Flight Centre Caloundra

Fantastic experience: I needed flights and accommodation to the 2025 AFL Grand Final in a big hurry. Sam at the Flight Center Caloundra was sensational in getting together a quote that suited my schedule of departure and arrival both end of the Sunnycoast and Melbourne. Definitely recommend giving the Flight Center a call.

Negative experience: My mum went to flight centre today to enquire about flights to Mexico for next year. The male who served her was very rude and told her not to bother sitting down unless she was ready to book, however how could we book when we were making enquiries. From the looks at some of the reviews it seems the majority of their staff need more customer service training at Caloundra.

Fantastic experience: OMG. We very rarely give 5 stars for service but we found a lady who really deserves this for exceptional service. Angela Thompson was so patient listening to our needs, then searching for flights that covered a lengthy adventure tour in Eastern Europe, Austria and France. Every need was discussed and covered with great skill and a lovely sense of humour. As long as Angela is at Flight Centre Caloundra we will be back. Many Thanks Angela . So very grateful. Negative experience: This place doesn’t deserve the 1 star!!! Went today to book domestic flights costing over $2000 dollars, the woman serving us was so rude, she had a portable air con blowing in her face because she was hot, when questioned about the flights they have online she more or less told us goodbye and have a good day, very sarcastically. Will definitely not return!!!

Adam went out of his way to arrange the best tour for us based on our wishes to have a combination of car hire and train travel on both islands. He took time to chat and to answer our questions. Negative experience: We booked our 2 tours through Sam, at Flight Centre Caloundra. The 2 tours we did were Best of Europe & North & South European Explorer. This was a My Cruises tour booked through Flight Centre. Sam was very friendly & helpful at our initial consult to discuss the tours & we then booked the dates in. We received an email from Sam with the proposed itineraries & the payment schedule outlining when each instalment needed to be made. Once FC had received our 1st payment, that was pretty much the end of any help or advice! We continually had to call or email to follow up any questions we had. We even had to email them to say that our 2nd payment was due & did they need our payment! Time & again, we asked for information, which wasn’t supplied. Sam only works 4 days/week (which is fine), however when she is sick or has time off, no one else can do her job, so we are left hanging & sometimes things are time critical. There was one occasion when Adam was able to access her emails & he was able to follow up on some of the questions we had. But on more than 1 occasion, we tried to contact Sam to find out she was away & no one could help us or access any of her files to help us. We couldn’t physically go into the office, as we go away in our caravan a few months of the year, so email & phone calls was our best way to contact the office. The Best of Europe tour is a bus tour through Europe for 1 month & our group of 47 passengers were all Aussies & we discussed who we had booked through & 80% of us booked through Flight Centre, where some were smart & booked direct through My Cruises. Of those 80% Flight Centre customers, ¾ said they would NEVER use Flight Centre again. We all had the same experience of lack of attention, no response to emails/calls & no information given after multiple requests. When we fly, we normally book extra legroom seats for long distance flights. You need to book these a fair way in advance to get these seats. We explained to Sam that we wanted to book these seats & needed to know our flight details ASAP, so we could try & book the seats. We didn’t find out our flight details until about 2 months before we left, which was waaay too late to be able to get these seats, even though we kept emailing Sam & asking for this info. To say we are deeply disappointed with the service we received would be an understatement. If I could give 0 stars I would, but that is not possible. All I can say is, that we will NEVER use Flight Centre again to book any of our holidays. The tours themselves were FANTASTIC. We saw & did so much through Europe during our 2 months away, it will be a holiday that will stay with us for the rest of our lives. It’s just a pity the organising of it was so stressful. If booking a My cruises holiday, book directly through My Cruises not Flight Centre!!

Negative experience: Requested an itinerary for a two week Japan trip. Consultant advised she would have an itinerary to me in two days. It is now 3 weeks later and many follow ups later I have stilled received nothing. Very very disappointing!!

I recently went in to sort out my travel plans and was lucky enough to be helped by both Sam and Adam. From the get-go, they were both incredibly friendly and professional. They took the time to really understand what I was looking for in a trip, whether it was budget, destination type, or specific activities. Their knowledge was impressive - they were able to answer all my questions and offer suggestions that I hadn't even considered. I would suggest booking an appointment time as they can get very busy. If you're looking for a travel agent on the Sunshine Coast, I highly recommend Flight Centre Caloundra. Ask for Sam and Adam.

No complication is too challenging…for example booking an overseas trip for two people in different countries to travel together. I always feel valued as a returning client, and while booking my fourth trip through Adam today, he also provided information to start planning my next overseas foray in 2024.

Negative experience: Worst Service Ever! I spent more the $20k on flights from Flight Centre Caloundra in the past 10 months. Once they’ve receive the money, the costumer service charged. They were no longer interested in responding or attending to any of my enquiries. I’ve phoned and emailed the Centre and the sales representative for months and no one responded. I had to walk into the centre a few times and was told that my enquiries will be attended and resolved but that never happened… I will never purchase from flight centre again and don’t recommend anyone to.

Negative experience: I popped into flight center just over a week ago to get some quotes for a trip. Was told that they would email it over within 48 hours and I received nothing. I tried calling 3 times and was on hold for over 30mins and the phone just cut off. I walked in there today and was told they are working on it and needed until Friday. So I got I touch with another flight center within 45 mins I had my quote and we are booking our trip. I have a feeling they are very understaffed and just can't keep up with demand. Just wanted to share my experience , other people may have had a better service but mine wasn't great.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with the service received from this agency. Initial chat in store was promising but everything since terrible. Had my appointment to discuss quote cancelled just 1 hour before saying they weren’t prepared and Id be contacted when it was. I didn’t hear anything so contacted them again to be told it still wasn’t ready and requested we correspond via email as I work long hours. Didn’t receive a response to that email and haven’t heard a word from them since that’s was over 2 weeks ago. Not a small trip probably be around $20k and we were using an already made itinerary that was originally to be used during COVID, only needed to be requoted on price. I’ve gone elsewhere and won’t be back

Negative experience: I tried to ring today for a direct phone number - I waited 15 mins to be answered the the voice recording advised that they were too busy and the hung up!!! I have a friend in the Phillipines who wants to book a flight and only can use the direct phone number. NOT HAPPY

Negative experience: Will NEVER use Flight Centre again. There isn’t enough space to write all of their mistakes here. Do not trust your money with this company. Even the customer relations team only address half the issues when contacted. If I gave half of the excuses for poor service in my work, I’d be unemployed.

Fantastic experience: I was only in for a short time but received great customer service, just didn't catch the lovely man's name.

Negative experience: Very rude staff. Waited a long time to be served. They served a lady who came in after me first. They all have headsets on and no one looks up. Very poor customer service and not one staff member acknowledged the queue of people. Also you get ripped on flights. If you book with the airline you get an airline credit but with flight centre it is $130 to change your flight. They on charge 99 for a Qantas fee but if you do it via Qantas there is no fee so they rip you an extra 100 bucks. Total scam
