Fantastic experience: Peru October 2024. We had never used a tour company when holidaying before, so we were unsure what to expect. We selected Eclipse based on their itinerary at a reasonable price. They more than exceeded our expectations and we are now looking at our next holiday location based on other options that Eclipse offer. Fantastic experience: My husband and I just returned from 7 incredible weeks in South America. It was the best trip we have ever done, and we can not wait to go back!! We have previously always organised our own overseas travel, but South America was unfamiliar and the distance covered logistically more difficult, so we decided to get some assistance. Fantastic experience: Luke G looked after everything from end to end on my trip to Costa Rica. He asked the right questions and booked a holiday that was absolutely perfect. Right mix of relaxation and seeing cool things / going on cool tours. I saw more local wildlife than I could have imagined and have about a thousand photos and videos from just 8 days. Got close to monkeys, sloths, hummingbirds and the most beautiful colorful insects you couldn’t even imagine existed. Highly recommend this company. They know their stuff and make everything really easy.

Fantastic experience: Our group of 4 adults travelled throughout Central America for 8 weeks after many discussions with Luke. OMG does Luke know his stuff! His pre-trip advice was absolutely invaluable ensuring we visited the most remarkable cultural and historical sites in an efficient and comfortable manner. We cannot wait to go back to Central and South America and without a shadow of doubt we will be calling on Luke for everything. Not only did Luke create a brilliant itinerary for us, but when I was refused entry into Panama at the remote river crossing at Sixaola he really stepped up to the plate! My companions continued into Panama whilst I was marched back to Costa Rica and even with enormous communication difficulties, Luke and Matt remained available to assist me 24/7. Two weeks later with a new Australian Passport in my hand Luke moved flights around so I could join my friends and continue our adventure. My sincere thanks to Luke and Matt for making our trip truly special.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I booked a trip to Bolivia, Argentina and Antarctica through Eclipse Travel. We had booked the trip in mid 2022 with the intention to travel in Dec 2023. Matt M from Eclipse was the primary person who made most of the arrangement and when he was away, others from the agency very competently covered for him. My experience dealing with Eclipse had been superb. They were always very professional, patient, kept to their promises and efficient in the way they went about making all the tour arrangement from flights to accommodation. Two weeks prior to my departure, I had a medical episode requiring an operation. Quite a disappointment having looked forward going to Antarctica for almost two years. This meant I had to cancel my entire trip. Matt promptly did that for me. Post my operation, as I had a speedy recovery, I instructed Eclipse Travel to reinstate the Antarctica part of my trip. They managed to rebook the flights, cruise and accommodation within three days of me instructing them to rebook as the cruise was scheduled to sail within seven days of me deciding to embark on this once in a lifetime trip to Antarctica. What a feat Eclipse and I was able to make it to Argentina and Antarctica for the trip. When I got back from the trip, Matt M from Eclipse Travel further assisted me to claim the cancelled part of my trip from my travel insurance. I would definitely recommend Matt M & Eclipse Travel if you intend travelling to those unique and special places around the world. They will be able to provide good advice and help you make the travel arrangements hassle free especially when things do not go to plan. I will definitely be using Matt & Eclipse Travel when I am ready to embark on my next adventure holiday. Thank you Eclipse Travel for the really really memorable trip !!!

Positive experience: 21 day trip to Antartica with Ponant. Fantastic trip . There were so many positives about it ; the Naturalists were spectacular, the trouble the crew took to make sure were had a great experience ., the ship ( the lounge sets were very uncomfortable). my only whinge was that the food was a bit boring and the bread was consistently awful ( always a bit stale as if frozen and thawed ) apart from that it was a spectacular trip and I would go again in a heartbeat .

South America has been a continent I have wanted to visit for a long time but whilst being an experienced traveller I was somewhat uncertain about how to ensure a safe, comprehensive and engaging visit. Fantastic experience: We used Matt from Escape Travel to book our trip to South Africa which included Capetown, Johannesberg, and Hoedspruit. Found him great to deal with and he put together a great holiday for us. The highlight was the safari at Moditlo Lodge. Whilst we were in South Africa we ran into problems when our hotel took us to the wrong airport. Had to contact Matt who was on also overseas at the time but told me what to do and who to contact and Escape Travel sorted out the necessary amendments for us. Would have no hesitation recommend Matt and the team for anyone looking to travel and will be using them again in the future.

Fantastic experience: Luke at Eclipse Travel has created a 7 week itinerary for our group of 4 to tour Central America in October. I feel compelled to write this review before we travel as Luke has been exceptional in every aspect. His local knowledge is extraordinary and his enthusiasm to visit this region inspiring. Absolutely nothing has been too much trouble. Our questions and emails have been answered in a timely and efficient manner. He is incredibly patient and polite. We are looking forward to our trip which I am confident will be a huge success thanks to Luke.

Fantastic experience: The itinerary put together by Luke was perfect for us. We had an excellent mixture of locations between Johanesberg, Zambezi National Park, Chobe, Okavago Delta, Cape Town and Makalali Game Reserve. All the accommodation was wonderful. Each camp or lodge was unique but all had friendly staff, beautiful food and the game drives/boat rides exceeded our expectations. A special mention goes to Illios, the company which provided our transfers and private tours. Their drivers/guides were always on time, lovely people and we always felt safe with them. We would highly recommend Eclipse.

Fantastic experience: My son and I took a cruise ship to Antarctica. The trip was postponed due to the pandemic. During our long wait, I had a lot of questions for Matt and he was always responsive.

Negative experience: Together with a married couple next door, my wife and I booked an Antarctica cruise in 2019 with Eclipse travel. The trip was scheduled for January 2020. When Covid hit, we could not travel to South America and the cruise proceeding was very doubtful. We contacted Eclipse and asked for a refund of our deposit. They said no but that we could do a cruise the following year. As the pandemic worsened, we doubted that this even trip would go ahead. We were afraid that Eclipse would go under and we'd loose all our deposit. We checked the terms and conditions and they clearly said that if the trip was cancelled due to natural disasters, which Covid legally was, we would be a full refund. Eclipse did not agree with this and withheld almost $4,000 of our deposit, saying that they had to do administrative work organising our trip, and this money was for that! Our neighbors were also told that Eclipse would withhold almost $4,000 of their deposit. Travel insurance at that stage did not cover Covid so we are still significantly out of pocket. Eclipse has been very difficult to deal with and we would certainly never use them again. I am writing this to warn others about getting in plain English, from any travel agent, under what circumstances they would refund deposits if trips don't go ahead. Eclipse seem to have their own interpretation of legal documents and we are extremely disappointed and upset.

Fantastic experience: We arranged a trip to Africa with Eclipse Travel and asked them to follow our itinerary of locations and timing. Luke put together a perfect trip covering everything we wanted to see including all flights, airport shuttles and game park transfers. It went like clockwork for the whole trip through 3 countries, we weren't waiting for anyone at any time. All choices of accommodation and safari's were excellent and met our expectations. Eclipse Travel give you confidence in your trip because all documentation is kept in your own travel file online, which can be accessed at any time when travelling. Of course you can print them all out like I did if you don't trust online copies. Overall our trip went perfectly and we cannot thank Luke at Eclipse Travel enough for arranging everything for us like he did. I would certainly recommend Eclipse Travel if you are considering an overseas trip.

Fantastic experience: Eclipse Travel put together an amazing trip in Egypt for my husband and I. They did a fantastic job from putting together the itinerary right through to organising absolutely everything to perfection, and their contacts in-country were marvelous. The entire trip was dotted with highlights, including the multi-day trip on the Nile on a dahabeya, and is going to be very hard to top.

Fantastic experience: I have just completed a month-long trip to South America which included Chile, Bolivia, Argentina, and Brazil. My group of three included my wife and her mother, 83 years of age. Discussing that the Bolivian component which was going to include high altitude and remote travel I was reassured of the insights and the rich rewards of such travel. Bolivia turned out to be a highlight of the journey, which included many. I also need to compliment Eclipse Travel for their pre-trip documentation, their interactive trip web site all of which was put together at short notice. We were also supplied vital destination information including how to get access to a visa for Chile for Australian passport travellers. On reflection the start of the communication with Eclipse Travel to the end has been most enjoyable - such interactions when travelling are often filled with angst and unending questions and difficulties. The companies Eclipse Travel work with on the ground in South America were first class. We skipped queues, were overwhelmed with our guides hospitality in all four countries and returned home with great memories.

Fantastic experience: We recently toured South America (incl Galapagos, Amazon) and an Expedition Cruise in Antarctica organized through Shae at Eclipse Travel. Everything ran very smoothly including when Peru was cancelled at the last minute. Shae suggested an alternate itinerary incl Mashpi Cloud Forest and Avenue of the Volcanoes in Ecuador which was amazing. Eclipse showed their best in always being responsive incl getting a lot of our money back quickly from the Peru cancellation. We will be happy to use them again next time and recommend them very highly.

Fantastic experience: Matt of Eclipse organised the most amazing Patagonia Lakes trip for us. After our magical trip to Antarctica for 10 days we thought it couldn't get any better but we were wrong! We flew from Ushuaia into El Calafate on Lake Argentino with a day trip to the Perito Moreno glacier - after seeing so many glaciers in Antarctica thought not another one, but wow! we were gobsmacked - spectacular! From there we flew to Bariloche on Nahuel Huapi Lake - more amazing spectacular views of lakes and snow-topped mountains, German/ Norwegian influenced towns. Our next amazing adventure was a 10-hour trip by 3 catamarans and 3 buses across 3 beautiful lakes, mountains and through uninhabited national parks from Argentina to Chile with outpost border crossings in the middle! From Puerto Varas we then did an 8km return hike through the beautiful Alerce Andino national park near Puerto Montt to a 2500 year old tree before flying back to Santiago. All the hotels were excellent overlooking lakes and our guides were all terrific, very personable and everything went without a hitch. Having travelled with Eclipse before through South America and Galapagos they always come up with amazing, different, varied itineraries to suit your likes and everything goes without a hitch, can't recommend them highly enough!

Fantastic experience: Eclipse Travel put together a fabulous trip for our group of 4 women travelling to the remote area of Patagonia in Chile and Argentina. Our group was not familiar with the area and not very well travelled internationally, so we didn't know what to expect, and Eclipse arranged the most seamless, easy, fool-proof and breathtaking 2 weeks of travel for us. Every site we visited was amazing, and every transfer at airports to hotels was timely, professional, and safe. We didn't have to think about anything but having fun. We were even asked by another group on a cruise who our travel agency was because they were impressed we were able to travel without a guide and appeared to be having such an easy and fun time - so we recommended Eclipse Travel to them for their future travels. Fantastic experience: These guys are top shelf. They actually pulled off an eclipse trip to S. America in the middle of covid-19. We got special permission to go from the Argentinian government. They followed all covid-19 protocols. If they can do that, they can do anything. Would not hesitate to book with them again. Absolutely fabulous. We were taken care of the moment we signed up until well after the trip (with follow up questions and photos!)

Fantastic experience: Just back from tailor made trips to South America and Mexico. This is the second time that Lara has put together 2 fantastic itineraries. The local operators used in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Mexico were brilliant. The guides, transport, hotels, tours were all excellent. Eclipse gives you support both from Australia but the local operators are just a WhatsApp message away - always responding very quickly. There was always someone to meet us - either off a flight, bus or train. Every hotel was expecting us. Every pick up was on time. Very reassuring when travelling independently in Mexico and South America. We always felt safe. We will definitely be using Lara at Eclipse again - we loved our travels. Great itineraries to experience the sights and cultures of the countries. Made some amazing friends and memories. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Everything about the Chile 2019 eclipse trip was terrific! The actual eclipse event was great, with a nice set-up and good food at the watching site. The weather was perfect too, but as expected in the desert. The rest of the eclipse package, while a bit hectic, was interesting and well conducted by your local guides. Even the Patagonian weather was sunny! Our travel group, mostly Americans, bonded nicely. Our second shorter package, to the Atacama, also went well, with excellent local guides and drivers. Overall, we are extremely happy with our experience, and with the organisation both here and in Chile.

Fantastic experience: We are Canadians who booked our Antarctica trip through Eclipse an Australian company. We did that because the Eclipse agent, Mauricio was the quickest and most responsive to all our initial enquiries which were made to several different agencies. Mauricio was excellent throughout the whole planning and trip execution process; attending promptly and satisfactorily to all our requests. He was a pleasure to deal with. Karen of Eclipse was with us on the Antarctica trip. She was a pleasure to have on the trip and to share her knowledge of previous Antarctica experience.

Fantastic experience: I booked a trip through Eclipse Travel address 10/60 Pitt Street, Sydney, NSW, in 12/2017 aboard the Ocean Nova on 11/2018 which was an Antarticia 21. The ship, crew and expedition team were great. The Drake Passage is everything you can read up on it. Bring seasick patches or plenty of tablets. It's an experience. Bring a great camera phone cameras will not do it justice. Next trip I will skip the Drake Passage. Remember $10.00 to $15.00 US DOLLARS are highly recommended for crew & team members per day. Averaging 50 members. Ask for Camilla or Lara their great, please do what they need you to do when they need it done. I didn't but they was great. Sorry Camilla & Lara. But THANK Y'all I got all seven (7) continents now.

Fantastic experience: We booked a trip to South America (Peru and Argentina) for 2.5 weeks. The tour was tailored to what we wanted in our trip. Thanks to Anton, the trip was well organised and went very smoothly. We had a few hiccups with our flights on our way back to Sydney but this was beyond the control of Eclipse. Eclipse was very responsive to my calls and emails and I would be happy to use them again for my future trips.

Fantastic experience: Nothing but praise for this travel company. From start to finish they were truly professional. Anton answered any queries promptly and their travel partners in South America were excellent on our 37 day tour. All our guides were amazing in showcasing South America in both the highlights but in how people live. We had a problem with the airline and we missed our connections and it was handled so professionally and they got us back on track so we didn’t miss any of our trip. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Would definitely use them again.

Fantastic experience: We are very impressed with the excellent service provided by Anton and Tiffany of Eclipse Travel, Sydney. We visited South America twice before, so planning another tour for us posed many challenges. Neverthelsss they patiently proposed various options and made changes to match our preferences. Regretably we had to replace their well planned itinerary for a guided African tour because our family had concerns for us as senior , independent travellers. Unfortunately, after paying and almost finalising our African tour, our son was hospitalised. We reluctantly had to cancel our booking again ! We just happily completed two cruises ( ocean and river cruise ) in Europe - efficiently put together by Tiffany and partly funded by the balance of payment from our previous booking with the company. Throughout the process, they managed our requests , changes and bookings with remarkable patience, understanding and professionalism. Our sincere fiver star rating for their performance.

Fantastic experience: Me & my husband just got back from South American tour of Chile, Brazil, Argentina & Peru. Our Amazing tour was organized by Mouricio from Eclipse travel Sydney ( thanks so much Mouricio ). Our highlight was visiting Iguazu falls from both country ( Brazilian & Argentinean side ). Machu Picchu come second followed by Amazon & lake Titikaka with the floating islands. Can't thanks enough to all the team ( guides & drivers) that organized by eclipse travel to takes us around. Fantastic experience: Thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Mexico City, Guanajuato and San Miguel. Everything went smoothly, as clockwork as per our itinerary. Our guides were very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.

Fantastic experience: We have just returned from South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana, this being our first trip to the African continent. The trip was organised by Alisha from Eclipse Travel. Very impressed with Alisha who patientlyly answered our emails and many questions very promptly. Before the trip, we really do not know what to expect but on arrival at Johannesburg we were met by our representative when we were collecting our baggage which was a pleasant surprise.Everything went as planned after that. The accommodations were very comfortable and clean and the manager, safari guides, trackers, chefs and other staff at all the lodges were very friendly and helpful. We saw the big 5 as well as the African wild dogs which really made our trip. Will definitely use Eclipse Travel again.

Fantastic experience: Just returned from a spectacular 3 week South American vacation with my wife, mostly in Patagonia, arranged by Eclipse. Blake was fantastic to work with and really nailed the itinerary for a place where we were flying blind. Our itinerary was Buenos Aires, El Chalten, El Calafate, Ushuaia, Stella Australis cruise to Punta Arenas, Torres del Paine and Santiago. The local operators in Argentina and Chile were outstanding. The private guides were all excellent. The transfers were seamless. Everything was taken care of for us; we didn't have to worry about anything. The hotels were magnificent as was the cruise. We saw every conceivable variety of native animal - penguins, condors, guanacos, rheas, cormorants, foxes, whales, eagles, etc. Only thing we didn't see was a puma and I'm ok with that. The flora was spectacular as well. A number of people have asked me what my favorite part of the trip was and my response was... everything. It was all first rate; world class. Stunning scenery, friendly and interesting people, luxury, etc.. A trip we'll never forget. It takes a lot of people to put together a trip like that so hats off and sincere thanks to Blake and the team at Eclipse.

Positive experience: Excellent from the perspective that you can plan a completely bespoke trip going where you want for how long you want with the backing of tour guides, pre organised transfers and hotels. On the negative side, I found the prices were pretty inflated for making changes (most hotels they use have strict cancellation policies) and some of the hotels were not of a good standard (I would have assumed all would have been vetted previously). Nonethless, the agents were responsive to emails and calls throughout though I did feel like they could have provided more options for tours and optional excursions.

Fantastic experience: Our South American adventure was fabulous. And a great part of that was the seamless forward planning by Eclipse and their local providers. It was a wonderful experience without a hiccup. Thank you. Would highly recommend Eclipse service.

Positive experience: Co-ordination on airport and wharf terminal pickup was good. It is important to have an English speaking guy doing pick up at arriving airport Quality of accommodation was adequate to match the price. Transportation vehicle at El Calafate airport was not high standard; jam packing maximum number of passengers into a van and not enough room for baggage. Hindsight, I rather rent a car and drive myself. I was confused about baggage fees charged by Aerolingas Argentinas. Some airports charged nothing and some charged high fees. It is an issue on Argentinean airline S America is a beautiful place with plenty of unusual scenery. I will go back again and become smarter in arranging the itinerary. Eclipse Travel will definitely be considered.

Fantastic experience: Borneo Eclipse Travel ensured our group of 8 was looked after wherever we went. the tours, guides, accommmodation, extra services exceeded our expectations. this is our second experience with Eclipse Travel and I rate them highly. We were looked after from the minute we arrived to our departure.

Fantastic experience: We went on a 14 day tour to South Africa (short stay in Swaziland) and had the most amazing time. The tour was perfectly organised by Eclipse and the tour operators were knowledgeable and reliable. There were no hiccups and the tour ran according to schedule. Above all we got value for money and experienced a great deal of the country in a short amount of time while staying in accomodation of a high standard.

Negative experience: My husband and I had a trip to South America last month with Eclipse Travel. The itinerary was good and we had a chance to see amazing places in South America. But you have to be clever otherwise nobody take care of you there. We were in the hands of bunch of local cheap tours that just wanted to finish their day tour and you even can not find them after?! There is no connection between them and no one take any responsibilities if something goes wrong. We lost couple of amazing opportunities that we wished to do like climbing to Machu Picchu mountain! They gave us the wrong ticket!!! Make sure you have a proper travel insurance too. Eclipse Travel recommended us the most dodgy travel insurance ever! QBE. Unfortunately, we ambushed by two men in Rio de Jeneiro in front of our hotel in Copacabana Beach at 5:15 pm. They Stabbed my husband in his chest and he nearly to die. This insurance did nothing to cover us. All they said is fake and just making money. They will find the hidden sections to get rid of customer and Eclipse just took your money and do nothing. I do not recommend such an irresponsible travel agent to anyone. We are lucky we are alive.

Fantastic experience: Could not find a fault, I rate this trip as the best I have ever experienced in terms of efficiency and value for money. My husband and I have had many trips, but our 3 weeks in Brazil, Argentina, Peru and Chile, has now become one of our favourite trips. Well done Anton and thank you Eclipse Travel!

Fantastic experience: From the moment I inquired about South America with yourself and Eclipse, to experiencing the holiday, the service, the on-ground staff from each country I found everyone fantastic. As the trip was over 3 weeks, across 3 countries, 8 domestic/internal flights, 11 hotels/tents, 8 tours, 1 adventure trail and multiple transfers, hotel breakfasts etc., this meant the co-ordination needed to be of military precision. We were in good hands with all our questions answered before we left. As the main part of the trip was to complete the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu (which we did), we discovered the adventure company ended up being exclusive to us. What a bonus! All on-ground staff in each country including yourself Lara gave us an amazing and memorable trip. Very little issues were experienced that were in our control (i.e. flight delays, presidential elections). I would recommend Eclipse Travel to my friends and family and in 2020 will be back to organise an Icelandic Adventure.

Fantastic experience: Professional every step of the way. Our trip to Mexico and Costa Rica went off without hitch thanks to excellent organisation by eclipse travel. The local partners were always waiting for us and were extremely helpful. This was brought to the fore when I accidentally left my camera behind. The local partner in that country arranged for posting back to me. Great communication every step of the way. Would recommend!
