Positive experience: Brilliant tour of both north and south islands of New Zealand. Our bus driver Riki and tour guide Nick were very professional, friendly and fun with great knowledge of their cultural heritage. Mainly good food and accommodation. Very clean and comfortable bus. Can highly recommend this touring company.

Positive experience: May 3 to May 15 2024 Our tour was truly extraordinary, as we were graced with perfect weather - crisp, cool, and sunny days with no wind to hinder our adventures. Fun group and Lindsay Ferguson our bus tour guide was awesome. The drive to Franz Josef was lengthy, and unfortunately, the Glacier is retreating prompting the organisers to reconsider future visits. Instead, I would recommend adding a night at the stunning Lake Tekapo for some unforgettable stargazing opportunities. Queenstown was awesome and the Steamboat TSS Earnslaw to Walter’s Peak high country farm for gourmet Bbq was amazing 2 night stay here at the Heritage which was very old and dated, noisy aircon would have been best to stay somewhere closer to the town city A visit to Dunedin proved to be underwhelming, with the city shutting down on a Sunday and leaving us with little to explore. It was a long drive for minimal enjoyment. Oamaru, on the other hand, was a charming and quirky town that left us wishing for more time to explore. The Steampunk museum was a highlight that we regret not being able to fully experience as we only had just over an hour stop there at Oamaru. Although advertised as a 10-day tour, the reality fell short. The first day consisted of just a dinner at the hotel, and the tenth day was dedicated solely to transportation to the airport. This left us feeling like the tour was not as complete as we had hoped. Milford Sounds was beautiful but overrated. Our favourite was Haast River safari jet boat, Lake Tekapo so beautiful, Mount Cook amazing though wish we had not arrived around 5pm as it was dark and we had to leave at 9am next morning. We were fortunate we had wonderful group

Fantastic experience: We have just returned from a Grand Pacific 10 day Ultimate tour of South Island of NZ. Absolutely stunning natural beauty , which takes your breath away at every turn. We felt spoilt in all of the accommodation & the ultimate coach we travelled in. Our Driver/Guide was exceptional with her knowledge, driving & people skills. Megan really excelled in her role. She was genuinely very caring & thoughtful. We are ever so glad that we chose this trip. Really a trip of a lifetime. A huge thank you to Megan for enhancing a wonderful holiday. The tour was excellent comfortable Hotels, coach and excursions. Many places we visited were not in any tourist book that we had read. I can’t recommend this company and this tour highly enough. Fantastic experience: 19 days of sheer luxury. We have just returned from this excellent trip around New Zealand. This was our first trip to New Zealand, we selected the small group tour as we have never travelled on a coach tour before. Just 20 people on a luxury business class coach. We loved everything about this trip. Our Driver Paul was so knowledgeable and experienced in getting us around this beautiful country. The places we visited, the hotels we stayed in and the attractions on offer were excellent. We certainly feel we have made the most of our time in NZ. Well done for exceeding our expectations for this holiday. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Just completed the inaugural 11 day Ultimate "Top of the South Island" Tour. This tour was booked last year whilst I was on the Ultimate 19day Road Rail and Coach Tour of both islands. Highly recommend Grand Pacific Tours as the best way to see NZ. Professional all the way. On this latest trip we were very lucky to meet the owner of the company, Peter Harding, join us and seek feedback on this new tour. Five star all the way, and so much care taken by our coach captain Dave who is a great ambassador not only for the company, but for New Zealand too. Well done Grand Pacific. I will be back to tour again

Negative experience: We finished our tour in November 2022 after waiting 2 1/2 years due to covid. We did the 19 day small group tour of New Zealand. The bus was set out for 20, supposedly with Wi-Fi (it worked about 10 % of the time). The bus was set for a small group but at the attractions there were hundreds. We went at Rotorua to the traditional Hangi, it was a bistro with several hundred people crammed into a small area. There was nothing cultural about the dinner especially the Covid19 that 5 of our group got. Several days later we were at Fox glacier, a town of about 249 residence and 8 of us were kicked off the bus. There was no empathy from the bus driver, no we'll look after you no sorry to see you go. We were dumped 3 hours drive to the nearest doctor with out transport, private or public with a deadly disease. We missed out on 8 days of our holiday, I did some investigating and found out that they would not be charged for a lot of what we paid for accommodation and attractions but we would not get compensated and so the company made money on us being sick. We had to pay for the accommodation and meals at fox glacier and the bus hire to get us back form Fox glacier to Christchurch. So we were lucky and our travel insurance helped eventually paying for the portion of trip we missed out on, we had to pay for our accommodation (at the most expensive place in town) and own transport (we had to pay for this up front). We were left stranded with no medical available with Grand Pacific uncaring and making money out of our sickness of which they put us in harms way ( absolutely no social distancing was practiced).

Fantastic experience: We have just completed a nineteen day ultimate coach of New Zealand We we’re very happy with our wonderful experience. The luxury coach was amazing as was all accommodations and meal options Even though the weather sadly affected some options our overall experience was excellent. The jewel in the crown however is Chris Hannah our tour leader and driver. Chris simply made our NZ tour ! His knowledge on all things NZ was beyond impressive. We cannot thank Chris enough for all his efforts Highly recommend this tour

Fantastic experience: My parents are currently on a tour with this company. Unfortunately mum took her expired passport to the airport and she lives 2 hours away. The cut a long story short this company was amazing to deal with. Mum got to her holiday. They did anything they could to help and reduce our stress levels.

Fantastic experience: We just completed a 19 day Coach Tour of both the North and South Islands of New Zealand. [It was the regular tour not the Ultimate Tour] This was our first guided tour and we found the overall organisation and service to be most professional, accommodation, meals and pre arranged tours etc met or exceeded our expectations. We were particularly impressed with our Tour Guide [Dennis Cummings], a true gentleman and most professional at his job.The Coach's we traveled in were comfortable and well presented. We would happily recommend Grand Pacific Tours based on our experience. The one negative to the [well] organised tour was with the long distances to travel most days and the time spent on the coaches together with the necessary early starts. Thank you Grand Pacific. Fantastic experience: Just returned from the thoroughly enjoyable 16 Day Highlights of New Zealand Grand Pacific Tour. I can't praise the organisation enough, even when hiccups like earthquakes and fire demanded route detours. Our wonderful drivers (Coach Captains) worked tirelessly with pride and humour to ensure our comfort, safely and enjoyment, ensuring we left NZ with a deep understanding of its geology, flora, fauna, history, development and culture. I return home (happily) exhausted but after 3 previous visits I'm satisfied the itinerary and pace were perfect to appreciate all the highlights in the limited time-frame. Our lively group of like-minded travellers ensured much laughter and enjoyment of many shared activities. VIP treatment, top-class hotels, (thankfully!) perfect weather - bonzer! Fantastic experience: 19 Day Rail, Cruise & Coach Holiday. I just got back from my holiday in New Zealand with these guys and it was awesome. Highly organised tour with our fantastic tour guide Brian, who treated us like family and friends. He had great local knowledge and plenty of funny stories to share with us all on the whole tour. We had 2 drivers which were great with local information and getting us around safely and comfortably. The coach was comfortable and maintained well over our trip. The hotels we used were all of a high standard with most being in the best locations. Highly recommended Tour Company.....
