Negative experience: I highly advise against using this service. I have been trying to get a refund since November last year, but as of today in July, there has been no resolution whatsoever. During the process, they charged me an $80 admin fee, claiming I needed to pay it. Moreover, my bank account was closed, and I repeatedly requested a change of bank account, but the responses I received were unsatisfactory. Their reply stated: "After further checking your reservation ABY15450898, we can confirm that your booking was automatically canceled as the credit card has been declined and has not been resolved within the required time. If payment was already deducted from your bank account, please call your issuing bank for further assistance." The way they handled the situation is extremely unprofessional. When I called them, their accent made me feel discriminated against, and the overall process and procedures have been highly unacceptable. I strongly urge others not to use their service based on my experience. This review is meant to serve as a warning for others to avoid this company.

Negative experience: Save yourself alot of stress and grief and book direct. I would rate them 0 if I could. The worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. Unprofessional and pathological liars. I called 8 times to try resolve an issue regarding a missing ticket/ booking reference for a flight connection from LA to YYZ in a series of flights. Each time I was assured it was being sorted out and would be sent the information I needed within a few days, 24 hours, 2 days, 5 days. Different time frame each time I called. I can see the flight is still there but they keep telling me I need to reschedule because it has been cancelled. Reschedule at my own cost, not theirs, and no refund for the missing ticket either. There is now only a few days until I fly out and still has not been resolved, despite the fact that I have been working with them on this for the last 3 weeks to get it fixed. Looking like I will be out of pocket about 700$ or more, and when asked if I could refund just that one part I was told it was not possible.

Negative experience: Don't book with these scammers. Book with them you'll just get a booking number not an actual booking number reservation with the airline. Cancel your flight on the day you travel. I paid extra big mistake which covers me for any price hikes. Never got the full refund. Plus COVID cover is a joke. Someone needs to take them to court.

Negative experience: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY would give 0 stars if possible Booked flights with them and have screenshots of confirmation for the flights friday to friday. The itenrary comes 24hrs later with flights Friday to Saturday. Sent them the screenshots and they said their system was correct and it was human error on my end. Regardless of what I said and showed them this was the broken record responce I recieved. Had sent the screenshots to multiple people to let them know I had booked for our holiday only to get letdown 24hrs later. Asked how much it would be to change back from saturday to friday and they quoted me $2800. My original return flights were only $2000 total. Went online and could buy new flights for the friday for $1000. Absolute piracy Shop elsewhere

Negative experience: Customer service is worst. I I didn't receive ticket confirmation because I accidentally added the wrong email address. I booked the ticket on behalf of my husband. I called them straight away to correct my the email address. My husband asked the consultant to speak to me ( my husband has limienglish). Consultant is asking for an email from him for the authorisation to speak to me. Why can't to talk to me on the phone while he is giving you authorisation to speak to me right there on the phone and then this consultant also responded rudely. Anyways I had to guide my husband by writing on paper so he can ask to correct his email address. They made a simple task so hard.

Negative experience: Worst company. Lodged cancellation online and called to see if we could get refund due to one of my family member passing. The rep said it will be an account credit. We asked if there's any ways to get refund, the rep said if we send the medical letter, we might be able to, which then they will call us in 2-3 days. So we sent the medical letter to the provided email, no response no call back. We called again to ask if there's any update, they said it won't be refundable. We asked for account credit, they said they can't give the account credit neither because it has passed the date even if we lodged the cancellation 3 days prior to the travel date. They are saying it's our fault that we've not followed up when they told us to wait. STUPID.

I had to seek cancellation of tickets due to an injury and the doctor recommended I do not fly, I rang the airline first, they said there was no cancellation cost, but I had to do the cancellation through BYO Jet. I then contacted BYO jet and they said the airline charges a $1000 cancellation fee. (This was one month prior to flying)

Negative experience: Please save yourself and buy the tickets elsewhere. I bought tickets from them for an overseas trip and later found that a schedule change by the airline made it not feasible to transfer to the connecting flight in time, which is frankly, not BYOjet's fault. What is their fault is that when I reached out as suggested they claimed to have changed by flight to a flight that worked, only to cancel this new flight and the original without my consent, which I found out at check-in. When I called BYOjet they said that it's not their problem and I'm on my own. Oh and the refund will, according to them, take 13 weeks to process. Throughout this entire process, their staff has been completely unprofessional, arrogant, unhelpful, and aggressive.

Negative experience: This company shouldn't be allowed to exist. Literally feels like a scam. We booked our flights in August and the night before when making a call to reserve seats we got to know the flight was cancelled. They then proceeded to say no flights available for the next month. When we called the airlines they said they had notified byo MONTHS in advance but we found out night before when there were no flights available, and reading the reviews I can see this company deserves all the bad karma it can get. I hope they shut down soon so less people are scammed..

Negative experience: DO NOT BUY from Aunt betty or you’ll REGRET. I purchased a bunch of tickets ($3750) from Aunt betty back in July but due to few issues, I had to re-rout my tickets. Emirates advised it’s a normal change and can be made through the agent. Called AB but they refused to do so and advised the only option is to cancel and buy tickets again with $450 deductions. I decided to cancel and asked for a refund. Guess what? They still make excuses due to COVID-19 and advise their refund process will take up to 12 weeks or more while Emirates was confirming the refund was already returned to AB!!!! I called more than 20 times on daily basis and spoke to every single agent who could barely speak English. They are trained to repeat their instructions like a parrot no matter what you say or ask!!!! there is no escalation process and you cannot talk with their managers. I was lied multiple times for every single information they provided. The agent who cancelled my tickets forgot to submit for the refund request to Emirates and I only found out when I personally called Emirates after 2 weeks. I called AB and someone at AB reluctantly admitted that the refund was not requested!!!! Then after 6 weeks of calling, they said the refund was processed. I asked them to send me the refund confirmation and transaction details in writing but they refused to assist and repeatedly told me to follow up from my bank with no transaction details. THEY ARE DODGY, BUNCH OF LIARS AND A SCAMMERS WHO MADE AND RUN BY FLIGHT CENTRE. Go and buy your tickets directly from the airline even if they are 5-10% more expensive. Emirates cancellation fee is $200 and AB charged me $250 administration fee on top of that. I finally got $3300 ( out of $3750) back from them after 6 weeks of calling everyday. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DO NOT DO THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. I really don’t know how they can even operate in Australia with such horrible service and malicious activities. There is no physical store and the only way you can communicate to them is talking with some poorly trained customer service people. I was prepared to spend more money to take them to court and I will do anything until they are out of business. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Negative experience: The worst experience I've had booking flights online. Do not do it. Flights "changed" multiple times, landed up getting the final flights and itinerary only 12 hours before departure which is insane for international travel. Customer service are unwilling to help at every step of the way. Please do not book through these guys it is a nightmare.

Negative experience: Hi, I booked flight with Singapore airlines for my family (return ticket from (Sydney to Bangalore 24th December). I was told by Singapore airlines that my flight from Sydney to Singapore section is changed from SQ8517 to SQ8669 (same date, same time). We want to desperately go to India. Singapore airlines says that they have not received a request from Byojet. If they receive a request they are happy to put me on the alternative flight. I don't know what is the issue here. We booked this ticket 2 months in advance and booked my mothers surgery based on this itinerary. Vivek

Our flight has been changed and we has been informed the night before our departure, so we called from overseas, 3 times and waited for 45 minutes, then the customer service (!) Guy, start just making excuses and repeat unhelpful phrases and after half an hour argument we asked to talk to the supervisor and he start to talk like bad line and cut the line off! It was the worse experience I've ever had with any services I've ever had!

Negative experience: Don't book with these. Booked a flight in March for October travel. The name on the booking had a typo which I asked them to fix in July. They finally acted on this in September after I'd already paid for the name change fee they requested. Instead of changing the name they said they had to cancel the ticket and rebook (1 week out) at which point there were no other flights available and suggested I push back a week where tickets were still 4x the price of what I originally paid...they were expecting me to pay the difference!

Negative experience: One of the worst WORST absolute worst travel booking agency in Melbourne. Please save your money or better yet cancel your trip if you’re thinking of booking it with these guys. It took us 2 years to use our credit note and not a single staff from byojet was able to help us rebook our tickets. Not only that they also asked us to pay a difference in airfares to the same destination with the same airline and a processing fee on top of what we paid. After about 20th attempt to speak to someone we gave up and called the Malaysian airline who not only booked the tickets for us but without paying a single cent for the new booking. Please don’t go through what we had gone through. Help anyone who is thinking of booking with these people by getting them to STOP!!

Negative experience: I booked a flight home to Canada from Melbourne over the Christmas period. Understandably, flights during this period are not inexpensive. I booked my flight in mid-July, and almost immediately was emailed (less than 24 hours later) that my itinerary had changed. The change to my itinerary made my flight to Canada miss a connection in LAX. I called them the next day and was told that they would look into fixing the issue. I was emailed a few days later with another update, and this time was missing two connections throughout the duration of my trip. My itinerary was changed an additional 3 times, but still did not resolve the issues. Then, a few weeks later, I was emailed stating that my flights had been refunded - I did not request a refund, I was not provided with any information as to why the refund was processed, and had to re-book my flights (Obviously I was not willing to do this through BYO Jet), and ended up paying even higher prices due to the fact that I was no longer booking them 6 months in advance. I will be contacting BYO Jet for an explanation, but have never been this dissatisfied with service from any company I have ever dealt with. Do not book through BYO Jet. It is an absolute scam and not worth the stress or time.

Negative experience: This is the worst travel agency ever, don't buy tickets with them. They gave us misleading information about our return flight, so we end up with double return tickets. Their mistake cost us $5500 and they didn't even apologise for that. They informed me 12 hours before our return flight that our flight is cancelled (it was just rescheduled). Horrible experience!!!

Negative experience: I recently booked a multi city trip with Skyscanner and one of their parter agents named BYOJet. The flights were supposed to be SYD-BAQ and return BOG-SYD. BYOJet booked the return flight As BOG-LAX. Blamed their incompetence on me advising that it was my error. BYOJet offered no support or any solution. Nor has Skycanner for recommending them. Both are as dodgey as the other and BYOJet is not just dodgey but simply incompetent at making a simple booking. It will now cost me additional $2000 to fix their error when the original flights were only supposed to cost $2600 total. Time to go through old school travel agents. DO NOT USE BYOJET!!!!

Negative experience: Do NOT book with this organisation. Their flight credit is an absolute joke as they will then charge you triple the actual cost of the fare if you attempt to redeem it. I had a credit note of $350 and yet to book a return flight from Cairns to Sydney they were going to charge me $900. I ended up booking directly with Virgin & paid $325.

Never book your ticket through this agent or you will ended up missing your flight. The first guy that picked up my phone hang up my phone and did not take any responsibility. Especially the guy BRADLEY SALMON, VIRGIE and the team, worst of the worst. When we called them, they changed story for 3x; first they said my second flight is cancelled, then they said the first flight is cancelled. Now they said I just need to go to the airport. Negative experience: Deliberately confusing, obtuse, and timewasting. My theory is that they made customer service as horrific as possible to avoid having to pay back any of the money lost from COVID. Negative experience: I give this bunch 0 stars out of 5, not the 1 star you see. I'm disappointed that Google don't offer negative stars because this is what BYOJet deserve. We bought 3 tickets from Australia to France in 2019, just before COVID hit and the entire process has been one of the most painful customer service experiences I have ever had. In my honest opinion the customer service people should be removed and replaced with AI bots because believe me even they would do a better job of providing a better level of service than the people at BYOJet and another bonus would be that the AI bots could be pre-loaded with an English language module, if you know what I mean? The final nail in the miserable coffin of experience for us came this morning, when we approached Virgin Australia with the e-tickets BYOJet provided us with last week, when finally allowing us to move our credits from BYOJet to the Virgin Travel bank after almost 3 years. As it turned out BYOJet provided us with 2 out of 3 correct ticket references and then 3 other random ticket references, which didn't include mine, leading Virgin to say they couldn't find my booking. Honestly, it should be obvious to a pre-school student that when there are 3 people travelling there should only be 3 ticket references but no, BYOJet send 5 separate references of which none were mine, This typifies the degree of bad service that BYOJet provides. A simple act of validating ticket references was a bridge too far for them. It was like the teenage kid at McDonald's preparing your burger as if they had severe vertigo and all the ingredients end up on side of the burger, with one third hanging out. I'd actually rate the McDonald's service higher than BYOJet to be honest because at least I still got what I ordered. Avoid BYOJet. Go direct through the airline. It's a false economy.

Negative experience: Booked through them prior to covid, issued us with credit after the flights got cancelled, now that we have gone to use the credit, the credit has apparently been cancelled. ABSOLUTE SCAM

Negative experience: This company is a joke. They will take your money, and not provide services. Worse is when you try and call - they will spam you robotic answers, and now no longer accepting calls or emails. If you try call, they will shut the phone down in your face without any reason. This is borderline theft!

Negative experience: If there are only 0 stars!! Terrible service. DO NOT BOOK via BYOJET if you are after certainity for your travel plans. Wont take any responsibility even if the travel is changed due to airlines cancelling flights multiple times. Malaysian airlines cancelled flight twice- 1st time cancellation lead to us paying extra fair difference to book for 2nd time. 2nd time it got cancelled; Malaysian airlines wont deal with us as we booked via BYOJet BYOjet wont help us - the only option is to bet again on Malaysian which they say they cant gaurantee will take off or not and ask for some more money as fair difference. My parents wait for 6 months, on the verge of losing career in 60 . We ask them refund - its a NO we ask them transferable voucher so that we can sell it and use that money for alternative travel plan - its a NO we user for voucher with different destinations and longer validity so that they can use it after an year or so if things are favourable again after an year or so - answer is a NO How is this helpful? Its not us cancelled the flight. For an airline to cancel the flight and getaway with not giving any option but to wait, that too in a country like Australia- i think is a combined plan of BYOJet and Malaysian airlines. You guys made it so difficult. No Thanks , no business from us ever again.

Negative experience: Had 2 BA flights booked from Melbourne to London during covid. BA then cancelled the flights. 1 ticket has been refunded and BA now telling me that the other is not refundable. I speak to BA, they tell me to go through BYOjet. Terrible service given the situation. Airline cancels flight and won't offer a refund on 1 ticket but does so on the other. Won't use them again!

Negative experience: So during the COVID pandemic my flights were cancelled. Emirates sent me an email 4 weeks before my flight letting me know. I called BYOjet to get my money back but they wouldn't even talk to me (or reply to my email) because my flight wasn't within 24 hours. I called back on the day of my flight, was on hold for 4 hours (this is in April so well into the pandemic and they still couldn't get there act together). I was told I will get my refund within 12 weeks (ofcourse they deduct $250 "processing fee" which i wasn't happy about but by this time I never wanted to deal with BYOjet again) July 9th I call by now its 12 weeks I still don't have my refund. The lady was apologetic but said she will follow up with Emirates and call me within 24 hours. 22nd July still no call back. I call BYOjet again and again I am told they will get back to me within 2-3 business days. I am still waiting on my money, my next step will be to dispute the transaction through my bank. BYOjet is very unprofessional and I will NEVER book with them again no matter how cheap they are.

Negative experience: The worst Company in Australia!!! During the pandemic, they sent me an email to see if i wanted to 1. re issue/re book 2. Shell Credit 3. Cancel/ refund. I selected cancel/refund and now they wont give me a refund and only a credit note which I have to use in a year.Furthermore, I called 100 times in March to discuss my options about getting my money back ($6400) and they switched their phone lines off and emails ( they turned off their emails, and even advertised that on their web page). This is just a front for a shell company. The worst company in Australia!!! Negative 5 stars if the system would allow a negative rating

Negative experience: Hands down the worst customer service I have ever had - instead of increasing capacity of cal centre to deal with Covid-19 queries, they hang up on you when you call unless you're travelling within the next 24 hours

Negative experience: Everyone needs to know that this company is owned by the Flight Centre! The Flight Centre is providing this atrocious service! Impossible to contact. Cathay have cancelled my flight but impossible to contact byojet. This is unacceptable. I have been on the phone for 24 hours. Got through to what seems like the Philippines twice only to be cut off both times. According to an internet search, byojet is owned by Flight Centre. Do people know that the Flight Centre is indirectly providing such horrible service? Can we call the Flight Centre and have our problems solved?
