City of Launceston Visitor Information Centre

Fantastic experience: A good place to stop by if you are new to the area and visiting for the first time. The staff are keen to point out the places to eat, where to park and other must see.

Fantastic experience: What a great experience in this 'fair city'. Information staff at Cameron Street just wonderful, 'blondie' (apolgoies I cannot recall your name) was able to assist with my months roaming around the North - rivers to mountains to sea, through beautiful towns and smaller villages - I have done it all and hope to do all again some time. Heres to a great place and great people. Many many thanks.

I enjoyed all the tours booked through her and had a very good time in Launceston at the end of last December. Whenever I visit an new place, its visitor's ctr is always my first stop. with no exception, its service is always good.

Fantastic experience: Went there this morning and the assistant Prue was excellent. She had great knowledge could clearly explain different routes and able to answer my diverse questions. She also assisted in booking the next night accommodation after giving an interesting driving route from Launceston to the Bay of Fires.

Fantastic experience: Barbara and Cathy were absolutely wonderful with helping us organise our relatives' first visit to Tasmania from overseas. Can't recommend the Visitor Centre enough. Barbara knew absolutely everything about local tours (including outside of Launceston eg. Port Arthur, Hobart, etc) and helped us organise accommodation, tours and even city transfers within Tas. This saved us heaps of time. Our relatives had a wonderful stay! Thanks Barbara and City of Launceston Visitor Centre :)

Fantastic experience: We always seek out staffed visitor centres whenever we travel. What we have found in Tasmania is that there are not many staffed ones. But those that are, like this one, are exceptional! The staff here went out of their way to give us lists of things to do and see. Top job team, keep up the great work.

Fantastic experience: Good information worth a visit to see what is around. Make sure u ask about the free tiger bus that takes u around Launceston for the timetable! Also if u book the river cruise and u keep your ticket it can give u discounts on some restaurants and Boags tours and Automobile meuseum 10% so be sure to ask about that as didn’t know till we boarded the river cruise today and could of saved money on Boags tour when we booked with river cruise!

Fantastic experience: The staff here made you feel so welcome, that nothing was too much trouble, and we left there with alot more helpful idea's and things we could do. Highly recommended

Positive experience: Staff here were very friendly and helpful. Nice clean venue with lots of information available. They help to book tours and can tell you more about them. They need some public toilets here and maybe the opportunity to buy some water as people visiting are usually travelling. I may have just missed these features on my visit.

Fantastic experience: We came to the info centre without a super clear idea of what to do with our Tasmania holiday, but after speaking with Dorothy she completely set us up and gave the most brilliant information and help, even calling around to help us book accommodation and car rentals! She was the most helpful person and totally made our holiday, we are so grateful for her - if you are in Launceston and are even a little unsure what to do, go here!

Fantastic experience: Thanks to Susan we are currently enjoying a 4hr Tamar River Cruise (she gave us a 10% off voucher). Susan was so helpful, gave us maps and ideas of how to maximise our stay.

After speaking with Dorothy at the centre, we have an abundance of information ready for our trip ahead. She was very helpful and knowledgeable and gave us great tips for the time we have. Fantastic experience: This is located inside the beautiful post office building. Not a very big setup but yes serves the purpose fully. Onsite staffs are very helpful. Definitely pay a visit as the staff members are very helpful and saves a lot of your time if you want to make decisions that what things you should do as per your interests. This guidance become very helpful if you have limited time to spend in Launceston. The nearby landmarks are a beautiful library and a very shiny and beautiful government house building.

Fantastic experience: It was really nice to visiting there. I didn’t prepare the information about traveling Tasmania that much. but the staffs are nice, friendly and professional for visiters, and told me useful advices. There are many leaflets about the spots and tours and maps you can choose. It was holiday when I was visited but opened until 13:00.
