Negative experience: I booked a trip to Mykonos through Flight Centre for my wife and daughter to celebrate her 18th birthday. I chose Flight Centre because I expected a hassle-free experience from a reputable and experienced travel agency. Unfortunately, it was anything but. Yaz, the team leader at Airport West, personally recommended a hotel—which I trusted was carefully selected. But to my wife and daughter’s shock, they arrived in Mykonos to find the hotel completely closed for renovations. No warning, no prior notice. When I contacted Yaz for help, he passed the issue onto other departments and failed to respond to my emails in a timely manner. After multiple phone calls to Flight Centre’s hotline, we were eventually given an alternative hotel. By then, my wife and daughter had already endured hours of distress in a foreign country with no accommodation—on what was meant to be a special and memorable trip. While I understand the hotel itself (Dove Beach Hotel) did not inform Flight Centre about the renovations, what disappointed me most was Yaz’s lack of ownership or urgency in resolving the issue. Leaving two women stranded overseas without a clear plan or support is unacceptable and unprofessional. Thankfully, the Flight Centre customer liaison team later stepped in and helped resolve things—something that should have been done by Yaz from the start. Yaz, you should be ashamed of how you handled this. You did not just drop the ball—you completely abandoned the people you were meant to support.

He went above and beyond and stayed back a considerable amount of time on the last day before a public holiday long weekend to ensure our trip was all locked in. Fantastic experience: Just returned from a 3 week trip to the US and Toronto, Canada. From start to end Chris from the Airport West store was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Even when we had an issue with a domestic flight in the US he was right on it and fixed the problem straight away. We were at ease knowing that he would respond swiftly if any issue were to arise. This is the second trip I have booked with Chris at Flight Centre AP West and I wouldn’t hesitate in booking future holidays through him again.

Fantastic experience: Sadly due to recent health issues, we had to cancel our trip to San Francisco/LA. The compassion I received from Yaz was next level, Yaz assisted in making an effort with a caring approach to help me with my options. Negative experience: Lesson I have learnt. Never post a review until holiday is over!! You are Flight centre best friend till they get your money. Cruise was disappointing! Tours booked were nothing we asked for! Accommodation disappointing. Would never use or recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Flight Centre Airport West with organising my trip to Queensland. Loreana did an outstanding job helping plan and book the flights, multiple accommodations and car hire. She took the time to really understand what I wanted out of my holiday and how to get the best deals, and was very accommodating with her time to discuss and explain things such as insurances. I had some specific instructions which Loreana was able to go above and beyond in including in my itinerary. Loreana is a Japan specialist as well, so will definitely be going back to plan my Japan trip with Loreana and the team at Flight Centre Airport West.

She lived in Japan for 9 years and as a result was able to suggest some amazing places that you would not typically hear about or get to go to. We'd hoped for someone familiar with Japan for our upcoming travel plans, and we probably found the most knowledgeable and well-versed consultant in Melbourne in that area. That aside, Loreana was as friendly, obliging, patient and thorough as one could ever hope a travel consultant to be, and nothing was too much trouble as she guided us through our many options and needs. As such, we were greatly reassured and feel we are in very capable and skilled hands, having paid our initial deposit and needing to complete the rest of the arrangements with Flight Centre Airport West in future. Negative experience: The attitude of the bloke who served me is why people just do things online now. Straight up passive aggressive from the start for absolutely no reason. Ended up just walking out and booking it myself. I was on the fence about bothering with a travel agent and this guy definitely helped me make my mind up. If you hate your job, I suggest not taking it out on random strangers and quitting.

Fantastic experience: I have been meaning to write a review about Nick at Airport West Flight Centre for so long and this morning I finally am! He has been booking our holidays and insurance for a few years now and he has always been patient, polite and very knowledgeable. We have made appointments with Nick and he has always been there to see us and help us. My husband and I would recommend Nick to anyone wanting to book through Flight Centre.

Fantastic experience: Big shout out to Claire Morris from Airport West Flight Centre. Claire has great travel knowledge, knows how to find deals and patiently navigate her clients through multiple thoughtful options. We went to Claire with a very short timeframe to organise our trip, however, Claire found a way to make our holiday happen. In an era of doing everything yourself online, I recommend going to see Claire, as I know we would not have found the deals/options or thought of the itinerary that Claire created. Patience and kindness goes a long way and we will be going back to see Claire again for our holiday planning and booking. So please stay put Claire!

Fantastic experience: What a great experience, I got there a little late on a Sunday thinking I was going to be turned away. But no, a lovely young lady Ally served us, and we walked out with a great deal. Ally listened to what we were asking for and was able to accommodate without a blink of an eye. Fantastic service. From finding us the best prices to suggestions on locations, restaurants and activities. Fantastic experience: Can’t speak highly enough of the wonderful service we have been receiving from Claire Morris at this travel agency. She’s been absolutely INCREDIBLE organising 3 families (18 people altogether) to go on a 7 night cruise and then onto the Gold Coast for another 5 nights of holiday fun for early next year. She’s co-ordinated all the bookings, accomodation and transfers and given us lots of friendly advice sharing her experiences and knowledge with us. We can’t thank her enough! Fantastic experience: Since Covid and having lost touch with our last travel agent, I was on the hunt for someone who is responsive, knowledgeable and accommodates all my endless questions! After visiting a few Flight Centers and nearly giving up, I found Claire at Airport West Flight Centre who is a fantastic travel agent. From a customer experience perspective, her service is outstanding, and you feel more like a friend than a customer. Knowing how super busy it’s been since travel has opened up again, she finds the time to sit with us to plan our trips and has also planned and booked my parents trip, she makes everything 100% stress free. Claire is on the ball, and we just returned from an overseas trip and straight away went to see Claire to plan our next trip, we have complete confidence having Claire advise us on hotels etc... She pays attention to every detail, from working hard to get us the best deal to requesting travel assistance for my parents' travel. Claire has taken care of each and every aspect of our holiday and accommodating in most of our requests. If Claire is not available, she also has a wonderful backup Yaz who is usually across our holiday plans. We would highly recommend.

Negative experience: Walked in, stood for a while and a lady looked up with a cats bum look on her face. No greeting a hello would of been polite, not even can I help you Service was below average. So glad she couldn't help. Seemed like too much of an effort. Took my business to Flight Centre Essendon, even though they were extremely busy unlike Airport West. All my questions got answered and they got all my business.

Negative experience: Booking appointments is no fun and a turn off. Going else where

Negative experience: Too busy to want to help even with an appointment. Was questioned why I wanted to go to a certain country when I could go to another and get the 'same experience' apparently. Also was told that people don't do more than 1 country at once. Felt it was a very passive conversation. My trip was put in the "too hard" basket and never was followed up on, although I emailed stating I wanted to book. I ended up searching and booking it myself. Extremely disappointed seeing as I booked my honeymoon through here with 3 destinations, however that travel agent no longer works for the company. Do your own research, this place is too busy to assist, unless you have a 'straight forward' return flight to book.

Fantastic experience: Yaz at Flight Centre Airport West is my go to person for every trip I've been on for the last 5 years. The whole team work together so well to always find us the best deals, and Yaz is so patient with my every question and request. He helped me organise the solo Europe trip where I met my partner for the first time, and helped me change my flights last minute to stay with him as a big romantic gesture. We've since flown to and from the UK together many times, always with the help of Yaz, and now he's helping us return with our 1 year old in tow. Thanks so much Flight Centre Airport West!

Negative experience: I purchased tickets through Ally and requested on several occasions via email for her to update details of the flights to earn emirates miles and it’s been over 5 months and she still hasn’t replied! This isnt the first time either I’ve contacted her regarding other things and was so hard to get a response, I had to call someone from the team and they helped me and also made her respond! She has had poor service from the beginning and doesn’t care about the customers needs. Won’t ever go here again and yes happy to be contacted by management

She was very helpful and so professional, she went all further and beyond and helped with choosing the most suitable flight and also as I was travelling with my mother she assisted me with choosing suitable seats patiently, not only that she followed up by emailing me all required documentation. Negative experience: Disgusting customer service today. It’s been 4 weeks since we got in contact with Flight Centre Airport West regarding our refund and no response back, no reply ,nothing. Called today for a update and was pretty much brushed off by one of the rudest staff member. It’s funny how staff are always nice when you are making a booking but when it comes to refunds or a issue there not interested.

Negative experience: Today we experienced the worst customer service ever possible. We booked an appointment four days before, to learn the agent won't meet with us, when we arrived for our appointment. He said he was too busy for us, yet he hadn't given us a simple phone call or text before to save us the trip in to see hin. Our reason for the meeting was to clarify the travel arrangements to Japan that we had booked and paid for several months earlier with the same person. We needed clarification the entry requirements for Japan regarding our Visa application. However the agent told us he was too busy to meet with us. He then became aggressive and rude to us. Then he even said we had booked illegal tickets as Japan wasn't open when we made the booking. This was beyond normal behaviour as he was the person that sold as the tickets. We left flight Centre office dumbfounded as what just happened. Based on our experience today, we decided to cancel all our bookings with Flight Centre as we could never trust the agent again or rely on them for travel support should we become stranded overseas on our holiday. COVID19 has become the perfect excuse for poor service. The rude and aggressive behaviour was embarrassing to us and everyone else in the shop. This isn't my first ever review, however it is my first ever bad review. Think twice before booking your holiday with this office.

Fantastic experience: Nick from AW Flight Centre helped book my recent trip overseas. He was very patient with me and helped look up a number of different flight route options before I settled on one. Nick was also fantastic in looking for up-to-date COVID requirements and making sure I knew what was needed for me- he carefully explained the insurance policy I had chosen and allowed me to ask questions. My flights and the trip went ahead with nil issues . Thanks Nick.

Negative experience: I spent time researching where we would stay. The wrong motel was booked! The motel booked was far inferior to the one I had chosen. The itinerary we were given said Continental breakfast included - it wasn't. It said includes espresso maker - none. Quite disgusted with the very poor service. They couldn't even get a small 2 night booking right. I would definitely not trust them with anything else!

Fantastic experience: Booked my recent trip to Cuba and Mexico with Courtney. She recommended a great tour for Cuba and fabulous resort in Cancun. She explained everything thoroughly and made organising my trip stress free.

Negative experience: Would never use this travel agent again. Requested and paid for a private pool in Santorini and when we enquired why we didn't get the room with a pool, flight centre promptly said they didn't recall the request or them showing us the room with the private pool online. Quick to blame us for signing off on quote etc. Also, the arrival times to the expensive hotels were not coorindated so we could maximise use of hotel facilities. Location of hotel and time required to stay in Athens is less than desirable. No warning given about Dubai Ramadan, therefore wasted money on two nights there due to flight centres recommendation. Note to self, given the above examples I might as well organised the trip myself as they showed no expertise.

They are well informed and the main consultant we dealt with, Jacqui, gave us great service and advice on our trip to Malaysia.She was very clear about all the details from start to finish , so our booking , flights and accommodation went off without a hitch. (Even if we popped in and Jacqui wasn't there, her co-workers were nothing but helpful). We ended up having the most brilliant experience (at Berjaya Langkawi, Malaysia!)
