Fantastic experience: My daughter has just returned from Rottnest. Unfortunately she broke her ankle on Christmas night. The staff on the ferry were just lovely. Helping her off with her bags and tending to her needs. All the while, they were so polite, friendly and had smiles on their faces. Kudos to having such great staff.

Fantastic experience: Smooth ferry ride to Rottnest Island, and the ferry was very clean and comfortable. Super helpful and friendly staff. The icy pops that they handed out on the ride were thoughtful and delicious!!! My only suggestion to Sealink: please have front baskets available to rent for the bicycles!!! There are no baskets or rear racks on the bikes, which made the ride around the island tough with my heavy backpack (Rottnest island is super hilly).

Fantastic experience: Great trip, informative up the river seeing the beautiful views and lovely homes. Felt very relaxed until we hit the Indian ocean where it was a bit rough. The staff gave out ice blocks to suck on which solved the queasy tummy’s. The trip back was perfect.

I called them to make sure I had it all sorted then booked online but they were more than happy to take the booking over the phone. I rang to alter the time and once again they were there to help. The guys and gals on the ferry were lovely. Oh and I thought their prices were good too. Definitely rec them.

Negative experience: Got to the loading gate at 9.00 sharp to be asked if we had tickets then they said to late and shut the gate in our faces so wait 45 mins for the next one only to be directed to go back to the office to flip our tickets even though the boat was only half full, frustration that my wife had to literally run back to the office in 32 degree heat just arbitrary rules.

Fantastic experience: Save yourselves stress and book with sealink instead of Rotto fast ferries. We didn't have mad queues or an overfilled boat! I was even able to change my ferry time for me and the kids free of charge! Note small balance bikes you also don't need to pay for. You carry it on board. Crew were great!

Fantastic experience: I had a great trip. I was on holiday as a high school teacher and there was a large group of school students on the boat. The Sealink staff were great and it was an enjoyable trip. The crew member on the outdoor area was very aware of anything that was happening. The ferry was delayed a bit but it didn't affect my plans.

Fantastic experience: The whole process from discussing my journey with the SeaLink assistant, paying for the journey, including passage for our e-bikes, to discussing and handing the bikes and my tickets over to the ship crew was seamless. We were previously warned that the journey to Rottnest Island would be a little rough and they were correct, it was, but we made it safely and securely. The journey home was very much the same except for a lot smoother. I had no problems whatsoever with Sealink and highly recommend them.

Positive experience: Overall, it was a pleasant trip on the vessel. The hassle-free luggage was sent for us who stayed at Rottnest Island. We just got a small bag for the next day's snorkeling trip. The only thing to highlight is that the pier has no shaded and no seats for us while waiting for the vessel to park nearby. P/S: Neither Sealink nor Rottness express has shaded and seated pier.

Fantastic experience: Left from Fremantle. Plenty of parking at VIC Quay at 0930. Easy walk to departure point. Ferry on time. Easy ticket scan and board. Had a pleasant 35-40 min ferry ride to Rottnest. Same for return journey. I would use Sealink again.

Special thanks to Cara and Tyler for being on top of the job when we realised my husband left his backpack with his passport and my wallet on the island. Negative experience: Great ferry service, though wouldn’t recommend to book ferry and bike ticket together. 20 minutes into the bike ride, the pedals and chain on one bike got completely loose and was starting to fall apart. Made it slowly back to the ferry terminal when we realised SeaLink doesn’t have staff on the island. Had to wait over an hour for the next ferry to exchange the bike. Would definitely recommend to take a bike hire on the island so that repairs/exchange is easier.

Fantastic experience: Ground staff both at the ticketing office in perth and fremantle are super polite and helpful. The crew members on the ferry and at the jetty are charming and friendly too. Top notch service. Purchasing ticket online was also a breeze. My only request is for them is to keep their rental bike in better conditions

Fantastic experience: We used SeaLink to get to and from Rottnest a couple of days ago. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and very informative about sights along the way. The sea was much choppier on route back to Perth, but we felt like we were in safe hands and arrived with no issues. Would definitely use SeaLink again if we return to Perth in the future.

Fantastic experience: We took the 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM ferry. It was very easy to board and get back home. The crew was friendly and the ride was great. We just parked in the Wilson parking lot that had all day parking and paid at the terminal, didn't have any issues.

Fantastic experience: 2 adults, pre booked on line, first trip to Rottnest. September School holidays so rather busy. Really happy with the booking, we had originally planned for Monday but changed it online to Sunday, so simple to do with no extra costs or fees. We chose all day parking nearby, $12 The trip itself was also smooth sailing, we got boarding passes from the kiosk at Victoria Quay (Fremantle) but then also discovered I had e-tickets attached to my confirmation email (user error!) the queue to board moved quickly and seating choices were plentiful. The boat rides really well and I didn’t feel the usual queasiness I get on boats. There is a cafe onboard and the journey across took about 30 minutes. Our return was just as easy and comfortable and free icy poles were also offered for a treat. Highly recommend the Sealink team, the staff were welcoming and happy, the boats spotless and spacious. Added bonus for our travel time was we also saw heaps of whales on the crossing.

Fantastic experience: An amazing day put from start to finish! SeaLink are clean, punctual and accessible. They are well staffed so the loading of bikes and luggage on and off the ferry is seamless. Booking online is easy, and there's a special from Freo that departs at 7am for $59 Monday to Friday. The wharf location is next to carparking and really close to train station.

Fantastic experience: Booking on their website was super easy and all the necessary confirmation & ticketing were automated. No hassles. Ferry's quite modern and very well maintained. Crew were always smiling and happy. I guess everyone's pretty happy working with the company which means they treat their staff well. They're very attentive to our safety and always avaiable to answer all our questions. The complimentary zooper dooper was a nice surprise treat. Highly recommended if you're going to Rotto. I didn't use any of their additional services but I'm pretty sure they're just as impressive.

Fantastic experience: Went for 7am and 2.30pm return trip with Sealink. Morning ride was choppy. Recommend to take motion sickness pills prior for everyone, I don't have motion sickness but the ride almost hit me too. It was really windy and had intermittent rains which explained the choppy ride. Our return ride was totally great and we got free ice pops from the crew! The crews were awesome. Checking in everyone regularly and offered care. Ferry was on time For Ur island actovities, and if u r family with immature cyclists or young children, recommend to go with late return timing if u want to have 1 loop of island biking. We didn't manage to cover even half and missed the lighthouse because of the sudden pour. Recommend to buy food and eat on the go to complete the full loop and not be bothered by lunch tummy. Overall, worth visit as the scenery is really awesome!

Fantastic experience: The booking of my tickets was quite easy, even though I had a variation of my booking to that available online. I was able to speak to a rep on the phone to organise my tickets without a problem. On the day of travel, we found the ride on the ferry to be seamless. We were picked up at our hotel by the courtesy bus. The ferry ride left on time and was relaxing and easy, which allowed us to take in the sights on the Swan River all the way to Fremantle. On the return journey, we had a tight turn around between our arrival in Fremantle and meeting our Uber to head to the airport. I was delighted to arrive and disembark quite quickly, and was grateful that everything ran on time and to schedule. This made our trip to Rottnest Island a lovely and successful day trip away before heading home. Thank you SeaLink.

Negative experience: Never go when the sea is choppy! The ride to the island was terrible. Most tourists threw up as the ferry's bow literally lifted into the air due to the strong waves. It was like riding a very aggressive roller coaster for 40 minutes! To be fair, the ride back was pleasant when the sea had calmed later in the day.

I reserved through Get Your Guide but had to call Sealink directly to change dates and pickup point, and they helped with everything. When I arrived Rottnest Island, I forgot to ask where should I get the bike I had hired. And the ferry left, so I called them again and the girl on the phone was just amazing. She arranged a bike for me in the island and I had the best time!!! Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: Very seamless booking platform and boarding. All great. The staffs are very friendly. Just need to collect the bike tag at their counter if you add-on. Overall, definitely recommended.

Positive experience: The ferry is very big and there is space to put large luggage such as suitcases. However, the trip is very bad on windy days. It rocks a lot and you will get seasick. When you go out to get some fresh air, the waves will make you soak like you're in a bath. But the island is very beautiful.

Fantastic experience: Did you even go to Perth if you didn't go to Rottnest? These guys were the highlight of our two week Australian tour (though we actually only left the conference centre in two states). . A day-ish at Rottnest to see all the quokkas! Alas we went in the morning (like tourists lol) and there were a couple here and there planted on main street. We took the air conditioned mini bus tour (not the hop on and off bus) with Glenn and had a great time. Can't wait to return in the afternoon. . Ferry - @sealinkrotto. 1.5hr ferry from the city, or 30mins from Fremantle - where we stayed and highly recommend. . When you first arrive on Rottnest there's the main area, some not so nice beaches, info centre and the main street where all the food and an IGA is. . Bus Tour - Rottnest Bayseeker Tour, ran by @quokkacoaches. Our tour guide Glenn was great, it's a mini bus with a mic so not too many people (note that we went in March 2024). We drove by many places, only stopping at a couple, enough for photos but not to get down on the sand. Think of it as an overview, to be revisited in detail later on. We drove by the old prison, the 34m lighthouse (1st with rotating mirror lights) and around the coast. Glenn also knew a spot to see quokkas in the wild! . ☀️ Day Notes - Quokkas aren't everywhere as expected. There's one here and there around, flying solo. You need to find the areas where they nest to meet a few at a time. . Tips - go in the afternoon, like bunnies quokkas start their day at dusk... come 4pm+ (summer) - byo food + water (maybe a picnic too) - wear a swimsuit ready to go - bus tour or electric bike (it's hilly) - note the lack of shade, no hat no play - avoid peak season nov-feb (5k people here each day) there's something about the wind - half the island is windy at anytime, do look into that . Fantastic experience: Quick and easy booking process. On boarding at the Barracks was easy. Good seating in the boat, informative commentary on the trip. It is a long trip , coffee shop and toilet on board. Pay attention when you get off as there is no sign posting for departure and it can get confusing ; I was dropped off at berth 4 , pick up was Berth 1. No problem for me, but I did see people who had missed the Fremantle only ferry by hanging around the wrong berth

Super comfortable ferry, very friendly crew and during the trip from Perth to Rottnest the captain gave a lot of useful information about the history of Perth. I rented a bike with Sealink and the bike was great for exploring Rottnest island (which is amazing! Definitely a place to visit if you are in Perth).

Positive experience: They charge the same surcharge for every single payment option. In that case it's not a surcharge, it's just a hidden fee, and they should include it in the up-front ticket price.

Fantastic experience: SeaLink ferries are wheelchair friendly and I am so thankful for that. My adult daughter is a wheelchair user so we managed to use the ferry service to take us to Rottnest Island:) I asked a lot of questions before the trip and the SeaLink staff at Fremantle were approachable and helpful with our booking of ferry tickets and bag transfers to our accommodation on the island. The ferry was on time, staff was friendly and the ride was very comfortable. We parked on the long term parking area operated between C and D shed for 12.5 dollars/24h.

Fantastic experience: Good vibes! But cheaper than the competitors and it seemed like they had a larger more comfortable boat with a bar. But it's a 30 minute trip so who cares about the bar really. Staff were really nice, and they have really good WiFi. Idk why but it's cool.
