Negative experience: TL:DR I will only ever use Webjet as a site to compare airfares. And I will never purchase insurance again! I booked non-refundable (cheaper) flights through webjet for international travel from Brisbane to Wellington. I thought I was doing the smart thing by booking insurance for emergencies. A couple of days out and my son came down with a cold. Being conscientious citizens, we got a RAT test - my son tested positive for RSV. I contacted Webjet who advised that they couldn’t provide a refund but would cancel the flights; we could then lodge an insurance claim. My son went downhill quick and developed pneumonia from the RSV; I took him to the Dr for a course of antibiotics. Dr gave us a letter stating my son had contracted RSV and wasn’t fit for travel. We lodged the insurance claim with Dr certificate and three months later been advised our claim is rejected because we did not see a Dr before we cancelled our flights as it states in their insurance policy. Technically, yes that is correct - would it have changed the outcome; no. If it is just too hard to work through a claim process only to have it denied because they’re not in the business of common sense, then it’s just too hard to part with my money to give to insurance. I’d rather save for transferrable flights than waste my time and money on Webjet..

Negative experience: Webjet are quick to take your money but not at all quick at helping when there's a problem. I booked flights, hotel and travel insurance through Webjet and was due to fly at 7.00am the day that Rex went into administration. I had to book another flight with Virgin, which I also did through Webjet. Later I contacted Webjet to ask if I was due a refund for the cancelled flight or how to make an insurance claim. They said to wait. 4 months later, nothing. I made another booking with Webjet this morning and it reminded me about the Rex issue - their advice was to contact the airline directly, which is totally passing the buck. So, the mental toll of being bounced around overseas call centres for hours on end is hardly worth the amount of refund due. On review and to save my sanity I'll choose a different travel agent next time.

Negative experience: Please book your tickets directly from the flight provider to avoid the frustration with the agent if you can. Please avoid having Virgin credit on Webjet system if you don't want to waste more money. Very poor communication and clarity. I have a $500 credit expire on 31 Oct. I tried to book return flights Melb-Sydney on 30 and 31, and then Webjet requested me to pay an additional $658.49 to complete the booking. Meanwhile, the flights on the same date and time are worth less than $500 on the Webjet website. It is ridiculous, and it seems like I was forced to lose my $500 credit, or I have to use credit and pay an additional $658.49.

Negative experience: DO NOT use Webjet !!!!! I booked flights to Bali in Feb this year to fly out in Sept ...Two weeks before flying I checked my flight OD9118 and there was no flight with that number flying out on my date, so contacted WEBJET ,they assured me saying your flight is still flying !!!! A week before I checked again and still no flight OD9118 is flying to Bali contacted WebJet AGAIN to get " I don't know where your getting you info from !! Positive experience: OK we are heavy users of this particular company's services, and about a month ago there was some kind of glitch on their website, and it nearly drove me to Expedia, and in one last attempt I tried to complain on their website. Got a chatbot. This annoyed me even further. So I unloaded on the chat, very angry and a bit rude. Well! I got a personal call back from two people and an email from another and they were not bad English speaker in Manila, they were managers. They fixed it, and were so friendly and helpful and now everything is better. I am impressed. And sorry I got angry.

Fantastic experience: can't speak for others experience but webjet just took an hour out of their day to sort a mistake that i made at no charge whatsoever. i had booked 4 routes on separate airlines in one go and had accidentally booked one flight to land 2 hours AFTER the last flight was supposed to go - totally my own lack of attention to detail. they called me a few times, my phone filtered them out as spam so i didn't receive the call. they were diligent enough to call the secondary passenger, and they called again when they said they would, after i removed their number from the spam registry. they offered 2 alternatives that resolved the issue and with ease and great helpful attitude, allowed me to select the alternative at no extra charge. she was friendly and expressed genuine concern that one alternative might be more risky than the other, even suggesting a more relaxing option - almost like i had a personal travel agent for an hour there. really pleased with this service, online ticket sales services are known for charging as much as they can at any given opportunity, so for them to dedicate manpower and time to help me fix my own mistake at no cost was very refreshing, really good work guys, 5/5 customer service.

Negative experience: Awful costumer service when there is a problem! It is surprising that I see this rate here, 3.7! It is absolutely fake and too high for Webjet! We booked our 2024 Christmas trip with them then needed to cancel it for some medical reasons. It is July and we are still having drama with Webjet for our cancellation and getting refund and flight credit back and still not successful! It is interesting to see other customers had the same problem with Webjet in the reviews! I wish I could give them 0/5! No transparency, no help, kind of stealing your money! I lost around $600 for trusting them! Frustrating! You don’t!

Negative experience: Flights booked 9 months in advance cancelled due to illness - credit had to be used within 12 months of original purchase so only 3 mths left and then the rebooking fee was $99 per person each way. The credit was for $179 each! Name change to transfer the credit was another $99 each. So $700 wasted. It took them over a week to respond - I wonder how long it would have taken for them to just change the name in a computer and make the credit useful? They blamed Virgin, Virgin blamed Webjet. In what other industry can you charge a $99 fee to change the name on a document?

Negative experience: Steer well clear of Webjet. My wife and l booked flights through them, due to covid airline cancelled flights. It has taken 4 years of phone calls and emails to recieve our refunds. They initially said no refund. You are dealing with phillipine call service and no one in Australia. Just a big con. Negative experience: I recently booked 2 flights on Alaska Airlines through Webjet and received 6-digit confirmation code, however when I went to check-in to my flight at the Airport, I was informed I did not have a ticket. I then spent an hour on webjet support chat messaging while they confirmed that even though they had charged my card and generated confirmation number, they had not booked me a ticket and so they would refund me. Luckily there were still seats available on the flight and I was able to rebook and pay directly with airline otherwise I would have been stranded at the airport. From now on I will only be using webjet to search for available flights and will then book directly with airline.

Negative experience: I would recommend not to go with them. In my case last year i booked a flight for my parents they said you did a name mistake in tickets you parents can't board flight then they cancel it rebook and charge me again 2900 australian dollars which is ridiculous and they said will refund the last money to u within 12 weeks since around 10 months i haven't received my money back. Negative experience: Another disaster customer service experience from Webjet. Still dealing with my postponed covid flights. We have an itinerary rebooked with 6 flights for June 2024. Qantas changed flight 5 timeframe which made flight 6 not doable. Instead of fixing this, webjet just left it it as is. We wont even make the boarding cutoff. After 1 hour 40 minutes on a chat, the person tells me they have to change the entire itinerary and instead of going to Darwin at the start of our trip, we would have to fly to Perth. What a joke. All for a simple change of a Sydney to Melbourne flight from 630pm to 730pm. She said the system would not allow her to do just one change without altering the whole itinerary. Isn't that what webjet are offering as a model. They are the biggest joke of a company i have ever seen. Why cant you give 0 stars.

Negative experience: Webjet are thieves And crooks. We booked $3000 in flights with insurance and I was hospitalised a week before our trip and required surgery. Provided medical certificates. 7 months on and webjet have not paid us back and continue to deflect and hang up on us . Both Qantas and jetstar gave the full refund to webjet straight away and we have not received a cent. Next step is fair trading. Beware. You are better off booking direct through the airlines.

Negative experience: If you've bought a ticket from webjet and have an emergency causing you to cancel your flight, webjet staff will re assure you that you can transfer your ticket for a later date. DO NOT BELIEVE IT. THEY MAKE IT SO HARD TO DO THAT. AT BEST YOU'LL HAVE TO WAIT 12 WEEKS BEFORE YOU GET WORD BACK. THIS TIME THEY LEAD ME TO BELIEVE I HAD UNTILL THE 30TH OF DECEMBER AT THE START OF MY APPLICATION FOR A NEW TICKET. 24 HOURS LATER THEY CHANGED THAT TO THE 28TH OF OCTOBER. I MISSED OUT. Negative experience: Worst website don’t recommend at all people. I booked a flight on 9th of October everything went well until 1st of November when it was time to bored I got to know that Webjet reserved my ticket but never paid full price they sent me an eticket but airline said that it has been cancelled as they have not received any payment for it and it was cancelled on 12 th of October I had to rebook flight at the airport again plus their staff refused to be sure about the refund or paying the other ticket. Worst agents I ever had to deal with won’t recommend them at all. Please people don’t waste your money here.

I got to the airport and no ticket because we jet hadn’t paid for my seat so it was cancelled. Basically you pay webjet they don’t pay thd airline in time and cancel your ticket!!!! Fantastic experience: I have ongoing good experience with Webjet as their price guarantee strategy helps to avoid sudden change in prices due to volatility of nature of airfares. I had experience where I purchased tickets worth 900 AUD which increased up to 2600 AUD in pandemic, but Webjet organized it easily over the chat with the guaranteed price of 900 AUD. Such a nice service. Recommend.

Fantastic experience: Website is great, very easy to navigate. After surfing a few online sites I found Webjet was a lot smoother especially with navigating multi city flights. Other sites seem very clunky and tend to fail on searches based on airport locations. Overall very happy very happy and looking forward to the next trip!

Negative experience: Don't be tempted to use Webjet. I booked with Webjet and when it came to to return home, there was no e-ticket number attached to my flight booking for the return flight. I booked my wife and children in the same booking and theirs were fine. I rang Webjet and was told there was nothing they could do and all they offered was to cancel my flight and refund it. I then had to book last minute flights myself to travel with my family and pay double the price. Webjet took no responsibility for this and do not care that I had to pay over $400 extra to book new flights. Unbelievably bad customer service and I will make sure I spread the word far and wide not to use Webjet

Fantastic experience: Very easy to search and book flights. All flight information and relevant details were available on the main screen by simply hovering over icons no need to open additional screens and go back and forth, very user friendly

Fantastic experience: I initially tried to book through another party and when reading the quote they sent I was shocked they booked us in to the wrong hotel then put us on a return flight from cairns to Newcastle via Melbourne. Looked up Webjet booked it all in myself and ahead it all done in 10min. Go Webjet
