Fantastic experience: Special long over due shout out to Pia! I booked my flights to Japan online with Flight Centre and there was an unfortunate incident on the plane on the way over back in August. Virgin Australia tried to sweep it completely under the carpet (which they did) so much so they didn't even contact me. Thanks to Pia I got a refund on my flights and an actualy phone call 3 weeks after the event from Virgin. Thank so much Pia!

Fantastic experience: Heidi Scholey was the travel Consultant who assisted me with my travel plans to Spain. She provided a high level of service and commitment to ensuring that my questions were fully addressed and attended to. All the bookings and seating arrangements were perfect and without her assistance and involvement at the planning stage, our trip wouldn't have turned out the way it did. Heidi was very responsive and always made herself available for questions I had. She had a good knowledge of the destination and travel routes and where she lacked the knowledge she was resourceful and conducted the necessary research which was a time-saver for me. Fantastic experience: Tarabu Elston went above and beyond my expectations when booking my flight to England and back. It was an emotional time for me as I was going to my grandfather's memorial, and Tarabu Elston took away all flight worries. He displayed genuine empathy and care. He managed all the travel stresses, organised everything in a cool, calm and collected manner with absolute professionalism. Everything went smoothly. The next time I fly, I, without a doubt, will be contacting Tarabu. This was the best travel experience I've ever had thanks to Tarabu. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Alex Kirk is super knowledgeable and helpful!!! I needed to go to Seattle in short notice. At first I thought I could easily book my flights on the internet. Only after an hour, I realised that I was still in the middle of comparing flight times, prices, routes, stopovers, connecting flights, airlines etc... Thank goodness that I suddenly recalled that I've seen a lot of customers sitting inside a Flight Centre on George St before. So, I decided to walk in. I was so thankful that Alex had taken the time to understand my needs and patiently answered my questions. More impressively, Alex has found me good flight times that match my needs. Last but not least, many thanks again to Alex for his great help with choosing my seats too!!!

Negative experience: Avoid this Flight Centre at all costs! I’ve booked 2 holidays with George Street flight Centre and have had 2 horrific experiences. Second visit: After booking a complete holiday with this Flight Centre, and spending time and money to do so, I asked to upgrade one of the rooms to a higher quality one. I got quoted and then I confirmed via email. No payment was made as I was told to pay at the property on arrival. At this point, I assume it’s booked right?! WRONG! 8 days later, an email to state that they made a mistake and it was going to be over $300 more expensive to upgrade and they wanted pre-payment now too. So not only price change, but terms and conditions change… They refuse to honour pricing, they lack professionalism and unfortunately when they refer you to customer relations, you get aggressive and defensive “Case Manager”s that hangs up on you. Despite the Case managers speaking over me the whole time, she demanded I just listen to her.. so much for Customer Relations right?! First visit: I went in and sat down for over an hour to form a trip and get a quote (which they were to prepare and then email to me) and they neglected to ever get back to me. I went back in to follow up, and the staff member had lost all the information, had no idea about any of the details even though I have an account with Flight Centre that they could’ve looked up my profile.

Fantastic experience: I have booked with Flight Centre on George St multiple times. Each time has been a positive experience and I’ve achieved the booking I needed. What made me post this review is the pleasant experience I had when REX went into administration and my flights were cancelled. What could have been an incredibly stressful experience was handled expertly by the staff there. My cancelled flights were rebooked seamlessly. Thanks so much Selena, I’m sure you will be one of the rising stars this year!

Positive experience: Booked a honeymoon close to $10k in value at the branch a few months ago. Nothing that staff did was extraordinary. I could have booked it online but was expecting a more tailored experience in store. Robots could have offered a better in store experience. No professional courtesy or warmth in the transaction.

Negative experience: Emma booked flights and accommodation for our group to a resort in Fiji, she was informed that the resort needed to accessible as one of our party was a wheelchair user and she assured us it was. On arriving at the resort we found that it was definitely not accessible and not even the en-suite in the room that the wheelchair user was booked in was accessible.

Fantastic experience: Today I dealt with Moe, making a flight booking over the phone. He was very patient with me, and extremely helpful. I could not fault his manner ( very lively, and humourous) He did not hurry me at all. I think he is an asset to the company!

Fantastic experience: The customer services in Flight Center in George Street is way better than expectations. Maria Brufatto is one of the best agent you can find there. She always find the best solution and price for my European tickets, and on top of that she keep checking on me before I travel to make sure I’m always up to date in any changing in case I forgot to check the flight updates. Absolutely no doubt to ask for her if you decided to let flight Center look after your dream flight! Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: My experience with Flight Centre George Street Sydney was the most easiest and enjoyable experiences. My flight centre travel agent; Cath Potter went above and beyond to create the most amazing itinerary for our overseas trip. Despite, asking Cath to make adjustments multiple times, she was not phased and was more then happy to get it just how we wanted. Cath spent many hours overnight finalising our travel plans and I was instantly placed at ease when I did not have to think about organising or booking a single thing. Such an easy, positive and reassuring experience. Highly recommend!

Over the years, Emma has taken myself, my partner, and my family to Egypt (at very short notice), Uluru, Europe, and Singapore. Negative experience: I raced into here to make sure I could see someone b4 they closed, post my failed trip to the Zetland office and thier wrong close times the day b4. Tried to get advice on flights and best flights to get. What a waste of time that was. Directed me to easy jet and got the stop over wrong. Then took ages to find a card for me to contact him, longer then he 'helped' me. Waste of time! Later his card feel out of my handbag, Thank you universe for this sign!

Fantastic experience: Just got home from my first solo trip, all organized by Tarabu. I had the absolute best time travelling around Thailand. He made the whole trip for me seamless and organized everything so well for me, understanding fully what kind of things would be more appealing to me then others. I did a tour for the first 7 days then spent the last 7 travelling at my own leisure which was the best way to do it. I could not recommend this man enough, The level of detail and care he has for what you want to do, see and achieve on your holiday is absolutely second to none. I will be using these guys again for my next trip. Could not speak any higher of these guys if I tried. 10/10

Negative experience: I don't think some of the staff tell the truth as I asked for a price of a flight I saw on Webjet tickets for $129 I was told cheapest flight $484 seriously what happened to cheapest price guaranteed? I'm sure they do deals with certain airlines to get bums on seats and not being honest at what cheaper tickets are available, they have lost my business very dissapointed at how they operate

Negative experience: Booking ID 2860119 So unprofessional that you don’t even have my booking reference and are acting like they don’t even know what’s going on Worst experience ever , this company ruined my honeymoon Tarabu booked our Europe trip . He booked the wrong flight for the 5th from Paris to Germany . We were meant to fly out on 6th and we got to the airport and they said you missed your flight yesterday We were stuck and stranded in Paris . We tried to contact flight centre after hours hotline with no response at all or instructions We had no options and had to take. 12 hour bus ride to Germany . Absolutely ruined my holiday I even went to Turkey and they messaged me the day before saying I needed a citizenship and I needed to organise 24 hour immediate citizenship. I had to pay $435 USD to get it asap . If only they told me earlier I would have paid way less This company did not even compensate us at all . Bloody disgusting never again with flight centre Don’t book here unless you want them to ruin your holiday and pay more out of pocket

Negative experience: I would not go to their George Street offices again. The consultant - a younger lady - round July 22 - we had was quite abrupt and rude and said that we had to hurry up with her as she had six people waiting to want to see her. Never mind we were about to drop $17k on a US trip. Her attitude only slightly sweetened when I went ahead with the sale. We also made to feel a bit of a nuisance when we were waiting outside for the store to open - and we respectfully waited aside the door - not right in front - especially when we were told that it was first in, first served and that they were very busy. I know they are under the pump but the consultants should feel very very lucky to still have a job after this pandemic. She was competent but her manner was very lacking. Will book on-line next time. Was just made to feel we were nuisances and we might of been a waste of their time. Nup.

Negative experience: My first visit with Alex was good. My second visit the staff forgot to give my ticket back to me when I left. I had to go back and get; no apology, nothing. FC in Robina, QLD refused to allow me to check in at their centre presumably because there was no money in it. Im happy to use a different provider in future.

Fantastic experience: Samantha is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and diligent in her service. We live in Melbourne and my sister who lives in Sydney booked through FC and recommended Samantha in 2019. We had flights booked during lockdown and her office was able to refund the entire payment. I’ve booked with Sam and travelled several times since then and have enjoyed seamless trips. As with any business they too experience staff shortages so I email and Sam always returns my calls before COB. I’ve met her only once when I was visiting Sydney. With all the online options available, I would still go through Sam as she makes it easier, dependable and economical overall to do so. Thank you for exceptional customer service.

Negative experience: Do not use Flight centre They will eventually screw you over with your flight, whether it is in terms of payment, itinerary, booking date, etc

Negative experience: Even giving one star is highly overrated. Terrible experience, no response to emails, staff don't return calls and when you finally get a response it's an outright lie. No refund despite emails showing refunds were completed. 2nd time they've lied about a refund being paid. Call them when the refunds didn't turn up only to be told they'd been cancelled. Totally unethical. I will never use the Flight Centre again. Even emailing their complaints department comes back as no longer monitored. What a crock!

Negative experience: Waited on hold 3-4 times for 15ish mins each time for the last few week only to be told via automated message to come into store and no-one is available - I am in NZ otherwise I would come in. It would be a better idea if there was a chance to leave a message for a call back for us that do not live in Australia

Positive experience: Friendly staff. FAQs to holiday packages need to be more figured out. Should not be advertising or accepting non-refundable deposits for countries where foreign government restrictions are uncertain.

Negative experience: Want a Flight Centre store that provides 5 star service? Do you need a Consultant who will go above and beyond to make sure your customer needs are met in a timely manner? If you answered Yes to either of the above then by all means do not go here.

Negative experience: I bought three Qantas international tickets through Flight Centre George St, Sydney. I ended up with troubles with Qantas. Wrong citizenship recorded and separated seating. I called Flight Centre and found out they did not enter passport details completely, and did not choose the seats when made the bookings. A Flight Centre staff, Maria told me they were not be able to pick the seats because of It's budget flight. They should know what budget flight is. I bought tickets with normal price, has meals and 30kg normal allowance for international baggage. I don't think it's budget ones. Please don't make an excuse and being rude, if you have done something wrong, be responsible.

Fantastic experience: I needed to fly out two people from Cambodia to Sydney in a hurry at the beginning of May 2021, during all this covid chaos with flight shortages and quarantine worries. I had already visited one Flight Centre in person and got a dubious response to my request being possible. However, when I called Emma, I received a positive, encouraging and professional response followed by a super quick result in under the hour. The result was that we had booked and I had paid for the flights within two hours of my initial telephone call. Fantastic experience: Two years ago, I booked my trip to Madrid for the Champions League final through Flight Centre and was assisted throughout the process by Agent Tarabu. He provided me with consistent updates and kept in regular communication throughout a very difficult booking process with flights and accommodation availability changing by the minute. He ended up getting me on a great flight with convenient accommodation and threw in a lounge pass complimentary. A trip that I will always remember courtesy of his hard work and professionalism.

Fantastic experience: I normally don’t write reviews, but the service that I have received from Brooke Williams Flight centre George Street has been extraordinary, I first came in contact with Brooke when I was having my online flight credit updated in 2020 which had been cancelled due to Covid. Brooke was supporting the online booking team as it was overwhelmed with inquires, Brooke organised the reissuing of our new flights, I found her to be very courteous, helpful, and kept us updated. My recent involvement with Brooke was after many attempts but finally getting through to the online booking team only to be redirected to Flight centre George Street as the reissued tickets were done in the George Street Office. Because of the many fight changes by Qantas (Covid related) our latest tickets had us on three flights crisscrossing states. Brooke did an amazing job organising our new flights, once again I found her to be proactive and kept me informed by email and phone calls. Brooke’s commitment in achieving the best outcome for her clients, her positive, friendly and happy attitude in these demanding and challenging times is quite remarkable, she is truly an asset to Flight centre.

Fantastic experience: Amazing service.. my husband, myself and my mother-in-law needed flights urgently to the States back in 2019 for a family funeral, we were taken care of by Samantha who found great flights for us, she went above and beyond to help us. Im so grateful for Samanthas help, and patience with us as we were mentally exhausted she looked after us so well.. also leading up to our flight date she emailed and made sure we were ready to fly.. Great communication through out our entire experience and definitely recommend everyone who has flown/planning to fly to go and see her! Once we can fly internationally again we will be going back to see her for our flights!
