Flight Centre Cherrybrook

Fantastic experience: We booked a holiday to the Maldives recently through Flight Centre Cherrybrook and were extremely fortunate to be looked after by Sam Stratton. From day one, he worked with us to ensure we got the best deals and of course the best service. There was a slight issue with one of the transfers and like a true professional, Sam kept emails and correspondence with the third party suppliers, holding them to their word. He worked tirelessly to get everything sorted for us, kept us in the loop and was always ready for a chat each time I visited the store. He kept his word and as promised, last week finalised all our paperwork and confirmation provided hard copies. We are preparing to travel in a few weeks and thanks to Sam and now relaxed and looking forward to the holiday. The centre staff as a whole are extremely friendly and helpful. We have booked holidays with them in the past and will continue to do so. Such personalised service in a very professional yet friendly manner. I highly recommend Sam and Cherrybrook Flight Centre for all your holiday needs.

Fantastic experience: After seven years of hiatus in travelling overseas to spend time with our grandchildren in the USA, we decided to take the plunge and book the travel to the USA this year. We went to our local Flight Centre and requested Shantia book the trip. Shantia had booked our trip to Darwin last year and we were delighted with her service and dedication. On this trip to the USA, we had some special requirements. We were going to book the hotel accommodation in Los Angeles using our frequent flyer points. We also wanted the air tickets to be around the $3,000 mark for my wife and I. We wanted to do the trip during the summer vacation in the USA so that we could spend more time with our grandkids. It was a mammoth task to get a low price in the peak period. Shantia patiently worked out several alternatives for us, but none of them were acceptable. Shantia did not lose her patients. She kept on trying. I had set an alert in Skyscanner for the return trip to Boston in August this year. Luckily, one day the price had dropped to close to $3,000 for the trip. I contacted Shantia and gave her the details of the flights. Within a few minutes, she was able to better the price indicated by Skyscanner and booked our trip. I admire Shania's professionalism, tenacity, knowledge of the travel industry and her pleasant demeanour which makes her a perfect travel agent. We will be booking our trip to New Zealand this summer and will be contacting her upon our return from the USA. Shantia deserves commendation and more than five stars. I would certainly recommend Shantia to anyone who wishes to travel overseas or interstate to book their travel.

It was done for us urgently but calmly, cheerfully & professionally with caring follow up after Qantas cancelled the flight. Their Emergency Care staff were excellent during after hours. Very impressive service.

Fantastic experience: Mark and Melanie are fantastic because they listen and provide options from experienced insight. I was travelling for work overseas, I provided my requirements and to my surprise they sorted all the flights and connections easily with shortest travel time end to end. I compared to my colleagues and they did not recieve this level of service. Closer to departure, Melanie called to check all documents are in place and to oversee travel insurance. Upon reflection, I had the easiest journey compared to my colleagues which is a testament of the teams trust.

Fantastic experience: After an extremely poor service from Castle Hill flight centre I was hesitant to use flight centre at all. However Shantia and the Manager here were definitely a redemption and everything went as you would expect. Nothing was too much trouble and the excitement of organising our beautiful trip was shared. The booking and the trip was smooth with no hiccups and wonderful memories were made. No hesitation in recommending Cherrybrook Flight Centre!

Negative experience: Zero stars. I had a Gift Card which wouldnt let me book online, so i had to go into a store. I get to Cherrybrook at 11am and was told no one would be able to serve me TODAY. I need to fly tomorrow so what am i supposed to do? I have a Gift Card that Flight Centre wont let me use online, and you wont serve me instore. Extremely poor service and my simple booking took less than 10 minutes to process once i drove all the way to Hornsby in Xmas traffic. So thanks for that. Also "I'm by myself today " doesnt wash when there was only one customer in the shop and you didnt even ask what i needed to start with.

Negative experience: I went into the store this morning and explained my flight request criteria to the really nice man Ruky attending to me. I had explained we didn’t have a significant budget so I would appreciate it if he could please pull up the cheapest fares possible. He pulled up the prices on his screen and showed me them. The prices were well over $1000 more than I found myself on Skyscanner across a number of airlines but also $1000 more than I subsequently found direct on the Qatar website itself (one example). One of the other attendants took over and explained that Skyscanner is different to the website and uses other untrusted sites (which I knew already) and whilst I was trying to show her that the prices they had pulled were significantly higher than direct with the airline, she shook her head, kept interrupting me, rolled her eyes and smirked and spoke to me in a very condescending manner. I then left because she was making me feel stupid, was treating me rudely and disrespectfully and she wasn’t listening to me… very poor service and really disappointed as have used flight centre before, and had wanted to again for this trip. Leaving this review in the hope they take note, as I don’t want anyone else to experience such a demeaning level of service again…

Fantastic experience: Mel was great, even though she was busy with clients with appointments all day and our requirements were VERY last minute. She would always find time for us, email promptly and it was only for 2 simple flights. Mel still treaded us as though it was a big holiday. I tried a few local travel agents, only to give them th eopportunity to make some money, knowing how easy it is to book online these days, I always like to let a real person book for me. No one was interested, except for Mel. It was really refreshing having someone kind and who went the extra mile. She even made sure the correct visa information was relayed. Fantastic experience: Sophie at FC Cherrybrook was an invaluable source of support during my mother's recent repatriation to Europe in NOv 2020. A plan that was 2 years in the making and simply 'had to go ahead', despite the craziness of the global pandemic. Sophie is patient, understanding, professional and communicative. We really could not have been in better hands during a very trying time. Despite her own stress at seeing her long-term office closed down temporarily (previously worked in Leichhardt) Sophie remained ever present, concerned and helpful. Could not recommed her and Flight Centre enough - when the proverbial hits the fan, or at any other time, skip those awful online booking sites and go with an expert who'll look after you all the way.
