Fantastic experience: Reasonable response during this special time Booked a trip to China last Christmas, was told to wait for further policy till one month before departure date. My trip was finally cancelled in May and was offered full credit for future booking. A bit disappointed but acceptable. Hope that we could all go through this difficult time and my family can enjoy an overseas trip next year.

Fantastic experience: I wanna show my child about China so booked a trip with them last year. They also helped me to customize my flight so I can stay more days in my home town. However, due to coronavirus, the trip was cancelled. I called them regarding the tour refund at early stage. Their staffs are nice and kept me updated about the whole refund process. I know it took a while for them to complete it but it's much more better than other tour companies, compared with what my friends experienced. So when it's safe to travel, I will choose them again.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I booked and paid for a 10 days China tour supposed to leave in June 2020, from the Click Frenzy sale last year. It sucks that our booking was cancelled because of the COVID 19, not us. We are very distressed and we are waiting so many weeks for the refund, however Expedition team has been extremely supportive. We have dealt with different consultants from the beginning but they are all very helpful and promptly reply with the latest update and inform us on the alternatives whilst we rarely heard anything from the company we originally paid our money to and we also got ignored by our insurance company. It has been a stressful time for everybody. Well, since we cannot control what happens to the world, we can control how we react to it. Once again, thank you team

Negative experience: I booked the 23 day China Tour through Luxury escapes .The tour was conducted by Expeditions exclusive I booked the 18 th Sept2019 Departure . Nowhere on their website, were we advised that 1st Oct was the national day and that there were going to be big celebrations and a week long holiday.which meant that some of the attractions ,that were advertised, including the forbidden City was literally forbidden and could not be entered. Tienanmen Square was also restricted Had this been notified on the advertisement ,or at booking by EE we could have booked alternative dates to avoid this period . EE advised us less than 48 hrs before departure that the Forbidden City was locked down and that another attraction would be substituted , I complained about this late advice ,as I felt that they should have known and anticipated this problem and that at no time until less than 48 hours before departure had they mentioned anything about this ,which was something that they should have known The result of my complaint was that at 5 pm on the 17th of Sept less than 24 Hours before we were due to fly out at 10.00 the next morning we were told that they would not take us on the tour, because I was not happy about the late change .This was unfair and I contacted E E several times and I had to apologise for being dissapointed before they would allow me on the Tour .I had to also point out I would have suffered considerable financial loss apart from the cost of the tour which included non refundable airfares as well. Hardly a person in any of the hotels spoke English, which was a problem. The guides all had their own agendas and simply glossed over the itinerary to Finnish soon so that t they could offer their own extensions and "optional" itineraries which cost more again.Everywhere they were trying to sell You something extra .The most obvious one was at included Lunches they would ask whether we wanted drinks such as Beer Etc and then Charge 20 RMIB per bottle . They collected the money and paid the restaurant not allowing us to order and pay for ourselves .I knew that it was less than that and on one occasion used my Chinese offline translator to ask how much the Beer was His answer was 8 Yuan .We were asked to pay 20 Yuan!!! On another occasion in Qufu , on the scheduled Tour of the Confucius Family grave yard and the Confucius family mansion which was 2,5 Km away from the grave yard , we were asked to pay AUD$ 30 per person for transportation or walk . Some paid for a Horse and Carriage ride from the Cemetery to the Mansion,Others walked and I got an electric Bicycle Rickshaw for 10 yuan . Nowhere in the itinerary were we advised of this cost for transport!! The optional and included lunches were a farce !! There was not enough food ,it was basic and it was served at large 10 person round tables,and by the time popular dishes came round the table they had all gone.In Wuxi we had paid for the optional Dumpling dinner ,which was pretty ordinary,but it was the production of 2 x 500 Ml Bottles of beer and 10 shot glasses for 10 people that was laughable !! We were told that was the deal and that if we wanted more we had to pay for it !! Because of the holiday period and the increased security on the bullet trains all our pressurised cans such as shaving cream etc, which is normally carried in our checked luggage , was confiscated .Also I had to pay to have my expensive Swiss Army knife posted to my Last destination otherwise I would have lost it We were not advised of any of this prior to departure At the the bullet train stations , on many occasions we were required to drag our suitcases some 400-500 Metres from the bus to the entrance of the station ,behind the guide who merely carried a flag and walked at normal pace .This was extremely taxing on older and infirm people Also none of the guides had whisperers and it was impossible at times to hear what they were saying ,because of ambient noise ,Distance from the speaker and the guide having started talking before everyone lagging behind had caught up

Negative experience: Booked a trip with this company 6 months before lockdowns. Denied a refund 5 months before departure date and told to wait till 1 month before departure for refund. Then I was told that I was too late and that my flights and hotels were booked and that they were irrevocable costs? In short they took half my trip money and I didn't even get any info of whether they had really booked anything or not. They originally wanted to only refund me 5% of my trip cost! I suspect they took all my money for their own pockets. Do not book with them!

Negative experience: By far one of the worst companies to deal with. Booked and paid through Webjet, who want to rub me off to deal with these guys, Have spoken to someone regarding canceling a upcoming tour for China in August 2020, Only to be told, sorry we cant help you. Logged dispute with credit card company. whatever you do, DO NOT book with this company, They will tell you to deal with Webjet, and webjet will tell you to deal with them.

Fantastic experience: overall a fantastic holiday, great value, good accommodation, and David our tour guide was fantastic, very helpful and friendly. would recommend this trip to anyone.

Fantastic experience: The service provided was extremely good and updates on changes to flight times were given. All questions were promptly answered and we were extremely pleased with the service. Of particular note was the assistance given when applying for a visa to China in Sydney wen your company emailed the Flight details directly to the application center in Sydney which was essential to be granted the necessary visa.

Positive experience: Had a really good time, there were so many places included in the tour, busy every day, a huge thanks to our tour guide David from Wuxi to shanghai, funny jokes and keeping us all happy and laughing, he was very helpful, let us know every time we were getting off bus where to find bathrooms and the quality to expect , eg. 4 star with western toilets, where the best food to eat and very clear about meeting times and locations, this is the first time we have had an organised tour, made some really good friends as the same group stayed together right through the journey, this tour is definately value for the money, small downside there were no fridges in the hotel rooms after we left Beijing but the rooms were excellent and with the short stays meant it didn’t really matter, be aware that if you choose not to do some of the optional extras you may have to just hang around and wait for the others, thanks Family 21

Fantastic experience: Our 13-DAY CLASSIC CHINA TOUR WITH XIAN EXTENSION through Exhibition Exclusive was an awesome experience. Our Chinese tour guides - Steven - Lulu - Aaron and Connie were all very friendly, helpful and informative providing the group with interesting information about China and our destinations with a touch of humour which worked well in engaging the large tour group. They were all eager to please everyone and bend over backwards to ensure that everyone had a pleasurable experience. Our tour included many famous sights and destinations and I must praise the work of our tour guides and the bus drivers for getting us to these destinations safely and in comfort. Well done to everyone involved and I do hope this feedback is also passed onto the tour guides who deserve the accolades considering the logistics of such a large tour group and hard work they undertook to ensure such a positive experience. On a final note Xiamen Air who were our carriers from Melbourne to China were awesome, plenty of leg room, great meals and friendly air stewards. I have no hesitation to fly with them again in the future and highly recommend this airline to those who may not be familiar with this company. Well done to all. Steve and Raelene A.

Positive experience: 12-day wonder of China tour 25 Oct to 5 Nov 2019 Tour Guide Foresen Xu (from Shanghai to Hangzhou) showed exceptional service to our group. Always pleasant and puntual; not only supplying bottled water but with moist towels and titbits ; ingenious supply of headphone when conducting tour in crowded places enabled us to listen clearly to his commentary. personally guided us to the bullet train compartment when travelling from Shanghai to Qufu. However, can't say the same for the other tour guides. Rock (Qufu to Jinan) was not bad but unforturnately, his mother suffered a heart attack and was replaced by Ash? who was rigid and fidgety. refused to escort us to our train compartment (Bullet train from Jinan to Beijing) on the excuse that he didn't have a ticket. It was a hugh station but with our experience gained in Shanghai, we helped each other to the gate and onto the platform / train compartment. Beijing's tour guide Stephen not only hardly smile but was late a few times - no apologies! When he asked us to follow him (eg at the Forbidden Palace - a very crowded place), he was constantly checking his mobile rather than checking if the group was falling behind. No headphone was provided and it was hard to hear him when he spoke or explained things. Frequently inconsistent with his timing eg told us after forbidden Palace, we could also visit the Museum and Mao's mausoleum nearby but was told later that there wasn't enough time. Same at Beijing Zoo - told to meet in two hours but set the time at 1hr and 40 min. Hotels generally were of good standard and a standout is Shangri-La's China World Hotel. The breakfast spreads were good too. A couple of hotels' (I think they were Merchant Marco Garden Hotel and Pullman Shanghai Qingpu Excellence) breakfasts were pretty hopeless. If not for Tour guide Xu in Shanghai and Shangri-La's China World Hotel, I would have given this trip a 2.5 to 3 stars. Saving grace from the aforementioned, I am upgrading it to 4 stars.

Fantastic experience: We thought our China tour was fantastic ,and found our tour guides and drivers both knowledgeable and friendly .We flew Singapore airlines , so no complaints there .Our first hotel needed a bit of a refurbishment but not to the point of being unbearable . The next 3 hotels were great , and the last one was good except for the smell of cigarette smoke ......Which our guide Lulu sorted for us . On more than one occasion Lulu was always there to help when needed , and she was a delight .....(She even had us singing on the bus on the last night LOL) The add-on tours are well worth doing ,and you will need to be a bit thick skinned if you aren't used to the hard sell treatment at the organised factory tours . We found the Chinese people to be both friendly and helpful and it was a very safe environment to be in , The Govt is obviously heading down the tourist path , and making a lot of headway . One point to be aware of , is that the stated all inclusive paid tips is not always the case with the tour guides & drivers , and our first guide Steven went to some lengths to explain what he thought we should pay .......this is not obligatory and we paid what we could . Lulu our next guide made no mention of tips, and it seemed people were quite happy to give one to her .All in all a great value for money well organised holiday packed with things to do , and some time to do your own thing if you wanted to .

Positive experience: It was an excellent 12 days tour to China. However, you should get rid of the Zoo visit in Beijing. It is a terrible place where animals are been malnourished.

Positive experience: Great trip. I climbed the Great Wall of China. One downer was that other tour members weren’t told there was a much easier part of the Wall that many could have managed, in the opposite direction. My only complaint on behalf of others. Maybe a bit too much ‘shopping’. :) Loved the time there. Clean, comfortable, well planned, great guides, lovely, friendly people everywhere.

Fantastic experience: Trip to China was amazing and the places we visited were more than we expected for a budget trip. The tour guides were knowledgeable and their English was good, no problem with communicating. In particular I'd like to say how impressed I was with Lulu and her efforts to keep the group informed and on time given we had a couple who did not make this easy for her, constantly running late, arguing and with a 2.5 year old who at times did not settle. Lulu handled the whole situation with ease and professionalism. I would suggest children under 6 not do these tours. Others also ran late and then did not understand why a bus could not pick them up in the middle of a busy road instead finding it easier to blame Lulu who had no control over this situation and it was totally on their shoulders for being so late. Again Lulu handled all of this with a smile and continued her program. Thank you for a great trip, I'd recommend this trip to anyone who wants a taste of China.

Fantastic experience: Thankyou for a great trip to China. Great value hotels, food, service & good daily activities/tours. Chinese guides were fantastic with great humour. Highlights were The Great Wall, Wuxi, Shanghai & The Yangtze River Cruise.

Fantastic experience: We were mostly very happy with our tour to China for 22 days and all the places we were able to visit. 95% of the hotels were 5star but there was one hotel that the bathroom was very old and could only fit one person at a time so you could not share when trying to get ready to go out. There was always a guide to meet you in each destination reached and they were very knowledgeable on their country & region. They were always helpful and looked after you until they placed you on the next flight or bullet train to get to your next city. David was super organised & Sophie was just a delight. As part of our tour we extended with the 4 night Yangtze River cruise and all of the 10 couples on the tour were disappointed with the cabins we were allocated (especially after 5star hotels with king beds in all other hotels). The cabin had twin beds and the tiniest bathroom that one person could not turn around in. Some of the couples had to pay US$250 to upgrade to the next style cabin purely because they needed the extra room in the bathroom). We all agreed that being a tour we booked with Luxury Escapes the minimum style cabin should have been the Executive which still had twin beds but with a bigger bathroom (preferably all should be booked in a queen cabin). Overall very good value for money but a few things could have been done a little better (as above).

Fantastic experience: We recently travelled to China for a quick 10 day visit - I would like to go back again as there is so much to see and do and from the start to finish I found the trip to be very professionally run. The guides we had, Maggie in Beijing & David for the rest of the tour thru to Shanghai, they were exceptional and went out of their way to ensure that we all had a great holiday. Expedition Exclusive staff - you do it all so well! I will use you again one day hopefully.

Fantastic experience: I loved visiting China. My trip with you exceeded my expectations. The food was great, the shows were amazing, and just loved walking the Wall, looking over the Terracotta Warriors and shopping like a local. The country is so modern

Fantastic experience: Expedition Exclusive organised a great China tour. All transport, hotel and sights organisation ran like clockwork. Price was great value, found it was $500 less than competitive tours with more value. A suggestion that was general view of group would have preferred one less day in Beijing and one more day in Xian. Do not recommend the Peking Duck Banquet. In contrast to other Chinese restaurant cost, it was overpriced and not good value. It also was at the hotel which did not have an authentic Chinese restaurant decor and ambience. This was general view of the group. Also please note that Ground Floor of buildings in China are labelled First Floor. Hence if your itinerary details First Floor it is Ground Floor, can be confusing at Guangzhou Airport when needing to book an overnight hotel.

Positive experience: If the whole tour was like our experience in the East China segment with our tour guide Sen (Foresen) I'd easily give five stars, however a couple of things let you down. Sichuan Airline delays caused us to miss the first two days of our tour (!!!) with us stuck in Chengdu and we received no help at all from local guides in negotiating transit accommodation or connecting flights while we were stuck on the way to Beijing. As a result we missed Tiananmen Square and The Forbidden City which were two main reasons for our trip! Also, the guide in Beijing didn't actually do any guiding for our group; simply dropped us off at locations and said "now you have free time". The hotel provided by the airlines due to flight delays and the hotel Beijing were terrible. Thankfully as we progressed toward Shanghai the hotels improved and ended up being quite good. On the East China segment of the tour the whole show was saved by a wonderful guide named Sen (Foresen) who was very kind, informative and accommodating. The only other constructive criticism I would suggest would be to provide less time at the tourist traps such as the Jade factory, pearl factory, silk factory and more time and guidance at important sites such as the Great Wall, Forbidden City, West Lake, The Bund, French Concession, Shanghai Museum etc. All up a positive trip which started badly and was saved by a wonderful guide in Shanghai and East China.

Fantastic experience: Our trip to China was fantastic, we would especially like to thank our tour guides Maggie and David they were very informative and nothing was to much trouble. Also thank you to our bus drivers. Our only down side was the Hutong life tour there were no rickshaws and the smell of toilets was horrible.

Positive experience: My sister & I really enjoyed our 12day trip to China. Our guides were very helpful and full of information. I found some destinations very rushed ie: we needed more time at the Great Wall, but in general quite good. The hotels were mostly good - the first (just out of Beijing) had very poor lighting, and the second last hotel smelled very musty, the entire room reeked, even the pillows, yuk. Visiting the terracotta warriors was the absolute highlight. I would love to return in 10 years or so to see how much further they have advanced with the restorations. In summary, great trip for a great price.

Negative experience: Bad Transit flight 80 % of hotels is bad and far away from cities To many extra charge

Positive experience: I would thoroughly recommend the 13 day trip to China. We covered all the main tourist spots that I wanted to see. The guides were well informed and knowledgeable about their area of the country. The accommodation was good, some were great! My suggestions are that travellers are informed that they have to find their own way back to the hotel if they don't do the excursions. I did all the excursions which I thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend. Also, we went on the high speed train from Beijing to Wuxi and could not take spray cans more than 50g in our luggage, so many of us had to throw out deodorant, insect spray and hairspray. Pump packs and roll on were ok. We were taken to many retail places and were seated and expected to sit and listen to information about jade, tea growing, pearls etc and then came the sales pitch. We were discouraged from leaving until they were done. I found this frustrating as I would prefer to shop than wait in a room with the door closed. The flights were great. We were given many options for food along the way. Expedition Exclusive did a great job with this tour.

Positive experience: The whole experience was a pleasant one. However would like to suggest that people should be given more time for the tourist attractions and business tours like Jade factory, Chinese medicines, silk factory and tea estate should be optional, our group was not happy with business tours. In Beijing we were given only an hour for the zoo, seriously ?? It was not enough. Both the tour guides Lilly in Beijing and Florasen in Shanghai were good, specially Florasen he was the best tourist guide I have ever met.

Negative experience: Had to pay extra to have our seats together on the planes both there & back despite booking as a couple! Then arrived at Xi'an airport & no guide in sight, so had to ask another groups guide to call ours so we could get picked up. Hotels were very far from the cities making shopping & eating a challenge. Shanghai guide only interested in commisions & uninformative. Were only given 90 minutes to climb the Great Wall & take photos. Hotels were clean & spacious. Our guide Peter for Terracotta Warriors was outstanding!!! Full of knowledge & took us to locals only restaurant for a fantastic evening. Don't think we would use Expedition Exclusive again.

Positive experience: We had a fantastic time it was our first tour we usually choose to tour on our own. We found all the places we visited where amazing and if it wasn't for the great guides Maggie and Frank filling us with some much information I believe the tour wouldn't have been so great. The only negative we had was the last 3 hotels didn't have a fridge and the last hotel couldn't even accommodate us with some ICE but other than that it was a fantastic tour and I have been letting friends know

Fantastic experience: Thoroughly enjoyed the trip and were impressed with the standard of hotels and all the trips included plus the optional extras. First tour guide (Alice)exceptional , second one (Tony) disappointing & third one Kevin good. The time frame for connecting flights was stressful due to insufficient time allowed. Thanks for a wonderful trip would recommend it to family and friends.

Fantastic experience: I've just returned from my trip to China with David and Jean being the tour guides. Both were lovely, David is funny and makes sure you are well cared for. The tour group and activities were great. I loved it and made some really great friends. I would do this tour again

Fantastic experience: We loved all the time on our trip in China. Foreseen has been the best tour guide we have had. We will be happy to do a tour with him again and we recommend Foreseen for all groups. He is well organised, patient and always on time. We love his songs and the way he entertained us in the entire trip.

Positive experience: This was a very good tour and it could have been excellent with the fantastic attractions included, but the agenda was somewhat disorganised and at times we were rushed from one sight to another. It would also be better to get rid of the optional tours and have everything included at a cost, as splitting the group for the options didn't work too well. There was also a hard sell by the guides to get as many as possible on the optional tours. The hotels were very good, the Yangtze river cruise was stunning and the travel and transfers were first class.

Fantastic experience: Wow what a trip to China. What an amazing country will all it’s history and traditions. It was absolutely fantastic. Accommodations in most places was terrific. Transportation great. Guides were very knowledgeable. Fantastic group of people on the trip. We couldn’t have asked for better. The whole experience is something my friend and I will never forget.

Positive experience: No options or assistance offered if optional tours not taken. Even after optional tours have completed and buses move on to elsewhere. They don't return for those that do the options and so you miss a city tour or the like that is after the optional tour.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined the tour to China with Expedition Exclusive. At the beginning, I wasn't too sure whether I had made the right decision. The tour cost is just too good to be true. Especially I read the negative reviews after the purchase just made me worried. However, the tour was great! The hotels are very nice, they are not central located but very comfortable. The guides are professional and knowledgeable, they made our trip safe and interesting. Yes, we have been to some shops, but actually I enjoyed it and it is a cultural experience for me. Anyway, I love the tour and will recommend Expedition Exclusive to people who would like to visit China as first time traveler.

Positive experience: My partner and myself have recently returned from an Expedition Tours 12day/10night tour of China. The tour did not start off well as the departing plane was 2 hours late, but better to be in a safe state to fly than the alternative. The tour was great with good hotels and excellent guides. We had the unfortunate joy of sharing our tour with three women who continually complained, whinged, got lost, asked the same questions over and over again, and generally cheesed off all the other participants. I have just read a review from one of them and am disgusted with her lopsided view. The Chinese were very polite, courteous to us westerners, and genuinely wanted to assist us. It is only those with a closed mind who complain about a whole race when in their country. Leo the tour guide was absolutely fantastic with insight into his countries history, both good and bad, and went out of his way to make our visit memorable. It was only the intervention of a very quiet lady that shut the whingers up, and the rest of us apologised to Leo for their bad behaviour. All the other guides were great, and all put their spin on what China was like. It was a great tour with great people (minus the three amigo's) whom some we have kept in contact with. I would recommend Expedition Tours to anyone who is thinking of visiting China.

Positive experience: We joined the tour with Expedia knowing that there is a catch that come with the cheap price. Those catches are 1) you will be taken around to shopping places to buy things you would probably not buying otherwise 2) the optional tours will be heavily promoted 3) hotels will be pretty far away from central (at least in Beijing and Shanghai) Despite all that, i had a great time. Our tour guides were nice and helpful and caring. Yes they do want you to sign up for the optional activities but once the negotiation is over, they dont give you attitude or single you out for not signing up. In fact, they do what they can to keep us safe. My tour group was amazing, there were so much joy and laughter that were shared during the 10 days that made me sad to say goodbye to everyone. There were a lot to see and do as part of the tour but we also have time to venture off on our on. I would not be able to tick off as many tourist attractions in such short amount of time on my own. The tour bus was new and luxury which made the coach drive from Wuxi to Suzhou to hangzhou very enjoyable. I even find the shopping trips interesting and entertaining as long as you are tough enough to ignore the hard sale. We did made some purchases that made us feel what the hell later on but guess what, it is a give and take things. Big thanks to our main tour guides Steven and Toby for keeping us safe and being such good sport even though they have a tough job todo with all the sales target. China is beautiful and cultural rich that make all the hassles worth while

Fantastic experience: We did the 11 day China Highlights tour. The price was very very low, so we went into it expecting accommodation to not great and there to be plenty of bungles along the way. The tour was amazing. The hotels were totally fine....not in the heart of major cities, but thats to be expected. The touring around was great....bus was clean and modern, guides were really good, hotel breakfasts were 'Chinese'-based....but hey, it is China! Flights with China Southern were also perfect. Do what we did and get out in the evenings with others on the tour and experience the culture! For a very affordable holiday, this would be very hard to beat.

Negative experience: We used Expedition exclusive to travel to China from late June till July 1)The chinese airline simply a disaster, delayed departures and arrivals ,queuing to dispatch luggage in china not respected ruling party members given preference. 2) The tour guides inChina A special mention of an outstanding tour guide in Beijing ,Robert Lee. His professional manner, his very clear English made his narrative interesting. He could anticipate the tour members needs and most importantly ,to hand our passports back after we checked in. All other tour guides could not understand our need to have our ID with us and kept our passports for several days. The information by Robert Lee was delivered in such a professional way .We were taken as intelligent human travellers with an interest in history , statistics , health, education ,population growth, food, geography and Chinese customs. Unlike Robert a tour guide named Fifi spoke about her sex life, abortions and the hate from daughters in law to mothers in law.We ,asked her to change the topic . Westerners do not like to hear topics on abortions and sex in front of young children . After all we were on holidays. 3)Strange way chinese push for sales. At a silk factory ,Jessica was unpleasant and rude , with loud voice and a microphone attached to her mouth. She was asked to lower her voice with no luck 4) Lastly a tour guide Leo in Xi’an city reported he was doing us a favour by taking us to a market. He said ,he could have been at home with his wife and threw a tantrum in front of everyone. If this gent did this in Australia , he would have lost his job .We paid extra for his services. Leo is confused about his role, his job is to be a tour guide As an ex teacher he treated tourists as students. His complaints about corrupt communist party members sending their children overseas to study gave a poor impression.He overreacted when I gave him feedback I would not recommend your company to my close family and friends Cris Yudi

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusted by my tour with expedition exclusive, this was meant to be a fun trip for my mother and I that turned into nothing but wanting to go home. Firstly, you embarrass our beautiful tour guide Maggie by making her ask us for a $120 per person tip that was apparently compulsary but wasn’t in anyone’s fine print, the tip that doesn’t even go to her, goes straight to the company. Our first tour guide that picked us up from the airport was dreadful, making us feel guilty and as if we were going to get lost and left behind in china if we didn’t pay for the optional tours to stay with the group which for a first time traveller is horrifying, our second guide was fantastic, the first week was still horrible, but atleast our tour guide made it somewhat enjoyable. Our second tour guide, I can’t say anything close, leaving group members with small children behind in heavy traffic, not responding to complaints made, being incredibly rude We are being made to switch hotels just about every night, travelling 1.5+ hours to each one, as well as tours during the day with no option to stay on the air conditioned bus or stay at the hotel a little longer, making 9-11 hour days in 32+ degree heat and not being given any options to be comfortable, just walk, listen, or find your own way back to the hotel And don’t even get me started on the location of the hotels, being put in the middle of a construction site with no food options for those with special dietary needs, no chemists, no supermarkets, no nothing. We have been dragged through the tourist traps, the Herbal Medicine Centre even using people’s medical issues to try and make thousands of dollars??? We spend 2 hours in the Jadeite shop being followed around until something was bought, considering items were 100+ a piece, we were dragged through the pearls, the paintings, the herbal institute, expedition has been nothing but a money scam and I couldn’t recommend it less

Negative experience: I am really disappointed about my tour, there are lots of hidden expenses. They do not care much about special dietary requirements. Their main focus is to take people to places where they sell certain things like perls, silk, jade, tea etc.. and not to show the real country. The day time optional items/tours are only optional if you don’t mind sitting on the bus for hours until others finish them and come back.
