Negative experience: Given plenty of information on places to eat and drink and a couple of churches to visit which wasn’t really what we wanted. Better to help yourself to brochures and google things to do!

Fantastic experience: Went there on our arrival in Broome & was assisted by a lovely lady named Kerry. She greeted us with a smile & answered our every question with professionalism & patience. She even booked a day tour for us. She made the experience a delight.

Positive experience: Peak season in Broome. It was closed òn Sunday, when open was very busy, qued to talk to someone, more self service, like everywhere probably can't get staff.

Positive experience: Waited a long time in the queue, yes understand it's high season but when we got served I asked about things around town that didn't cost much, her demeanour changed and she said " just drive around a find things". Not helpful. I was hoping to be told of things of interest and history. Obviously only after the high end tourist commission.

Negative experience: Line up for water was ridiculous. 20 litres take 4 minutes to fill so had to wait over 2 hours behind several caravans. Only drinking water tap in town so had to use it. We spent 4 nights in a caravan park and 8 nights between Pender Bay and James Price Point spending over $3000 with local businesses and this is all the town provides

Fantastic experience: What a beautiful young lady we got her name is Shine. We needed some information on the Gibb River Road and Shine was so knowledgeable and went above and beyond to help us. We came away with big smiles and my Husband said that’s the kind of person you want when you’re looking for help you can tell she loves her job. Thanks Shine.

Negative experience: Stayed in Broome for 5 days , went to the visitors centre 3 days in row and waited from 20 minutes to 40 minutes to get information, only 2 people on the counter. It's ridiculous especially given the amount of tourists that visit the center. Went to Willie Creek it was amazing, you have to take your rubbish with you, went back into Broome to get rid if rubbish, no bins any where except at the side of the visitors center which h were all full. A few skips dotted around the place for rubbish disposal would be good .

Fantastic experience: We absolutely loved our experience at the Broome Visitor Centre. Shine was outstanding, providing detailed advice over and above our expectations. You could tell that she loved her job and passion for the region! So helpful!

Fantastic experience: We are going on a cruise, stopping in locations around Australia. I have been looking at visitor centres in these locations to decide what we do on our shore days and not wanting to over pay for and do the scheduled excursions from the cruise company. Out of all the available centres it is Broome that has given us a great guide of what their town has to offer. Many seem to ignore the cruise tourism coming to their location completely and not even mention it on their websites. Yet Broome has a map, guides and all the information I need to prepare. In doing this research I have been shocked at how many smaller towns are not capitalising on having 2000 tourists drop by for 8 hours and leave again. Allowing the cruise company to get a percentage of the money spent as most people are booking shore tours. For other small towns recieving cruise passengers who might read this, as a result of having this ability to plan- it is currently Broome where I will be bringing the most money directly into businesses' of their town because I feel empowered to make decisions about what I want to do there in my one day shore leave.

Negative experience: A visitor centre that is closed at the weekend is not a visitor centre.

Fantastic experience: Very nice staff. Arrived with the Greyhound and just wanted to use the bathroom and ask some questions. Not only did they satisfy me with that, but they also drove me to my hostel just out of kindness. Of course you should not go there to use them as a free taxi. They were closing at the time so it was just lucky. At the way a nice staff told me what to do.

Positive experience: Very helpful staff.

Negative experience: Staff couldn't have been less interested if they tried. We were not approached at all during our visit. Appreciate its the wet season, but pretty sure Broome still has a lot to offer, just don't go to the visitor centre expecting to find out.

Fantastic experience: Well worth a visit if you are here on holiday.

Negative experience: Don't visit Broome at Christmas/ New Year. Most things closed. The Visitor Centre closed , the Museum closed, half the restaurants in town closed. Most of the tourist services closed.

Positive experience: Great visitor centre, heaps of info for tourists. Would be good if they sold, sunglasses, hats and sunscreen, rather than just knick-knacks.

Positive experience: Really disappointing service from staff. Went in & asked about easy to do things around town or up to an hours drive away (needed to be close to town for personal reasons). Really got no information or explanation from staff. Got told to go up to Cape Leveque (ummm an 2.5hr drive?!?!l). Really didn't give us anything interesting to do around town (got heaps more information from our neighbours in the caravan park) I would have given this 1 star BUT... We then went back to book a camel ride as directly with the company wasn't ringing back. The lady that helped us was extremely helpful & efficient in booking this for us. So I will give 3 stars.

Fantastic experience: What an awesome Visitor Centre, the best one I've ever gone into. There's so much information around, and the staff are exceptionally helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. We were allowed to bring our dogs inside, and they even brought them out a bowl of water whilst we were there.

Negative experience: Asked about the conditions of the Gibb river Road in late September, for the rude lady to smirk whilst shaking her head and tell us we were too late, its too hot now and that it'd be "unfair on the emergency services" if we were to go and put ourselves at risk. We left feeling a bit deflated and offended but after chatting it through with the Derby visitor centre which was way more helpful and less judgemental, went as planned and had a wonderful time.

Fantastic experience: Large range of gift warehouse & brochures. Friendly helpful staff. Had to reschedule a tour, nothing was a drama, staff member had it all sorted in moments and even issued a small refund. Thank you so much

Negative experience: Most visitor centres (we've seen a few in 9 months!) are staffed by experienced and enthusiastic locals. We didn't get that - we got a guy trying to flog tours upon tours and didn't tell us about local attractions. He also said that there were no Broome pamphlets. REALLY? They were on display in front of him! Anyway we got our info and map. Just some honest feedback

Fantastic experience: Great info centre, with a dump point, which was great cause our park didn't have one. Heaps of brochures & videos to watch. We found Noelene a few gem. We had tried on-line to book our sunset camel ride, but all were fully booked. Noelene rang them & got us in. She also rang our Dampier Peninsula tour company & confirmed our trip for us. And, she gave us some great info on the next part of our trip towards Port Hedland. Very helpful indeed.

Fantastic experience: Thank you council for providing a dump point. It’s very busy here now it’s peak winter season. But good access for big rigs. Shame about the ‘first welcome’ that visitors get, seeing all those shopping trolleys and piles of rubbish and locals sleeping all over the grass, whilst you read the “respect our beautiful town” info board :) But never had any trouble!

Positive experience: Very busy, lots of hustle and bustle. Great selection of tour handouts leaflets. Broome WA is a very busy place with heaps to do. Loved the sunset whale watching tour.

Negative experience: Unbelievably rude older lady with longish grey/blonde hair. Listened to her interaction with multiple customers and then us. She did not successfully help anyone, even though their requests were very simple. she said “whatever” to a customer when she decided she didn’t want to help them. We simply asked if she could print tue parks pass we purchased and she told us she has never had anyone ever ask her that before and that she thought we were wasting her time.

Fantastic experience: A large store with lots of information about the local area and businesses. The staff are very friendly..Noelene really knows here stuff about the area. There is plenty of parking even for caravans.

Negative experience: Want to purchase some souvenirs but no way had to wait so slow only 2-3 staff available for service, they are friendly and patient however very low efficiency, sorry to bother but purchasing cannot be done online nor via visiting their website lol. Magnet, postcards out of stock. Toilets unavailable to use Most inefficient visitors centre I’ve ever visited. Don’t find excuse like staff shortage due to COVID, all other regional Australian towns are under the same COVID circumstances but none is like this one in Broome, which is considered one of the most popular regional holiday towns in regional Australia

Negative experience: Second time I wanna go there. Queue very long. Not worth waiting I'm faster searching my stuff

Negative experience: Queue is out the door and 2 staff spend over 40 minutes with each person. They make no effort to help more people. Left without getting any assistance.

Negative experience: Took a booking that was later cancelled by the operator. Received a refund, but not a full refund and have not answered my emails as to why. Also received some inaccurate information from them. Disappointing.

Positive experience: cool inside, well laid out, staff seemed informative and helpful. No public toilets.

Negative experience: Went in and got told " broome is basically closed in the wet season, there's not much to do " but that's wrong, even in the wet there's alot to do, don't be afraid to do your own research, we really got mislead here

Fantastic experience: I just got a very pleasant and good service from the lady (youngest face) she allowed me to use the toilet before I walk my way to the airport this morning. How lovely she is, good people always exist. She is the most lovely girl and she made my day. Thank you for your wonderful assistance and happy face. My pleasure to be here. First timer visit Broome. I’m happy that I came in visitor Center before my flight back Perth. Thank you. ❤️

Positive experience: Very helpful staff once we got through the very big queue. There needs to be more staff employed. If customers are kept waiting for 30mins or more there's a more likely risk potentially of covid, the reason there's not more staff...

Positive experience: We were looking for any free camps, sent to a packed car park by the surf club, a trial supposedly, poorly run. Not the visitor centres fault of course.
