Positive experience: Dropped in to ask about attractions in the area that we could drive to in our 2x2 motorhome. The young fella Bennet was so helpful with ideas and maps. He also helped with suggestions for the various river cruise options and made the booking for us. A Worthwhile visit.

Positive experience: Lots of brochures and information. A big croc skin to look at. Maps and souvenirs to purchase - BUT no toilets. Also, you can't purchase national park passes here - you need to go to to the Parks and Wildlife Service Office (or buy your day pass on the way in to Mirima National Park).
Hi Joshua, thank you taking the time to leave your feedback. Toilets are conveniently located just a short 50 metre walk across the road at our beautiful White Gum Park - sorry you missed them. National Park passes are available both online (and we can print here at KVC for a small fee) or by visiting the Government Department - Parks and Wildlife office, which is just a short two-minute drive from the visitor centre. We hope you were able to pick up some valuable information, local maps and operator information for your visit and look forward to seeing you again sometime soon.

Fantastic experience: Helpful, friendly staff. WA NATIONAL PARKS PASS Despite the 2024 Guide saying you can buy passes at the centre you can’t. Save time by going straight to Parks & Wildlife on the corner of Ivanhoe & Coolibah, staff there are also helpful & friendly. Edited to add: At the end of our conversation they mentioned we could buy online and they could print it out at a cost.

Fantastic experience: Great service and knowledgeable staff. We went in during a busy period and there was about 5-6 staff on and they were all serving customers efficiently. We got given lots of great tips on attractions, experiences and places to eat plus they recommend dog friendly attractions. We've been twice and both times the service was exceptional. We felt like they wanted to help us and wanted us to enjoy the beautiful Kimberley & Kununurra. So far the recommendations have been spot on!

Hi Dandara, thank you for the feedback. As self funded, not for profit organisation the bank fees we are charged for transactions is very hard to absorb. Cash payments are welcome for any amount under or over $5. Thank you for your understanding.
Negative experience: Recieved an email from the Kununarra Visitor Centre to say I had won. I emailed, but the email was not delivered! Can you please advise how I claim my $10,000 voucher? Edit: received a reply to thus review saying the email sent advising I had won, was an error. However, I never received a follow up email to advise me of that. Therefore, I stand by my one star review
Hi Karen, thank you for feedback. Not sure why you are suggesting our phone is disconnected as that is definitely not the case. All of our emails and phone numbers are correct and connected. On another note, the email forwarded on Saturday was our error, the competition had been drawn and prize claimed within the guidelines of the competition. Once again, thank you for your feedback. Edit: You now amend your comment taking out the misinformation about our telephones being disconnected and the email was not delivered, but then suggest you did get an email. Human errors do happen, and this was absolutely a human error. Whilst this experience hasn't been great, we would welcome to you come and visit us in Kununurra.

Negative experience: No drinking water taps or fountains here. We were sent to the Showground but it looked like a caravan park so no water for us there. No taps in parks that we could find. Only the Puma petrol station has water. Are they short of water in Kunanurra? Lake Argyle seemed pretty big to me (2nd biggest water reservoir in Australia).
Hi Michael, in relation to your review and rating, the showgrounds does allow water top ups for a very small charge. There are 7 caravan parks in Kununurra, all who have great facilities and give the opportunity for you to fill water tanks, catchup with laundry duties and many other services you may require. Perhaps your review and rating would have been best shared with the Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley rather than Kununurra Visitor Centre, as we do not provide water services to the town. Happy to provide you with contact details.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff! I came to Kununurra for the Bungle. Sadly there were too many reasons that stopped me to go. The staff was patient and told me many places to go Instead. And all the places are amazing! Made me move on from the sadness of the Bungle. Also love the crafts there!

After trying very hard to get you on the tours you were hoping to do, we were disappointed that you missed out this time. Our team work tirelessly to help where we can, however it is often difficult with time constraints of our visitors and operators who may not have availability at the time. Our philosophy is CARE - Customers are Really Everything, and our team certainly have this philosophy with every guest. We are saddened to hear you didn't feel that we were friendly today.

Fantastic experience: The visitor centre & its staff are great they deserve 5 stars. Dealing with the number of people they do on a daily basis in a tourist season that is so short. The town is just alive with camper vans caravans, camper trailers mobile homes and 4WD with roof top tents.

Positive experience: Staff helpful. Very disappointing that in Kununurra there is nowhere to fill up your water tanks on your van or camper for remote travel. For example Carnarvon had lots of dedicated fill up spots. All signs always say be prepared for remote travel but sad that you can't follow that advice. All caravan parks where full but the only advice we where given was to go to a caravan park. This has to be rectified soon.

Fantastic experience: We booked our Lake Cruise and Bungle Bungles flight over the phone earlier in the year. We were having trouble doing it on line so we called and the staff couldn't have been more obliging and helpful. When we arrived we found the same friendliness and help. Thank you you're a good team

Fantastic experience: We went to the Kununurra Visitor Centre to get help planning our Kimberleys holiday. We me the most helpful person Kel, Who knew everything about the region. She helped us with Wyndham, Lake Argyle, The Bungle Bungles and the Gibb River Road. She also booked a cultural tour of the Bungles with tips also on the best way to get there and where to stay. She could not be more pleasant, enthusiastic and helpful. On top of that she filled us in on her favourite coastal highlight of the West Coast and Karijini. The Centre is easy to find, light and airy and very well set up with very well informed staff.

Positive experience: Looks closed, enter via Pennys Gifts next door. Seems an odd way to run a tourist place where people don't necessarily know where to go. Nice once inside. Edit: If its open, unlock the doors on the obvious entry point !!

Negative experience: Closed today despite sign on door saying open daily til Sept 30th
Hi Keira, the sign on the door says closed Saturdays and Sundays, the Argyle Homestead Museum is open 7 days to the end of September as per the sign. Thank you for your understanding as the staff are exhausted after working more than 60 hours/week for the last 10 weeks.

Negative experience: Want info on the Bungle Bungles forget it. Uninterested staff with no real information on areas that are close to them. Also note you cannot get WA park passes here. Go straight to the Parks and Wildlife Center in town where you can get all the information and passes you want.

We were there today to book a sunset cruise and it was a little more complicated than I m sure it needs to be… however Elle and her manager gave us time and info and were even pleasant when I d given them the wrong dates !! Hats off to u guys, we haven’t experienced that much good customer service in too many places in WA
