Fantastic experience: The most beautiful experience I did this year - a true "once in a lifetime" experience. The crew and pilot Steve were amazing. Cant recommend Global Ballooning enough. Thanks for such a wonderful time.

Fantastic experience: Super love the breath-taking experience! Sanshiro was an amazing pilot and helped to bring us to "greater heights" with superb views. He was really nice to point out the different parts of Melbourne and even made a smooth landing near kangaroos with my little one loved. Nikki and the team was amazing too, from picking us up, guiding us to the site and sending us for our buffet breakfast. Definitely worth the experience with the amazinf team at GLOBAL BALLOONING.

Fantastic experience: The experience itself was incredible! 10/10 highly recommend! One thing though, I’d maybe say have a mic system in the bus, as it was quite hard to hear the announcements! Other than that, we had a fabulous time!

Took a CBD Sunrise Balloon ride across Melbourne, on a 30 degree Friday morning & it was stunning. The whole experience from start to finish - Eddie, Bron & Raine were exceptional. Fantastic experience: Ballooning for the first time made perfect by the staff of Global Ballooning AU. I wanted to do something special on my 50th and hot air balloon ride is the absolute way to go. Flying over Yarra valley, watching sunrise and soaring over low lying fog and clouds… brings out the feeling of freedom and gratitude. The briefing was clear and fun, including the post after care. Helping out setting and tidying up the balloon was so entertaining. The ride was so smooth, pilot was skillful and knowledgeable. I would do it over again. Thank you Tash, Lili, Nikki and Jacob. I am so grateful for the experience. (and my signed souvenier and bday gift)

Positive experience: We did the Melbourne balloon trip. Unfortunately due to wind direction we didn’t go very close to the CBD. However was still very enjoyable - felt like we were floating on a cloud!! Good views of the surrounding landscape and other balloons. Our pilot - Steve - ,are a very smooth landing at Moorabbin.

Fantastic experience: If I could give Global Ballooning more that 5 stars, I would give them 100. I don’t normally write reviews, but Global Ballooning are so deserving of the best comments I can think of. Eddie, the pilot had incredible experience, was so informative in the air and made it all so much fun. Hetz was keen to make everyone feel so welcome and offered to take photos throughout the flight and Belinda on the ground was always there to make the take off and landing run smoothly. We couldn’t have had a better team making sure it was an unforgettable experience and I’m so grateful for that. I’ve heard from others that the landing can be bumpy, with Eddies expertise, we just landed so gently. We had family meet us when we landed and Eddie, Hertz and Belinda were so welcoming to them also and made them feel inclusive in the whole experience also. I actually contacted their office to compliment them on their fantastic staff, people can sometimes be too be critical and I believe excellence should be recognised also. My opinion is that Global Ballooning is just the best ever. Margie T

Fantastic experience: Wow! What a brilliant flight over Melbourne Saturday 12 Oct (Thank you Eddie and Nick). After quite a few previous cancellations due to unsuitable weather, my friend and I were super excited to finally fly this morning. Thank you to Mikayla for contacting me a few days prior and suggesting a switch from Sunday to Saturday to avoid another possible cancellation. The welcome/customer service and organisation at the meeting point was great. The mini bus ride to the launch site was informative yet fun and engaging. The flight was incredible and Eddie did everything in his power to get us as close to the city as possible and ensure a great flight despite the wind direction having other plans. We understand you can’t control the wind and that’s part of the beauty in an experience like this. The landing was soft, the pack up was fun, and we were able to jump into the balloon for some photos before it fully deflated which was brilliant. On the bus ride back to the Pullman we were airdropped the professional photos and given water. Literally everything was thought of. We can’t fault it. A truly amazing and unforgettable experience. Thank you again Eddie, Nick and team!

Fantastic experience: My wife and I for our wedding anniversary did the Melbourne City flight on a Saturday morning and it was truly amazing. The staff were fantastic and our pilot Pato and Bazz the ground crewman were very accomodating and welcoming. I would like to point out though that Pato is a better pilot than his brother, check out that landing in an abandoned industrial yard

Fantastic experience: I went to Yarra Valley with a few friends on Friday and we flied with Global ballooning. It was my first time going for hot ballooning and I have to say it is one of the best thing I have ever experienced in life. Our pilot Pato was extremely experience and helpful in preparing us before taking off. We managed to get up to the sky in time to watch the sunrise and the view was just stunning. The whole journey went for about an hour including take off and landing. Landing was extremely smooth as well. You get to participate with setting up and packing the hot balloon as well if you want which I found very fun. One thing I would recommend though is to wear water proof/insulated shoes if you are going in early morning. The take off area is filled with long grass which are very wet in the morning due to moisture. Also bring a wind/water proof jacket with you.

They seem to love their job, and they were so enthusiastic and energetic too. The one-hour ride was thoroughly enjoyable, and we had a blast helping to inflate and deflate the balloon afterwards—it was a great team effort! A special thanks to our incredible pilot, Paterson Saunders (Pati), for ensuring a safe flight, teaching us the basics of how a hot air balloon works, and showing us stunning locations from high above. Despite my initial worries about the landing, it was super smooth! We booked the flight with breakfast, and the post-ride breakfast buffet and sparkling wine at the beautiful Balgownie Estate were excellent. The staff there was also friendly and welcoming, and the food was fantastic. My husband and I are definitely looking forward to going again during spring!

Negative experience: Photos, which are supposedly complementary and part of the flight package you pay for, are not provided easily. The company will not initiate providing you the photos. You have to constantly email and follow up with them but sad to say, even after 2 weeks, I have yet to receive anything. Extremely disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Went for a girls weekend and included this experience. The entire experience from end to end was fantastic. From communication at booking, to information leading up to the experience was streamlined and easy, friendly and professional. On the day prior we received up to the minute updates and instructions and we were set to go at 6 am. After an hilarious bus ride with larrikin, Stoney, we helped get the balloons ready to fly which was exciting and helped build anticipation. Our super passionate and experienced pilot Jacob was terrific in settling any nerves and highly knowledgable about the process and area. The sunrise and views were sublime and the flight itself so peaceful. We helped the wonderful crew with (voluntary) pack up and were rewarded with a champagne breakfast back at Balgownie estate. The host there was just beautiful, and as bubbly as the vino we were presented with. The final surprise was we were all emailed fantastic Go Pro pics taken on the flight - which were complimentary. Such a pleasant value-add! Our group were surprised and delighted by this. Would highly recommend this experience. And if you're worried about flying - don't - it's just so serene. Put it on your bucket list.

Fantastic experience: Amazing morning up in the clouds over Melbourne CBD! It was a long awaited trip for us, as Global Ballooning staff kindly extended our voucher during Covid lockdowns and many cancellations due to weather conditions. Pilot Eddie & Belinda were fantastic & set the tone for the activity. Flight take off and landing was smooth and well organised. Definitely an experience everyone should experience once in their lifetime.

Fantastic experience: Floated over the Yarra Valley today, what a wonderful morning it was. From the time we arrived at meeting point to the time we said goodbye it was pure class by all the staff. Everyone was treated the same whether they needed assistance or needed no help at all. Our pilot Steve was excellent providing great entertainment throughout our flight. Highly recommend if you're looking to do a hot-air balloon ride.

Fantastic experience: What an amazing experience we had this morning on our Global Ballooning flight with pilot Kiff at the helm. I loved every minute of it and highly recommend it to visitors and locals too. I did the “over Melbourne” trip and just loved seeing Melbourne from a completely different way. Afterwards we took up the added option of a buffet breakfast at @the Pullman Hotel which was our meeting point which was a great way to complete the whole experience. My iPhone captured Melbourne beautifully.

Positive experience: Ok but 10 people crammed in the basket is too much. No room to shuffle and viewing was very restricted much of the time. Eddie and Bronnie are superb but for the price, simply too cramped. Certainly wouldn’t consider for a romantic experience! For this price, there needs to be at least 2 less people and more team members to facilitate rather than relying on patrons.

Fantastic experience: Safe & Amazing experience and amazing team. Very professional and smooth arrangement, they are very responsive over their App as well to help with any last minute queries. Opted for the breakfast and CBD transfer as well which were both great as well! Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: After much anticipation & anxiety, we completed our balloon flight on Saturday 27th April. Despite feeling nervous about the flight beforehand, we loved every minute of the experience. From the initial pick up, to the final landing, the process was seamless. All Staff were confident in their roles, communicated clearly and ensured every step of the morning was completed meticulously. Captain Eddy was knowledgeable, re-assuring and engaging - as too was his co-worker Belinda. We loved our flight and couldn't praise the team more highly.

Fantastic experience: Great experience. Team is quite experienced, worked well together, very informative of local conditions and with a great sense of humour - the pilot Steve kept the banter going on in the basket all along. They were also very helpful throughout and you can tell they really love their job. Nick and Steve arranged crutches for my wife at 11th hour who badly sprained her ankle a day before and helped her at every step. I was in doubt if she will even be able to join but she could enjoy the experience wholeheartedly. It is expensive but worth every penny, especially if you want to share/celebrate any special occasion.

Fantastic experience: Came to Melbourne for an anniversary holiday and this was the main event. Eddie, the pilot, was very experienced and despite us not rushing to find the perfect starting location we were last to get started and 2nd up in the air. Bronni was the ground crew and knew exactly what was going on at all times. Very safe, even for the height we went at, and another passenger was afraid of heights and had a great time. This is a family owned business who has great relationships with the other hot air balloon pilots as well. The added GoPro video + pictures coverage during the flight meant we could enjoy the experience without having to take photos the entire time! I definitely would keep an eye on the GoPro aluminum bar, it likes to hide! Down to earth, efficient, safe, and very organized. Should we come to Melbourne again, we'd only rebook with Global.

I flew with an overseas guest who thought it was the most brilliant memory and experience to take home with him - one he'll never forget. We both enjoyed the spectacular views of the Yarra Valley and the peaceful serenity that we felt as we floated high above the clouds. Fantastic experience: Being a local girl, for years I’ve watched the hot air balloons fly over the city and suburbs and have always wanted to do it myself and so, finally booked tickets. After four cancellations due to Melbourne’s weather, we finally managed to fly. And it was awesome! Everything was perfect. We met at the Pullman Hotel in East Melbourne and then driven to our launch site which today was Caulfield Racecourse. After watching the balloons being inflated and a safety briefing, we got into the basket and set off. We flew from Caulfield Racecourse, over the inner suburbs (over Caulfield, Malvern, Armadale, Toorak, Richmond) and towards the MCG and then over towards Carlton and Parkville, landing near the zoo in Royal Park. The view of the city was amazing. Simply beautiful. And so calm and peaceful up there. Afterwards, we all helped pack the balloon up into its bag (including being allowed to go inside the balloon before it was fully deflated), then they took us back to the meeting point. I thank our pilot, Clement, and the ground crew for a wonderful experience. I highly recommend flying with Global.

Negative experience: Really disappointed. Spent all that money and flew low over houses. No where near the city, for a city tour. The only reason I choose this actual company and flight.

From waking up at 3:30am with you best buddy, to helping in setting up the balloons, to all working together to get the landing right; you unintentionally bond with the experience and the people. Highly recommend this one.

Fantastic experience: Thoroughly enjoyed our ballon flight in the Yarra Valley with pilot Eddie who shared his knowledge about ballooning and the area with us, along with his sense of humour. It was perfect conditions, beautiful scenery and a wonderful experience to tick off the bucket list! All the other staff were all lovely and friendly too, particularly Tash with her big smile.

Fantastic experience: Such an amazing, once in a lifetime experience. “Stoney” our bus driver, he’s a funny old guy, instantly made you feel at ease, the nerves slowly went away. Our pilot Kiff was professional, friendly and full of local knowledge. Was easy to talk to, happy to share his stories of ballooning. If you haven’t experienced hot air ballooning, and are either a. contemplating or b. hesitant. Don’t! Do it! You will not be disappointed nor will you regret it. Honestly couldn’t fault it. Be prepared to help out with inflating/deflating the balloon, the packing away.

Fantastic experience: WOW - amazing sunrise hot air balloon flight. Eddie the pilot, navigated the ballon and was, well experienced, confident and fun and was always happy to answer any questions. Very organized and professional. We had a very smooth flight throughout, including the takeoff and landing. The whole experience was magical - so peaceful and the views were stunning. Wind - or rather the lack of - meant we didn't fly over the city, but the views were still spectacular and we got to see the sunrise. The communication about the weather and whether the flight was going ahead was spot on, and the app provided lots of useful information and updates. It was great fun helping to get the balloon filled and packing up too, and my husband was able to join the ground crew while I was on the flight, and he thoroughly enjoyed helping Nick follow our balloon to the landing site. Couldn't fault my first ever hot air balloon flight - everything was very organized and professional, would highly recommend Global Ballooning!

Fantastic experience: Received notification the evening before to confirm the trip - the nerves settled in. I’m a shorty myself so I was worried how I was going to get in the balloon honestly. They have little grooves in the basket to step up and Baz helped support me to get in. We met at the meeting place, a nice hotel in with a cheap flat parking rate for those doing a hot air balloon experience. We made our way down to the park. Cool seeing how they set up the ballon. Eddie was quite open and transparent that the trip may have been shorter as it all depends on the wind but it didn’t feel like it! The weather was brilliant, that sunrise shone over the city and surrounding and we were still able to see the beauty of everything below..didn’t look like tiny specks. We landed on a field smoothly. It was a team effort packing the balloon up. On the way back Eddie sent everyone photos from the go pro and a Timelapse which is amazing. Thanks so much to Eddie and Baz. Loved this experience!!

Fantastic experience: This was the best experience ever! We had so much on this trip! I was pretty nervous, but everything was so smooth and the flight felt like we were just floating and wasn't at all scary! The whole staff were very professional and answered all of the questions I had. Once in a lifetime experience and well worth it!
