Fantastic experience: Simone Eastwell, Senior Travel Advisor, made our bucket list trip to Australia a trip that we will never forget. She was a complete joy to work with and answered every question and addressed any concerns that we had immediately. In conclusion, my husband wasn't sure what additional value a travel agent would add vs. us planning the trip ourselves. After going through the experience with Journey Earth he became a believer in the value of travel agents: for the convenience, their expertise, and their real-time support while abroad. She took care of every detail on an extended 23 day trip with four different segments. She handled things including changing activities, changing flights, calling to upgrade our room, and helping with any problems we had. Can’t imagine a better agent! Fantastic experience: We had the pleasure working with Simone Eastwell from Journey Earth to plan a dream vacation to Australia. We started with Zicasso Luxury Travel and they paired us with Simone. With her guidance we created a journey that included visits to Cairns, Melbourne and Sydney. We traveled in March of 2024. Simone secured all of our hotel reservations for each location, tours at every location, transportation by private transport or domestic flights along with restaurant recommendations and reservations. We booked our own flights to Australia and unfortunately our inbound flight was cancelled along with two outbound flights on different airlines. As a result of the trip interruptions Simone was key in helping either change existing accommodations or transport. Through every interruption she was available to help me make changes as needed. I so appreciated her help as we navigated through that process which had nothing to do with her or flights she had booked for us. This was a five star vacation and I had a five star experience working with Simone for all aspects of our vacation. Her suggestions were perfect. She took the time to clarify how we like to travel so that the suggestions matched our taste. She also secured our tickets to the Australian Grand Prix which was an experience amongst intself. Fantastic experience: When we began planning our trip to Australia, we were concerned about booking tours from the States to take in Australia. In a Google search Journey Earth via Zicasso popped up. After inquiring about their service, we were assigned a Travel Agent named Simone. From the outset, Simone listened and understood what we wanted to do while in Australia. She was able to recommend tours suited to our level of activity and what we wanted to see; she even included some rest days to enjoy the splendor of the area. We wanted to see all the different wildlife that Australia has, as well as the different landscape. All of our tours were exceptional, with guides that obviously loved their country and their jobs. We were shown Sydney from the car and from the water several times. Each time, the guide was enthusiastic and willing to accommodate us to make sure we had the best experience. Everyone was nice, professional, and personable. A Bucket List item was the Great Barrier Reef, and it was phenomenal! This was largely due to the company Quicksilver which took us out to the reef. They supervised and watched over us as we snorkeled. They considered our health conditions and watched over us more than the average company. It was a great experience and who can go to Australia and not see the Great Barrier Reef?! Our tour of the Blue Mountains was beyond exceptional due to our guide Paul Hartmann. He was so enthusiastic and happy to show us whatever we wanted. He was diligent in showing us around and even got us to a place where there were at least 20-26 kangaroos in a field adjacent to where we had our afternoon tea. We got within 5 meters or so to these wild animals who put on a show for us Americans. Paul extended our tour to show us some small towns in the mountains. The scenery and wildlife were breath taking! All the drivers and guides were on time, polite, professional and made us feel like we were their friends. Their vehicles were modern and clean with water always available. I don’t think anyone could have arranged our visit to beautiful Australia better than Simone. She checked on us to make sure all was going well and really made us feel like she was a friend at our beck and call. Our trip was so relaxing and enjoyable because we knew Simone had it all under control. Thank you so much Simone.

Fantastic experience: We cannot say enough good things about Journey Earth! They are a superb Australian-based travel agency that knows their country well! When we began to plan our 3-week trip 7 months prior to our departure, we first had to choose the travel agency we felt most comfortable with and who would put together an itinerary that ultimately would meet all of our needs. And we had a lot of needs!! From figuring how best to schedule around the Australian Open dates to visiting as many things as possible without constantly moving around to various hotels, all while keeping to a budget, the puzzle was complicated. But Journey Earth and Penny's patience and willingness to work with us through 16 draft itinerary versions is what ended up making this trip so special!! It was truly a trip of a lifetime! The Travel App that Journey Earth uses is extraordinary! It was so convenient to have our entire itinerary and necessary documents digitally and all in one place, including the ability to communicate with them directly. Their response time was always so quick and much appreciated! Upon returning from our trip, several friends and family members have already asked us what part of our trip was our favorite, but we are unable to answer because they all were! Nothing disappointed and so many events even exceeded our very high expectations. Each part of the 3-week trip was unique and special in its own way, from our lovely stay at the Louise in the Barossa Valley to our wonderful visit to Melbourne (and the superb location of the Next Hotel for the Australian Open but also being in the local neighborhood as well as experiencing various excursions outside the city) to our visit to Tasmania and the unique lodging experience at the Freycinet Lodge as well as our final 4 days in Hobart. We also cannot say enough good things about the cuisine throughout the trip. Penny at Journey Earth did a fabulous job booking daily excursions with excellent tour guides, who were both friendly and knowledgable, and she provided great restaurant recommendations. Of course, experiencing only one day of rain over the course of 21 days along with perfect summer temperatures was icing on the cake. And the one rain day just so happened to be on our last day when we had our scheduled visit to the amazing underground MONA, a museum we will never forget - a must-see if you are in Tasmania. It was truly a trip of a lifetime, one in which we would not change a single thing! That is how good the itinerary and travel agency was for us. If we could have afforded to be away longer than 3 weeks, there are a few more places we would have loved to visit, but we were very happy with the decisions we made as far as locations, activities, lodging and restaurants.

I don't travel often so having everything planned out and taken care of was a must. During our trip we were kept informed of minor changes and given additional advise. Fantastic experience: My husband and I just returned from the most magical trip to Australia. It was everything we had dreamed of and more, thanks to the meticulous planning by Penny Webster of Journey Earth Travel. Although we live in the U.S. and they are based in Australia, the planning process could not have gone more smoothly. Through Zoom meetings, phone calls, e-mails and texts, it felt like Penny was right next door! Every detail was arranged based on our interests, budget and activity level, including all hotels, air flights, transfers, tours with extraordinary guides and activities, and even restaurant recommendations! The thrill of flying over the Great Barrier Reef in a helicopter, cuddling a cute Koala, and following hopping Kangaroos and Wallabies in their natural habitat, was the thrill of a lifetime. Waking up each morning in Sydney to the magnificent view of the Opera House, Bridge and Harbor was surreal. Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend Journey Earth, Penny (our point of contact) planned a three week adventure to Australia for us (my wife and myself) and it was beyond excellent. She took the time to get to know us, our interests, our budget and what we really wanted to do in Australia. After our interview, she proposed an itinerary and we worked together more to finalize the itinerary. Once all was finalized, she was engaged the whole time leading up to the trip by providing additional information and eventually sent us all the trip information in a highly organized packet. What is even better is that they use an app that has the whole itinerary loaded in it and you follow it day by day on your phone. The app has every detail of the trip, who you are meeting for a tour, phone numbers if needed, links to the web sites that are applicable and much more. We actually showed other tourists the app during our trip and they couldn't believe how organized it was as well. For our trip we went to Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Port Lincoln, Melbourne, and Hamilton Island (Great Barrier Reef and Whitsundays area). Each place we visited had different tours tied to it that we had pre-planned and each time everything went off without a hitch. People met us exactly on time, the tours were engaging, and people knew exactly who we were when we met and much more. The tours and things that we saw were exactly what we talked about and had planned. My wife and I also planned a few things on our own, and Penny added them to the app as well which was great, to have our add on items and the final itinerary together. Besides being immersed in Australian culture/and feeling somewhat local, we really wanted to see some of the natural areas and wildlife that you always here about. That was the highlight of our trip as well, we saw so many different animals in the wild it is hard to describe how great it was, kangaroos and their joey's, wallabies and their joey's, koala (which is actually hard to see in the wild, she sent us to a special place where they are really down close and it was the biggest highlight), emu's, too many birds to name, dolphins, whales, sea turtles (actually swimming with them on a snorkel), too many unique fish to name, possum (was in a hotel lobby getting out of the cold) basically all the iconic Australian animals and experiences you can think of for Australia. The wildlife and natural areas were excellent she sent us to as well, Blue Mountains, natural preserves, incredible beaches and just unique places in each area. Each tour we did was fantastic as well, meeting locals, and getting to know each area along the way. We had a few local people tell us they were extremely impressed with what we were seeing and where we ended up, "a lot of people don't know about some of these places you have been, what a great trip you have planned." Along the way for the whole trip, Penny followed along our itinerary and also made sure everything was going smoothly, we didn't really have any big issues, but you could tell she was following along and engaged. At one of our hotels, she even made a call to them to ensure a small issue was being resolved. What a great customer service attitude. All our flights in country worked out great as well and went off without a hitch. Overall, when traveling to a different country, it is great to have a local group help you out and know that you are in good hands. Journey Earth and Penny did an exceptional experience for us and as you can tell, highly recommend. We are definitely going back someday and will use their services again.

Fantastic experience: Journey Earth prepared and customized an itinerary for a group of four adults to include 2 weeks in Australia and three weeks in New Zealand. This trip was envisioned as “a trip of a lifetime” and we didn’t hold back on possible locations and activities. It was a busy, complicated trip with many tickets pre-purchased, transfers organized, planes, cars, trains, ferries and tours. The itinerary was not only extensive but also was also of high quality accommodations and relatively private tours and upgraded travel options. It was not an inexpensive trip. It was completely worth the price! We thank Penny for her advice and counsel, attention to detail and when needed during the trip her availability to make last minute changes. JE provided the use of a specialized app called AXUS which also proved to be very useful as all the itinerary information was collected in one place. The app also provided commentary and suggestions on things to see and do in each location as well as up to date restaurant ideas. Our highest recommendation goes to Journey Earth.
