Fantastic experience: Dont look any further, just book the 2D/1N Great Ocean Tour with Around and About! The tour starts very early, so you arrive before the big tour busses. Walter is not only a good guy, but also a great guide. This tour includes amazing views of the GOR and the rock formations, visits to waterfalls and the rainforest. It is a small group, so you will get to know each other quickly. If you don’t feel like sharing a dorm, just upgrade into a private room. Thank you Walter!

Nice small group and van, nice stops, and enough time to admire the animals, get food, chill out or stroll around:) it is very chilly at the penguins parade, make sure to pack a windbreaker or puffer Jacket, even when it is warm during the day!

Fantastic experience: Booked a 4-day custom tour with Around and About and couldn't recommend enough! Walter was so accommodating, fun, and a joy to be around. We had a group of wildlife photographers and Walter was never fussed when we took a bit longer at a stop or if we decided to make changes to the intended route. He was very punctual, knew a lot about the surrounding areas of Melbourne and was always happy to help. His vehicle is spacious, comfortable and always very tidy. An absolutely incredible experience - 10/10!

Walter had great commentary and showed us some really awesome eco-tourism spots. This tour does have a lot of walking but the views are so worth it. Fantastic experience: I went on the 2D1N Great Ocean Road tour with Walter. He was a great guide - picked us up from our accommodation, took us to all the best viewing points along the track, allowed us to go on some lovely trails and gave us the opportunity to opt in for some unique experiences (Wildlife Wonders dusk tour and a heli ride). I would highly recommend him if you're looking for a quick trip that covers all the best bits of the Great Ocean Road!

Fantastic experience: I did the great ocean road reverse itinerary trip with Walter on new years, and loved it so much. The day starts early but Walter is cheery and drives very well to the last stop on the GOR. He factors in bathroom, coffee and breakfast breaks. From there on, we travel back to numerous beautiful lookouts and stops. He is well organised by giving us set times to go explore and return, so we can keep to a good timing. Because of the reverse itinerary, we beat all the crowds and traffic, that we saw going back to melbourne. My favourite spot was Lorne beach where I had a brief swim in the beautiful waters under the sun. Overall I had an amazing experience with Walter and appreciate his kindly and patient manner and excellent planning.

Fantastic experience: Penguin Parade at Phillip Island is a well organized trip by 'Around and About'. Walter was the friendly guide for the trip and gave the best information which made our trip memorable.

Fantastic experience: Walter was our driver to and from a music festival over the weekend (drop off Friday and pick up Monday, 4 hours one way from Vic to NSW!) and was so extremely gracious, kind, and just a genuinely great person! Walter arrived early both ways and was more than accommodating whether it was waiting for us to get ready, taking us for restroom/food stops, or even just having a chat. Walter helped us with loading and unloading the bus and also asked event holders if he could drive closer to our campsite to make the pack up easier. I honestly can’t recommend this company highly enough, a really great experience and we’ll definitely continue to contact Walter directly for future trips. Thank you for making our weekend travels such a breeze and a really positive experience! :)

Positive experience: Did the 2D1N Great Ocean Road tour with Walter. The views were great. Accommodation at YHA was clean and decent. Walter tried to ensure we saw as many spots along the GOC as possible and provided some commentary in the van. However, he usually drops us off at these spots and do not accompany us on these walks so if we had questions at these sites, we had to rely on informational signs. After being on various other tours in Melbourne, we found the guides from other companies were better in terms of sharing of information and engaging with us. Please do note that other reviews spoke highly of Walter. Perhaps we caught him at a bad time. He also dropped us off in such a rushed and haphazard manner when we were back in the city (other guides from other companies didn’t). Nonetheless, if you’re looking to hit all the spots on the GOR, this is a tour you can consider.

Positive experience: Walter met our basic needs and gave some basic information during the drive. He managed to time the tour nicely as there were hardly any tourists when we were at the attractions. However, the tour was a mad rush as there were too many spots to go to. We had limited time at each spot . They need to curate their itinerary better. There was no personal touch either. Walter dropped us off n let us wander off on our own so he wasn’t on site to answer any questions or point out interesting sights. He came across as uninterested. If you’re looking for just a driver, then this tour is fine.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to do a complete Great Ocean Road trip without skipping any attractions and I got nothing less. Walter, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and helped us have a great time giving us plenty of time to enjoy and keep us on schedule. He was always courteous. We even made a few stops that wasn't on the official itinerary. The van was comfortable and drive was smooth. The YHA accomodation was decent for a night stay. Recommend to anyone who wants Great Ocean Road checked off the list without regrets.

Fantastic experience: Increadible two days on on the Great Ocean Road! The most important fact about this tour is that the 12 Apostles are not The destination but just another stopover amongst all the beautiful places you get to see during this two unforgottable days. Actually, the lesser visited places are prettier, so the further you get from the crowd the more you feel the real athmosphare. Highly recommended!
