends up with some cheap, last minute tickets overseas and had us laughing alone the entire time.

Negative experience: Absolute awful service today. Had arranged an itinerary a few weeks ago, come back in to confirm and pay. Different agent. Asked about some minor tweaks. Would not listen, starting looking at flights and locations I had no interest in. Didn’t register the dates I had mentioned several times, advised a number of time I wanted to look at the activities I could do before confirming the accommodation. She then stated I was getting a bit “ehh”. The mentioned that the previous booking was all over the place and didn’t have complete access to it. Yes I’m booking a 10k trip I want to ensure someone is listening to me and what I want to do

Negative experience: ABSOLUTELY POOR SERVICE,,,Booked a holiday 6 months ago through Brookside,, Have called 6 times for the agent to call back re TICKETS 8 days to go till holiday starts and NO TICKETS,, keep getting fobbed off and last call was made to feel UNIMPORTANT as they BUSY with other clients,, ABSOLUTE DIGRACE AND UNPROFFESSIONAL OPERATION,,

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend the wonderful and amazing Charlie at Brookside. He organised a brilliant 17 day trip to Japan however unfortunately a family member passed away just prior to our trip meaning we needed to cancel. Charlie has been so helpful and supportive in arranging our refunds and insurance during a stressful time making everything easier for us. I have never had to cancel a trip before but Charlie really understood and was so diligent and thorough giving us peace of mind. Thanks Charlie we appreciate everything and will see you soon to rebook our trip!

Fantastic experience: Review for Georgiii Scott at Flightcentre at Brookside Shopping Centre, Mitchelton. Excellent service from Georgiii!!! I first met Georgiii 6 months ago when I was booking a Hurtigruten Cruise with friends that already had booked this cruise with her. I immediately felt comfortable with her and well attended to. As my now 2-month holiday in the European summer expanded, she has gone above and beyond what I would have expected. She has selected hotels based on her extensive knowledge of each city, read reviews of these possible hotels then gave me options. Her choice always matched mine. The timing of flights was in consideration of distance to hotels and train stations for safety (especially as I am a mature single traveller) and convenience as well as close to the attractions I wished to see. After a cancellation of an Italian tour by the operator, she then did significant homework on which tours she thought might replace the cancelled. She provided me a list of possibles which I researched at her suggestion and once again her top choice was also mine. In amongst all the European planning, at my request, she found me an appropriate tour to Central Australian with Outback Spirit in September with only 2 weeks’ notice. No matter how busy she was, she was always so professional and friendly. Everything went off like clockwork. It was an amazing holiday. I highly recommend Outback Spirit. She has also found me another tour in NZ for a prelude to a cruise, with flights and accommodations for January. I cannot speak highly enough of Georgii and I will continue to book holidays through her as long as possible. I feel she has an excellent understanding of her client’s requirements. Pam Lather

Fantastic experience: It’s no surprise to see such glowing reviews for Charlie on here, I’m about to do the same! It’s the first time flying with my child and it’s a long haul flight from Aus to the UK, and quite frankly, I’m nervous. Charlie not only put my mind at ease about everything, answering my MANY questions, but he also took the time after I left the store, and called Emirates himself to secure myself and my family bulkhead bassinet seats that just give us a little bit of extra room, and I could have cried with relief. That extra step that he did not have to take, has switched my mindset from nervous to excited, and I cannot thank him enough. I will be recommending Charlie to friends and family, and I will be using him again for any future travel! Thank you so much Charlie!

Negative experience: Poor knowledge of services being offered. Poor communication. They failed to pass on vital information from the cruise provider to us. When questioned about it, we were told we should just have known or that it was the cruise provider's fault. The cruise provider is working with us and not against us like this store. Take your money elsewhere and avoid the pitfalls they seem to enjoy providing instead of customer service. Terrible experience.

Positive experience: Engaged FC Brookside for our first trip to Fiji and the initial experience wasn't great - the agent was basically uninterested from the start and our request for ideas for travel went unanswered for weeks. We couldn't even approach other stores/agents because there was already an open file and so they wouldn't speak with us. We were eventually able to start fresh with someone else and our trip was able to be arranged relatively easily. Unfortunately we didn't really communicate what we wanted from the trip so we ended up staying in a resort in the middle of the Coral Coast with 95% other Australians, which wasn't our ideal destination or experience.

Negative experience: Very disappointing experience with Robert. I understand he is the store manager, which surprised us, as his service is horrendous. I appreciate he must be extremely busy - but the lack of communication is inexcusable. Not even a heads up is given as to timing, nor will he return calls when following up. We engaged him previously for a holiday in Canada and his responsiveness was woeful. We thought we’d try again for our trip to Japan and again, worst experience. He asked us to email our itinerary and we did. Over two weeks later and we still haven’t received a response, nor have we gotten any indication of when we might expect one. Since trying to get his help, flights to Japan have increased in price phenomenally, which is going to set us back. Terrible, terrible, terrible and SO disappointing. We were FC Brookside regulars at one point, but will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: Georgii made the whole process an absolute breeze. The only information that I provided was the dates of travel and the main event of my holiday. With that Georgii was able to put together flights and accommodation in a great little spot that is close to the concert and even provided some options to eat out and activities to try out. The best part though, it was all under budget. Super happy with the service and highly recommend anyone that wants a stress free holiday, plan it with Georgii!

Negative experience: They tell you it will at least a half hour wait, hmm . 1 hour 15 mins still sitting there. Why say it will take 30 mins when you know it's longer.

Negative experience: We had a very disappointing experience with Sam (female) at Flight Center Brookside. The first Saturday we went there after advising what we were looking for Sam advised we go and visit a website. The next Saturday we returned with information in hand and saw Sam again. She struggled to understand only 1 family was going. We have to repeat it 3 times. Sam struggled to find a good deal and flights. Sam then lent back in her chair putting her arms up and hands on her head saying we would have to compromise. We then said ok try a different location. Sam said she didn’t have time to look then and would have to do it latter. After that Sam looked at the door, tuned to her colleague and said I can’t speak to any moor people and they’d have to close the doors. Joke or not, that is totally inappropriate and unprofessional to say in front of the customers you are currently looking after. We will never be going back to Flight Center Brookside.

While booking our trip with Flight centre was a terrible experience, when we spoke to the third staff - Bianca - she was kind, very professional, efficient and went above and beyond to fix the mistakes from other staff and change our flight dates in the last minute and even get a refund. If you'll book a trip via flight centre, I recommend you to speak with Bianca.

Negative experience: Voicemail says business is important to us.... it's that important they won't answer their phones or even let you leave a message. So important they don't care!!!

Negative experience: Walked into Flight centre brookside yesterday as we are planning a trip to Thailand for November till December and sat down with a male employee that wasn't interested in helping us at all, he got the dates we wanted to fly and he literally told us things we already knew as we already looked up flights. We left looking at each other like he obviously doesn't want to help people book flights. Don't bother going to flight centre because they don't want to help. You just need to do it yourself to get the best deal on flights because they can't be bothered.

Negative experience: Samantha nearly completely wrecked our trip to Townsville by screwing us over with car hire. Asked her to let us know by a certain time how she went with finding us a car and she left it until very late in the afternoon to tell us that there was no cars available and she was out of options.... THE DAY BEFORE WE LEAVE. We wanted this time to be able to look at flying into another location, collecting a car and then driving to our destination. THANKFULLY my husband is a better travel agent and managed to sort it out before we left. When he called her to let her know that he'd sorted it all out she offered no apologies for not even suggesting the sources that we used and proceeded to ask him if he'd like a refund on the car hire that we'd paid for through her?! Um..... yeah?!?! You definitely didn't earn an $800+ tip love!

Negative experience: The travel agent had no idea what she was doing and clearly had no experience travelling to the U.S. Wouldn't recommend flight centre at all.

Negative experience: Have tried to get in contact with one of the staff for the last three weeks, and still no response (first email sent on 10th of April. Usually good service, but not very happy.

Fantastic experience: Samantha was extremely helpful and guided me through the whole process of booking my flight to the UK. As I am an 'older' person, Sam was there to help and also arranged my travel insurance ensuring Covid was included. I can't thank her enough.

Negative experience: My husband and I had our Hamilton Island flights and accommodation booked through Flight Centre Brookside. Yesterday 20th June 2021, we flew to Hamilton Island and went to our hotel to check in, the receptionist then told us that our accommodation had BEEN CANCELED by Flight Centre on the 7th June. We had no knowledge this had happened, we did not ask for this cancellation or authorize this (why would we want our accommodation for our holiday cancelled?!?!? FFS). No apologies from store manager (initials RC) and no follow up from him or any attempts to make amends for the distress caused once we had arrived to Hamilton Island..!! We still do not know why our accommodation was cancelled or who authorized this. The hotel on Hamilton Island fixed up this mistake even though it was not their mistake in the first place. Would definitely not recommend Flight Centre Brookside or Flight Centre in general. What a terrible experience.

He was un knowledgeable and very rude, to the point of snatching a brochure out of my hands saying “that’s not a cruise for you” mind you we didn’t even mention what we wanted. we are booking a family Cruise of 6 however will definitely not be booking through Flight Center Brookside.
