Fantastic experience: Such a great experience here, the staff had a relaxed attitude and really knew the town and surrounding area in detail. We followed their suggestions and enjoyed our stay, especially the self directed walking tour, this was the best we have come across in our travels. Negative experience: Pushy, rude lady wanted to know everything about us and our trip. When I advised I was just browsing she demanded my postcode. Some people just enjoying browsing in peace.

Fantastic experience: Clear in the center of the city of Rockhampton, where the tropical zone separates from the temperate one. Even though the information point is not open non-stop, here you will find brochures about the places worth visiting in this small Australian town. Fantastic experience: This is the place where the Tropic of Capricorn passes, which is beautifully marked and well promoted. Here I found magazines with recommendations for activities and restaurants that I actually tried because I trusted the sources that made these publications. Rockhampton impressed me once again with such attractions and spaces where you can learn about the culture and traditions of these places or the most important tourist attractions.

Negative experience: The Explore Rockhampton Information Centre was a little dissapointing due to being closed. I understand we are in holiday period but what is the point of an information centre that can't assist holiday makers with things to do in Rockhampton. The outside looked clean and they provide public toilets which was nice, they even have a lovely park attached. Recommend if they ever open.

Fantastic experience: Hello, during a visit here in Rockhampton, one should definitely stop by the Information Centre. It is very nicely located in the green, about a 10-minute walk from the main train station in the south of the city. I also felt welcomed here. The staff was really friendly, polite, and helpful. There was quite a bit to explore in the building. There were many souvenirs to buy, cold drinks, or a coffee. The restrooms were very well-kept, as was the building. It's a pity that not all information centers in Australia are as nice as this one. So a visit here is definitely worth it.

Fantastic experience: We accompanied Phil, our guide, and 18 others on Timesafaries' evening tour and it was great. Phil spoke clearly and all of the historical stories and tales were fascinating and very entertaining. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend it. It cost $15pp and I also enjoyed a point of Guinness at the bar before the tour.
Negative experience: Toilets not very clean, not a great way to welcome people to Rockhampton. Gardens outside are very nice....

Fantastic experience: Big thanks to a gentleman named Kit who gave me a hot tip on where to find Rockhampton's best meat pie for lunch! The zoo was a great suggestion too as we only had one day to explore the area on our road trip.

Fantastic experience: Welcome to Rockhampton! The staff here are friendly, thoughtful and down to Earth. They really care about your experience when you come to Rockhampton. Maps, travel guides, points of interest and all with a smile. Before you enter you will come across the Tropic of Capricorn running through the town, the spire showing where it is and a very nice sun dial which seemed to be more accurate than my watch. This is the place to start your Rockhampton visit, welcome!

Negative experience: I was very disappointed with the response from a male staff refusing to make a call to make caravan booking on our behalf as I explained that my wife & I are deaf. I tried book caravan park via online but was requested to call them by phone which we weren't able to do so. Ive been on many caravan trips & relied on generous staff at various information centres without any trouble. Mind you I know staff do not make caravan site bookings but what about ourselves being deaf.?

Fantastic experience: The lady who helped us was very patient and thorough, and we ended up staying in the area longer than we expected. Cool cow postcards and stickers if you want to support the place, not to much of the overpriced rebranded gifts you usually see in visitor centres. Very clean amenities thank you very much.
