Negative experience: They took 10% out of the current exchange rate. Worse than average. Go there if you want, just don't believe what they say. They'll lie to get the most out of your pocket. Other critical reviews are absolutely right, and responses from the store about such reviews are as fake as you can imagine.

Negative experience: I went to exchange AUD 850 to Indonesian Rupiah, and they initially offered me 7,000,000 IDR, which was significantly lower than the standard exchange rate. When I mentioned I would check other places, they suddenly increased the offer to 7,600,000 IDR, which was still quite low. This is the second time in a row I’ve had this experience at this location (Eastland Shopping Centre). A transparent business should have fixed rates or at least not change them within the same transaction. It feels like they intentionally offer lower rates unless you push back. I do not recommend this place – make sure to compare rates elsewhere before exchanging your money.

Negative experience: I would not recommend anyone using this place. After trying to buy AUD 500 worth of Korean Won. I was offered 377000 KRW. Knowing the official exchange rate is 1AUD=903 KRW. I mentioned I can get much better rates elsewhere for conversion rate over 850KRW. I was offered a "better" rate of 780KRW... I walked off.

Negative experience: This place isn't trustworthy. I tried to exchange 400 AUD for Thai Baht, and was initially offered only 7,200 Baht. After I pointed out the unfair rate and started to leave, they suddenly agreed to give me 8,000 Baht for 376 AUD. Be cautious and verify rates elsewhere before transacting here. Their trick is when you put a negative review they will respond that it is not related to their business.

Negative experience: They say they have competitive rates online but far from the case in person. Very much a rip-off and recommended to avoid at all costs.

Negative experience: Went in to exchange, their website showed different rates to what was offered in person. We got quoted 85.00 JPY to 1.00 AUD. When the website showed 96.00 JPY to 1.00 AUD. 30m down at flight centre quoted us 94.00 JPY to 1.00 AUD. I would not recommend seeing XC Exchange Ringwood.

Negative experience: I called and asked if they would match a competitor and quoted the rate. I was told they would match it. When I went to the Ringwood branch to buy some Euros the staff called the manager who said they would not match the rate. Obviously they just lied to me hoping I would go ahead with the purchase once I got there. Not a chance! And never again with this company.

Negative experience: Went to get a quote for japanese yen. the person working there quoted 14% less than what is quoted in their website. when asked, they started haggling and slowly increasing the exchage rate but still far below what even banks were converting at. please beware and ensure you know what the current exchange rate is or you might be scammed.

Negative experience: Had quite a lot of yen to exchange so it had to be ordered in which was fine. However I was told to come back Monday, they were then closed. So came back Tuesday and they said they didn't have it. Now have to go back again. Very frustrating to continue to go back and forth. Won't be using their service again. Now I had a very funny reply that I was displeased that Monday was a public holiday. In fact I mentioned this when I was told Monday and was reassured that it would be open. And I had a printed receipt that told me to come back on Monday. So no. I was not displeased about the fact it was a holiday but thank you for the condescension. I also was told on Tuesday at 3pm that the money was not there and to come back at 4pm. So technially yes, it was there on Tuesday. However as I could not wait around an hour after coming in already late in the day this was useless to me. If you are going to say money will be ready Tuesday I would suggest specifying that you mean right before closing time.
