Fantastic experience: We spent three days paddling down the Katherine river with our amazing guides John and Snowy. Our group of 9 were so well taken care off and looked after it was incredible. The river kept changing constantly and the bird life was very prolific and kept us entertained. Frequent "swimming" stops kept us cool and the food provided for breaky, morning and afternoon tea and dinner was better than in any restaurant! Fresh Barra cooked over the fire and a silverside roast as well as damper from the camp oven made both dinners a five star event including candles, table cloths and napkins! Not bad for a river safari! Huge thanks to Gecko Canoeing for providing us with this unforgettable once in a lifetime experience!

Fantastic experience: We jumped on the 3 Day Katherine River Kayak Tour a day after completing the Jatbula Trail. So lovely not have to think about planning and food prep. Travis and Isaac tirelessly looked after our diverse group of 10. They were professional, good humoured, knowledgable and amazing camp fire cooks. An immersive experience on the Katherine River with relaxed paddling plus a nice shot of adrenaline and adventure each day on some grade 1 or 2 rapids. Felt safe at all times and head guide, Travis, was a wealth of information on the river, its birds and plant life along its shore. His love and respect for the river in all its moods from flood to dry was obvious. Lots of swims and loved sleeping under the stars. Food was delicious, healthy and plentiful. Must do trip for active adventurers in the NT.

Fantastic experience: Mick and the team provide fist class service and could not be more helpful. We got a lift to Nitmiluk with Mick to walk Jatbula and my old Macpac’s harness broke once I was at the campsite before we had even left. I was desperate as I couldn’t walk with the broken harness and rang Mick to see if there was anything I could do. He dropped around a replacement backpack to the campsite, took my old pack away and brought it back to me when I got off the track. The walk was amazing and I couldn’t have done it without Mick. 5 big stars!

Fantastic experience: We did a 2 day kayaking trip down Katherine river. Unbelievably beautiful. The tour was impeccably organised. We were comfortable and had so much fun. Loved camping overnight on the sandy bank and the amazing food. Really pleasant company and our guide Mick is a top guy. Highly recommend.
