Negative experience: My family and I made plans for a multiple country vacation with insurance for a full year of travel coverage so all up I spent just under $30000.00 First leg was great, then we had an accident. Rung Joy le who sold me all and the insurance team.. This makes me sick- they told me I was sold wrong insurance so they left me in an airport for 7 days nights no money after over staying 1 month due to medical no fly order, my family had already continued on our travels as accommodation in NZ is not exactly cheep and this occurred the last 4 days of a month long visit.. So they left me stranded and refused to follow their own policy’s… Again this was so stressful and inhumane of flight center. So I requested a refund as it was clear after being stranded away for my family and in an airport with no money that flight centers insurance team we not going to do what they are supposed to do, so the request for the $3k yearly multi trip policy back so I could at least fly home, This is what upset me the most- Joy Le sent me an email stating she had set up an insurance policy to cover my family until march so 30 days, as I was still stranded at the airport, I told her I couldn’t afford it, she told me it was complimentary and I have her email stating that… After the long drawn out refund she charged me $1000.00 for complimentary insurance out of my refund, I did not sign the paperwork work stating I agreed but was made to pay any way… Joy Le is deceitful and never help only adding dollars to her own commissions even trying to tell me my return ticket to the USA was going to have a $1000 dollars of fees.. I still have flight credit with these guys and I don’t want to even use it as after approaching multi airlines- Quote We Hate filght CENTRE !!! Nearly every single airline and as soon as they found out I had brought from FC they wouldn’t help!!! That speaks volumes… Please I know it may cost a little more direct purchase from airlines but you will have so much more protection by doing so…. The most horrible holiday and it was ment to be the best.. Thanks to Joy Le, flight center and insurance department, your a disgrace…

I was in two minds about whether we even use a travel agent or just do the bookings ourselves, but Giles has sold me on the ease, efficiency and peace-of-mind value that Flight Centre provide. Great job!

Negative experience: So far having the worst experience of being served at a retail store. 30 minutes I am standing, no one even said please bare with us, we will be with you in x minutes. I get that you have customers, but does that stops you from being courteous to customers who come to you for business. I had to give you a star so I could let you learn from this. Otherwise this experience deserves 0 star.

Fantastic experience: Liz from FC Chermside was amazing - at the start we didn't exactly know what we wanted to do but she helped us narrow it down and put together an incredible holiday for us to Switzerland. We did a Colette tour (Alpine Lakes & Scenic Trains) for 10 days across Zurich, Zermatt, Lake Maggiore in Italy, St Moritz, and Lucerne. We also stayed a few additional days in Switzerland and Liz totally nailed the hotel choices. We couldn't have done it without her! Will definitely be going back to her for our future holidays!

Negative experience: Went in asking to plan 3 trips to Bali, Thailand, and Phillipines The man serving said "you're really better off looking online" and when asked about a brochure said "we don't do that anymore either" Just confused as to what flight centre staff are meant to be doing if not making a holiday itinerary?

Negative experience: Went into flight center over 7 weeks ago looking for flights to BKK was ready to book. By the time we got to the payment stage probably not even 5 minutes the price had changed after being told that some sort of insurance that wasn’t an option I think was about $60 pre person was included in the price when challenged and asked can we not opt out of that was told no it’s what we have to pay when booking in store. I found the flight a lot cheaper elsewhere when I showed them how much cheaper I had found them online and if they could price match or get even close I was given a straight no we don’t price match. The travel consultant stated they would call me later that afternoon to see if I wanted to proceed with the booking didn’t bother. But now 7 weeks later sends me an email asking if I’m wanting to go ahead and book the flights sorry no interest in wasting my time again with flights center when they feel it’s ok to email me 7 weeks later when the price of flights will have definitely changed. Poor customer service

From the initial consult we worked out the best deals available and booked the cruise, arranged my preferred room, insurance, flights etc. He made sure every thing was covered without pressuring me to make final decisions. Every time an invoice for the next payment was issued he called me to advise so I knew it was legit. 10/10 for service, keeping me up to date every step of the way. Will be using Nicholas again for my next trip!

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with the service! Visited the store a week ago, seeking help with trip planning. The agent seemed uninterested and failed to follow up as promised. Despite calling back, I was told there was no record of our conversation and still haven't received any updates. Unreliable and unprofessional. Would not recommend wasting your time here. Worst experience with a travel agency ever.

Negative experience: Travel agent took another call while we were in store discussing travel destination options. We were offered a phone appointment the following day to finish the conversation and no call back was received. Decided to go elsewhere for our travel planning needs.

Fantastic experience: We are about to book our 7th overseas trip with Giles. Already we have given him 'the run around' but in true Giles fashion nothing is too much trouble, and we always end up with the best holiday option. Such is the service from Giles we were once lost in Sendai Japan and simply rang Giles who looked up our location and our destination and guided us to the hotel. We cannot recommend Flight Centre Chermside and Giles enough.

Negative experience: My husband and I recently returned from America. We booked with flight centre chermside. Nick was great. He assisted and gave great advice. He wasn't our consultant. Whilst we were away, we became very sick and attempted to contact covermore for two days straight through various routes to no avail, even through their emergency button. I then attempted to email our customer advisor and to this day I'm yet to hear back. We paid for the captain's package for no assistance. I do not recommend covermore insurance provided through flight centre. It was definitely a scary experience falling ill in America and not having any help back home. I don't recommend United Airlines either. Our bags went missing from our connecting flight,we got delayed on most flights and we almost missed our connecting flight from SFO-BNE. It definitely could have been a better experience all round.

Fantastic experience: 10 years ago, I had a negative experience at another Flight Centre. I only went back to the company because I had a gift card. However, Joy Le was so helpful, competent and pleasant, I left with the reassuring confidence that I could go on holiday without having to worry about anything.
