Fantastic experience: We had such an amazing time on our big adventure to South America. Everything worked perfectly with South America Tours and we would go as far to say we thoroughly enjoyed every single minute. The guides were all so accommodating and helpful going above and beyond whenever there was something extra we needed help with. We have found that friends and family are asking us what was the trip highlight and honestly we couldn’t say there was one particular highlight because to travel to a country that is so different to our own is in itself a highlight. If pressed we would both say without a doubt the Galapagos followed very very closely by the 4 day Inca trail trek in to Machu Pichu and Waynapichu and being able to immerse ourselves in the Amazon. The animals we saw, our expert guides who taught us about the historical events and culture of the Incas and all about the ecology of those places was absolutely brilliant and mind blowing. We cant thank South America Tours enough for all their expertise & professionalism for going above and beyond for an amazing trip that was 2 years in the planning.

Fantastic experience: Hola! We contacted South America Tours (SAT) in 2022 and in May 2024 we achieved a lifetime wish. With SAT we had an awesome time seeing the many fantastic, fabulous aspects of the Galapagos Islands and Rapa Nui. SAT listened to what we wanted to experience, the time we had, our past adventures and the budget we had. The itinerary that was arranged ensured our flights, guides, accommodation all went smoothly. Communication via telephone and email was always answered. The Travel Key app was great. We thank SAT and the wonderful people we encountered in South America to ensure we were safe, made to feel important and that our needs were met. Gracis.

Fantastic experience: Michael and I really wanted to thank you and your whole team for putting together an absolutely amazing ’Trip of a Lifetime’ for us. From our initial contact with you we had complete confidence that we were going to be in for a wonderful adventure and would be in good hands all along the way. Having said that, you never really know until a trip begins how it will really turn out…….and our trip certainly exceeded all expectations. Probably the only thing we would change would be to add in a few extra days along the way, just to have a rest day occasionally - and that was totally on us, as we had restrictions on the amount of time available, and wanted to see everything you suggested. We had wonderful guides all along the way, from Fred (Faoud) in Iguazu, Millie in Lima, Silvio in Ollantaytambo and Cusco, Algeria in Machu Picchu, our naturalist guide, Dagar, at Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion, and all our wonderful transfer guides and drivers who were a wealth of information and set our minds at ease each time we arrived at a new destination. I’m sure I must have missed some here, but they were all wonderful. In Quito we were incredibly well looked after by our guide, Juan, who provided a great experience for us with both our tours and transfers. There were a lot of flights in our itinerary, and we fully expected with this many flights, that somewhere along the way there would be an issue of some sort…….but much to our surprise and delight, everything ran like clockwork. We are eternally grateful that you and your staff booked us onto Premium Economy, as this made so much flying time a lot more pleasurable. All of our accommodation was lovely, comfortable and unique to the atmosphere of the areas we were visiting. It was nice being in good locations with comfortable accommodation, and in most cases a lot of ‘atmosphere’. We particularly loved our time in the Amazon, and we did make the decision after our first night there to upgrade to one of the jungle Cabanas, as that really added to the experience and was worth the extra money. Whilst we loved all of the places we visited, there were also some stand out highlights. It goes without saying that Machu Picchu is undoubtedly the icon of Peru, and we were blessed to have a perfect day to visit. But Peru had so many more unexpected delights - we loved Lake Titicaca, and the day cruise there was wonderful, Ollantaytambo was absolutely gorgeous, and probably one of the places I would have loved a spare day just to chill out and take in the atmosphere, and the time spent here and in the Sacred Valley with Silvio was unforgettable. Lima, was also a big surprise, and we learnt so much about the history of this fascinating city from Millie, who was incredibly passionate about her home town. We also took your tip in Lima and went to Huacca Pucllana for dinner, not once, but twice! We loved it so much the first night, that we decided to return the next night - the atmosphere here was incredible and the food was delicious. We have actually sent a few people we met along the way there for dinner, and all have loved it. The Galapagos cruise on Archipel was such a highlight, and we only wish we had had the time to do the longer cruise, as there are so many hidden treasures there. The crew were great, and the food and accommodation on the boat just lovely. Being in the Galapagos was like being in a David Attenborough documentary, and we are so very pleased that we can say we have been there now. I could go on all day telling you about all the other highlights, but It would take forever. Suffice to say, the tour you put together for us has us given us a plethora of memories we will cherish forever. We owned and operated an award winning tour company for over 20 years, so we know the amount of work that goes into putting a tour together and making it run smoothly, and you, Paula, Raysa and the rest of the team did a great job of making our dream tour a reality. Thank you again, and we will be sure to recommend your company to anyone wanting an amazing trip to South America.

Fantastic experience: We wish to thank you for all for your efforts to make our trip a memorable one. Everything ran as smooth as clockwork. All guides, drivers and hotel staff made this a trip of a lifetime. Nothing was ever a problem, if a guide and driver were five minutes late due to traffic we would be notified by hotel staff. Kathleen took I’ll in Lima and the guide did everything possible to ensure a doctor visited her at the hotel, fortunately it was nothing serious. This was just one example of dedication shown by all staff. All the guides were very knowledgeable and treated us with respect and care. Premium economy on all internal flights was a bonus. What ever you are doing at South Americian tours keep up the fantastic work. It made for a wonderful experience and would recommend your company to anyone wishing to visit South America. Fantastic experience: As I get ready to go back to work on Monday I just wanted to write to thank you for our amazing holiday. We had the most amazing holiday and will always cherish our memories from it. From when I first found the website we have had a very positive experience dealing with South American Tours. While I know there were a few hiccups, we can’t fault the organisation and choices made by yourselves. The hotels were all in fabulous locations, making sightseeing in the towns so much easier, plus of course finding places for dinner. All the guides and drivers were very knowledgeable, friendly and lovely people. I must single out Oswaldo and Ileo ( hope their names are correct) who were our driver and guide in Uyuni to Chile. I loved the fact that Oswaldo would interpret for Ileo when we spoke in English, this made our time with them very special. We had a total of 14 flights in the seven weeks and while it sounds a lot it was fine and I would recommend this as a way of getting around South America for other travellers. Fantastic experience: Nicholas at South American Tours created a wonderful custom made 21 day tour of South America including Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Peru for us. Visiting so many different sites was complicated, but the tour was planned perfectly. At each juncture we were met by staff who took us to our hotel or transport. Private excursions were arranged in most cases or we would join small groups for sight seeing. Everything worked perfectly. We stayed at lovely boutique hotels and learned a great deal about the countries and cultures we visited. Highlights included a Tango Show and dinner in Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls, Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca and much more. What a great vacation!! Thanks, Nicholas

Fantastic experience: We have returned from our fabulous South American trip of a lifetime, which it certainly was. It was all and more than we could imagine. A huge thank you to our team of Nico and Paula. From the planning before we left, the intinerary that was altered to match our needs and wants. Nothng was ever too much trouble. We found the trip amazing, exhilirating ,challenging and exhausting. We feel that we have seen and experienced so much of South America. The onground support team fixed the few issues that we experienced , like delayed flights, unable to occassionally access boarding passes and civil unrest in an area that we were going to.Nothing was ever too much trouble and the issues were resloved in a timely manner. We really appreciaited the support at the airport, getting our baording passes and luggage onto the planes would have been very difficult without them due to our lack of being able to speak Spanish or Portuguese. They navigagted our way through the terminals with ease, which would have been extremely stressful if we didn'y have their support. We were very happy with the accomodation , it was of a high standard with a central location to make exploring on our own in our free time easy to do. Our tour guides were second to none, especially, Douglas - Iguazu Falla, Patsy - Rio and Gladys - Lima. They all need a gold star, as they went over and above for us making extra suggestions to make our trip special. We especially liked the balance of our trip with days of rest, which in reality was an opportunity for us to explore on our own. You can rest when you get home! We were the oldest by far climbing Machu Picchu, we not only climbed it once but we did it twice! Another thing ticked off our " bucket list ". Fantastic experience: South America tours organized our recent trip to Peru, Ecuador and Chile. Everywhere we travelled, the transfers, tour guides, hotels were all perfect. Nothing went wrong. We travelled to the Amazon and cruised with Delfin 1, travelled on the Belmond Andean Explorer from Cusco to Arequipa and sailed the Galapagos Islands on Archipell 1. Fantastic experience: The trip went totally to plan and we had no difficulties anywhere. The itineraries at each leg of the journey were clear and we knew exactly what was ahead of us at each stage of the trip. The transfers to and from hotels were flawless. Accommodation was great, particularly Inkaterra at the Amazon and at Aguas Calientes. Excursions were interesting and varied- there was always plenty to do. I would definitely recommend South America Tours to my friends and would look for your help with any future trips to South America.

Our itinerary was perfect and all the accommodation and guided trips were very enjoyable, although the Belmondo Das Cataratas was hard to match by subsequent accommodation. Negative experience: If you decide to use this agency, make sure when you book that EVERYTHING South America Tours P/L organise for you it is through CONDOR TRAVEL in Peru (it is Condor Travel that is truly the 5 star company) otherwise, be aware, if Nico organises any other tours (or cruises) that are not through Condor Travel, the customer service from South America Tours here in Sydney is extremely average - and that includes before/during/and after your travel....... apart from that, all good.

Fantastic experience: Our appreciation and thanks to Nico for arranging our amazing 18 day journey across South America. Our journey began at Buenos Aires and from there we travelled to Iguazu Falls, Lima, Lake Titicaca, Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, The Amazon at Puerto Maldonado and finally Santiago. The tour was well organised, with some relativey relaxed days between the more strenuous ones as well as time allowed to adjust to high altitudes. All accommodation, travel, guided tours, transport to and from our accommodation and some meals were included. We could not fault any of the services. The hotels were at least a star above their rating, the tour guides were friendly, very knowledgeable and at our disposal. The transport drivers were skilled and punctual. The whole time we felt safe and secure, with easy access to help if needed. We were very impressed with the overall networking system. The finest attention was paid to detail. It was truly a remarkable holiday and fantastic value for money. Jenny, Drew and Alan.

Fantastic experience: I can't speak too highly of South America Tours, the itinerary and travel arrangements they put together for us for our Chile trip were remarkable. As indeed was the seamless movement between cities, the quality of the guides and the representatives at the airports, making life easy. The Atacama and the Bariloche were outstanding but having a gold pass at Las Torres was like a couple of kids in a candy shop, especially the Zodiac trip to the Glacier. The whole package from top to bottom was remarkable and it didn’t hurt to have excellent weather all he way. It was a truely five star experience.

Fantastic experience: Hi Nico, Paula, Just arrived back from our South America trip and had to send a note to let you know that it was absolutely perfect. Thank you so much. The hotels, the tours, the guides and the itinerary were simply excellent and exceeded our expectations. The stand out for me was the farm lunch at The Sacred Valley (Hacienda Sarapampa). We felt so lucky to visit the home of a local and hear how they live, plus the food and the experience were exceptional. The lunch was limited just to our family and all ingredients were fresh from the farm. They put on a traditional Peruvian dance show between a horse and a Peruvian lady which was brilliant. The horse literally danced! Our guide in the Sacred Valley, Ernesto, was particularly outstanding. The Galapagos tour was also amazing. The islands and the environment of course were beautiful, but the team on the Seaman Journey made it very special. I could go on for hours about all the wonderful experiences! It was a trip of a lifetime made outstanding by your expertise in selecting the best tours and operators for us. Thank you.
