Negative experience: I presented just before 5pm to discuss booking a trip overseas. I had simply wanted to start the conversation and prepared a possible itinerary to leave with them that we could discuss further at a later time when they had time to put some improvements together. There were two agents available, and apparently they didn’t feel they had time for a conversation. Instead of apologising and offering to help me find a time to make an appointment she refused to see me and made me feel ridiculous for showing up, then she questioned why I would need brochures when I asked for some. I have taken my business elsewhere because of the reception I received, which is disappointing. All the attendant had to do was apologise and ask if she could help me make an appointment on another day.

If the team have availability to see you immediately, they of course will, but they will also be juggling the virtual queue of customers with post appointment follow-ups, booking maintenance, and email enquiry. In this case, it sounds like they would have been working on these prior to closing. We do highly recommend booking an appointment with the team as this ensures a dedicated sit down to chat about your booking. Fantastic experience: Many thanks again Natalya! We went in to book for our holiday for Hawaii last Saturday. It is our first international trip for the three of us so you can imagine how nervous we were booking a trip online so we wanted to ask as many questions and book in person. Natalya’s personalised service was different to anyone else’s, she was honest, explained her experiences and took all our questions. Fantastic experience: My wife and I couldn’t thank Bec and Kim enough for their help with planning our honeymoon across Europe and Dubai. Bec and Kim were extremely efficient, and organised everything from Hotels, Flights, Experiences and even transfers (ferries and train tickets). Our hotels were high quality and all for an extremely reasonable price. Friends were surprised at the prices we paid for the places we stayed at. A special shoutout to Bec who was a lifesaver when we were in Dubai. There was a mix up with our booking at the hotel and our booking was cancelled. After failing to contact Flight Centres international number, an email to Bec proved to be the saving grace. She was onto the situation instantly, even on her day off from work, keeping in contact with me via WhatsApp and following up with the hotel to ensure that we had no issue with our stay. My wife and I cannot thank Bec and Kim enough for their amazing planning.

Fantastic experience: The Asian consultant I had was extremely very rude, unprofessional and not helpful at all . Even the friend I came with witnessed everything and he lost interest in booking with you guys . Imagine spending $4,000 dollars for your flights . Bringing good profits for the flight centre agency and you have someone like her representing flight centre , you lost a good customer . And the worse part not even getting my tickets and my tour schedule emailed to me. And no apology from the manager kim to sort out this consultant with attitude problems, I literally had to ring other flight centre agencies for help . !! But I can say that Cheyenne and Dina are really good and very helpful !

Fantastic experience: Cheyenne was incredibly helpful with our booking. She arranged an alternative deal for us after the original deal we were looking at had sold out and had great recommendations for what to do around our booking. She personally recommended attractions and restaurants that we should visit that were very much to our taste. She got us the best deal possible and was nothing but professional and personable. I’d recommend her to organise the logistics of an upcoming trip any day.

Fantastic experience: My family and I have used the Burwood team several times over the last few years and have always had a great experience with the staff helping to organise fantastic holidays. I want to personally shout out to Natalya for going absolutely above and beyond for my most recent holiday. She organised last minute changes to flights and accommodation while I was overseas with limited communication, turning what would have been an incredibly stressful holiday into a relaxing and much needed vacation. Thank you also to Dina and John for their help with the change of holiday plans too. The compassion showed by Nat is rare and I am genuinely grateful. Negative experience: Very much disappointed with the service, the store closing time was 5.30 pm, and we walked in around 5.10 pm, the gate barriers were kept so that no one could walk in, and we were standing there to trying to know if they were open or closed, but even though the staff saw us, they chose to ignore and didn't even bother to say they were closed (the website, google and the board says they are open till 5.30). There were 4 staff and only one of them was serving a customer who was already inside, but the other 3 didn't bother to say they were not ready to serve, or they were busy. All three of them saw us waiting to talk to them but still were rude, as if we were there to get their services for free. We were looking to book flights from Syd to Toronto for 4 passengers (itinerary costing around ~12k) but with their rude behaviour, decided not to even try out any other flight centre branches, their website or the app. I just booked in the flights directly from the airlines and it was all smooth and flawless. Will never go back to Flight centre or would never recommend it to any of my colleagues / friends. Its not about serving the customers, but basic courtesy to tell if they were still open or closed .

Negative experience: Very disappointed with service @ Burwood store. 5 staff on floor (all without customers) busy on computers. Finally young chap in lunch room was asked to look after me. Totally not interested in helping me plan & book holiday. Only offered 1 flight option, only when I asked about other airlines did he find one @ much cheaper price. When I asked about connecting flights, he said I would have to do those myself. Decided not to waste anymore time with useless staff & left.

Negative experience: Never came back to me for a quote despite mentioning it will be sent in the next 24 hours. Booked direct with airline instead and it was way cheaper than quoted verbally. You're out of your game Flightcentre, you should hold on to the clients who want to book with you, it's a tough market out there.

Positive experience: The main issue with flight centre is after closing some or most of their stores, it's hard to find time to go into an actual store, and it takes such a long time waiting to connect when calling on the phone. Even if your willing to wait to leave a message, the message is full and won't accept to take your message. Currently waiting on a quote for a family getaway and hope to get a decent package.

Fantastic experience: As first time travellers, my fiancé and I could not have fallen in the hands of someone more experienced or skilled than Senior Consultant, Florencia! Not only was she super helpful while she arranged and organised our flights, accomodation, activities and transfers for our honeymoon but she was also extremely reassuring and patient with us. After receiving so many referrals to deal with Florencia, from family and friends, I can confirm how professional, committed, and outstanding her work ethic and passion for her role truly is. She was so considerate and determined in ensuring that she could achieve the honeymoon of our dreams which I can confidently say she has. Fantastic experience: I really love my experience with Kim the manager. I came to her after I got screwed over by another agency in the city that’s meant to be “highly rated” they quoted me almost triple of what my budget was and would not disclose the commission fee (the fee when I went online and did my calculations it turned out to be 50%). I showed Kim and she assured me she would work with me to book transfers, hotels and tours. My flights were already booked by the city agency. Kim was honest, easy to work with and I had no issues with my Trip to Italy, Turkey, Jordan and Dubai. Everything went smoothly and she was very helpful whilst I was on my travels. I recommend seeing him as she explains everything to you and works with your budget. She also checks reviews of hotels, tours and transfers. Strongly advise booking an appointment in advance as she is busy and is one of the best workers you will find in branches like this. Honestly flight centre should feel lucky they have her as a manager because I honestly found it so hard to find a decent agency.

Negative experience: Just plain rude I first called to discuss two holidays one in February another later on that I seen advertised on their website - I was told availability was at 3pm but I wouldn’t be able to speak about the second trip due to the time of departure and it wouldn’t be on their system - no problems. I arrive at the shopping centre 20 mins early we walked in a guy was sitting at the front desk ( this was the 16/12/23) playing on his phone. We asked him if he was able to help he kind of brushed us off and I stated we had an appointment coming up would we be able to do it now he said what was it for - I stated that on the phone what I was looking for - he said yeah that was me - I guess I could see you now in a huff - made to feel very unwelcome we said we will just come back at the time - considering the customer service we go see another travel agency as there are many more that are willing to sell 2 holidays in one transactions

It was so reassuring to know you were at the end of the line if advice was needed - this made a huge difference to our peace of mind during the almost eight weeks we were away. The Trafalgar Tour and the Viking Tour were both excellent, and we enjoyed all that they had to offer; the two short flights (Bologna/Heathrow and Heathrow/Prague) went without a hitch. Negative experience: John is extremely rude and has hung up on me after messing up a tour while overseas worth almost $2,000 and refusing to pay us back. Their solution was to get the refund from the supplier who is no longer available and without that they cannot refund us and won’t pay us themsleves. They have now ripped us off $2,000 and will not pay. Avoid at all costs, now I will Have to chase up with the ACCC and fair training. Ridiculous customer service.

Negative experience: Worst customer service from Dina. Called on Friday 6th 2023 as a return customer to flight centre. Rude attitude, No follow up, had incorrect date and told me you can see it’s been long day. If you have recording of the phone for training purposes please go listen to it. That is exactly what you said. Rather than telling me I don’t say that to my customers.. If you don’t want the business please pass to someone else who does. Till today been a whole week and still no follow up calls, no email. I called back myself today to give the centre another go because I am local in same time to file a complaint. Then Dina rings me back only because I made a complaint? Saying I asked her not to email me ??? and she did try to call me back on Friday and it went vm. Can you not leave a vm ? Because I didn’t get vm or missed calls. Probably because you didn’t call at all? Proof of call? I asked to call me if you have offers or updates to different flight. I did not say don’t email me ? Do you remember me confirming you my email address in my profile ? I said same thing to your colleague John today and he understood without any issues. Or at least you call me back next working day to update ? A week now and no calls at all or no email. I am glad I am dealing with another agent John who is interested in the enquiry. His quick and straight on case. Calls me back in 5-10 without any issues. Is it that hard to make a follow up call or email? Instead of apologising to customer. She insist saying she done nothing wrong and give more excuses .. when I call back she greets me with a YEA? I know this is your number. Hello? Please have a manager call me back. Thank you

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience with Flight Centre travel agent today . The manager's behavior was shockingly rude and disrespectful. Despite making an appointment over the phone, he refused to accommodate my request and claimed they were "too busy" to assist me with my travel plans, even though I needed to travel in just one week. This level of unprofessionalism is simply unacceptable. He was not even prepared to listen or offer suggestions as I had requested. Congratulations guys I'll be taking my $40000 booking elsewhere- maybe best and less travel located just outside the mall. Suggest all other potential travelers do the same REPLY TO THE RESPONCE: your responce does not justify the rudness and attitude of the staff. it has nothing to do with "high demand" and post covid travel this is just basic custumer service. that you cannot adhere to.

Negative experience: My experience echos that of many others it seems. I visited on a Sunday, wishing to discuss options for a two family SE Asia holiday to celebrate a couple of significant birthdays. There were two consultants helping others when I arrived with one person in front of me. The person in front waited about 5 and was welcomed through. I spent the next 15 minutes watching the other young consultant chatting to a 'customer', but it was obviously just a friend. To be fair they may have been organising a trip as well as catching up, but chit chatting away discussing non travel related matters while I've been waiting for some time is not the pinnacle of customer service. When they eventually stood, hugged and chatted some more about if the 'customer' was working today or not etc., the consultant came over to me and asked how she could help. Still standing, I described the situation, 2 families, holiday, somewhere in SE Asia or possibly the Pacific, wondering about any good package deals they may be aware of (not a crazy question, given it's their freaking' job). Sorry, can't help you, slight paraphrase but very close to the response, "There are hundreds of specials and deals, I can't possibly be expected to remember them all. Please decide where you want to go before you come in here and waste my time. Have you visited our website?" I briefly protested, mentioning this is actually her role and the reason for Flight Centre's existence. Why should I be doing all the heavy lifting? Imagine going to a doctor with some malady and being told, "There are thousands of diseases, I can't possibly help you narrow down which one it is. Please google your symptoms and come back to me when you at least have an idea of the type of problem you have." Flight Centre nearly went under during the pandemic, they received almost $250 million dollars in 20/21 of my hard earned tax. FOR FEEE, NO STRINGS ATTACHED. Now they find themselves in a position where demand outstrips supply and they don't even need to try to get our business or provide any form of customer service. They will never receive another cent from me, I travel a bit more than the average person, around 75 flights a year. Rest assured FC won't be helping me with any future travel plans.

Negative experience: Mediocre service - very reactive and not proactive. The consultant did not send me the itinerary after I paid, instead I had to email him a few days later to ask for it. He also did not mention anything about getting mandatory visa upon arrival for Vietnam. I asked for advice and they directed me to a visa website. I ended paying for a visa ($97 AUD) when it seemed like I didn't have to as I was transiting through Ho Chi Minh City and back to Sydney. In fact, the service attendant at the airport was quite surprised when I presented them with the visa. It seems Flight Centre are far from experts in this matter of visas and I WOULD NOT trust them for visa advice. Otherwise, they are fine and are able to assist me in booking flights

Fantastic experience: We dropped in to Burwood Flightcentre and were seen almost straight away. Cheyenne was professional, knowledgeable, charming and efficient. She arranged flights, car hire and travel insurance for our Tasmanian trip efficiently and always with a smile. It was a delight to be served by someone who loves their job and is excellent at it.

Negative experience: I recently had the misfortune of dealing with Flight Centre Burwood, and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a travel agency. The complete lack of service and the abhorrent behavior of their staff left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. We spoke with one of the 'senior consultants'. We made an appointment to see her to go through some accommodation options for a family holiday. She made us wait 15 minutes while she dealt with a client on the phone which we were very understanding with. The hotels that we originally discussed were unavailable which again was fine. Instead of looking at other options and finding other accommodation she suggested changing the dates. She was incompetent and slow on the computer switching between tabs and having difficulty putting the details into the website. While discussing the new dates and accommodation options we realised that the date did not work for us. She then responded with her hands on her head "you have just wasted an hour and a half of my time" and refused to look at anything else for us. We were told to decide on dates before returning even though we had already told her the date we wanted and was flexible with accommodation. She was the one that wasted our time. Absolutely shocked flight centre has not done anything about the burwood branch after reading all of these reviews. Will never go to flight centre Burwood ever again. Don't waste your time. It's worth your time going to flight centre in Birkenhead they are amazing.

Positive experience: I called numerous stores which each having over 20 minutes wait time, then it just cuts out. I then attended the store and they were very unhelpful and couldn’t find what I wanted. I went home, googled what I wanted and found prices for my trip plus much more. I was appointed Florencia whom I was told was experienced with USA trips. Florencia certainly did have the knowledge and patience when providing me a quote and was able to do at an amazing price. Negative experience: I had to book a New Zealand trip for next month and walked in hoping someone could help me. Very disappointed in their customer service. I was told by a staff that I had to wait 5 days for an appointment. I approached someone else and got an appointment the very next day, only to receive a call in the morning saying the system was down and was asked not to come in unless I receive a call from them. No calls were received by the end of the day and no apologies given. I called later to check the status of their system and was told that someone will contact me when they’re free and never received a call. I walked past their office after work to see that they were providing service to customers. I went to the flight centre in Blacktown and received the best service. I will not be recommending Flight centre in Burwood to anyone after receiving bad customer service from not just one, but multiple staff.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience with staff member charmaine. She went above and beyond to help us book a flight to Ireland for me,my partner and 3 month old son. Qatar Airlines had a issue in the system due to not recognising how my partner and son have the same name- they have different passport details and are not the same person. Charmaine did everything from numberous phones calls, numberous emails and 3 days of fighting with them to get it sorted to ensure we had a smooth trip. Even after the ticket were finalised she has responded to all my questions. She does amazing work and I can not thank her enough for her help. She is an absolute star.

Negative experience: We specifically checked closing times and proceeded to go to Burwood as they were advertised as closing at 4pm on Sunday. We got there at 2.50 pm and the place had a barricade up not allowing anyone into the store. People were inside ignoring us. We were outside and my wife phoned the shop only to be put on hold for 15 mins because no one would answer the phone, meanwhile there was another 3 customers queueing up behind us. My wife got a recorded message saying you would need to phone your local centre to make a booking, which she was trying to do. Someone eventually came to the barricade and then turned away 4 potential customers. We were very upset, as were the other customers. This was very poor service and also a bad experience. I really cannot recommend this store at all and because of this we missed our flights that we wanted to book.

Fantastic experience: We came to flight centre Burwood to organise a trip for our 60th birthday and was assigned to Cheyenne. We discussed what we wanted and left it all up to her to organise everything for us. She was very professional and proficient at her job. Everything was ready in no time. We then had a family medical emergency and had to cancel the whole trip. Contacted Cheyenne and in no time at all, she cancelled everything for us and was able to obtain a refund for us without any hesitation or issue. The service we had from flight centre Burwood and Cheyenne was exceptional. I highly recommend this travel agent.

Negative experience: As soon as i walked in .a man didnt look interested of serving you. This terrible service What happened to the old customer service.

Negative experience: Went it to ask advice on travelling to SE Asia, spur of the moment trip. Guy said to me sorry csnt help you we are totally booked. Went home booked a trip myself in 5 min

Negative experience: You use to go in and book the holiday of your choice , now you have to make an appointment like you going to the doctor . Not to worry I can book on line too . Is you flight Centre that you lose not us .

Fantastic experience: You either get good or bad service!fortunately for us we had hp from Johnny who I highly recommend. He was accommodating to our budget and thoughts. Within a couple of hours we nailed flights and transfers etc. Thanks

Negative experience: Absolutely not interested in discussing our requests or taking our money. We wanted to plan a trip for 6 people to Canada and the US in Dec. The response was we only take bookings, Friday at midday (7days away) is your next option and we have no brochures for you either! I really wanted to discuss and book our biggest holiday in 10 years with a person rather than a web browser but the Flight Center engagement model is just too hard so I’ll have to do my own research in the evening and book online… honestly very disappointed and said to see that this is how they have chosen to engage with customers and compete with online offerings.

Negative experience: Horrible experience. As soon as we walked in the door the male worker said “can I help you” in a rude tone and with attitude that seemed like we were bothering him. Once we sat down (from his instruction) he said he didn’t have much time until his next appointment, we asked if we could come back another time he said it was fine to speak quickly. Then upon telling him what we were thinking he made sly remarks and repeatedly stopped mid sentence to speak to a female co-worker. It’s an exciting time for us to book our honeymoon and we felt unwelcome, he also said he would send me an email with travel arrangements and to book an appointment but we never heard back. We will not be coming back to flight centre
