Fantastic experience: I recently spent an amazing 6 weeks in Italy as a solo traveller which I couldn’t have done without help from Jay Harrison at EWT in planning and booking my trip. This was a special trip for me and from my first conversation with Jay he understood the significance of it. Jay listened to my ideas, respectfully offered suggestions and together we came up with an itinerary that was perfect for me. Jay is very approachable and I appreciate his ‘nothing is too much trouble / that’s what I’m here for’ attitude as well as his attention to detail. Jay’s encouragement, support and enthusiasm was genuine and meant so much. I am very grateful he was there to walk that part of my journey with me.

Negative experience: Tone deaf. Asked for an in-person appointment at Clifton Hill, given a time but then told, you must call before you come in. Asked again politely (in an email outside business hours when I could respond, when I also saw six missed calls in a few hours from EWT), even if it is only a 5-10 minute introduction can we (two of us planning the trip) come in to have an initial impression in-person. Response was argumentative, that it had to be a phone call first and that they rely on phone calls throughout the planning. This was all the while with Jay giving immediate responses like he has time to fill in the day and is not busy. Asked if Elizabeth was available, she emailed me to say she kept trying to call me and couldn’t get through (in business hours when I am working and can’t answer my phone). Then when she finally understood why we wanted to meet face-to-face she sent a so sorry and good luck, goodbye message. No offer of service, talked about a team of 12 but gave no recommendations of who else we might work with other than Jay. Did nothing to smooth things over. Zero service offered the whole time. We still don’t understand what they could have done or how they could have helped us plan our international trip. If they are this inflexible about a simple meet and greet, how would a customer have any confidence of being given true choice when it comes to the trip, or of their ability to handle complex requests for it? Why would a potential customer have any confidence to engage your services for a significant once-in-a-lifetime holiday? The other reviews here led me to contact EWT first before any other business, I can’t share the positivity because literally and figuratively, we couldn’t even get in the door to meet them.

Fantastic experience: After looking for a good travel agent for some time, we have found Krissie at Emma Whiting Travel. Our business is based in Sydney but we will continue to use the team at EWT even though they are in Melbourne. Our experience was easy and seamless and they also sourced great fares for us. However, the most important thing for us is that the booking experience was easy and stress free.

Fantastic experience: Excellent! Thorough, committed and detailed - not to mention friendly and down to earth. When I was in the UK earlier in the year I broke my foot and ankle. I cannot thank them enough for all the work they did in getting me home. Awesome.

Fantastic experience: I am very grateful to have Cath McDiarmid from EWT to help me with my recent trip to Europe. She went above and beyond to make sure my trip was as smooth as possible. I was tested COVID positive towards the end of my trip and had to change my plans. Isolation is still mandatory in Italy as of Oct 2022. Cath rang to check on me multiple times and acted quickly to cancel my tours and re-issued my flight tickets. She also provided a lot of support in claiming my travel insurance. Thanks Cath! You are a legend! :)

Recently, Jedda has organised a trip to the Barrier Reef for me in March 2020 and my first trip to Ireland in June 2020. Wonderfully professional and well organised. Fantastic experience: We experienced a fabulous six weeks in South America organised through Emma Whiting Travel through Chile, Argentina and Uruguay and then to Ushuaia to start our 19 day cruise to the Falkland islands, South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula with Oceanwide Expeditions. The wildlife of penguins, seals, birds and whales was fantastic - hundreds of thousands of breeding pairs of King and other varieties of Penguins on the beach as you step onto land from the zodiac boat. The sheer size of icebergs floating past and the lack of sighting of any land or vessels for days as you travel to the End of the World. An absolutely amazing 'bucket list' adventure. Fantastic experience: It's when your trip runs into travel that a) you know why you need a travel agent and b) you need a good one! We had some issues where we had to make major changes to a recent business trip. Chelsea Hutchinson from Emma Whiting has been an amazing support on resolving it, working tirelessly and full of great ideas to help us get the best solution. We can't recommend Chelsea too highly..

Fantastic experience: I have never had such a positive experience with a travel agent before. Ellen was amazing. She actually listened to what we wanted & there was no pressure to book anything straight away; she took the time to make adjustments to make sure we were creating something that we were entirely happy with before booking even if this meant emails and phone calls back and forth. In fact, it was almost like talking to a friend. I highly recommend this travel agent!

Negative experience: Bad experience as I was treated as being ingenuine with my enquiries, simply because I was hesitant jumping into a booking.
