Negative experience: I am overseas and need to know if I can change my flights. I cannot phone so sent a message two days ago saying I need to do this quickly as other plans depend on whether the changes can be made. I have heard nothing.

Negative experience: I waited 3 weeks to be able to take my sister in law from Scotland to the flight centre so she could book her Australia getaways in at a store that still operates a shopfront and will do all the work for me. I waited 45 minutes for him to see all the existing customer then I said: I’d like to see what holidays you have around Australia near the water between now and February. I don’t have any price limitations. His response: I don’t have the time to go through it with you now but I can lead you to where the information is online. I then said thank you but I came in store to have the service provided I can do my own shopping online if that’s what I wanted. He said: sorry I can’t help you. So me, my sister in law, husband and mum all walked out without buying any holidays. Now I’m headed home to book them myself but definitely won’t be using FC’s online portal. I can’t give less than 1 star but honestly it didn’t even earn that.

Negative experience: Terrible. Tried to get through to Woden flight centre on Friday 17th October for 3 times all about 30 minutes each. No answer. Just music telling me the cruise sale was ending on the 12th October it is now the 17th October

Negative experience: I went to this office to discuss for tickets one of the staff said wait for a while there will be some one coming for you to discuss about tickets. I waited there 35 minutes no one came and there are 5 staff no response nothing at all . waste of my time. Very very disappointing and poor communication , never going there again.

Fantastic experience: We had a big problem when Qatar Airlines cancelled for unknown reason our flight to Europe. Asim assisted us in finding the most suitable and convenient solution, going the extra mile in helping us in a very stressig situation. Negative experience: Just walked in to ask about booking flights and got told at 12.40 that they do not have time to help me today! This place supposedly closes at 5pm!!! Edit after the owner said I should book an appointment in advance: one - that should have been offered to me when I was told I was not getting served and two - are you serious? There was one staff member in the shop dealing with a customer and I was the only other person there. It sounds like you'd prefer people to go elsewhere/online - no problem - this experience and this rubbish response has guaranteed I will.

Positive experience: This feedback relates to my visit on 22/06. According to both Google and the official website, the Woden branch was advertised as open on Sundays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. However, when my family arrived at 2:50 pm, the branch was already closed. We also tried to call prior to arriving at the shopfront, only for no one to answer the phone. For the sake of future and returning customers, it would be helpful to either ensure the online opening hours are accurate and if not, update the erroneous times, or have the branch remain open as advertised. While closing a few minutes early is understandable, closing over an hour before the listed time is disappointing and inconvenient.

Fantastic experience: Emy Obinna, of Woden Flight Centre, booked my original flight to Fiji last December, with professionalism and he provided great customer service. In late Feb, a month before departure, I needed to alter my accommodation. Emy assisted me by updating the changes, and with his positive and helpful attitude, and his knowledge and expertise, the process was seamless. Well at least for me. His customer service and professionalism is highly appreciated.

Fantastic experience: This review is for Emy Obinna at the Woden Centre, absolutely brilliant, first class efficiency from start to finish regarding my flight to Los Angeles this February. Firstly, Emy ensured my vegetarian option was honoured and not left to chance as previous Flight Centre assistants had done, leaving me with only meat options. I decided to try them again, this time at Woden. Emy, unlike others, got onto the airline by phone while I was there, to ensure that I wasn't let down again. And, on my flight day, my flight from Canberra was cancelled, meaning that I would miss my connecting Melbourne to LA flight. I called Emy in a panic. He calmly told me not to worry, that he would get me onto another flight, and he did - to Sydney, then in plenty of time to be on a Qantas flight to LA. Easy, seamless, kind and cheerful, with expert expertise and efficiency. Thank you Emy!

Negative experience: Came to the office in Woden today as I wasn’t able to pay online for my tickets (a bug). The person who was helping me quotted $2100 while on their website price for the same flight was $1500. The service was not helpful. I left with no resolution. Not happy.

Negative experience: My partner went in to book us flights and accommodation. Online self booking $704 Flight centre online $804 Flight centre in person $1034 Was going to use them as we had a gift card to use but they are such a waste of time and money. they will not let you use their giftcards online only in person and will not honour their own online prices. Save you time stay as far away from these people as possible.

Negative experience: Really messed up service. Called up before visiting store and they advised to go to the store to redeem the gift card. Went to the store only to find that the store did not take walk ins but appointments only, person named josh advised that I wouldn't be able to get an appointment anywhere else as well without booking online. I called canberra center and got the appointment for the same time.
Negative experience: So after submitting four online enquiries and getting no response I decided to come in store, only to find that as well as closing an hour and a half before everyone else in the centre the team had pulled the door closed at 3:50. When I asked for a brochure your staff member was incredibly patronising, unfortunately for him I worked for flight centre for two and a half years. When I asked that he give me a brochure for Bali so I could book my trip myself (since clearly you don’t need the commission and minimum wage is enough for you, he gave me a South Pacific brochure. For those playing along at home Bali is in Indonesia, which isn’t in the South Pacific brochure. Being rude is one thing, but you should at least know the basic geography of one of the most popular travel destinations. No wonder all your stores are closing and you can’t afford to keep the doors open past 3:50.

Negative experience: Made an appointment to go in to Woden. as I have had great experiences in the past. Our experience this time was terrible. Beth was the flight centre representative and was extremely negative the entire time. Her attitude was disgusting. I ended up walking out not feeling like going on a holiday at all. Went home and booked it myself in the end for cheaper. Do not recommend dealing with Flight Centre Woden.

Negative experience: Could not have been any worse Stuck in Vietnam with no assistance, speaking to FC people in South Africa. Spent life savings taking my kids to Vietnam. Beth didn’t inform us we needed 6 month on passports. Found out by accident and had to pay additional $1500 in processing priority passport fees. Copped it on the chin and didn’t complain even though did mention it to her because it’s kind of important information if you are going to be turned away from the country of your holiday. Then manage to get to Sydney check in at airline to find out we need visas for Vietnam- Beth also forgot to mention this. Flight centre sort partly for Sydney and instead of relaxing in a lounge I’m told to meet immigration in Hanoi and somehow 2k fee for urgent visas flight centre offer to pay for us? Like on what planet would we pay this given that is why you go to a travel agent…..why the heck do you go to travel agent if they don’t tell you these details such as country requirements now a fail x2. Awful start to trip. Get to Hanoi and have two hours with immigration meanwhile someone helps themselves to my bag whilst with immigration sorting out my visa that contains the travel card Beth recommended I get and has most of our trip money on it. When I realise belongings been stolen I ring travel card who tells me it’ll be 7 business days to return my money and I have to fill out a form. Four days later still waiting for the form but won’t have the money back for the trip any way. If it had been a credit card of mine I could’ve simply transferred so I wonder why anyone would get a travel card? Get to Hanoi lodgings Beth booked that are awful. We are on 12 floor- lift and air con and pool not working. Check out immediately and take my kids elsewhere and call flight centre and email- no response. Have only half money for trip now. Fly to Da nang. The hotel Beth managed to book for an extra 5 k to what I was quoted thinks I am marrying my 16 year old but no breakfast or inclusions so I am wondering why I paid an additional 5k. As this is simply money gone up in smoke. On call for two hours to Pauline in flight Centre in South Africa who offers me one free breakfast due to the circumstances- also got hung up on once. Dead set think the call has cost me at least 1k on international roaming. Still no word from flight centre Woden. Pretty sure my 16 year old could’ve done a better job. Absolutely diabolical and thinking of suing.

Negative experience: Not enough staff. Don't answer the phone, I rang Centre Management to find out if they were open, then had to drive to Woden to make an appointment. Wrong information on their web page. The head office needs to address this. Thank you for your reply. However, you have 2 staff on when as you said it's busy

Negative experience: Don't even bother trying. They don't answer phone calls or return calls. Going to the shop front and they are equally as useless. The Flight Centre in Queanbeyan was amazing. Hard to believe they are part of the same chain. PS only gave one star because you can't give a negative

Negative experience: Woden Flight Centre does not even rate 1 star. Terrible communication and service. 10 weeks ago my daughter paid almost $4000 for family passes for a long awaited family trip to Disneyworld. 2 days before departure from Australia, she found the passes had not been validated and were unusable. She was told that it would be fixed before she landed in America. It wasn’t and it still isn’t. She was then told to repurchase the tickets at Disneyworld while they organised a refund. Another almost $4000 that she had not budgeted for, so I, as a pensioner sent her the money. Now 10 weeks later, still no refund and dismal communication by the travel agent. I need my money back! I am so disgusted with Woden Flight Centre. I have a friend who worked for a private travel agency in Canberra who is also appalled at this long wait and has said that this is not right and it should not take so long for the refund. After all, it was the agents fault that the tickets were not validated. I will be spreading the word to my many travelling friends…. and there are many, to never set foot in Woden Flight Centre. I certainly won’t be. I should add to the comment made below by the ‘Owner’ …. The tickets were issued by Flight Centre Woden after being purchased from one of your wholesalers. The wholesalers did not validate the tickets. Disneyworld we’re not involved. They should have been checked by your agent before they were given to my daughter. So the fault lies with your agent. It is now 13 weeks since this happened and there has been no communication from Woden Flight Centre for at least 6 weeks on follow up. My daughter has put in a complaint with customer relations and given another timeframe of 3 weeks for communication. I think the time has come to take this further legally. So unprofessional.

Negative experience: I was after flight tickets to Singapore and they said me we cant help you right now. We can make a schedule a booking next week after 6 days ridiculous. Even i tried calling you guys no answer. I feel better not to go any of your stores. Very poor service.

Negative experience: Called the 1300 number and was told to go to the shopfront and then hung up on me. I went to the Woden store where two girls were sitting at desks refused to acknowledge my presence! Then I was told by another person that I needed to make an appointment! I can't recommend this business as they treat customers with contempt!

Fantastic experience: I am so grateful for Tiffany at Flight Centre. I received terrible news back home in England and needed to travel urgently. I went to Tiffany, and she reassured me I would find the flight I needed. We explored options together, and I have gotten the perfect flight now. To have stressful news and needing to fly ASAP but not knowing which route, airlines and price were best at such late notice, it was a relief to have Tiffany look after this for me. She went above and beyond and worked through her lunch break to make things ok for me. I recommend people seek assistance from Tiffany & FC Woden when booking their next travel. Thank you so much.

Negative experience: I call, wait 30mins to talk to an operator in Philippines. He leaves a message for u guys to call me. I dont hear anything so call again. Wait 20 mins then send an email and u don't reply. Same experience as pre covid times.

Negative experience: The most frustrating, stressful experience I have ever had trying to organise a holiday. The only parts that have run smoothly are the ones I’ve organised myself. I’ll never use Flight Centre again. They do not answer phones, or reply to emails. They do not care about the customer experience and always just hit back with “high demand”. The advantage of a travel agent is that they should give you peace of mind due to their experience. This has not been my experience this time around

Negative experience: It has been a month we got our tickets and we have to go to the center everyday to fix the confirmed flight which has changed and part of that is cancelled! One time the guy says he is busy with another client...the other day we are told the guy is sick and we have to wait...other time he says he will fix it and send it till night....nothing has been done! We are full time employees..not jobless to go and check evey day ....our time is wasted and we are terribly frustrated! We also cancelled the insurance the same day...still waiting for the refund and hear we will get it back in few days....angry and frustrated customer...so regret for booking with flight center and worried about a trip that is supposed to be enjoyable! No one respond phone calls either...

Negative experience: Flight centre has been a nightmare to deal with. I recommend any other local travel agent. If you have any doubt: call flight centre - they say someone will be with you shortly and then hang up on you after 5 minutes

Negative experience: The store never answer the phone. The phone message bank has been full for months so you can’t even leave a message. We have credits with the store sitting there of our own money and not a single way of contacting the store. Have attempted to go in store but you must have booked a prearranged appointment which is impossible when no one answers the phones. Have tried leaving complaints through the flight centre website and nothing happens. Have also tried emailing generic email addresses and no one responds.

This is meant by way of an apology rather than an excuse - as a travel agency we should be doing better and aim to do better. Negative experience: Had to book an appointment next week to see them, this multi flight booking i made previous with a friend has stressed me out all week, I was really looking forward to flight center helping us out today. they were closed for IT. They closed all of my local branches and it took 40 mins to get to this one. Never using flight center again.

Negative experience: They almost made us miss our flights. Nothing was organised. I had the airport transfer company call me direct to organise out pick up times. Every time we called or went to speak to someone you couldn’t. When we did get into contact with someone they said everything was okay. Negative experience: Have been trying to call the 24/7 contact number for help with our flights, that were originally booked for today, Luckily we are not travelling today as I have tried several different numbers and not one of them has answered within 30 minutes, unfortunately I do not have hours to sit on the phone trying to get assistance to change our flights. Unfortunately the longer I wait the more chance the seats I want will get sold and then I will have to pay more than I would have if they had just answered the call. I don't think I will be booking through Flight Centre again, just not enough support. I have given one star only because I can't give a zero star.

Negative experience: We are just trying to book a trip but it’s way harder than necessary. We went to one branch and got absolutely no support or suggestions at all. We asked for a quote and got told we will receive it within 2 days. That was over a week ago and we still haven’t received anything even though we contacted them again during the week. Went to the Woden branch on Sunday and drove all through Canberra for it cause it’s the only branch open at the weekend… it was closed. Very disappointing!

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible customer service. Will completely rip you off and disappear as your travel agent when you really need them overseas! They entered my DOB wrong and risked voiding my flights (which I discovered in time). Do not book through them, I ended up finding all the cheaper flights myself (often 200-400 dollars cheaper than their initial suggestions), and suffered from being unable to check-in online or manage my own booking. Absolutely atrocious!
Fantastic experience: I used an airline web site to plan a vacation. I was very glad to find that Flight Centre was able to give me a better price. The customer service was excellent.
