Fantastic experience: Steve and his Team were fantastic! We had a flight along Mornington Peninsula and arrived at Barwon Heads. A lovely driver took us to the Q train in Drysdale where we had a wonderful lunch. Everyone involved were just lovely. Many thanks!

Fantastic experience: We had a great time with Steve. Not only did we see the Tweleve Apostles, but also Loch Ard and the Razorback. Steve’s commentary was great. In addition we got to feed alpacas, tour a wildlife sanctuary (saw six koalas in the trees), and have a nice lunch. I highly recommend working with Steve.

Fantastic experience: We booked the Great Ocean Road tour and it was awesome. The 12 Apostles and private guided rainforest walk were incredible, as was the helicopter viewing of the coastline. Steve did an outstanding job providing commentary and history of the area. Highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic experience: We had a great 1-day-tour to Mornington Peninsula & Phillip Island by Great Private Tours. Thanks greatly to Steve and his professional team. Our vacation is short and so we can only allocate 1 day for Mornington and Phillip. However, most tours of Mornington or Phillip requires 1 day each and 2 days in total. Besides most tours in Mornington do wine tasting which we had no interest in. Steve tailor made an itinerary for us that compact the usual 2 day tour into a 1-day tour. It was a long trip from 08:15 to 00:15 which last for 16 hours. Our Itinerary included Brighton beach, Arthurs Seat Eagle, Peninsula Hot Springs, Ashcombe Maze & Lavender Gardens, Nobbies Centre Antarctic Journey and guided-ranger-tour of the penguin parade. Our tour guide is Matt. He is very nice, knowledgeable and professional. Matt told us lots of interesting and useful information about Melbourne. Furthermore, thanks to the very comfy Benz with recliner chair, we had very good rest on the van and can finish the very long itinerary in 1 day. We are so grateful that Great Private Tours who arranged such a comfy, efficient, fruitful, informative and relaxed journey for us. Therefore, we want to fully recommend them to everyone without reservation~~!!!!

Fantastic experience: Steve organised one of the best tours of my life. He was polite, knowledgeable and could understand exactly what the traveller wanted. He customised our tour to give us the best experience ever. We were a group 17 with kids and elderly people and Steve made sure he gives us all the help to visit the spots like Great Ocean Road and Philip Island. Fantastic experience: Steve and his vehicle were awesome! Even after nearly Missing out on our snow day due to the weather - Steve stuck by and have us many other options but in the end we were able to go ahead with our day as planned! His vehicle is so comfortable, the seats, AC and also provided us wifi and USB for charging. It was perfect with 3 kids and grandparents. Thanks Steve we will be back!

Fantastic experience: Best day out with Steve! My husband and I had booked the Mornington Peninsula Food & Wine Private Tour as our interest lies in exploring the wineries of that area and enjoying a Modern Australian meal. Honestly, Steve couldn’t have curated a better “menu” for us. We got to taste at least two dozen wines across Moorooduc Estate, Red Hill Estate, 10 Minutes By Tractor and Montalto Vineyard (this fourth and final stop was also where we indulged in a most fabulous late lunch). Steve happens to have a wealth of knowledge about Melbourne and beyond, and readily shared plenty of interesting nuggets as he drove us around in the amazing comfort of his Mercedes Viano to visit the wineries. We had been picked up from the doorstep of our AirBnb in the morning and were dropped off there at the end of our grand day out. If you are like us and much prefer high quality private tours, you should contact this company. They are able to customise itineraries that suit your interests and can include even the more exclusive experiences such as helicopter rides and sea plane flights.

Fantastic experience: MEMORABLE DAY ON THE GREAT OCEAN ROAD We (family of 5 with teenagers) had an excellent time with Steve on our private tour of the Great Ocean Road. He was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited and allowed enough time for us to explore where possible. Seeing koalas in the wild at Kennett River was pretty special as was our visit to Loch Ard Gorge. Scones at the Lighthouse Tea Rooms in Aireys Inlet hit the spot for morning tea. Steve made sure we got family photos at all the right places. The 12 hours passed very quickly and were broken up by interesting stops along the way and by Steve's easy conversation. The van was comfortable, and we appreciated the supply of bottled water. I would highly recommend a private tour with Great Private Tours. We would certainly consider booking with them again.

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Steve enough! We chose the Great Ocean Road tour with helicopter ride and I am so glad we did. Not only did we get to cross the 12 Apostles off our bucket list but we got to experience this from above in a helicopter. Unbelievable! What really made the tour was the great and interesting facts that Steve pointed out as we drove along. It really made it more personalised than a large tour group. Definitely recommend for anyone looking at The Great Ocean Rd to do this tour instead of driving yourself.

Fantastic experience: I was part of a group of 4 and we went on a day trip to Yarra Valley. Steven was our guide - I thought he was very knowledgeable and since it was a private tour, he was able to structure a tour that could cater to the varied tastes and ages within our group. It was a premium experience. Beautiful wineries, excellent dining, and a very comfortable vehicle.

Fantastic experience: We have recently completed tours with Steve of Great Private Tours in Southern Tasmania. The tours were fascinating and something not to be missed. Steve was extremely attentive to our comfort and customised our itineraries according to our needs. As my husband has mobility issues, Steve arranged a walking frame to help him move around. It was a touching gesture indeed. Steve is highly knowledgeable, very interested in all aspects of the tours, and he loves what he does. He was able to accommodate us with short notice and arranged an enjoyable and diverse itinerary based on our interests in a very comfortable vehicle. Steve was punctual, knowledgeable, considerate, accommodating and just a good bloke. He was understandably always greeted very respectfully by staff of the venues we visited. Fantastic experience: Late review but here goes, brought the family to tour Melbourne on the 12th of December. Steve our guide for 2 days was very knowledgable about the history and stories of where we went, which was the Great Ocean Road, Dandenong Ranges and the Puffing Billy steam train. Steve was also very flexible. It was raining on the 2nd day of our tour, and it was the day of our visit to the Dandednong Ranges. The experience itself was very mystical, sometimes eerie even, with mist, rainfalls, and with the occasional streaks of sunlight seeping in from the branches of the trees. Also because it was raining, Steve made some on the spot decision making of what kind of activities our group could do (indoor stuff). Some include going to a cherry farm, and getting some genuinely amazing cherries, and to some of the wineries. Could not go wrong booking Great Private Tours for your next visit.

Fantastic experience: One of the best days of 2 weeks in Australia. The activities were varied and very interesting. Loved meeting the cockatoos and the unusual sculpture garden. The bakery visit was a special treat.
