Cradle Coast Tours: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Howard and Juliet were wonderful tour guides. There was confusion regarding the starting time thanks to Viator. However, Howard confirmed several times that we would meet at the Pier at 7:30am. He worked hard to contain people who were frustrated as we waited for late comers. He really tries to please! We had a nice morning tea and bathroom break on the way to Cradle Mountain. Howard accommodated different people with different desires about what to do, and he managed to make everyone happy. We got to stop at Penguin for shopping, photos and some ice cream before heading back to the port. We returned to our ship on time! We had a much better time than the people who bought the tour through Norwegian - and ours was half the price!
Fantastic experience: We had planned to do a standard tour but because the weather was changeable and Cradle Mountain was shrouded, Howard wisely suggested and alternative itinerary. He was an excellent and knowledgeable guide and a safe driver, ably assisted by his wife Juliet who organised everything including a hot drink and biscuit. They kept us entertained and cheerful despite the weather and changed itinerary.
Fantastic experience: What a great day out with Howard. He made us very welcome and we shared lots of great stories during the day. We saw lots of interesting places on our way to and from Cradle Mountain, places that we wouldn’t have known about on our own. A great experience and one that we would highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: We booked a tour with Howard to see Cradle Mountain and go on the Dove Lake Circuit. He picked us in a comfortable 8 – seater van. Heading out from Launceston we stopped to see Cataract Gorge on the way out and made stops at Deloraine and Westbury and got see a lot of wildlife including a lovely flock of ducks on the way. Unfortunately for us the weather was really bad, with plenty of showers, however Howard still managed to keep us from getting wet by providing us with Umbrellas and planning accordingly such that we got to go on the Dove Lake walk and Enchanted Walk, both of which were spectacular despite the bad weather. After being out in the cold Howard arranged some Hot Chips at the Peppers Lodge at Cradle Mountain we head back to Launceston. We were all pretty exhausted and Howard provided us with some pillows for a comfortable journey back. What we enjoyed the most was how knowledgeable Howard was, having learnt so much about the History of the many places we visited and in general fun facts about random things, we recommend Howard & Cradle Coast Tours to anyone who’s looking for a fun and adventure packed tour in Launceston.
Fantastic experience: Howard was excellent on the wine tour!
Fantastic experience: Great experience and excellent service. I strongly recommended.
Fantastic experience: Wow...I am happy for my great tour selections. Cradle coast tour were excellent. Tour Guide Howard Smith made sure I am completely comfortable for the entire two day trip with him. Very interesting interactions and knowledgeable due to his experience. First day we went in a mini Van and second day he got his Mitsubishi Outlander...thanks a lot Howard..
Fantastic experience: On a day tour to Cradle Mountain we got personal and professional service beyond our expectations. Howard was a wealth of knowledge, and treated us to extra short excursions before and after the main trip to Cradle Mountain. Highly recommended.
Positive experience: Waiting at the front of the Hotel for the arrival of Howard from Cradle Coast Tours. What are we looking for?...a 4x4 per haps or a mini bus - oh no!.....here came Howard driving his pride & joy, a Jaguar. Wow, that's a first for a tour to see Tassie's Alpine region! Howard did inform us in general and in detail as we drove along. We stopped at several locations from historical and architectonical interest, admired lots of street art at Sheffield, visited the House of Anvers a chocolate factory to sample and up we went into the Cradle Mountain National Park. The weather was just not quite on our side that day, but Howard found a way to show us the beauty of this region and some wildlife that's there all around without getting soaking wet, he fed us well and we drove past the Craigmore Olive & truffle farm to have tea. All in all a enjoyable day out with Howard and his Jaguar. So come and do the same, cheers Anna & Otto
