Negative experience: I am writing to express my sincere disappointment with the customer service my husband and I received at your store on Friday, September 19, 2025, between approximately 5:10 PM and 5:25 PM. First, I want to acknowledge the significant improvements made under the new management. The store has become a more pleasant place to shop, and we have been visiting more frequently as a result. This makes our recent experience all the more disheartening. During our visit, we were met with unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from the young man working at the counter. Upon entering, he immediately gave us an annoyed look and failed to provide a proper greeting or offer any assistance. He remained seated at the counter, even as we were actively looking for assistance in the fish section to purchase Hilsha. We were ultimately unable to get help and, as a result, did not purchase the fish we came for. We left after only buying some frozen vegetables and rice. The individual's conduct was unprofessional and showed a complete lack of respect for customers. A person in a customer-facing role is the face of the business, and their behavior directly impacts the customer experience and the store's reputation. Such a lack of basic customer service skills is unacceptable and would not be tolerated in any professional setting. We value the improvements your store has made, but this incident raises serious concerns. I sincerely hope that this matter will be addressed promptly and that the employee in question receives the necessary training on customer service and professional conduct. I will be visiting the store again to see if there has been any improvement in this matter. However, if this behavior persists, I will be forced to escalate this issue and report his unprofessional conduct and potential involvement in "cash-in-hand" employment to the relevant authorities. We choose to spend our money at your establishment and expect to be treated with a minimum level of professionalism and respect.

Fantastic experience: I’m really impressed with the changes at Bangla Traders under the new management! The store feels more organized, the staff are friendlier, and the overall customer service has improved a lot. It’s clear that the new team cares about quality and customer satisfaction. I found everything I needed easily, and the prices were fair too. Looking forward to shopping here more often. Great job to the new management!

Let the customer feel comfortable first then offer your humble service rather than dodgy sales tactics! Be humble please: One the worst experiences is An example: Customer: What’s the price for xyz? Sales digger: Do you think to buy xyz? Customer: price please? Sales Digger: $1234, do you want Customer: no thanks Customer may not have that budget to spend but you made her very uncomfortable and it’s shameful.

Fantastic experience: Bought deshi newly arrived Hilsa at the start of the new season. Service has been improved under the new management and offer discounts to the new customers as well. All the goods are phenomenal and welcoming behaviour won’t disappoint you either. Recommending everyone to come to visit them and more importantly you can trust their products, especially fish and meats are fresh enough.

Negative experience: Getting worse day by day. Ordered big Rohu but they mixed with small one and charged more without even my knowledge. It happened few times. Very unethical

Negative experience: Very rude staff , do yourself a favour and buy indian groceries from the kind lady across the street and for meat go to the greek butcher across the street as well They charge random prices based on their mood or the ethnic background of the customer, not sure. Ever over priced and have no decency to speak to anyone I would give them 0 star if that was an option

Negative experience: They need to work on their behaviour specially the old man. He's quite rude. The prices are hiked always which is sad and I try to avoid it as much as possible.

Negative experience: They always had issues with their professionalism in aspects such as unfriendly staff or having to price tag at more than 80% of their products. But today my experience was very disgusting. I asked for a 4 kilo fish, he sold me a 6 kilo & I only got to know about it while paying the bill. The staff must have been high as he didn't even feel that he should've asked me before start cutting. The people work here has no common sense, no professionalism, never thinks about consumers while selling a product. I am never visiting here, ever again so should you.

Negative experience: Awful experience at this shop. Purchased a fish only to find it rotten while cooking. The owner showed poor professionalism when informed about the issue. I strongly advise against purchasing anything from this shop.

Negative experience: It was a horrible experience as the cashier was biased, prioritizing their community people first. Despite waiting for half an hour, we were still asked to wait. There was a lack of customer service.

Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional behaviour. Trying to scam people by saying the cash register is closed and we have to pay in cash. Didn’t even give the receipt of the items bought on the first hand, only printed out a ‘misc items’ list on charging him for not providing us with the receipt. Not recommended at all.

Fantastic experience: Best Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi Product in Huntingdale. No store in Huntingdale has such variety.

Positive experience: We have gone here a few time. Owner is from Bangladesh and a religious muslim. They have a good collection of Bangladeshi origin goods and fishes. Price is decent and unlike another shop they have a clear price list present for customers. I see a few bad reviews, but I think those may be due to misunderstanding and miscommunications. There is a Afghan man present in this area, who often visit the shop and tries to misbehave with customers. The owner says he is unstable and mentally ill. It is recommended not to fight with this Afghan man if you have a confrontation.

Negative experience: The owner (the older shopkeeper) is extremely rude and barely has the manners to speak to anyone. It seems he doesn't like people from other backgrounds and does very little mask the racist thought process in him.

He was treated extremely rudely by the owner. His only crime was that he asked about the availability of fresh fish! Seriously pathetic, rather non existent customer service. Will NEVER EVER go into this shop. Uncalled for behaviour.

Fantastic experience: As a first time customer in lockdown I was delighted to receive a handwritten note in my package and an extra bottle of Sangiovese. A wonderful thing to do during such a tense time - really did lift my spirits and make my day. These guys go the extra mile!

In this pandemic, other shops charge delivery cost. But this shop is not charging at all. Recommending this shop for fish other frozen veg & snacks.
