Phil Hoffmann Travel Barossa Valley

Fantastic experience: First time ever going to travel agents. I'm looking to go on a short cruise in 2025. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Helpful, experienced a nice bundle of everything. I was offered a tea or coffee straight up, hell yes I said. My coffee even came with a little biscuit. Lauren, whom I had booked the appointment with, was knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, etc. I left with brochures and plenty of cruises to consider. Nothing seemed too hard for her. Lauren will be getting an abundance of emails with questions regarding the cruise I pick. Poor woman shouldn't have given me her card, But seriously, go to Phil Hoffman Travel. You won't be disappointed!

Positive experience: Our tour of South Africa was extremely interesting, seeing a very different country and culture. The trip was well planned so we knew what we were doing at all times. The accommodation, meals and bus travelling were excellent. The organisation of the safaris and tours was brilliant! Our tour leader was very caring and likeable. We did however have a few passengers with us that probably should have been discouraged, or prevented from taking this trip because of health issues and unrealistic needs. One of them could hardly walk and had great difficulty keeping up with the rest of the passengers who had to make allowances for him. Another felt that she should have a hairdresser available at all times and complained about it. A couple of others wanted priority treatment at all times with no regard for the rest of the group. This poor behaviour made it very unpleasant for the tour leader who felt that these individuals in the group were the worst she had ever had to manage. We had to support and encourage her to handle the issues that she had to deal with. The rest of the group had to not let the poor behaviour of these individuals spoil their holiday. This could have totally ruined the holiday for the rest of the group who had to support one another to deal with the bad behaviour. We feel that the travel agents possibly should have discouraged these people with their unrealistic expectations from taking this trip. While we had to cope with these people, the planning and work done by our agent, Amanda Charleson, was excellent and we are happy to use Amanda for any further travelling. We are very grateful for the immense amount of time and effort Amanda put into the planning of our trip, considering that Scenic chose to cancel our trip and the trip had to be totally rescheduled. Fantastic experience: We have had the absolute pleasure of dealing with Phil Hoffmann Travel for many years now in planning our last couple of cruise holidays. Especially during the challenging times of Covid, it is wonderful to be able to travel again. We have built a special relationship with our Travel Agent, Amanda, and nothing is ever too much trouble for her. Amanda knows us well and always ensures she assists us with all our travel plans from beginning to end, flights and transport if required and carefully guides us through the decision making and booking processes. Amanda keeps us well informed and checks all the details with us. Amanda is an absolute delight to deal with and always goes above and beyond to secure us a cabin in our preferred location. Our paperwork is always expertly prepared and ready for us. The Barossa Valley office is a lovely location, nice, clean and bright. Amanda always makes us feel very welcome. We even have lunch out to make the day even more fun for us. A big thank you to Amanda and the Phil Hoffmann Team for another enjoyable cruising holiday.

Negative experience: Left with a promise of a detailed email re our chosen cruise.....but still waiting....where has çustom service gone??
