Fantastic experience: Our guide Tim brought us on a most enjoyable tour of the Swan Valley boutique wineries and chocolate factory. It was blazing hot at 40 degrees and Tim took exceptional care of the group. He was patient and knowledgeable and his rapport with the vineyard owners was palpable. It’s a totally different experience from the big commercial tour groups. Each wine maker took the trouble to explain each vintage and paced the tastings according to our readiness. Highly recommended and it feels great to be able to support local Australian business people.

Fantastic experience: Booked the Best of Perth Tour with Tim and my family enjoyed it thoroughly. The pacing was not rushed at all and my son enjoyed asking Tim questions about the wildlife animals of Western Australia. You can get to enjoy wildlife, wine, the beach and views from this tour! I’ll engage Tim again when I visit Perth next time!

Fantastic experience: We had an amazing time on our tour in the Swan Valley wineries. Tim was very knowledgeable about wine in general as well as wine in the Swan Valley. The 4 wineries we have visited were a very good representation of the wine in the area. Barramundi perfectly cooked for lunch and chocolate to end the day :-) We definitely recommend this tour.

Fantastic experience: This was the first wine tasting tour i have been on. As a newbie to the wine world, this was a great first experience with small groups it was easy to not get lost in the crowd of people. The wineries we visited are great smaller family run wineries. Lunch was great and nothing to complain about at all. our tour guide Tim was accommodating and very knowledgeable in all facets of the winery business. As attending solo the experience was still great and easy to talk to people while on the bus or during the wine tasting. I would definitely recommend this Tour as well as buying wine if you enjoy a bottle as you can not find them anywhere else from what I have found (you are not pressured to buy any wine during the tour). This was well worth the money.

Fantastic experience: My boyfriend and I had a wonderful day out with Tim. He is not only incredibly knowledgeable about the region, the wines and the wine makers but is also a very attentive host. Three of the four wineries we visited were family owned and run so you get more of a one on one wine tasting experience. If you are looking for a winery tour in Perth then Tim is your man.

Fantastic experience: I recently did the VIP Swan Valley Wine Tour. The whole day was a lovely experience. Being in a small group enabled me to interact with all participants throughout the day and share experiences. Nothing was rushed. We had plenty of opportunity to speak with the wine makers at all venues. Tim was a fantastic guide. He took us to smaller wineries that larger groups can’t get access to. I’m a big fan of the boutique, family-based wineries – you could feel their love and passion for what they do, and they all provided a very personal service. You don’t often get this at the larger, more commercially focussed wineries. I plan to do this tour again next time I’m in Perth.

Tim was super nice and welcoming, also of course knows all the wineries and everything about wines! It was a great pleasure to travel with him! Fantastic experience: This was a great tour visiting several Swan Valley wineries. Tim, our guide, went a little out of his way to pick us up and drop us off at our motel. He was very friendly, but also professional, and managed to keep us cool on an extremely hot day! He filled us in on the history of Perth and the Swan Valley, and was happy to answer any questions we had during the day. All the wineries were different, and provided interesting and generous tastings. Our lunch was lovely and the visit to the Chocolate Factory at the end was great. There was plenty of opportunity for souvenir shopping during the day, and it was great to be in a small group, where there was opportunity to interact with fellow guests. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: This small group tour is one of the best day tour Ive taken. Not only was I picked up right from the hotel door Tim the owner of the company actually guides and escorts his own tours. He does this to ensure 100% quality and ensure everyone is well informed and looked after. Being a small group we were able to visit and experience some of the oldest wineries and meet the generations of families that have run these smaller wineries that the big groups can’t access. The wine, tastings, cheese platter and lunch was way more than expected topped of with a visit to an amazing chocolate tasting extravaganza. The tour was such a personal experience and Tim was a fantastic guide I would recommend this tour to everyone.

Fantastic experience: We had a fabulous day in the Swan Valley. Tim was a brilliant guide - knowledgeable but personable and down to earth, made everyone feel welcome. The wineries were well curated mixing bigger wineries with small family owned cellars but never feeling touristy. We left with far more knowledge than we had going in, and having had a wonderful day in the Swan Valley. Fantastic experience: The best swan valley wine tour! Small groups mean there's no chance of getting caught without wine or food. Tim was a knowledgeable and very personable guide. We even received a message after the tour thanking us for coming and remembering that it was booked for my birthday. You don't get that level of personal service from a big tour company. The 4 boutique wineries we visited were incredible, each of them.had fantastic wines on offer and the small group size means you get a lot of information about the wines as you taste. The morning tea cheese platter and the quality of the lunch was fantastic. If you want a tour of the Swan Ballet, like wine and want to expand your knowledge then this is the tour for you. Fantastic experience: We were so lucky to be able to join the Swan Valley winery tour of Best of Perth Tours. The tour was ideal because the company gives its tour only in a small group, and Tim, our great host, was good at creating friendly atmosphere letting us feel well-taken-care-of. Though I am not a big wine drinker, the four wineries had different features, lunch was great and Swan Valley was a beautiful place to drive along, so time passed surprisingly quickly. Fantastic experience: The brewery tour was a birthday surprise for my husband and his brother, they had such an amazing day together, and had a great day with the guide Tim. Tim went out of his way for me, as the two boys were the only ones on the tour, there is a minimum requirement for 4 people, he went ahead anyway despite only being the two of them, and he showed them a great time. They went to several different spots, had a beautiful lunch, they hadn’t had a day together in over 20 years and this was just perfect. Tim was like a mate to them and I can’t thank him enough for going ahead and putting this tour on for them. We will definitely be doing it again with our big group of friends and look forward to seeing Tim again. Thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: Taking this opportunity to give a big shout out to Tim and Best of Perth Tours for a fantastic trip around some quality craft breweries on the Swan Valley Craft Beer Tour last weekend. It was a pleasure dealing with Tim from an initial website enquiry about organising a gift certificate for a friend's milestone birthday, through a couple of phone calls and on the day of the tour itself (when a couple of us joined our friend on the tour). I couldn't speak highly enough about what a memorable and well-organised experience this was, and it was also great to meet other like-minded people on the bus - and all just a few minutes drive away from Perth. For those who like their craft beer (like we do), do yourself a favour, and get in touch with Tim!

Fantastic experience: My wife bought tickets for me on my birthday and I had an absolute blast. The tour was fun and informative and the beers on offer were extensive and delicious. Our tour guide, Tim was an absolute hero and easily one of the nicest and relaxed people I’ve ever met.

We visited several carefully selected vinyards with the friendliest staff making us feel welcome and relaxed and got to sample some outstanding products. Fantastic experience: Awesome birthday present! - Highly Recommended tour A great day from start to finish, it was my first time in the Swan Valley Region and we visited three breweries, it ended up being a private tour on that day so we were lucky to have Tim, the tour guide, for ourselves, he knows so much about wines and beers and he is always happy to share all his knowledge about the region as well. He was very attentive at all times and quite flexible with the time frame so we got lots of times to enjoy the beers in every place. Lunch was a very nice burger with chips at Feral Brewing Company and we also got a pint of beer :) Highly recommended tour if you are a beer or wine lover!

Fantastic experience: This is such a wonderful day out! Tim is incredibly knowledgable about the region and extremely professional. Following years of experience in the tourism industry, he started his own company to showcase the best that Perth has to offer - and he is succeeding at doing just that! We did the VIP Wine Tour in the Swan Valley, and not only do you gain access to the best boutique wineries in the region due to the smaller size of Tim’s tour (the other tour companies arrive by coach, meaning they can only access the larger wineries) - but because of his strong relationships with the winemakers you feel like you’re part of a much more intimate experience, like you’re being welcomed into the family! The wines were fantastic and award winning, the lunch was so delicious and served in a beautiful setting, and Tim makes you feel right at home and truly “VIP”! I had such a great time I’ve already booked to go back 3 weeks later with my Mum! Thanks Tim for a lovely day - we can’t wait to book your other tours as you bring them on board!

Fantastic experience: Wanted to try something that was different from the regular run-of-the-mill winery tour and wasn't disappointed. Tim was friendly, knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to ensure we had a good time. Furthermore, because it was a small group and Tim's network, we get to access wineries and met wine makers who are legends in the industry, which a normal and larger tour groups will not have access to. If you want a generic, touristy and shallow wine tours, there are plenty of options out there however if you want a unique and special winery experience, then look up Tim.

Fantastic experience: Superb! I just loved the tour! Tim was our host and he's the nicest man around. We did a wine tasting tour (VIP Swan Valley Wine Tour) and had time to finish it off with a chocolate tasting too. I'll admit we had a cheese platter on top of this all... And don't forget the really tasty lunch, yum! I liked that the group size was small to get a better experience and Tim was actually able to remember all our names! Wow! He had a lot of local knowledge and was able to get us to the wineries alone without other groups being around. It really makes a difference. I want to mention we had access to the premium wines too so I was quite content. The tour wasn't just a tour but Tim managed to help people with his knowledge on other things and knew how to make coffee appear all of a sudden. Fantastic!

Fantastic experience: This is a great trip to take when you are in Perth. Tim is very knowledgeable about the area and knows his wines extremely well. Swan Valley has a large assortment of wineries and Tim takes you to the very best. Small groups, as Tim does, gives you a better insight into how the grapes are grown, the process to make wine and the tasting. This would be the best trip available to learn and taste. Fantastic experience: What a wonderful day out. At the time of writing this review, all of the other reviews of the Best of Perth VIP Wine Tour on Google are five stars. This review is no exception. The business is run by Tim; who was also our guide for the day. There are tours where the guides are people working their way around Australia. That’s not the case here. It’s Tim’s business and he has a passion for wine and the tour which comes across clearly from the moment you book, with communication being seamless and the organisation easy. (While Tim does pick people up at Perth hotels we were in Fremantle, but we met Tim at the Perth train station and getting the train to Perth, and finding Tim, could not have been any easier). In our tour there were six of us (three couples) which was a very comfortable number for the tour; although we could easily have accommodated another four. At the first vineyard, we began with a tour of the wine making facilities. We were taken out into the vineyards and then in the back-door to see the machinery which is used and have the processes explained to us. This was very interesting indeed. We then tasted multiple bottles of wine. Given that this testing is before lunch I was glad that I had eaten a good breakfast before doing the tour. That said, there was cheese with the wine – and my goodness, the cheese was brilliant! Lunch was absolutely top-notch. The food was genuinely gorgeous and the menu was extensive. The menu had many options for those with particular dietary requirements (vegetarian, gluten-free, et cetera) and so I suspect most people would be able to find something they liked. There was, of course, wine-tasting immediately before lunch, and the option to have one of those wines with lunch. In the afternoon we saw two further vineyards, and a chocolate factory. Tim was extraordinarily flexible on his timing. Our group ended up staying longer at some places which we found particularly interesting, or where we were keen to try further wines, and at no point where we herded onto the bus or hurried up. Many years ago, when my wife and I were very, very much younger, we did a large boat cruise wine-tasting on the Swan river. That was fun but was, essentially, a drunken day out. The Best of Perth tour offers no shortage of alcohol, but the focus is very different. You actually get to taste, as opposed to gulp down, wine. You are in a small group and can talk to the vineyard staff. Tim himself is very knowledgeable and the day was a real highlight of our holiday.

Fantastic experience: Having been to Swan Valley several times previously I had never been fully aware of the history of the region and the work that goes into making the wine until experiencing the VIP tour. Tim's knowledge, passion, and personality made for a wonderful experience. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I've been on several wine tours all over the world (California, France, Spain, Australia, Italy) and none of them have come close to the charm, value and personal experience as the VIP Swan Valley tour with Tim. The whole day was perfectly curated by charming tour guide Tim. It began with an on-time pick up, an informative short drive to the Swan Valley. Before the tastings we learned a bit of how wine is actually made with a behind the scenes tour... then the magic began. TASTINGS!! We visited multiple small, boutique and fabulous vineyards. I sampled some world class wines and took home several bottles from each cellar door. I even fell in love with an 80 something year old winemaker who produces 2 varieties of sparking wine. Everything was run smoothly and Tim was great in fostering a report with the small group. This is not a big tour bus tour, it's an intimate experience with the actual wine makers, the other few guests and our host, Tim! This was definitely a day out to remember and if you're looking for a wine tour in the Swan Valley, look no further. Just book it, you won't regret it!!!

Fantastic experience: A VVIP Experience It was an amazing experience. The wine tasted divine, we annihilated the cheese board (because it was so wonderful), and what an awesome way to finish the day with ice cream. Tim knew everything about wine and the history of Perth and he was always keen to explain further when we asked questions. Tim went above and beyond with enthusiasm and thoughtfulness he even helped us plan out the rest of our time at Perth. 100% recommend!!

My best friend and I were looking for a wine tour close to Perth, which involved a smaller group, high quality lunch options and access to the cellar doors of more boutique winemakers. This tour delivers all those things, and more. The wineries we visited offered a variety of experiences, lunch was gourmet in a gorgeous setting and transport comfortable. Tim is the ultimate professional: very knowledgeable about the area and the wineries we visited, but at the same time, down to earth and super friendly. He was flexible in terms of logistics, well prepared with water, a cooler for the wine and bubble wrap to protect the precious cargo we all brought home, and a true gent from start to finish. Fantastic experience: I had an amazing time on my tour around Perth (Kings Park, a wildlife park, wine tasting in Swan Valley and lunch, and the beach). This tour is a great sample platter of everything Perth has to offer. I didn’t have much time to see the city and was so thankful to find the Best of Perth Tours, which offered a personal experience. It was fun to get to know the small group of people in my tour over the day. For everything that is included the value is phenomenal. I originally looked at doing some of these activities on my own but the cost and time (via public transit or Uber) involved would have made it impossible to do in one day. I felt the timing of each activity was just right and I never felt rushed. My guide —Tim— was awesome, considerate, and very knowledgeable. I think my favourite part of the tour is a tossup between meeting the koalas and kangaroos or the lunch and wine tasting. Just a perfect day. I highly recommend to anybody visiting Perth.

Fantastic experience: VIP Wine Tour - and it turned into a VIP experience. We had a fantastic day in the company of Tim and three other guests. Tim prioritizes small groups, which gave the feeling that we were a small family on an outing. At the same time, it allowed us a unique glimpse 'behind the scene' at Olive Farm Wines, where we started the day with a tasting and a light cheese platter. Then we were kind of off to a good start. Olive Farm Wines is the 2nd oldest winery in Australia, just 1 day younger than the oldest, and absolutely a very modern-operated winery, where they have kept up with the times, and where they also play with grape compositions. After that, we headed to the next winery, where we also had a very nice lunch with a menu of our choice. We had the opportunity to see the menu before the wine tasting, as we had to choose a glass of wine to go with the food. After that, we moved on to the next winery, where we tasted some very unique bubbles (which is the only thing they produce at this little place) and then on to the neighbor, who had a fantastic white made from Verdelho - not exactly what one would expect to find in Australia. Last but not least, we visited Pandemonium Wines, which draws inspiration from Spanish wines ... and they also make some fantastic gin. At all places, we had plenty of time, and Tim had ensured that there was both water in the car (we probably didn't drink much of that) and bubble wrap to pack the purchases in, so they could be transported safely. Completely out of the ordinary, we visited WA's oldest pub, 'Rose & Crown' on the way back to the city. An absolutely fantastic day, without any form of stress. We would definitely recommend this tour to others in the area, as Tim is very knowledgeable about both the region's wine and history.

Fantastic experience: First of all, I teach wine and travel the world visiting wineries so I have pretty high expectations for wine tours. Tim Stone, the owner of Best of Perth Tours is a knowledgeable wine guy with credentials to back it up. The wineries we visited each had something different to offer and ranged from very small to large. Tim saw that we got personalized attention at all of them and we had plenty of wines to taste. The cheese plate and lunch were both good. I can't say enough good things about Tim and this tour. Go!!!! You won't be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: We recently spent an amazing day in the Swan Valley with Best of Perth Tours' VIP Swan Valley Wine Tour. Tim is a wonderful, knowledgeable (and entertaining) tour guide and has thought of everything in this tour. Fantastic experience: My husband and I recently spent a long weekend in Perth and the absolute highlight was the day we spent wine tasting in the lovely Swan Valley with Tim’s Best of Perth Tour! Fantastic experience: I went on a tour of the Swan Valley with my brother and a mate and I cannot recommend Tim, our tour guide (and designated driver!), enough. He went above and beyond in every possible way. Any questions we asked about any part of the fermentation process or wine in general, he was able to answer, and when he wasn’t, he went and grabbed the OWNER of the winery to personally answer it for us. Tim is friends with workers and owners all around the wineries so you know you are getting the best of the best. He had a fantastic palate and was able to recommend both fantastic wineries and exquisite wines. I am counting down the days until I can book another tour with Tim and Best of Perth Tours. Do yourself a favour and give him a call.

Fantastic experience: We couldn't recommend the VIP Swan Valley Wine Tour highly enough. Tim is a genuinely lovely person and terrific Tour Guide with a great knowledge of wine and history of the region. He went out of his way to make sure we had the absolute best day possible and the wineries he took us to were all unique, explaining the history of each venue and the reason why he had chosen to take us there. The cheeseboard morning tea was divine and our lunch was an absolute feature with my husband and I enjoying our meals whilst overlooking the gorgeous winery surrounds. Fantastic experience: Did the swan valley tour. Lived up to it's name. Caters for the higher end of the wine market and for those interested in an educational approach to wine making and the history of the swan valley. Wineries' staff were genuinely excited to see our tour guide and enjoyed show-caseing some of their premium and reserve range of wines to us in a private setting. Reccomended for wine connoisseurs or for those who are after the best the swan valley has to offer.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic tour! We got to experience a behind the scenes look at the wine making process which was something we had never done before. Very interesting. As well as enjoying some of the best food and wine Perth has to offer. Our guide was so great and very knowledgeable. My husband and I loved the whole day and we highly recommend this tour!

Fantastic experience: One of the best tours I have ever been on. Myself and my friend Bec decided to do a winery tour last minute. It ended up only being the two of us and it was fantastic! Tim was such an awesome tour guide and even acted as our own personal photographer, what more can I ask for! The day was an absolute success, from tours through the wineries, to cheese platters, to a gourmet lunch to photos through the vineyards.. there was nothing I could fault. We were treated like VIP guests at each winery and were made to feel important and special. I highly recommend booking through Best of Perth Tours rather than the big group coaches.
