Wake Up! Sydney

Fantastic experience: We only stayed a night before going back home the next day but I wish we stayed longer. Friendly people, everything was great and the Christmas eve party was awesome as well as sidebar after. Great amenities as well, would reccomended

Positive experience: Wake up is a very nice experience. the people are open and friendly and there is a lot of program in the evening helping you having fun or to make new friends. the booking was super easy and even a complication with my two seperate bookings was quickly solved by Charlotte so i could stay in the same room.

Fantastic experience: Excellent hostel, very social, with lots of activities throughout the week. It's connected to Sidd Bar, where they organise a lot of activities and parties. I stayed in a 6 female room and it was quite comfy, spatious and it had lockers for each person. Toilets and showers are quite clean and they don't get crowded because there's enough of them per floor. Great location, right in front of Central Station.

Fantastic experience: We stayed 3 nights here. Very supportive & friendly receptionists. Also a helpful housekeeper that gave us new bath kits when asked. Those things have boosted up our staying experience aside of its strategic position which is close to central station and many other restaurants and groceries stores nearby.

This year, I decided to visit Sydney with my little sister and booked our stay with Wake Up Sydney—what a fantastic choice! ️✨ Their services truly live up to the glowing reviews from so many guests. For me, the highlight was the vibrant atmosphere: they host amazing events and offer so many extras—some completely free and others at great rates. Admittedly, I found it a bit challenging to sleep on the first night since I wasn’t used to sharing a room with others, but it turned out to be such a unique and enjoyable experience. ️ The beds were super comfy, and the blankets were warm and cozy—just perfect! And let’s talk about the facilities—wow! I had the best time cooking in their well-equipped kitchen and loved how refreshing their showers were . Everything was spotless and so thoughtfully provided. A huge thank you to the team for creating such a welcoming space. You made my Sydney adventure even more memorable!

Fantastic experience: Its my first time in Sydney. All the staff were super welcoming and helpful. I went to their pub crawl, cheers to the whole staff team, eapecially Aaron, Grace, Adam, Angus and Casey. It was very well organised and they took greay care of me and my friends! Casey was the most kind and welcoming staff there. When she first knocked on our door inviting us on a pub crawl we felt accepted and that continued throughout the night.

Fantastic experience: I had a really great stay at Wakeup! Went on their manly tour with Grace and Casey, they were great guides and made sure we had a fun beach day. Beer pong was also a fun event with both of them and Angus, he’s great fun! I would recommend staying here, especially when you’re solo traveling. Met amazing people here.

Positive experience: Wake-Up Sydney is a great hostel but unfortunately just misses out on some of the basics. No water fountains was a big let down and being told to fill our bottles with the bathroom water seemed insulting. That being said, the staff were very friendly but the hostel is definitely catered to a younger audience. If you’re over 25 you might want to consider elsewhere unless you want to party with a younger crowd and can sleep through people shouting in the corridor post 1am. Location is ideal for being in central though and the place was always very clean!

Fantastic experience: The Walking Tour with Adam and Iwan was excellent, we saw some of the key sights like the Opera House and Darling Harbour. I learned a lot about the city and its history. A great way to start your trip in Sydney/Australia

Fantastic experience: Bit pricey but definitely recommend! Staff were definitely a highlight and all areas were kept really clean. Would say the kitchen is a bit small for the size of the hostel and bit of a squeeze to cook in there!

He’s absolutely amazing at what he does and if I could promote him I would ahaha he made sure my friends and I were good and got us to side bar which was just as good!! Amazing stay so far and excited for fiesta Friday !!!

Bit expensive but it is worth it . All was clean . Big kitchen with a lot of fridges . Couldn't imagine better for a first week in Australia . Thank you so much

Fantastic experience: I had the most amazing time at Wake Up! Sydney. It was my second week in Australia and I’ll be suprised if any other hostel gives me a better experience than I had at WakeUp! I wanted to give a massive thank you to: Aaron, Casey, Adam , Angus and Grace. It’s my first time solo travelling and I would have struggled a lot more had it not been for these guys. The walking tours/beach days were amazing and the events hosted in the evenings were incredible. Will definitely come back here soon!

Positive experience: Great location - only a 30 min walk to Circular Quay. Room was good but maybe a little small for a private room and 2 people. Generally pretty clean (including the showers too) and people on reception were good!

Fantastic experience: I spent the last 6 weeks in Austrailia, and some of my best memories were made at my stay at Wake-up in Sydney. Its a very social hostel with tons of oppertunities to meet people and explore Sydney. The staff were phenomenal and the ammenities (study/work space, bar, coffee shop, kitchen, etc) were comfortable. The location is also steps away from the train/tram/bus station.

Positive experience: Great hostel, good location, super clean. However the side bar is incredibly loud making it difficult to sleep at night when there is an event. The receptionists Liam and Kaspar were super helpful and welcoming, thanks guys! :)

Fantastic experience: Really nice for a massive hostel, seems very organized and well accommodating. Showers are big, workers are friendly, cafe in the lobby, sidebar club beneath. Just try to go on a Friday-Sunday if you’re hitting the sidebar club. Not really any parking around. Nice area, really convenient to Central station. Perfect for getting around the city.

Fantastic experience: Loved my stay here. Definitely a party hostel but perfect for a young solo traveller. Kitchen is very clean and they offer plenty of activities and tours. Although the bar downstairs is very loud, they offer free earplugs in reception. Great spot to stay while you're in Sydney.

Fantastic experience: Service was great! Very friendly and welcoming staff. Rooms were very clean along with the bathrooms. Location is perfect being across the street from Central Station. Shoutout to Alex and Sam for making a great check in and check out experience!

Negative experience: Whatever you do, if you get booked with them do not take level 1 of the hostel unless you plan to not sleep. That is connected to the kitchen and dining area but every other night they "Pre-Game" in there so your dinner is cut off early and they BLAST the loudest music. So, if your roomed on that floor, your walls will shake, and you can't get away unless you leave. Not to mention there is a club under the bar. So, you will hear music "bumping" until 2-3am. They also like to clean in the middle of the night too. Moving chairs and vacuuming while you're trying to sleep.

Positive experience: The hostel was nice, just very very big. I thought this made it a bit harder to socialize. The location is great. The rooms were big enough, just not really space to hang up things like your towel to dry.

Fantastic experience: What a place! I’ve the best experience with Wake Up! I’ve been to many hostels and none of them compare to this one. The staff are incredibly kind who tend to all your needs. Angus and Adam ran an amazing trivia night which we won! The events are so much fun to attend we haven’t missed one! All the reception staff were brilliant but Riley stood out for me as I urgently needed help and he tended to ever need. I will most definitely be staying here again!!

Fantastic experience: I had an absolute BLAST at Wake Up! Sydney! Not only is the hostel super clean and centrally located, but the activities were top-notch! I joined a city tour with Casey and Adam, and they were amazing guides! They showed us all the hidden gems of Sydney while keeping the energy high and the group laughing. It was such a fun way to explore the city! And then, there was musical bingo. Let me tell you, this was an epic night! Aaron, Grace, Angus, Casey, and Adam had the room buzzing with energy. We sang, danced, and even won a few rounds! It was pure, unfiltered fun with a great team leading the way. If you're looking for a place to stay where you can meet awesome people and have a seriously good time, Wake Up! Sydney is it. Can't wait to come back!
