Negative experience: Title: Disappointing Mountain Getaway My recent ski holiday in Queenstown, New Zealand, unfortunately fell short of expectations. While the skiing conditions were consistently good with fresh snowfall, the overall experience was marred by several issues. Upon arrival, our room at the Scenic Suites was noticeably unclean. This was a disappointing start to our stay. Additionally, we discovered that personal items had been stolen from the room. Despite reporting the incident to hotel management, there was little effort to investigate or compensate us for our loss. The room we were allocated was situated at the back of the hotel, overlooking a set of stairs. This was a stark contrast to the many other rooms with stunning views of the mountains and foreshore that remained unoccupied. While the skiing itself was enjoyable, we encountered regular technical problems with our mountain tickets. Despite the helpfulness of the mountain staff, these issues were frustrating and disrupted our time on the slopes. Finally, Queenstown's overall cost of living was significantly higher than other international ski destinations we've visited. This made the trip more expensive than anticipated, particularly considering the subpar hotel experience. While the skiing was a highlight, the combination of a poorly cleaned room, theft, an unsatisfactory room location, technical issues with mountain tickets, and the high cost of living in Queenstown resulted in a below-standard holiday experience.

Fantastic experience: Great service from friendly staff. Had some issues with closed mountains and return of rental gear and they were super helpful in sorting these issues out for us. Would recommend them to all our friends in a heart beat

However, entrusting Berit and MySnow Holidays with our travel plans led to an enchanting experience from beginning to end. Our time spent on the mountains at Shiga Kogen and Myoko, coupled with our snug accommodations, was sheer delight. Every moment seamlessly blended authentic Japanese culture with the stunning grandeur of the mountains, exhilarating snowboarding, and an international ski school that superbly accommodated our six-year-old. We are immensely grateful to Berit for the effortless planning process and her exceptional recommendations. We eagerly anticipate our next snowy escapade, with Berit already preparing for it

Fantastic experience: While searching the webpage I made a chance request for information on a possible skiing holiday in Japan and Michael emailed me back almost immediately wondering how he might be able to assist. I phoned to discuss the destinations and activities that I was hoping to include in our holiday for 4 adults and although they did not fit with the regular packages that were available Michael set to work to come up with the goods. Everything that I requested has been covered including 2 ski destinations, the snow monkeys, a few days in Tokyo, accommodation, airfares and all transfers set out for us to enjoy. We couldn't be happier. This is going to be a great family holiday! Thanks Michael and your colleagues.

Fantastic experience: I want to thank Aaron for putting together a fantastic ski holiday to Japan. The accommodation he chose was perfect for us in comfort and location. He also helped us by organising lift tickets and transfers which helped us get to and from our locations. Positive experience: Great holiday and experience snowboarding in Japan, plus an extra few days in Tokyo (not booked through MySnow) Initial call and organisation from MySnow where excellent and being able to secure last minute accommodation in a ski in and out resort was great. I’ve a few not so good things to list, partly from my end not checking etc but think I should have been given better advice as that’s why we use a travel agent etc. I booked the resort and opted for breakfast only thinking there’d be other options to eat out at… not the case, as Okushigakogen resort is isolated and we could only eat in at the restaurants and most where booked out and had to be placed on a waiting list. We did get to eat eventually but not till very late in the evening on most nights. And a very expensive mistake! Cheapest meal was $80 per person! So a heads up when booking opt for all meals included! Second was communication from my snow. I had to make several calls a week out then leading up to the final days before I left for Japan to have my vouchers and confirmation info sent out, eventually got them last minute but a little stressful for organisation. Snow equipment rental was also cancelled last minute and I had to arrange my own when we arrived, not a big problem but was $200 more expensive than I was originally quoted and paid…. (Original payment was refunded by mysnow) All in all ok experience booking and didn’t dampen our holiday but more a heads up what to ask the travel consultant next time!! Go to Japan it’s an amazing place, people are so friendly and polite, culture and site seeing next level! Just go!!

Fantastic experience: We have booked our Canada ski holidays twice with My Snow Holidays and had fantastic trips both times. Our agent, Jonathan, is very professional to deal with and the hotels and travel providers they use are top notch too. An example is when we Checked into our Sun Peaks hotel they handed us an envelope with our 6day ski passes - all ready to go the next morning, no queuing required. Shuttles were very good too, waiting for us after our flight into Kamloops was delayed (quite a common occurrence we are told). I can recommend using My Snow Holidays. Their prices are better than you can get yourself and you get strong back up when you need it, as we did in 2023 when there were big travel issues at both Vancouver and Auckland airports due to weather events. Fantastic experience: Fantastic ski holiday in Rusutsu, Hokkaido. 3 mountains connected by gondalas with a variety of terrain for our family of 5. The best snow in Japan in this region! Plenty of snow and powder. Stayed at The Vale in a 2 br apartment for 10 nights - very comfy with all facilities including laundry in our room. Ski school run very well; lifts & gondalas all ran efficiently and smoothly. We agree hands down that Rusutsu is an amazing powder ski destination in Japan.

Fantastic experience: Our trip involved Air New Zealand flights to Vancouver then 10 nights at Sun Peaks Resort in British Columbia. Although we were delayed on the way over in Auckland, the flight was good and in flight service was excellent. We were lucky to arrive after the snow storm which hit Vancouver the day before as a lot of flights were cancelled. We flew to Kamloops the next day on time. We had great accommodation in Sun Peaks at Fireside Lodge which was centrally located in the village. Our 2 bedroom apartment was clean and well appointed which justified the cost as we had plenty of room and 2 bathrooms. We could ski down to the lifts in the morning and back down another track right to our door in the afternoon. Absolutely so convenient. There was a great hot tub in the lodge located on the ground floor where our apartment was (#102). Our last 2 days were spent in Vancouver - a 3 hour free walking tour, a Harbour Seaplane flight in the afternoon and Granville Island for lobster rolls. Overall a great trip and well organised.

Fantastic experience: Big White was fantastic, lots of fresh snow, we skied powder snow each day as well as trees. great way to spend the week of our wedding anniversary!! There is a lot of ski runs, so we were always finding new runs and challenges, signage was great all over the mountain, night skiing as well. Overall, the Big White resort is very friendly and well priced, we never felt like they had us trapped so would price gouge us. We stayed at Sundance, which suited us, mini kitchenette in the room, hot tub in the snow, sauna room, and ski in ski out. We will go again for certain. Thanks, Judy, for making it all happen!!

Positive experience: Well, our ski bags didn't show up when we disembarked at Chitose airport in Japan. I don't know whether Scoot Air was to blame or whether the limited time for making the connection at Singapore airport was to blame. Anyway, Scoot Air aren't a great airline: you only get one drink of water on an 8 hour flight; when I submitted a complaint about the ski bags not arriving I only got an automated reply acknowledging the email and no word since. Other than that the Shin Furano Prince Hotel was great and, after the ski bags turned up 2 days late, the skiing was great.

Hamish was great with finding the best rates for our Japan ski accommodation and hire - he also helped with transfers, hotel and train bookings. He kept in touch during the whole process and made the holiday booking process enjoyable. We will definitely refer him to friends and family.

Fantastic experience: Matt from MySnow helped us plan 2 weeks of skiing in the north of Honshu. Shizukuishi was fairly small, but there were no lift queues, so we did heaps of skiing. Appi Kogen was larger, and we got heaps of powder snow, & because there were no crowds, we were able to cut fresh tracks on piste every morning, and in the trees after lunch each day. There was no night life to be had at either resort, but the hotels provided great breakfasts & lunches, and the onsens were pleasant. Matt was exceptional in accommodating changes to our party, and organising the ground transfers.

Fantastic experience: The team at Mysnow holidays (Jono) was great to deal with and help choose and organise our trip to Aspen. Had a fab week staying at the Gant. Accommodation fab and staff cldnt be more helpful providing a regular service in and out of town. The ski equipment provider - Four Mountain sports - also fab - moving our skis to different ski areas overnight so they were ready to collect the next day & we didn’t have to carry them. Not the cheapest holiday - but all aspects were excellent!

Fantastic experience: Recently booked a ski holiday to NZ on short notice, and Jonathon was great in getting all the accommodation, car hire, ski passes and private ski lessons organised for mum and dad to get their ski legs back, and snowboarding lessons for the 3 kids. He was able to get us great accommodation (3 bedroom apartment) in Wanaka. Everything went smoothly even when we were late arriving at our accommodation and the reception was closed, a quick call to Jonathon and it was all sorted. Great family holiday with no stress. Would certainly recommend MySnow Holidays. NZ 2023. Just got back from another family ski holiday in Wanka, that Jono had booked for us. With Jono booking us a ski holiday to NZ on short notice last year, I was confident to use him again this year. Again Jono did not disappoint, He arranged our whole ski holiday again with some great accommodation in Wanaka. Tenby Apartments a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom apartment in a townhouse format, close to Wanaka lake and walking distance to restaurants etc. Which was great when you have 3 teenage kids wanting their own space from time to time. Jono arranged all our lift passes, private lessons and car hire. He even managed to get the same ski instructor that the kids had last year for their snowboard lessons (they were stoked). Having spent a little more time in Wanaka this year we got to try out some great little restaurants which is always good after a big day skiing. Great family holiday again. Positive experience: We purchased our lift passes in advance for our trip through MySnow Holidays which worked out to be so much cheaper compared to what they charge in Australia. The person I spoke to was really helpful and the process was fairly straight forward. We have used MySnow Holidays each time for our NZ trips. We normally book our own accommodation, but MySnow Holidays are pretty much a one stop shop in coordinating all your needs for your trip if you want to.
