Fantastic experience: The cruise was great from start to finish. The staff on board, Gunter, Dragan, catering, bar and the room attendants were faultless. The attention, respect and consideration was over and above what I expected. No request was too hard. The heart of the cruise the Captain and those who kept the vessel running were great. Fantastic experience: My expectations were exceeded on this holiday. The staff were wonderful, the food was spectacular, the cleanliness was of a high standard and the drinks were free flowing. Nothing was too much trouble and the all inclusive package price worked well for me.

Positive experience: If you are in the 60s or 70s demographic, (let's be honest that mainly the customer base) and have any physical disability you will be hard pressed to do the sites as there is so much walking long distances, the ship was not docked close enough to your destination and you had to be bused into sites. The ship also broke down a couple of times, leaving us to miss out on a couple of villages. For young fit people great, older ones not so great. The staff are out of this world, so hard working, they could not be faulted, and the cruise director is amazing. The 3 stars are given because of the staff.

Fantastic experience: We’ve recently returned for our first APT trip – a 21 day tour of Vietnam and Cambodia that gave us a fascinating insight into the history, culture and everyday life of local people. Our accommodation was superb, comprising comfortable, standard rooms in five-star hotels, a deluxe wood-panelled cabin on the Au Co cruise ship and a beautiful, stunningly spacious, well-appointed Angkor suite on APT’s ship Mekong Serenity. Food was varied, plentiful and of very good quality, with western options available in addition to Vietnamese and Cambodian cuisine. Special dietary requirements were also well catered for. There were invariably more culinary delights on offer than one had space for. Beverages in the form of delicious cocktails, wines from across the globe and soft drinks were much appreciated. We enjoyed the variety of excursions on offer, which included fascinating local markets, colourful temples, organic vegetable farms, craft workshops, gin distillery, city walks and historic sites. We did, however, feel that visits to Cu Chi Tunnels and the Red Bridge Cooking School should be Freedom of Choice options, although we thoroughly enjoyed the boat trips there and back. The unusual modes of transport, such as sampans, basket boats, tuk tuks, cyclos, and rickshaws, that we experienced were good fun. Our tour director Mr Dy was absolutely brilliant, knowledgeable, entertaining and caring. The cruise director Jason was a live wire and very competent. The tour guides were professional, informative, engaging, and sometimes very funny. They also helped us negotiate the chaotic traffic on the roads. The staff in hotels and onboard ships were friendly, efficient and diligent. Our Butler Benley was very attentive and the girls in the spa were proficient. For us, the highlights were the karst scenery of Halong Bay, historic cities of Hoi An & Hue, watching life along the Mekong River, the Angkor Complex, farewell dinner accompanied by Apsara dancers at Theam’s Gallery and our retreat on the ship. We also greatly enjoyed the camaraderie of our fellow travelers. We enjoyed the whole experience so much that we are now looking at other tours with APT.

Fantastic experience: Magnificent! I experienced an amazing magical journey from Budapest to Amsterdam. From the moment I stepped on the ship it was a dream come true. The staff were exceptionally and went beyond any expectation, the food was delicious and the entertainment was fantastic. The small quaint towns we visited were truly magical and stunning. Every moment was pure bless.

Fantastic experience: We had a delightful journey through Vietnam/Cambodia made all the more enjoyable by the knowledgeable tour guides, especially Mr Tea in Hanoi with his wit, humor and insights into the day-to-day working lives of locals and going well out of his way to ensure we enjoyed our time in Hanoi.

Cabins very good and always clean and tidy, beds turned down at night with a chocolate on the pillow! 15 days and it ran so smoothly, no hick ups. Fantastic experience: My 21 day Vietnam/Cambodia Tour was an absolute success in every possible way!!! The guides, the places, the food , the scenery, the locals, the excursions and more were ALL first rate. Accommodation was perfect in every way. The experience has left me hopefully a better person on many levels. I feel forever changed and grateful.

Positive experience: The cruise down the river was good, the food on board was excellent, the service by the staff was great.The problem was the area. Romania,Bulgaria, Croatia,Serbia were wrecked buy t he former Soviet Republic and were not very inviting, and that is putting it mildly.The only city that was ok was Budapest, and the country of Hungary.At least they have been working to erase the Soviet era.

Fantastic experience: This was our first river cruise with APT. We were thrilled with the whole trip. Absolutely everything was catered for. All of the Signature and chosen tours were great. Highest of compliments to all the staff. Everyone from the Captain down to the housekeeping staff were so friendly happy and helpful. I have to make a special mention to our waiter Win in the restaurant. He was so professional always had the most happy smile and looked after us exceptionally well. We tried to find the same seating so we could be looked after by him. We went to The Chief’s table for my husband Steve’s birthday and it was very special again with everyone going out of their way to make his day great. Clearly APT have exceptional Chef’s. The meals were all wonderful and such a brilliant selection. Also want to mention Elsie our room attendant from housekeeping. A lovely young girl and she always had our room spotless. Positive experience: this group of 38, was the largest that I have ever traveled with on our 24 day Spain and Portugal, We were then joined by over 55 or more in Lisbon creating congestion and confusion on the rest of the trip The four Seasons Hotel breakfasts all 3 disgusting and on tour all 3 buses arriving at stops and destinations at the same time, so much for a,p,t small group tours. Oporto, a beautiful place except we saw little, owing to being moored so far away and pontoons broken and damaged and badly lite too, dangerous to walk. come on a,p,t you can do better than this

Negative experience: This cruise was a huge disappointment for my husband and I. The ship was tired. Our friends couldn't open their balcony windows and no effort was made to even try. There were no hygiene protocols in place and we were all sick. The food was sub-standard with tired looking fruit. I had better food on our plane. Unprofessional guides who looked totally disorganised and too many people for them to handle. We were loaded on buses with pickpockets. Absolutely unacceptable. This is the first time I have ever made a complaint but I will not be going on another APT cruise nor will I ever be recommending APT. Over priced and under delivered. Please take these critisms seriously.

Positive experience: Great trip, great experience but would have liked one more day at Wilpena Pound to have more time to explore and do more of the walks, also would liked to have the opportunity to experience a dark sky.

Fantastic experience: Recently travelled on Apt to Tasmania on the Tasmania Complete 12 day bus tour on 22 October 2024.I am gluten and dairy intolerant but was so impressed with each menu and dish that was offered to me at my meal times.The chefs and staff at the hotel venues and restaurants went out of their way to accommodate my intolerances.I will always remember their professional expertise.The sweet menue was exceptional.

Fantastic experience: Having just completed the European River cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest with my partner I have nothing but praise for the cruise and the and most importantly the crew from the Captain right down to the staff who secure the ship when it is ties up.The tour Director was exceptional who really knew her job.But the staff in the Restaurant were brilliant.Nothing was a problem for them.I cannot speak highly enough of the entire staff.The food while on board was superb.Equal to any 1st class Restaurant that I have been to. The tours that we took were brilliant, very informative and the Castles and Palaces were a sight to behold. The only problem we encounted was the long flight from Sydney to Amsterdam via Singapore,but it was well worth it. Fantastic experience: We just did our first river cruise with APT and it was amazing! From our local travel agent to the APT travel adviser, the cruise director, the captain, the managers and all staff members, they made us feel very welcome and comfortable through the entire process of planning, booking and then cruising. Fantastic experience: We have just come back from an APT 21 Days Best of Vietnam & Cambodia; it was fantastic experience. commenced on 27 of sept to 17 of Oct.2024. It was the first tour etc we have done with APT; it will defiantly not be the last. The whole trip was super organised. This trip is worth going on for people who love 5 stars resorts/hotels all very luxurious. We like to give a big shout out to Son our tour director he helped myself and my wife on several occasions. And also, our trainee tour guide Tim was also very helpful.

Their knowledge and passion for NZ, along with their friendly approach to accommodating everyone's needs was brilliant. A wonderful group of friendly people to travel with. Positive experience: I was disappointed in this APT Portugal river cruise. The staff were excellent. The MS Estrela ship on our Portugal cruise was not. It was advertised as a brand new ship but it had maintenance issues. Our “ French Balcony” window was jammed, remaining in a stuck position barely open. Our bathroom door was stuck and water sprayed onto the floor. Others had issues too. Many flickering lights around. I feel because of the quick turn around in cruises there is no time made to fix these issues. The engineers on board were unable to do it. The food was excellent and the staff too. Portugal was interesting though we experience alot of rain. I hope my review improves the situation

Fantastic experience: Our APT trip through central Australia was a delight from beginning to end. Our fantastic driver/guide looked after us all and ensured we saw the best of Uluru, Kata Tjuṯa, Kings Canyon, Simpsons Gap, Standley Chasm and Ormiston Gorge. An unforgettable experience. Fantastic experience: Recently spent time in Vietnam and Cambodia travelling with APT on the Mekong Serenity. A great trip. The accommodation in Saigon, Siem Reap and on the Mekong Serenity was all excellent. The food and service were also outstanding. The people we met at every location were very friendly, welcoming and helpful at all times. A very enjoyable trip involving a lot of great cultural experiences.

Fantastic experience: Contrasts of Africa 24 days! Could not fault it. Such a diverse tour, so many animal safaris plus Victoria falls, wine region, train ride dinners, cruise, hot air balloon ride, helicopter ride and more. Both tour directors were amazing. Love touring with APT their inclusions are the best!

Fantastic experience: Our trip to Vietnam and Cambodia was fantastic. The guide was outstanding. We loved the land journey into the mountains and the beautiful Hoi An. The Mekong Serenity which is APT's new boat on the Mekong was superb, along with the staff on it. But it was the people of Vietnam and Cambodia that made this trip, friendly, open and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: The tour of South Korea by Travel Marvel was conducted very well. The guide Jenny Kim was excellent. She knows the sites well n her explanations were excellent. The hotels were fairly comfortable and were situated well within the cities.

Fantastic experience: An amazing 15 days exploring the WA coastline from Broome to Perth. Wonderful guides Kylie and Dean made this experience exceptional. So well organized and full of information to give us a deeper understanding of the land and the people who live there . True Australian outback journey with really comfortable transport and wonderful accommodation options . Would highly recommend this company for their high level professional approach to ensuring all of us had a memorable and exciting holiday .

Fantastic experience: Hilary and Simon gave us an unforgettable 4WD small group tour to Wilpena Pound and the Barossa Valley.

Positive experience: Unsatisfactory tight daily schedules for leaving after each stops leaving not much time for sleep, breakfast and continuation for the next leg of our journey. Arrival times and departures time should be reviewed. Some dinners and breakfast were not to the standard expected of APT especially farwell dinners. Some faimont hotels rooms has deteriorated since out stay few years ago. Appreciated your tour director enthusiasm to please! Majority of your customers are of 60 plus retiree I know there is a cost control in your pricing for customers but I am prepared to pay more for this trip package if it suits

Positive experience: Cruise was brilliant, great ship, crew, food/wine, excursions. Disappointed that there was no further information from APT about the cruise itinerary and what to bring after receiving the booking confirmation/invoice. Others who booked directly with Captain Cook or other sites received info on what to bring, special dress nights etc.

Fantastic experience: Magnificent Europe from Amsterdam to Budapest was an excellent introduction to river cruising with APT. Well organised and most enjoyable visiting such a variety of different places.

Fantastic experience: A thought provoking and interesting experience through two countries that were plagued with conflict and war and now are displaying amazing resilience and joy. APT provided us with luxury, but the people of Vietnam and Cambodia filled us with laughter and hope and greater faith in the human spirit.

Fantastic experience: Overall we had a lovely holiday. The food was amazing as were the tour guides in both South Korea and Japan. The hotels we stayed in were all fabulous and in great locations. We have two areas where we think the trip could be improved; we felt that the group size (14) in south Korea was perfect but in Japan it was too large (30). Also, usually when we arrive to start our holiday we have a meal with our fellow travelers and are introduced to our tour guide and given information about the upcoming trip. This is counted as day one! I think that to call this day one is quite cheeky especially as in Japan we did not have a meal but a small appetizer with a small drink and were sent on our way with paperwork having barely seen our fellow travelers. Other than these two issues we have enjoyed several trips with APT and will continue to travel with them.

Fantastic experience: The tour was well planned and places we visited were interesting and enriched our understanding of the countries we toured. The tour director was exceptional and tireless in his efforts to ensure all travellers have the best experience and enjoyment of the tour.

Positive experience: Wasn't the experience we thought the tour was going to be. We had typhoon weather that didn't help. After doing the the grand Europe river cruise in 2019 our expectations were high for another 5 star experience The ship we were on in halon Bay was a let down. And itinerary not intended the most popular tourist destinations like the Golden hands and train St and such experiences should have been included in the itinerary. Motel accommodation was 5 star all the way. And the new Mekon river ship was wonderful. I know it's a 3rd world countries we travel through. But some of the tours were not that interesting. Over all we still love APT as a travel company and will still use them in the future.

Fantastic experience: We enjoyed a 20-day trip to parts of South America - Chile, Argentina, Brazil & Peru. Very caring and knowledgeable senior guide who was with us throughout and great local guides, terrific experiences, amazing hotels & restaurants, delicious food, good quality land transport. Fantastic experience: Just returned from a 22 day tour of Canada and Alaska. APT really delivered. We were given premium accommodation, an outstanding tour director - Mary - and a wonderful driver Lovepreet. I would be happyto tour with APT again.

Positive experience: Great team and vehicle for this type of travel. The distances covered are huge and therefore there can't be enough stops to actually experience very much along the way in order to get from north to south of Australia in two weeks. Weather comes into the mix and really impacted our trip. We saw Uluru only once, under cloudy skies, no sunrise or sunset viewing was possible due to unseasonal heavy rainfall, missed Lake Eyre area altogether and couldn't fly over Wilpena Pound due to strong winds. Arrived back home feeling quite disappointed, and probably won't do this type of travel again. Accommodation and food were an extreme mix of basic to luxury and gourmet.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely loved the entire river cruise. Staff were amazing always so cordial and helpful. They bent over backwards for my dietary needs - amazing effort. Cruise director Akosh was super knowledgeable always sharing his wealth of info with us. We have definitely been relaying this to our friends. There were only 2 minor suggestions we would make. One is that it would have been helpful to have an iron available for the cabins without laundry service and the second is that it would have been wonderful to have available potato crisps. Not that we were short supplied food - au contrare. In fact all food was tasty and plentiful. Chefs table dinners were top class. Drinks were always flowing. So a huge thank you to all the APT staff and crew that provided our memorable river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest. Thank you so much. Dani and Norm

Fantastic experience: We had a great holiday, but it did seem a bit rushed, at times, with some very early starts to get from one place to another. We really appreciated being able to spend a couple of days in most places, though. Such a beautiful country, enjoyed with a great group of people and our tour director was fabulous, as was our driver.

Positive experience: The interface between APT and Captain Cook Cruises was not clear, and getting detailed information was not easy. The ship experience was good, but the non-snorkelling activities were limited.

Fantastic experience: Our Cooktown and Cape York tour Natasha and Grant are a great team. We had a fantastic experience because of their knowledge of the area we were journeying through and their relaxed and caring manner. Everyone felt safe with Grants driving and Natasha provided great information along the way. Thanks guys.

Negative experience: APT has requested that I post a Google review of my recent trip on their new river vessel, the Duoro Estrella. Usually I would not do this however, given the holiday cruise was sold to me as a luxury cruise holiday, I would have expected the vessel would have been commissioned in readiness for their customers. This was not the case! The ships toilets malfunctioned on 4 separate occasions in 8 days of cruising, cupboard panels were not installed and even though I had reported this early to the cruise staff, the problem was not attended to at all. On another issue, given the holiday was sold as “Luxury”, I would have expected the serving of premium wines from the regions that were visited. Well I took a photo of the served red wines and having now visited other areas in Portugal I find they are very inexpensive supermarket wines sold everywhere. Most of them are below 5 Euros each. So my question mark over the “LUXURY” cruise deal??? I write this thoroughly as I have had many wonderful luxury cruise experiences with APT and had expected the same quality on this occasion. Sadly, and it is sad that APT has dropped its guard in providing this holiday. The cruise vessel is not yet up to standard and sadly, I have lost my confidence with APT. There were other issues that did not directly impact me so I shall not comment in this Google Review. I will however mention some when I provide my personal feedback form to APT soon. APT, this cruise was quite disappointing! Thank goodness the cruise staff and tour guides tried their best for us.

Fantastic experience: Having had an amazing tour of the Kimberleys with APT I am very keen to try more of their tours to see if it shapes up to be as fabulous as the Kimberleys. Planning already, maybe Europe Rober Cruise

Fantastic experience: The new small ship on the Duro River was very nicely finished, and the staff were delightful and super helpful - as usual. Very much enjoyed the walking tour of Porto and the special winery lunch.

Fantastic experience: A wonderful trip through Vietnam, up the Mekong and through Cambodia. Well organised absolutely no hiccups along the way. Excellent tour director Mr Luc, ably assisted by many local guides. Excellent food, accomodation and organised tours and events. And the final nights gala dinner in the Gallery was something very special. Six stars if I could!

Positive experience: Hubby & I cruised on APT Amastella from Budapest to Amsterdam from 1-15 September, 2024. The average age of the passengers was 70 plus. It’s not a cruise for young people. At age 62, I was among the youngest. The ship & crew were lovely. The food was plentiful, good but not great. In my opinion it catered to Australian tastes, meaning, a bit bland. There was no variety with morning & afternoon teas. They were identical every day. We were very disappointed with the shore excursions especially to Salzburg. It took almost 3 hrs to reach the town by coach, then we were taken to a huge chalet where we were served a hot lunch of 1 piece of overly salted chicken & a mound of white rice. Many complained. The excursion in Amsterdam was to a kiddy theme park with a few windmills & dozens of souvenir shops. The evening entertainment commenced at 9.30pm which was far too late considering 99% of the passengers were elderly & had been up early in the a.m. to go ashore. There was one boring musician who played Shadows tunes on an electric guitar. He had zero personality & played the same deafening racket for two weeks. It was not age appropriate music, if one could call it that. If one wanted to escape from bothersome passengers (and there were plenty) there was only one lounge area otherwise there was the outside on the deck where smokers gathered. At times we had to sit outside in the cold or in my cabin, due to one inconsiderate passenger who constantly saturated herself in heavy perfume which resulted in pounding headaches for many. The ship is not huge & in a confined space one should not inflict overpowering scent on others. Many passengers contracted colds in this floating disease incubator. In my opinion, the cruise was too long, too expensive & very boring. After 3 days, I wanted to disembark. There was nothing remotely “luxury” about the cruise. For almost $30,000 for 2 weeks (including business class airfares & 2 nights accom in Budapest) we did not think it was worth it. No more cruises for us.

Positive experience: Our River cruise of the Danube and the Rhine rivers was a much anticipated holiday. The cruise ship AmaStella was as expected. Staff were friendly and experienced in all areas of the ship from maintenance to food service to housekeeping. We especially loved the butler service each day. Off shore excursions were well planned and paced so all could enjoy. We had a fabulous time but would have liked more shore excursions as we are active. If we had know that the downstream journey allowed more of this we would have chosen to go this way.

Fantastic experience: We enjoyed a well planned & hassle free rail tour of Switzerland. Our tour guide, David Godfrey, was excellent, in group management, location information & travel details. Nothing was too much trouble. 11 out if 10 for David. The tour visited sites & provided activities that we would not have experienced if we had planned the trip ourselves. An overall excellent tour, with plenty of new experiences & the most beautiful scenery.

Fantastic experience: A wonderful experience, Australia is an amazing place to live and explore, WA is magnificent, still so much more to see and do. My Kimberley trip was well worth it, will never forget the places I visited and hope to return one day.

Fantastic experience: We cruised the Kimberley Coast with APT and Ponant on the La Perouse. The 10 day journey started in Broome and ended in Darwin. It took in scenic, cultural and wildlife stops along the way that were spectacular and memorable for all the right reasons. At the end of the dry season our only compromise was little water at the falls but the journey with red rock cliffs, mangroves and waterways with marine and birdlife was outstanding. Life on board was nothing short of five star and our exploration crew always had our safety and meeting our expectations as a priority. This included modifying the sequence of stops to align with the most beneficial viewing times or tides. All in all we felt that every effort was made to make the trip as memorable as it could be.

Negative experience: After paying over $40,000 for a holiday a lifetime we were so disappointed with this tour of the Aegean and Adriatic from Istanbul to Venice. So many excuses as to why the ship couldn't dock in Turkish Ports, usually attributed to weather yet before our eyes other cruise ships were departing and entering port, suspicions arose when a zodiac went to shore and returned before the announcement that because of the wind (yes 16km/H) we had to spend the day at sea. Endless docking delays meant that on one tour it was delayed into the heat of the day. Even the local tour guide was surprised that we were doing it so late because of the heat which resulted in 6 people needing to be treated in an ambulance that had to be called. When asked if APT were planning any activities to replace the many activities and tours already missed the APT tour director's response was "I'll give you the customer service number". Way to treat your customers APT. Having said all that, the Ponnant cruise ship service and staff were excellent and the tour leader from Venice to Rome was wonderful.

Positive experience: Tour director first class, train first class but we did not enjoy the tour bus content. Too many stops that were obvious for the driver to rest, but stops at supermarkets for us to pick up a ‘ picnic meal’ were not ideal. No existent drinks included with meals poor for a 5* holiday

Positive experience: Interesting, well organised cruise. Wonderful staff. Nice cabin. Although good we expected meals of a higher standard.

Fantastic experience: The Lake Eyre 7day tour was amazing. Outback South Australia is so vast and beautiful. Absolutely enjoyed our trip

Fantastic experience: Excellent trip in nearly every regard and the measures taken by APT/Travelmarvel to make up for the late changed sailing location was exemplary. The only area where I was a little disappointed was in the provision of the included drinks at lunch and dinner times. Quite often the drinks waiters were nowhere to be seen and, when they did appear they did not regularly check with the table's drinks position...it was almost as if they had been told to "go slow" on the service. I have been on other cruises with a drinks inclusion but have never previously experienced anything comparable to what occurred on this trip.

Positive experience: Itinerary was great but the standard of hotels outside of Istanbul was substandard and in no way came close to luxury. I don’t think having a toilet with a seat and the ability to flush is too higher an expectation. Contracted tour directors did not appear to have the authority or ability to correct even minor issues without reference to “head office”. This was a major change from previous experiences.

Fantastic experience: APT always delivers on a fantastic holiday. Experienced friendly tour leaders with amazing knowledge and respect of the Kimberley. Although record temperatures we were very well looked after on our walking and swimming adventures. Food was delicious. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Vietnam and Cambodia was the most amazing trip. People everywhere were so friendly. The buzz of the cities to the lush countryside, full of the most amazing blooms. These countries fed our souls. Seeing the different ways of life, where people were all so pleased to see you. The children all playing together, physical games, not on iPhones. The food is incredible too. We both loved our trip, we are enriched forever by our experiences. John and Denise Harrison

Fantastic experience: We had an amazing trip. First we travelled by train around Switzerland, we saw and did things we never thought we would get the chance to do. We went up mountains, walked through ice caves, had small lake cruises, walked to a lot of places. After that we cruised from Amsterdam to Budapest, it was just wonderful cruising down the rivers and canals. We travelled through 68 lochs, which was fascinating, visited towns along the way and learnt about their history.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I loved our tour of Switzerland, our Tour Director was fabulous(David Godfrey) we could recommend this tour to everyone. The train trips throught the alps was breath taking The accommodation was first class and the helicoptor ride to the Matterhorn is a must do, what a beautiful country, Every place we stayed from Lisbon to Geneva did not disappointt .had a great time

Fantastic experience: A wonderful experience. Top driver/guide to explain some of Australia’s most stunning country side and history. Each evening there was a great sense of peace after exploring so many beautiful areas. Look forward to doing this trip again.

Fantastic experience: APT organised our travel and when we had a problem with luggage , a representative immediately came to our aid which was appreciated. I had some special food requirements and the staff accommodated me even arranging a takeway on one occasion. My husband and I were very satisfied with the service and would travel with APT again for a stress free holiday.

Negative experience: Not the standard we were accustomed to pre covid. Stopping at commercial ports and bus ride to excursion. It was all a bit rushed. Food and bar was ordinary as was the service. Not enough trained staff to meet needs of a full ship. All the niceties' have been trimmed. Not likely to return to this part of the world

Positive experience: Our Cruise down the Aegean and onto Istanbul through the Mediterranean was memorable on the 5 Star L'Austral. The staff & crew were fantastic led by Captain Nicholas. Our Cruise Director, Tomas, was cool & in-charge & our Guest lecturer, Kenneth, knowledgeable but not overwhelming. All our local guides were most knowledgeable although some were not as attentive to their clients, some of whom were infirm, as they should have been. A major disappointment at embarkation was the lack of an APT representative in the foyer of the Hilton Molino Stucky hotel Venice, as promised. This led to chaos and much stress. I am unlikely to use APT for future cruises unless this issue is resolved satisfactorily. It has happened before.

Positive experience: Many of the niceties we have experienced previously is missing. The meals and the service were below standard expected for a 4 star cruise. Meals lacked flavour and taste mostly. The staff would not get a job because they lack the skills in basic service. Leaning over the top of people when serving and clearing tables. The bar staff seems to lack training in preparing and presentation for drinks. Cocktails were a mystery for staff. There were not enough staff serving drinks and many orders forgotten. Excursions and proximity to towns required buses travelling up to an hour reach destinations and so called gentle pace walking left many of us behind. The signature events were great all 2 of them. The entertainment lacked variety. Given the itinerary was very tiring it was difficult to enjoy the entertainment. In summary, many of niceties we were used to have disappeared.

Fantastic experience: Just completed APT's Italian Sojourn and Adriatic and Aegean Seas adventures. Both were amazing. Can highly recommend.

Positive experience: I enjoyed my third Ponant cruise and APT touring experience very much, however the food experience was not as good as previous Ponant cruises. Also while shore excursions were mostly very good, there was a missed opportunity with the Gallipoli excursion. The morning time slot was too short. A whole day touring this iconic site for Australians and New Zealanders would barely be enough. The afternoon excursion to ASSOS was not great. The ruins were completely underwhelming.

Fantastic experience: This was a great trip seeing remote Australia - tour leader Scotty was terrific and made the trip one to remember - did I mention the constant bluest of skies ? Food was excellent and lodgings great!

Fantastic experience: SENSATIONAL would be the first word that comes to mind!! Everything goes smoothly - organised by the expert cruise director and the amazing crew on board!! Just incredible sights along so many cities and towns in Germany, not to mention Budapest and Amsterdam. So many highlights, but there was an operatic recital arranged only for our ship, which was so wonderful. Could not recommend APT more highly!

Positive experience: We thoroughly enjoyed the trip to Lake Eyre, and all the interesting things and places that we saw along the way. Our driver Mark took great care of us, ensuring that we all had a safe journey, as well as providing interesting commentary along the way.

Fantastic experience: Excellent arranged tour with first class hotels and the Mekong Serenity. Fully escorted by first class tour guides and with a cohort of fellow explorers who wanted to do and see all that was on offer.

Fantastic experience: Great trip, wonderful sights and cities, best food ever experienced on a cruise but the best of all... fabulous cruise director! Extensive knowledge, great communicator and organiser and vibrant personality and showed genuine care for and interest in the travellers. As well, hotel manager, dining manager etc were first class and each of them contributed to the customer experience. Thanks all of you.

Fantastic experience: I would like to commend our guidesPeter for the first six days and Empapa for the last three days. Their knowledge of the two countries Tanzania and Kenya and their cultures … their passion for the animals and the care for the environment is just amazing.Each day they managed to find us a new adventure and new experiences. Not forgetting our tour director James who was part of the team , very knowledgeable ( like the guides) and who managed to smooth over any problems with little fuss. ( even managed to fix my friends shoes with some masking tape) James also kept us informed about the next days program with a debrief the night before and a detailed plan for the next day. Needless to say we loved our adventure and have come home for a rest. Robin Williams

Fantastic experience: Accommodation & on board food well provided & delicious. Would appreciate more authentic local tastes. Staff recommendations on shore eateries very good. Excursions very good, though constant emphasis on “helping the local economy“ can prove tiring - after all, that’s what we’re doing there anyway. Too many local markets selling local items more appreciated by local people. How about more museums & art galleries?
