Fantastic experience: My son and I went to China on a trip a deal experience early No. 2024. It was sensational the tour guides knowledge,guidance, history and humour made so much enjoyable. Our 32 persons group were beautiful, supportive and caring individuals. The team work, sense of humour I just enjoyed and connected. To Charlie I love our Beijing tours, Sam in Zian and Helen and my last one in Shanghai was so so so Jojo dedicated reminded me of Charlie. I thank you for the exceptional tour guides we had the best, the hotel for me was awesome. The food at the hotels weee glorious the Beijing Peking duck is out of this world. The organic non processed food was astounding. The weather the additional place was exceptional. The people were lovely. Do I recommend China absolutely a great history, country, weather, food, historical site.Tripadeal supports and service are out of this world. I would definitely recommend there services. Love it. Charlie’s saying it is so so so so cold. Jojo is her home town and the prawn dumplings are out of this world.

Fantastic experience: We had a 10 days Beijing/Shanghai package. Our group were looked after by Micheal Zhang in Beijing and Walker in Shanghai. Both Micheal and Walker were fantastic and communicate well to us with the admin throughout the whole trip. Our transfers, hotels and tours were well taken care of. Both Micheal and Walker are very professional in their interaction with the group members. We are happy with TripADeal and would highly recommend the Beijing/Shanghai package.

Fantastic experience: Travelled to China and Japan in September 2024. The travel to the Entomb Warriors and Great Wall was amazing. The rest of the trip was excellent too with travel to unique sights, traditional and modern cities, and guided by very knowledgeable tour guides who thoroughly made sure we had a wonderful experience. Our travel was modified due to a typhoon and the cruise cancelled but the alternative arrangements offered were far beyond expectations. I would go to China and Japan with Trip a Deal again in a heartbeat. I’ve just booked another trip with Trip a Deal as I was so happy with our previous trip. Thank you all for your professionalism.

Fantastic experience: India was amazing, was nervous as such great price, but 5 star hotels, great guide exceptional value for money. we also booked the cooking demonstration which great, 4 dishes cooked recipes provided and dinner at the end . Varanasi extension is a must.

Negative experience: This company used to be excellent. Not anymore. Booked an Alaska trip in June over the phone and told that the flights would be with either United or Qantas. Alas, we are now booked on Air Canada. (Read reviews. Ordinary) Not direct. There is one but hey, let not get on that. I rang and requested a move to Qantas premium economy. Told that would cost $12059. But on the Qantas website it is quite cheaper. Cannot change to a more direct flight even though they say "we try to do it" . Last time. No more TripADeal. I have travelled with you guys since 2016. China, Nepal, Vietnam, Norway. This will be my last time and I will pass this onto all my friends.

Negative experience: Had a fantastic time in Vietnam with the 2 for 1 deal, even if we did land the day before a typhoon hit! Our guide, Duc, was incredible and although we couldn't do the majority of the activities due to the weather, we still had a fabulous time. Unfortunately TripaDeal were poor in their communication regarding our flights. Changes were made 1 week prior, and then again a few days before we were due to depart, however old flights and new flights were still showing up on the itinerary. They now had us leaving from Brisbane and not Melbourne, however our domestic flight from Brisbane to Melbourne was still showing, and the lady on the phone kept telling me I had to make my way from Melbourne to Brisbane to catch our departure flight to Hong Kong despite me telling her twice that I actually lived in Brisbane. This all happened the day before we were due to leave and I had to call them to make sense of it all. I was then told that on the return home we would have to make our own way back to Brisbane from Melbourne (this was originally booked and in the itinerary). No explanation as to why... I'm assuming the flight was cancelled? Booking last minute domestic flights in Australia is not cheap. Was also told our airport pickup on arrival was cancelled and we would have to make our own way from the airport to the hotel. I later found out from our guide in Vietnam that he was waiting for us at the airport for quite some time Our 2 for 1 Vietnam deal ended up costing way more than the advertised price. Won't use TripaDeal again, too much uncertainty about flights.

Positive experience: Returned home yesterday (4/9/24) From a Grand Japan 15 day tour. A group of 10 friends and had an amazing trip. We had no problems with TAD staff when booking. Just amazing. Negative experience: This company is where good service and decent human compassion goes to die. My parents had a Europe trip booked and when my Mother suddenly was diagnosed with terminal cancer, unable to travel, this company's policies and people seemingly coordinated to make any possible avenue of recourse impossible. We experienced inconsistent service, differing information from different staff and zero help when we were struggling to jump through the transfer, hardship or cancellation hoops on a time crunch. Negative experience: Dont buy a 2 4 1 tripdeal, it maybe cheap but we are finding out the hard way , the flights must be super cheap & you have 3 flights and over 20 hours of travelling time contact trip a deal and get a sassy salty person who couldn't care or offer any assistance or help. They have their money so couldn't care less . We will be making sure everyone is aware of this and warning people, we were happy to pay extra to change but they wouldn't even try t work with us. Positive experience: Price was good. Service rubbish. Being close to 2m tall, I’m happy to pay extra for a seat. Can’t be done and zero reply from TripADeal when I wanted help. I can phone Vietnam for extra baggage. I’m also ineligible to buy an upgrade. Vietnam airlines were excellent and the local tour companies have been great. A little help initially would have been great. That’s what usually makes booking through a travel agency better than doing it yourself.

Positive experience: 2-for-1 Unbeatable Japan Good value with an awesome tour guide!Single person travelling on the 2-for-1 Unbeatable Japan that left Australia 11 July 2024 The best things about the tour? - it was priced aligned to the offering (economy flight seats that you cant upgrade, basic but VERY CLEAN hotels with rooms that you can upgrade) - Daniela Shiga (Tour guide) was simply fantastic. She was funny, very accommodating, helpful in every way, you just had to ask! Daniela was able to connect with Westerners, quite often tour companies forget that travellers want to make friends, with the tour group & more so with the guides. Daniela is a clear standout compared to other guides on a global scale! - Mr Kanda our bus driver was not only an amazingly safe driver but was also able to connect to every person on the bus, he too should be commended! He worked well with Daniela to plan in all of the locations, stops & food! - The tour locations were great! Some places i had not known the name but when i arrived to see them, i was over the moon. - included was flights, accomodation, bus transfers, train, short boat ride, entry into ticketed tours as listed. - the optional tours! I chose this tour as i (& the majority of my group) love the optional tours. A few tips: - carry coins & change for the shops as some places dont take cards - pack a fan & water - be prepared for lots of walking - Consider doing so research for places you may want to visit that isn’t on the itinerary & its likely you can plan it in - Apps like Didi (cheaper than Uber) are helpful when you’re during free time. The rail network is also quite easy once you understand the layout. - If you’re wanting to make changes, eg make your own way home, you can (at your own expense) or upgrading your room (same hotel)

Negative experience: Highlights of Vietnam trip, accommodation was terrible, supposedly 4 star. I would say 3 star at best. The boat trip, room leaked and covered in black mould. Accommodation was far from city away from restaurants and shops need to organize taxi all the time. Dietary requirements (glute free) we're not looked after the hotels or airlines weren't notified even though was reassured before leaving. If you have dietary requirements please make sure, you add them to your flight details chance's are tripadeal have not.

Negative experience: IN REGARDS TO YOUR RESPONSE, I FIND THAT INCORRECT. THE TRIP IS OVER 6 MONTHS AWAY AND YOUR TELLING ME “YOUR TEAM TRY TO FIND THE MOST DIRECT FLIGHTS” ? Two for one, customer service is not very pleasant to deal with or helpful, they find the cheapest flights which should generally take 9 hours direct where Trip A Deal’s “flights” is 15 hours and 3 legs. I dare look at the accomodation which I’m preparing to be disappointed. This is a trip to India and Sri Lanka. Basically you get what you pay for. Positive experience: Went on a 18 day Europe trip with Tripadeal, meet great people and their schedules were great. The hotels are basic, but quite good and all places had breakfast included which is a plus. I would definitely NOT recommend the optional dinner, the restaurants owners were beyond confused about us showing up on both occasions and our tour guides weren’t with us they just went absolutely ballistic, the food was below expected especially for the amount you’re paying, you’re better off just having dinner on your own and catching an Uber. I also would NOT recommend the MSC excursions, they are extremely overpriced and a lot of people had to catch public transport back to the cruise.

It was fairly chaotic arriving in Shanghai having to navigate our way from the International airport to Domestic for our flight to Beijing, all the signage was in Chinese and nobody spoke any English, there was no direction to a transit lane. Our Beijing hotel, where we spent 3 nights was set in a resort and was lovely and very peaceful to return to after each day of touring. The itinerary was excellent although it was very fast paced and there is a lot of walking. The Tour Guides are excellent and very well organised. Charlie in Beijing, Rocky at Xian and especially Kevin on the last leg from Hangzhou and the 3 days in Shanghai. As I have hip and knee problems I asked my tour guides to arrange for a wheelchair and someone to wheel me (additional cost) but well worth it to see Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City and at Xian for the Terracotta Warriors. The Great Wall was amazing to see and it was thrilling to do a short part of it. Others in our group made it to stage 9 and some to stage 12. We enjoyed, the Golden Mask performance and the pedicab tour of the Hutongs, also the Shaolin Kung Fu tour in Zhengzhou and the Temple and Pagoda Forest, the visit to the Silk Factory and the visit to the Tea Plantation. Shanghai was a wonderful experience although it rained during the night cruise on the river. We loved the French Quarter, very buzzy and lots of little restaurants. It was lovely walking along the Bund, looking at all the old Colonial buildings and a visit to the Peace Hotel, with its beautiful Art Deco interior and lots of history from its 1930’s heyday. We had lunch at Lost Heaven on the Bund which had been recommended by friends. We even made our way back to our hotel in the Jiading area on the metro.

Negative experience: UPDATE : I FORGOT TO MENTION …. “I WAS THROWN OFF THE TRIP FOR COMPLAINING TO OUR TOUR GUIDE (OSAMA ). “ Dropped off the bus just outside of Luxor and escorted by 2 Egyptian co workers in a small sedan , for a 3 hour drive to the last stop in Hurgarda, where we stayed until our return to Cario. AND THE SAD PART IS, IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOU SAY TO TRIP A DEAL, THEY DONT CARE … AND SURPRISE, SURPRISE… they put a positive spin on everything. Trip a Deal “2 for 1” Egypt deal …. Let’s get straight to the Nile River cruise….. a romantic twin sail boat down the Nile ? …enter the boat via a dusty paddock ,on to the muddy river bank, up the ramp with no rails to hang on to, no fridge in room, no constant air conditioning as the boats generators can only charge half the time, no cold beer or water (ice was supplied on last day into the community fridge/freezer on deck)… charged for water to the room…. Basic,basic,basic meals…..couldn’t open windows in rooms as they had no insect screens….And don’t complain to the TRIP A DEAL guide ….. AND don’t worry about sailing down the Nile, as a tug boat was used to tow us from one place to another….. LIKE THE BROCHURE….. NO !!!

Fantastic experience: Returned yesterday from the Grand Japan Tour and it was fabulous, my only regret is that it didn't go for longer. The itinerary was great, the countryside and cultural sites were sublime, the people so welcoming and polite, and our tour guide, Kayoko, was simply 5 out of 5!! She not only went above and beyond for me, but also for many others on the tour. I cannot thank her enough! Please note there are several "optional tour days" which you can sign up to do once on tour. As a couple, we spent just under $1000 AUD on these but, taking into consideration the cost of the overall tour, it was absolutely not an issue, and money very well spent. We loved every moment! Highly recommend this tour to anyone of any age although, if you have mobility issues, please note there is some walking involved. LOVED IT!!!!!

Negative experience: This company appears shinier than what they are. Do not expect them to assist with any changes you need after you have paid thousands towards a trip of a lifetime. They were unwilling to allow us to extend our holiday, even though the airline had no issue. They did not disclose the final date for making such flight changes and asked we contact a few weeks prior to departure which we did. Our trip wasn’t 10 days it was 6 days - 4 days transit, often travelling full days on a bus arriving late at night at checkpoints. Group bookings were split up between two tours, and families split up on allocated plane seats, Now more recently the 120,000 qantas points won’t be honoured because of an incorrect number provided upon booking, which no one from TripADeal advised us of!!! An Inflexible and unaccommodating business, I can not recommend! Read the fine print and do not expect compassion or understanding!

Fantastic experience: Just finished a 15 day tour of Japan with Tour Guide Rose have to say except for cold weather slowing the Cherry Blossoms in Tokyo we did get to see in Osaka everything was amazing and great value for money. Positive experience: I have recently returned from the 2 for 1 Warriors of China. (18-28 March) We saw a lot and it’s a very busy trip with lots of time spent travelling. Our first guide Nina in Beijing (except she called us her babies!) and the last one Kevin in Shanghai were the best. Unfortunately one of our guides ‘Mountain’ in Zhengzhou was very sick coughing and hacking and it was extremely difficult to understand him. We think he had Covid and I believe he should not have been working. Several members of our tour group became sick and 2 have already tested positive to Covid. The hotels were very comfortable and the one we had just outside Beijing was wonderful with its private hot spring spa. Wonderful after a day of travelling. We did not arrive from Australia until 2am and we were off on our first tour at 8.30 with 12km of walking Tiananmen Square etc. This was too much after a long flight. It would have been better to arrive the day before. I did feel the guides were quite pushy with the optional tours but we were happy to skip a couple of them to have time to chill out. Unfortunately I experienced food poisoning on day 2 and ended up in a wheelchair to be able to see the Terracotta Warriors. (An extra $60 but needed as I was so weak from vomiting I couldn’t walk far) But apart from all that I did have a good time. The Great Wall was amazing and I also enjoyed Shanghai. We did our own thing in Shanghai enjoying Nanging shopping street and side trips to bookstores, art shops and a modern art gallery. The night cruise in Shanghai was fabulous. On the whole the trip was well organised and our group bonded well. My 21 year old granddaughter was the youngest but 2 other young people in their 20s were with their mums so the 3 connected which was nice. I think I would like to see more rural life on a trip to China. This trip was all huge cities. The older parts of the cities I enjoyed most - hutong visit to a family, canal boat rides on the lakes, with weeping willows and blossoms. I found the beds very comfortable and the hotels of a high standard for the price. Buffet breakfasts are incredible!

Negative experience: I am sorry to be writing this review. This is our second trip with TAD. The first tour was to Vietnam and it was fabulous! This time it was to Nepal and India with extension to Varanassi. Firstly, flight times are not suitably booked, resulting in enduring long layovers, no option to stay in our hotel until transfer to airport, which on our recent trip was a 12 hour gap. When we were transferred to the airport, we still had 7 hours sitting and waiting. We had to really ‘fight’ for even the minimal extension at the hotel. We actually paid out of our own pocket to stay in the hotel on our last day to avoid sitting in the hotel foyer for hours waiting. If we were to total the time wasted sitting in hotel foyers for extended hours waiting to be transferred to the airport, and again sitting for extended times in airport lounges, it would total around 4 days of our total trip. TAD can do better than that and the situation is not good enough! It took us 11 hours to drive 260kms from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The road is like a goat track due to roadworks, in some instances worse, resulting in one very uncomfortable trip and one seriously wasted day. As a result, our group decided to fly back to Kathmandu afterwards at our own expense rather than endure the awful journey back by road, also to avoid.another wasted day. Pokhara is worth a visit for sure, but please dont even consider it until the roadworks are completed, which will be at least 2 years at this stage. Hotels were as expected and most were good. I posted many photos of our trip in social media. I had a few friends wanting to book the trip as a result. I told them to by all means book a trip to this destination, but not with TAD. Also tipping should not be made to feel compulsory or pressured, as it was during our tour. Our guides were good, Kamal and Mr Jain, both of whom made our trip great on their days with us. I gave 2 stars at least as the itinerary is really good and we enjoyed the places visited. Sadly, since Qantas has become involved with TAD, the personalised approach we once received no longer exists.

Negative experience: Not pleased at all with the way TripADeal handled the itinerary for my travels. They repeatedly allocated the Qantas Frequent Flyer Points to the main traveler although the secondary traveler had provided the QFF details. When I called Elle from TripADeal, she was not helpful at all and was rude saying that 'nothing can be done'. From a customer service point of view, I'd give 1 out of 10 for this service. Will certainly NOT use TripADeal for any of my future travel and neither will I recommend this company to anyone.

Negative experience: This is the worst travel agent to book a trip with. The staff is unhelpful, tickets abd itinerary with hotels is not released to us. So if you need ticket details for say eg. CHINA. You cannot apply for visa till they release your full trip details. Even though you paid the money in full months I advance. The other thing is if you want to amend any names etc before the tickets are sent out. They won't let you and ask for $800 for name change. So we would never ever fly or book with these people. They are the worst.

Negative experience: Thinking of a holiday with Trip-A-Deal – Be Careful. My husband and I recently did the Trip-A-Deal Grand India tour. While this tour looks great on paper, it is very rushed and poorly organised. One of the issues is with internal flights the group are dropped at the airport and left, hoping that the flight is on time and hasn’t been cancelled, a problem we faced when departing Delhi for Varanasi. Also, the internal flight baggage information given by Trip-A-Deal was incorrect, costing many of the group extra money for overweight bags. Another major issue is the bus transport, which is used constantly throughout the tour. Some of the buses are completely unroadworthy and others were too small to accommodate the luggage for a group of 22 people. Also, Trip-A-Deal wasn’t concerned about accommodating a group of Aussie tourists at a dry hotel on the last night of the tour – the one night everyone was looking forward to having a farewell drink together. In addition, this hotel was in the middle of nowhere, so there were no alternate venue options where we could get together. In addition, there was no air-conditioning in the dining room or reception area of the hotel and at this time of year it was extremely hot and uncomfortable. While Trip-A-Deal holidays are reasonably priced – what you get for your money might not be what you’re expecting. For us, this was first and will be the last time with this company.

Negative experience: My father in law booked the Grand Japan 14 day tour Japan TripADeal for the whole family. We felt the tour was quite rushed and a lot of the "optional tours" were literally just quick cash grabs and not included in the tour itself. Half the tour we ended up having quite a few "free days" without the tour guide. We had Sylvia as our tour guide who seemed friendly at first but things started to get sour towards the end of the trip when she was asking all of the tour guests for tips which she stated as "service fee". Guests were all given an envelope with their names on to ask for feedback of the tour and to provide a tip with a specific amount written on the back the back of the envelope. Feedback should have an option to be anonymous and tips should be whatever amount the guest feels comfortable and able to give. The TripADeal itinerary even states tips should be at the guests discretion and we should not feel intimidated. My wife and I definitely felt very uncomfortable as this is the first time someone has approached us for tips in Japan as our understanding is that Japan has a non tipping culture. My wife and I have been to Japan a handful of times and we love visiting the country due to workers always taking care and pride in what they do to provide exceptional service. Never have I ever been relentlessly approached by someone for tips to the point it was harassment. On the last day of the tour we explained to Sylvia our tour guide that we only converted and brought enough Japanese Yen to allow for food and shopping. We were not expecting to be asked for tips especially for an amount equating to around $300 AUD for a tour that we didn't even participate for half of it due to numerous free days and "optional tours". In the end we just gave whatever we could spare in our wallets and put into the envelope along with the feedback form she provided us. Sylvia opened the envelope and then approached us almost immediately at our breakfast table in the hotel and said we did not give "enough". She made up some poor excuse saying that these tips are also for bus driver and that we will need to do some explaining to him if we are not going to give more which I found didn't make any sense since that bus driver was no longer with us and was on a different tour already. We felt she was really trying to shake more money out of us as she told us to go withdraw from the ATM as other guests have done it or give her Australian Dollars if we did not have any JPY left. Very disgusting behaviour especially when we already told her we legitimately have no more money as we did not expect this "service fee". She then approached my father in law and hinted in their conversation to "top up" our tip and reemphasised that he we may have problems with the bus driver due to the amount we gave. After hearing this I was prepared to make my own way to the airport via public transport if "issues" arose with the bus drive. Funny enough the bus driver taking us to the airport was a completely different person as mentioned previously. It made it sound like she was just trying her luck to get more money out of us. I definitely won't be recommending TripADeal to anyone based on this experience. This tour unfortunately ruined this whole Japan experience for us this time. I hope TripADeal takes this feedback seriously as I am genuinely concerned that some of the mature aged tour guests are getting taken advantage of or feel pressured to give more than they can afford.

Fantastic experience: Shout out to our China 10 day Tour guides JZ and Lisa. Such a great experience. It was a shame to hear that a large group in the tour did not tip our tour guides. JZ and Lisa were on their feet constantly during our trip and going above and beyond to ensure our stay was a great time. Negative experience: We used Trip a Deal to visit Japan in Nov 23 and we won't be booking another with Trip a Deal if it includes airfares. The airlines and routes selected were ridiculous. We already had to arrange our own accommodation and flights to Sydney in order to be there a day before then they had us flying to Kuala Lumpur 8.5hrs then a 5hr layover before another flight from KL to Narita 8hrs overnight...when a direct flight would have been much simpler and without travel fatigue. Many on the trip had the same complaints some went via China! The confirmation time of 4-6 weeks prior is also not sufficient when particularly as in my case we needed to book accommodation and flights to Sydney. The cruise was fantastic but I could have booked that myself and accommodation selected was suitable although again not knowing where in Tokyo til a few weeks before was annoying when you want to plan your free days. Flights definitely let the company down and for this reason we would only book with them again if we booked and paid for our own flights. In response to Trip a deals reply. The details quoted re flights were...."Full Service Airline(s) Used Japan Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines or code share partners (subject to availability)." The devil is in the details as they say. Look carefully at which companies they offer. In our situation if they had said Qantas flying from Melbourne the flight would have been 10.5hrs and approx $400 more. I expect even if we had chosen to fly from Melbourne they would still have had us flying to Sydney first to then take their "cheaper non direct" flights. As for scheduling etc....we paid in Nov and in the Feb asked about being able to log into the cruise to book shore tours...they emailed the cruise details immediately and also sent the tickets for the flights. The flights had obviously been secured by Trip a Deal in bulk when the deal was first offered. Again I would only consider Trip a Deal if I had the option of selecting my own flights or paying the extra for direct flights as in my instance the extra cost was minimal compared to the awful flights and travel fatigue suffered.

Negative experience: I never got Qantas frequent flyer points added to my QFF account and still haven't resolved for the trip I took in November 2022 and October 2023, I was told the QFF points will be added to QFF account after 4 to 6 weeks when the trip is completed but this is never happened, very disapointed with QFF points service.

Fantastic experience: There are very few words that can describe the wonder and amazement about this short but sweet trip to Japan. Our guide Rajesh and our bus driver were both awesome and the trip was amazing. We even got to have free days where we got to do our own thing. I am hoping in future to book the 20 day one through these guys again. Please be mindful that my friend and are in our youth (sorta) so if you are slightly struggling with legs, or pain, it is best to go with the optional tour so you can have assistance.

Negative experience: We went on a trip for the above trip, (casenum: 582611) Proceeded to give the Qantas frequent flyer Card at the airport upon check in, the check attendant working for Malaysia airline informed that they were un-available to be redeemed. we booked this ticket in the hopes of also getting the gift provided by trip a deal, we contacted the customer service team and was informed that it we are unable to re-deemed the points as we trip has passed. when we booked another trip with china discovery, together alongside with the japan & korea discovery trip and was able to redeem the frequent flyer points with china eastern. Overall, we are very disappointed with the service provided by the customer service team and also the Malaysia airline team. Refund issue (582507) I have accidentally over payed and it will take the customer service team 60 days, before i am able to get a refund, extremely disappointed. Customer service is non existant, we made a complaint since November, (case num 00501283) which is handled by Tracee, and have not been contacted by any of the team and currently still open

Negative experience: I am a member of Qantas so I get the option to book through Trip A Deal. I booked a hotel from them in Gold Coast and it was actually expensive than the competitive websites. They post the inclusions as if they are great but it is something that is very basic and not worth it at all. The hotel I booked was 5 star and it was so not good at all. The feedback also does not matter. I contacted the team to provide exact details of hotels on deals when they say 4 star etc. and they did not give the name and said it changes. I have been following their website to plan my new trip and I also noticed how they fool the customers. It is the same deal that every few days comes with a different offer- like 2 for 1 deal, Christmas special offer, more Qantas points, 50% or more discounts etc. But the price is the same infact and the inclusions too. I will not recommend booking hotels and trips from Trip A Deal. My experience has been very poor.

Negative experience: It’s majority owned by Qantas so that’s not a good start. I have booked a deal to Korea. I am flying Qantas but can’t select a seat online. I ring TripADeal and they say call Qantas. I rang Qantas and they say call TripADeal. Seems the left doesn’t know what the right is doing. They may be worth avoiding. Positive experience: My sisters and I just spent 10 days in Japan (with 3 extra days as an early arrival add-on) organised by TripADeal! We had such a great time, ate some awesome food and saw the beauties of Japan. The tour was impressively organised and flowed quite smoothly with thanks of our experienced tour guide - Aiko (I think from Destination Japan), and expert driver Abi-San! It was good to not have to plan further itineraries as we knew we would be seeing beautiful sights as it was included in the schedule. Aiko was such a great addition to our group and provided us updates along the way, as well as sharing her knowledge, she knows so much about Japan and I cannot thank her enough. She expertly adjusted our timetable based on previous experience with tour groups, and what activities she knew we would enjoy more so that we could spend more time there. This aspect of the tour was a 10/10. Please pass on this feedback to her and Abi-San! Thank you for a trip of a lifetime, we had a blast and met some lovely people from all around Australia too. A number of things to improve on - I think more on the ground work needs to be done in terms of the schedule, as most of the time is eaten up by traffic, and the transits are trying to cover a large amount of ground to fit in everything on the itinerary. Realistically, we spent no more than 1.5 hours (only 45 minutes at Mt Fuji 5th Station) at each location, but at times travelled up to 3/4 hours to get there. I think a few of us in the tour were taken aback about how much time (sometimes, 6 hours travel time on a bus) would be eaten up. Perhaps there needs to be removal of some stops all together to reduce the transit, or more transparency! The flight times could definitely be improved, Unfortunately, our trip from Adelaide to Haneda included two 7-8 hour flights and a 6 hour layover in Singapore, which used up one of our days. On the last day, the airport transfer was booked with others so we spent 5 hours at the airport waiting for our flight (which took up another one of our travel days). Even more so, our trip home from Japan included a 7.5 h hour flight, 4 hour layover in Singapore, another 8 hour flight to Sydney, and then a 4 hour layover in Sydney, which Virgin delayed, and then cancelled. I don’t understand how this was not a direct flight from Singapore to Adelaide. This was very stressful as initially Virgin stated they would not help anyone with the costs of an overnight stay. TripADeal was also not able to help us with much when contacted on this day. It would have been a 5 star review had it not been for the long layovers and turn of events on our trip home. We ended up staying the night in Sydney and they rebooked us on a next day flight from Sydney to Melbourne (30min layover, 1.5 flight, and then another flight to Adelaide (1hr), this was then again delayed with only a 5 minute layover and we had to sprint to our next gate to be able to get home, over 24 hours later than expected. I think in future, reducing layovers (which would reduce the risk of cancelled flights) and improving communication would be appreciated by TripADeal customers and improve the overall experience! The tour was good, but the flight experience was poor due to the unnecessarily long wait times. All in all, thank you again and I hope you take into consideration my feedback and I am more than happy to discuss further if needed. Theresa

Positive experience: I have just returned from 20 Day Ultimate Japan tour. The itenary was superior but our tour leader Mohini was a major fail. I complained how embarrassing for Tripadeal to host a Welcome Dinner at an American fast food diner in Tokyo on our first evening. She laughed in my face. I would like to think Tripadeal would select a reputable Japanese restaurant to showcase its cuisine as a teaser. I left the group and paid for a lovely meal in a different restaurant of my choice. I felt Mohini is inexperienced dealing with Australian tourists and lacking in direction to recommend dining suggestions at each and every destination. Mohini literally said 'we eat here' with no further info. As a single traveler I paid a supplement for my trip. I was outraged when boarded the overnight ferry to Osaka to be informed I was downgraded to a a cabin without an ensuite toilet and shower. I confronted Mohini with the issue. She spoke with the captain of the ferry who assured that the accommodation onboard was fully booked.. With issue unresolved, Mohini rushed off behind closed doors as I threaten to disembark. She returned with keys to a cabin with an ensuite magically without approuching the pursuers desk. Yes, I have trust issues with with our tour leader. She intimidated several members of the group for gratuities on the way to the airport on the last day. You have very many disgruntled guests.

Negative experience: Just came back from Azerbaijan-Armenia-Georgia trip. Itinerary 5 stars, Trip A Deal itself, 2 stars. Only one person of my travelling party was sent the official feedback form to complete which is a shame because we have differrent ideas on feedback. They mentioned there was a chance to receive a credit for competing the survey but i guess they'd like to welcome back only one person. Zero customer service from trip a deal, unable to separate Qantas frequent flyer points between each travelling party in the same booking (whereas other travel companies can), absolutely woeful flight connections - flying to Baku, we flew 2.5 hours passed it to land in Istanbul and then had to fly 2.5 hours back. After a long day of travelling, this is the last thing we want. Similarly, from Tbilisi we flew west (away from the direction of Sydney) to get back to Sydney (plus an 11 hour layover in Singapore). Flights aren't available for us to see until 4-6 weeks before trip which is very hard to submit the proper annual leave dates at work with that amount of notice. They need to be made available much earlier for this reason. Please offer land-only options!

Fantastic experience: I recently booked a trip with Tripadeal and was dealing with Genaro Fraticelli. He was brilliant as a consultant. I am so pleased that I just dealt with one consultant rather than ringing the Tripadeal number and just talking to a different person each time. I have done this in the past and they were all very good but I found dealing with Genaro was like having my own personal consultant who did go over and above to help me get just what I wanted. Particularly when I had booked one trip and another trip came out 3 days later which was more like what we wanted. When I contacted Genaro, about changing the trip, nothing was a problem. He handled everything and kept me well informed. Now that's what I call service. If he said he would ring me at a certain time nominated by me, that's when he rang me. Infact Genaro has been more helpful than my regular travel agent that I have used for other trips with great prompt communication either by email or phone. I cannot speak highly enough of the service he provided and I shall definitely be looking at buying other Tripadeals if that's the level of service I'm going to get along with a value for money deal.

Negative experience: Beware!!!! We are still a month away from going on our trip and the customer service already received is very poor indeed….they think it is totally acceptable to book your flight to arrive at midnight on Day 1, so by the time you actually get off the flight it will have clicked over to Day 2, and by time you collect bags and then make your way to hotel, you might be lucky to get 2-3hrs sleep and then be expected to be up and ready to start your tour that very same morning, who does this?
