Fantastic experience: I booked flights to Thailand with Singapore airlines through Flight Centre at Kotara. It was the second time Flight Centre organised flights for us and did it beautifully; smooth, drama free professional and helpful experience. My 84 year old mum requires wheelchair support. Flight centre booked that for her too. It was a great help when we had a quick 45 min connection to make. All in all a great experience and we will book again with Flight centre Kotara.

Negative experience: Do not expect any help if things go wrong with flight changes - no communication what so ever Do not expect any help if you’re entitled to refund from airlines you will be brushed off. Recently went overseas with my mrs and. 1 yr old. Booked with morgan. Absolutely no help we were told our seats had been removed from the flight .. morgan didnt even respond to us for over a week… We were welll and truely settled in europe. Then when asking for some type of closure on the way back.. no response for another 2 weeks… The reason we booked with a travel agent is to have some sort of security when traveling with a 1 year old baby … they could not care less once you give them your money.. Now we are awaiting refunds for paid extra leg room during flights.. and getting the run around “ ive emailed them waiting for a response - its been a week…”still no response” Spend your money elsewhere
Hi Joseph, sorry to see you're not happy with your experience. Unfortunately, seating requests are always made on a request basis, as airlines do have the ability to detach seating requests from any booking if they deem necessary as you have mentioned. Flight Centre is bound by these airline conditions, just as a customer would be if booking direct.
The global standard, across all airlines, is that in order for a customer to sit in an exit row, they must be able to assist in the case of an emergency, so unfortunately a 1-year-old would be considered not able to assist - which would be why the airline has detached your seating. Fantastic experience: From our very first email to the Flight Centre to ask about our holiday I knew that my agent Salisa was the person who we needed to organise our two trips - first to America and our second to Bali. Salisa was a pleasure to deal with - no matter how many emails, questions, queries or what day or time it was Salisa was always there to help us. Our trips were perfect to at tee! Fantastic experience: Katie Hinton booked my wife's and my cruise holiday around Japan July 2024. We had a marvellous time. We believe most of this was due to the "extra mile" Katie went in order to take out any uncertainty in our trip. All bookings from flights, accommodation, transfers, to the actual cruise went without a hitch. Fantastic experience: Flight Centre has a first rate employee named Joshua Kamphuis who works in the Kotara store. From the moment we sat down with him to plan a complicated Qld trip he impressed us with his friendly professional and attentive service. His suggestions for accomodation and travel were spot on and whenever i called him with changes or queries he invariably maintained his attention to detail even though we'd already paid in full for our trip. Joshua looked after us like we were members of his family !

Negative experience: Horrible customer service. Sat and waited to be served, while the staff completely ignored us. Then greeted and served two other customers. We walked out to spend our money else where

Fantastic experience: My partner and I booked our first overseas trip together to Thailand last year with Josh from Flight Center Kotara and had such a wonderful and streamline experience that we decided to book our next trip with him again. The experience was even easier and quicker this time round, we managed to get the majority of our trip booked in one session in the span of 2.5 hours. Josh even stayed back late for us to finish our consultation. Josh is responsive with emails and keeps you in the loop if there are any expected delays in responding/organising things. He is passionate about travelling and his job, and always asks other colleagues if he thinks he can find a better answer for places that he hasn’t been to yet. Thanks for all your help Josh!

Negative experience: Unfortunatley, our experience with staffs at Flight Centre Kotara was apalling. Their lack of communication, denials, lies, ignorance & lack of empathy over a mistake their end, resulted in me having to contact Customer Relations & the case was investigated. Whatever good our holiday did for us as a family, was quickly ruined by our adverse experience with Flight Centre Kotara staffs. We were out of pocket a four figure amount for a month. To get a refund from them was near impossible. The amount of my time, energy & resending emails of proof to different staffs was awful. The Flight Centre Customer Relations escalated the urgency of our situation & were very professional, understanding & helpful. I wish I would have contacted them sooner! We will never use the Flight Centre again. It's easier & cheaper booking everything yourself. The Flight Centre reel you in, get your payment, but once something goes wrong, they don't want to know about it.

Fantastic experience: I called flight centre Kotara for assistance booking a flight for a friend with a disability to South America. I did not have time to look for appropriate flights that were suitable, as they were complex with specific visa requirements and disability assistance. I left it in the good hands of Flight centre Kotara. Roshan took my call and within no time had the perfect flights ready to go. Roshan was available to communicate with me before, during and after the initial flights took place. Due to the amazing customer service and support I directly contacted Roshan by email a couple of months later for the return flights back to Australia. Once again the professional service was outstanding and I could not thank Roshan and Flight Centre Kotara more and recommend them to anyone looking to travel.

My husband and I were feeling overwhelmed with planning our trip away, and were considering cancelling our holiday before seeking advise from your store, where a young agent helped to quickly put our minds at ease. Billiarna was an incredible help, and her generosity of time and travel knowledge exceeded the experiences I’ve previously had with travel agents. Negative experience: I booked my USA trip through Flight Centre. I spent 7 weeks constantly chasing up a refund for poor quality accommodation I never stayed at. I wouldn't recommend Flight Centre unless you want to be out of pocket

Fantastic experience: Recently had an excellent experience with a super helpful agent named Katie who really went above and beyond to help me organise my trip to the Phillipines to see my extended family! Fantastic experience: I had the absolute pleasure of being assisted by the nicest agent at flight centre, her name was Katie and she was so helpful with organising my travel to equatorial guinea. I haven't travelled much before and desperately wanted to visit the famous places there like Bioko Island and the Arena Blanca, Katie made the whole experience an absolute breeze, knew all the locations I wanted and even suggested a few more! Her attention to detail and knowledge was second to none and my trip wouldn't have been the same without her. Great job Katie and thank you flight centre.

Negative experience: Roshan Lewis I found to be the most uncaring, incompetent travel agent I have ever dealt with. She turned what I thought would be a trip of a lifetime into a nightmare. I have received a good will voucher from head office Flight Centre for the trauma she caused me, but it certainly doesnt make up for the money I lost. I find it hard to believe someone could be this incompetent and still have a job!

Fantastic experience: I went to Flight Centre at Kotara to see if we would be able to book an unplanned trip to Bali due to some time off between jobs. Katie had us on a flight 3 days later and spent lots of time helping me find the best place for us to stay and organising transfers etc. The company that did the transfers was amazing! We ended up booking a day trip with them which was incredible value for money and so much fun. Our driver was very safe and our guide, Suka (Ketut) was so knowledgeable and informative and his English was great, he also took fantastic photos of us all day! It was our first trip to Bali but based on this quick jaunt we definitely plan to go back next year. Thank you Katie so much for your help and recommendations, could not have done this without you! Negative experience: My partner and I went to Flight Centre Kotara on Thursday night on the 19th of October, around 6:15pm. I’m being specific to the time so the lady at the front desks knows this is about her. I believe her first name was Roshan. From the beginning of our interaction, it was like we were bothering her as she wrote in her diary. When my partner and I came to the front desk, she had asked how she could help. My partner asked something along the lines of ‘we have a few questions about a South Korea trip ad, it was priced around $3k, said there may be a deposit for $500, we just wanted to know more’. The lady at the front desk responded to the effect of ‘I’m not sure, I don’t know every advertisement of flight centre, could you show it to me?’. Her tone was as if we were intruding, as if this was not her job and she couldn’t help us look it up to confirm. So instead, we did her job and searched on the website of which she worked at. While my partner scrambled to find the advertisement, the front desk lady continued to write in her diary, obviously she was very busy. At this point, I couldn’t even look towards her, I did not want to disturb her diary entries. After a minute or so of awkwardly standing there while my partner looked for the trip, he briefly showed her the advertisement. She replied ‘oh okay yeah’, my partner replied ‘we were wondering if you have any trips similar to this one in Japan’. The front desk lady replied to the effect of ‘I’m not too sure what is included in that trip? You’ll have to show it to me’. As if she did not have a screen in front of her to search or even remotely help us. My partner handed over his phone, she scrolled and then looked back up at us and said ‘are you wanting something with the flights, accommodation, and tour like this one? if you’re looking for the same thing, no we don’t’. I then replied ‘maybe we can look somewhere else’. She then asked if we had any other questions. Considering it felt like we were being a hinderance to the front desk lady, my partner being very sweet replied ‘no, that’s all thank you’. The front desk lady then replied to the effect of ‘well I wish all questions were that easy’ and laughed off as if she had truly created a wonderful costumer service experience for us. However, on the contrary, she was extremely rude and not helpful. If I knew I could search on my phone for certain trips on flight centre alone to find information about flights/trips, I would have not come in person to a flight centre. However, we made the effort to come in and we had more questions we wanted to ask but the front desk lady was incapable to engage with us. I want to highlight this interaction on this review so that the lady understands how her (lack of) interaction and willingness to help us out, might help her for a moment to put away her diary and actually use the computer designated in front of her, to help us look up the trips. I suppose the only thing she did help me understand is that we can simply search online rather than take up the time of a flight centre representative.

Fantastic experience: Went to my local Kotara store recently as I had an emergency business trip I needed organised. From the instant I walked in the door, I knew I was in the right place. I was greeted by a female consultant, and as soon as I made clear how emergent the trip was, she got right to work and made the entire process very quick and easy while still taking into consideration what I needed, and that I had a tight budget to work with. From answering the phone the female customer service representative talked down to me, made me feel like I was bothering her and my requests were way too much trouble for her. Will never go back there for business or personal travel and will never recommend. Horrible experience and it only lasted 3 minutes!

Negative experience: Horrible. We booked Christmas in the USA Dec-2022 Jan- 2023 with a family of 8 including a 2 year old child. Throughout the lead up they changed us 3 different travel agents unexpectedly all I received was an automated Email each time to say our last one had left. 1 week before fly out we received a different agent again that had no idea what we wanted. From transfers and flights I did the work for them, they never looked into getting us the cheapest transfers which I looked into and got them 600 cheaper then they had quoted in which they changed the cost. This is to say the least. Once we arrived over there at the busiest time of year with 4 children under 12 NOT ONE OF OUR TRANSFERS WERE AT THE ARRIVAL from LA - NY- Hawaii. We had to contact several people each time to be picked up. We waited at newyork air port in -14 for our transport which we had to call yet again and sort out. It was shocking from start to the end. $65,000 family holiday was shambles from the minute we walked into flight centre. We wanted to do a day at Disney and a day at Disneyland adventure park which was stated very clearly and I was assured over and over again it was the 2 different ones then when we arrived we had to argue our way into the adventure park as it was booked for only Disney for 2 days. This is the Minority of the problems. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!! I have no idea how this has 5 star ratings. Good luck if you have a holiday booked/booking through them. You will need it!

Negative experience: I went into the store today for my upcoming travel and the staff was so reluctant to help. I finally just said thank you and left. I see others have faced the same issue and the owner has replied blaming covid, I think that’s so silly as we are quite past that. Anyway for those reading who were offered no help, I ended up using l best&less travel they were helpful and resolved my questions quickly. They even offered me a better deal.

Negative experience: I have been into this store twice lately to enquire about flights and obtain quotes. We will be travelling within the next 3-4 months. Needless to say, both times I have been left with the impression that the staff are not the least bit interested in travel, building client relationships, and helping create for people what are essentially memories and adventures. You will wait at the doorway for some time if they are busy. Do not expect to be greeted or acknowledged. Then, when you do finally get to speak with an agent, they will not have the slightest interest in your travel plans. They are void of personality and interpersonal skills. As far as the quotes? I can book better prices online myself. Also, if you have flight centre gift cards, you cannot use these online (Flight Centres) website, and must use in store. However do not expect the store to match THEIR OWN online prices. How Flight Centre are still in business, I have no idea.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. When someone says they’ll return your call and don’t but email the next day to say they are sorry and they aren’t in today so can’t help you at all. If I hadn’t gone to Cardiff Flight Ctre, who managed to fit me in, found the flights I was after, sorted my small problem I woul have missed the special offer for my flights. Cardiff were so helpful and professional I will be certainly be promoting their office to all of my family, friends and acquaintances in future. Negative experience: Have had a shocking experience with Kelly from Flight Centre. She's impossible to get a hold of, phones are always busy, doesn't respond to emails and has made the whole process of booking a holiday really stressful. We asked for a new agent but were told it's easier to stick with the one. Told to make a booking but you can't get on to anyone to make a booking. Edit: Can't respond immediately - we have been trying to rebook our holiday since February 2022 after a COVID cancellation.

Negative experience: This store failed to do achieve the minimum requirement of a travel agent, book you on a flight that exists on the day you want to travel. I do not recommend traveling through them. Keep reading if you want to hear how they ruined our honeymoon and failed to take accountability for it. We booked our honeymoon through Flight Centre Kotara after looking online and deciding where and what we wanted to do. The deal Flight Centre could offer was better than what we could find online so we booked through them. Ultimately we would have been better off organising the booking ourselves as it would have been cheaper. The day after our wedding we woke to a text message from Jetstar stating that our boarding gate closed in 15 minutes. We weren't supposed to travel until the following day! Safe to say this distressed us from the beginning! After an hour on the phone pleading with Jetstar (since Flight Centre wasn't open to help) we were able to move our flight to the day after we had originally intended to travel, effectively cutting our honeymoon short by a day. Jetstar also advised that after they had notified our our travel agent of the changes earlier in the year, not us, as Flight Centre had made the booking. Jetstar said these changed occurred in April, 5 months before our intended departure date. We went into Flight Centre later that day to see if they could give us a refund for the 2 nights accommodation lost (one night in sydney, one night in Fiji) where they said "silly Jetstar" and told us that they weren't able to offer us any refunds on our lost accommodation as it had already passed the due date (but they could have if they actioned their notification from Jetstar earlier). In subsequent emails from Flight Centre, we were told that our flight had change 24 hours prior to departure. However, we were told from multiple other agencies (including other Flight Centre employees who had booked the same flight for their clients!) that it had changed months before we were due to depart effectively giving Flight Centre enough time to rectify the situation by changing our travel dates before deposits were due. They have never apologised or taken accountability for their actions. Not only this but when I did try to contact them they refused to answer my emails. If you want to travel in an unorganised manner, where if something does go wrong you get ignored, then please waste your money on this company. If you feel like a relaxing holiday, where you know your travel arrangements are taken care of then I strongly advise you save your money and go elsewhere. P.S. I see there is a response saying I should reach out to the customer relations team... Funny thing is I did this prior to writing this review. Seems the only way you can get a response from a business these days is if you give them a bad Google review.

Negative experience: Customer service is terrible. Have had numerous dealings with flight centres all over the country. Apart from one in Brisbane, all come across as they are forced to organise travel and aren’t interested in assisting with travel arrangements. I have travelled all over the world and this organisation has been the worst by far. Certainly not assisted by the attitude of the female service agent I saw this morning. It was like I was a major inconvenience. Considering I was looking at a rather expensive trip to the USA and Canada, she showed little to no interest at all. Don’t wait your time with this lot.

Negative experience: We have had a terrible experience trying to book a NZ holiday with flight centre Kotara. It is so difficult to speak to anyone-no responses to emails and can't get through on phone. We were very thorough in telling staff what we wanted and mistakes were still made. We had requested and paid for extra baggage on flight there which didn't get put through so had to pay again at airport. Our return flight was booked with a completely different airline than what we were given in our itinerary and we were never told about the change. We rented a campervan and again specifically asked and paid for express drop off- this wasn't included either and had to pay again when picking up the campervan. Very dissatisfied with service from Michael (who apparently doesn't work there anymore). Very thankful for Hanna who has been amending all his mistakes.
