Fantastic experience: Kristeen at Colonnades Flight Centre did a fantastic job of booking my husband and I on a fight to and from Sydney plus organising accommodation at the last minute due to a funeral we needed to be responsible for. She accessed the most reasonable fares and accomodation in the area that we needed to be in. Kristeen even gave advice on how best to get to our destination after landing. It certainly took a lot of pressure off of us. I would contact Kristeen again for organising further journeys.

Negative experience: I booked a trip recently and received poor or lack thereof customer service at the Flight Centre - Colannades. I was failed to be informed of or it confirmed with me that luggage of a certain weight incurs additional fees with the airline I travelled with; until I arrived at the airport. The Flight Centre should’ve carefully advised me of this and this is their responsibility, as suggested by the airline. I contacted the Flight Centre regarding this and the return call/s were not prompt. I organised via the airline in advance returning my luggage on the return trip, where I ultimately refused and opted against dealing with the Flight Centre. Having used the Flight Centre on many occasions over several years, the customer service skills and levels have lowered which I found to be amongst other things that they rush, are disorganised, unreliable, disinterested and lack professionalism (including leaving customers to sit in the store despite having arranged appointments). I won’t be using the Flight Centre again.

Positive experience: When I booked my cruise everything was fine. When I had to cancel because of my not well husband it changed. I didn't know that the only person you could talk to was the person who you booked with. I thought the staff were there to help customers and now feel uncomfortable to come into the store.

Fantastic experience: We dropped in on Sunday afternoon (We highly recommend an appointment to avoid waiting) and was attended by Ms Emily Devine. And she was awesome! She helped us configure a rather complicated series of flights from Adelaide to Singapore to HK and back from another city in China all the was to Adelaide with weeks in between. And with better price than if we just booked from Adelaide to SG! On Singapore Airlines throughout! Amazing! The experience was very pleasant and we highly recommend Flight Centre if you have a complicated itinerary. Or a simple one.

We were amazed by her detailed knowledge of the country, its customs and culture and in addition the little known and interesting areas to visit. We enjoyed her enthusiasm and made us feel very relaxed and we became very confident that we had chosen an excellent consultant. Throughout our many meetings to finalise our holiday Ashley kept providing us with up to date information to ensure that every detail was carefully considered before acceptance. During our holiday we sent her a message seeking clarification about a train station and we got an answer within the hour. Ashley, thank you for making our first trip to Japan so safe and enjoyable and giving us heads up on so many interesting locations to visit. Negative experience: The travel agent Lana has ripped me off basically scammed me. She charged me for an inter rail ticket for Spain of 3 days worth which I paid over $100 for and I've gotten to spain and the supposed tickets don't cover where I'm supoose to ge going despite being told by her directly that it covers it. Absolute joke, not to mention the apparent "discount" she gives you if you want to exchange cash at the scam desk in their store which they claim they take no commission but clearly they don't actually understand what commission means. If you plan on exchanging cash do not do it there or even in Australia for that matter or you will lose alot of money for the amount you're giving its a joke. Just exchange in the country you're going too.

I’ve had two amazing holidays thanks to her, Canada/USA and Japan both went smoothly and she was there the whole way to help me. Prompt at responding to emails and calls, I refuse to go anywhere else now. That’s exactly why she’s currently organizing my next trip to Europe for me. Her knowledge of travel is second to none, ever time I see her I leave excited for travel and a sense of relief that I know she’s got me covered for my trip.

She was able to find us a hotel in our price range that was exactly what we wanted in a fantastic location. Negative experience: Unfortunately we didn't have the best experience with Danielle. We booked a river cruise a year and a half in advance over in Europe for earlier this year which was booked with no issues with my mum and her. As we neared our trip, I was the one having to make contact to ask if we needed any visas and travel insurance. (If this was someones first time travelling, how would they know to do all of this?) Danielle emailed back asking me to fill out a form for our insurance and send it back which I did the same day. 2 weeks later, I hadn't heard anything from her so decided to follow up and I was sent an email saying she's been waiting for me to send the docs back which I had already done and she had missed it. It's fine if you miss something however it's very strange as a travel agent that you wouldn't think to reach out and follow up to see how I was going with the docs if that was the case especially given how close to our travel date it was. We weren't asked if we wanted our accomodation and flights booked through her, I did this myself which is fine as I found some great deals but again very strange that as a travel agent you wouldn't make sure this is all taken care of too. We had no communication leading up to our trip, on the trip or after the trip to make sure everything was sorted. It was like as soon as the large amount of money was transferred that was her job done and on to the next. Very disappointing experience and after this, I don't think I will ever use a travel agent again given I did nearly everything myself.
