Happy Travels WakeUp! Byron Bay

Fantastic experience: During my stay in Byron Bay I booked several activities (dolphin kayak, skydive, snorkeling,..) and my upcoming campervan trips at happy travels with Carolin. Usually I like to research everything on my own and find the cheapest/best option for myself. But with the experience and "hidden" tips & tricks from Carolin I always ended up cheaper and had the best time. Especially the communication in German was way easier. Carolin always had the best advices and an answers for every question I had. Highly recommended

Negative experience: Absolutely appalling customer service. Came in for some advice of how to make the most of my Australia vacation, which the staff were really nice and helpful to begin with. After a few minutes, two travel reps began pushing to sell me various expensive packages (to which I had no interest). Every time I reminded the staff that I needed to leave because I had other plans and I wanted to have a think before booking anything. They attempted to hook me back in with cheaper deals despite stating I’m not interested. Once I eventually left, the reps both became rather sour and begun to be very passive aggressive with me (probably because they didn’t get any commission from ripping off another traveller) Avoid booking through happy travels at all costs!

He helped take away all my travel and booking stress by handling it all for me through happy travels. He was able to curate the perfect itinerary for myself as an individual, and took the time to get to know me to make sure I was having the best trip up the east coast of Australia as possible. I showed up at the happy travels desk without a plan or an idea of what to do or see and he made a daily itinerary of where I would eat, sleep, stay, and all the best activities in between. He planned my trip from Byron all the way up to Cairns. Not to mention, he gave me other travel tips and plans that weren’t directly though bookings because he is just a great person who wants to help people live their best life in Australia. Connor is the best, he isn’t going to just sell you random tours - he’ll take the time to listen and genuinely cares about you as a person. Thank you Connor!!!

I had a great time on Kˋgari, an adventurous trip to the Daintree rainforest and a stunning dive in the Great Barrier Reef. Overall a perfect experience and great recommendations from happy travels.

Fantastic experience: I’ve really enjoyed my stay! The rooms are clean and we even had our own bathroom with two showers! The kitchen is clean and you have everything you need. A really nice extra is the pool bar and that you can rent a surfboard for free! Also the staff is friendly and helpful!

Fantastic experience: We walked past Happy Travels to borrow surf boards, and were helped by Spencer. he immediately asked about our trip plans and when we said that we didn't really know, he told us that we should come back after surfing to talk to him about ideas. We were initially hesitant about going, but afterwards I was very happy that I came. Spencer was very helpful and friendly and was able to help us perfectly according to our wishes. something that would have previously taken us a full day now took 3 hours in a very nice way.

Fantastic experience: We stayed at wake up in byron bay and we didn’t have anything planned in advance. We wanted to do a lot while traveling the east coast and spencer was really helpful with our trip!! He helped us with everything we wanted to do and because he had done everything we wanted to do(he stayed in the hostels, did the activities , etc) we got a live review from him and that was really nice as well! Negative experience: AVOID THOSE PEOPLE.We rent a van and we get lice. We made a review. they contact us offering discounts. We took the bad review out. Never heard from them again. So if u wonder about the 5.0 its not real. Next time,guys from travel bugs,seek the customer, dont think that the customer its gonna seek you. And: DO NOT CONTACT ME THIS TIME.

Fantastic experience: With dark clouds in the sky, a somber mood in the air, i was unsure of what my day in Byron today would bring. Before i knew it however a handsome young man bounded up to us full of joy and love and i knew i was in for a treat. His sparkling ocean blue eyes enticed me into his store and i took a seat on the plush sofas within. After been given the royal treatment of water and cookies we began planning our adventure. At this point we were ready to spend some serious money. Conor aided us in selecting some fantastic Fraser Island, Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef trips. He made his store feel like another home and we were absolutely in no way at all pressured to enter Travel Bugs. Overall, a LIFE CHANGING experience was had within our 2 hours inside the Johnson Street Byron Bay branch. 10/10 recommend to a friend, my mum and the queen because this really was the ROYAL treatment.
