BettyBird TourGuide: Reviews
Fantastic experience: We had a 5-hour tour with Betty. It was to be primarily on birds and nature but morphed into so much more. Betty is a fountain of knowledge + took us to some great birding and nature spots but also gave very interesting commentary about the city of Darwin and the history of Darwin. She is good value.
Thanks so much to you both. It is always fun to meet such enthusiastic bird and nature people as yourselves. I'm so pleased you enjoyed the day. : )
Fantastic experience: Whether you’re going touring with Betty or enjoying talking about her wonderful artwork, you can bet it will be fun and inspiring. Betty has a wealth of talent and knowledge and she enthusiastically loves to share her love of the Territory.
Ronnie your enthusiasm is so rewarding! Thank you for sharing it with me.
Fantastic experience: Betty is a truly inspiring artist and wealth of knowledge as a tour guide....always a bundle of energy and so so many fascinating stories. Highly recommended! Thank you Betty!
Tanya! You are a gem too.
Fantastic experience: Great stuff lover her work, style and composition
Same to you double! : D
Fantastic experience: Betty is a lovely person and a great tour guide. Highly recommend her.
And so are you and Manny. Thanks so much for a great day! Cheers Betty
Fantastic experience: I recently participated in a guided war tour of Darwin with Betty as our guide. The passion and knowledge she imparted on the tour was delivered with an easy repartee from a delightful personality. This has led to what I'd term extra curricular contact with Betty, with her providing suggestions for further reading on Darwin's history and Australian military history via email. This going beyond a mornings tour with her, exemplifies her enthusiasm for her subject and her friendly engagement with us lucky to have had Betty as our Darwin guide.
Thank you Peter. I love sharing my enthusiasm with people like yourself and it is so gratifying when I'm able to bring a little bit of knowledge about a little known part of our Australian History War History to new minds and eyes.
Fantastic experience: Great tour
Thanks Robert.
Fantastic experience: Betty is very knowledgeable about all aspects of NT which she imparts with great passion and humour. We found her extremely helpful organising a memorial trip to the site of our uncle's death in WW2. Don't hesitate to contact Betty you won't regret doing so. Ralph.
Ralph having the honour to play host to your family on their commemorative trip to Darwin was such a privilege. You were all so easy to get on with and your family history is so interesting. Thank you for allowing me to share the experience with you. Cheers Betty :)
Fantastic experience: We booked a trip to Darwin and Betty was our tour guide for two days. She did an absolutely fantastic job and was able to appeal and engage with three different generations being my mother, my son and myself. I would recommend her to everyone as she is extremely reliable and very informative - she knows her history. Betty elevated our experience in Darwin by taking us to explore Litchfield's amazing landscapes and waterfalls, the Flying Doctor Display, the Museum and Art Gallery of the NT and the Aviation Museum - just to name a few.
Your family were an absolute delight! It was so easy to have fun together. I'm glad you enjoyed the days we spent together. Cheers to you all and good health and fun. :) Betty
Fantastic experience: I organized a private tour with Betty Bird in July 2021, based on her Extended Military History Tour of Darwin and Coomalie Creek airfield, where my father was based during WW11. From initial contact through to the tour day, Betty was reliable, informative and accommodating. Betty took us to several important sites in Darwin, then drove us to the Coomalie Creek airfield site, where we learned lot more about the military history of Darwin in WW2 in a very personal and moving way. Betty is very knowledgeable and it was a very rich and rewarding day.
It's always so exciting meeting people who had family here during the war. Your father and people like him made Australia the safe place it is today. It was an honour to meet me and spend the day. Cheers Betty :)
Fantastic experience: Betty really knows her stuff. I really enjoyed meeting her. She has a bubbly and jovial personality. Brighten your Darwin visit with a tour with Betty.
Nam, you are just such a cool bloke! It's always fun catching up. Cheers Betty:)
