Positive experience: Great trip... highly recommended. Whether with dinner or just the snack option on the upper deck. The drink prices are good. We went for a bottle of wine straight away. The ship is in good condition and the service was superb.

It was nothing short of spectacular and all our family and friends loved it. From the moment we stepped aboard, we were greeted with warm hospitality and exceptional service. The boat itself was pristine, comfortable, and spacious, providing ample room for everyone to relax and enjoy the journey. The booking process and communication with Michelle was excellent, even offering advice and recommendations we hadn’t thought of. Negative experience: Lost opportunity for something special. I was solo and promptly placed at the back in the corner table for one. Lots of opportunities for other seating. First course was basically cheese biscuits and a shop brought dip which was disappointing. The main buffet was very nice but very average, nothing outstanding. But there was plenty. My choice of red wine would normally cost me $25 cost me $55 on the boat. The commentary was dry and tired and started always with “OK folks”. The hostess were very good and happy to accommodate. Was promised an amazing night and it didn’t deliver, but the beautiful sunset made it a good trip. Could be much better.

Negative experience: Cruising into the sunset was awesome and food was great. However, the captain and his assistant Michelle were rude and unprofessional in their interaction with our group. I would not recommend this cruise company based on my experience.

Negative experience: Very disappointing! Canapes for a Party of 12 people were 3 very small plates consisting of a handful of bite sized snacks on each. Staff could barely give you the time of day. At $80 per person, I would have expected a little more. Sorry, but won't be sunsetting with them again.

Positive experience: Completed the cruise and had dinner in late June 2023. Food was above average although limited with amount of meat. The commentary about the history of Darwin by the Skipper added a lot to the experience.

Positive experience: The views and the sunset where beautiful, the staff were lovely but the food was terrible. Soggy over cooked brocolli and cauliflower, prawns did not seem fresh, rice salad was average, the seafood sauce just tasted like cheap mayonnaise and the chicken was dry and had little taste. For $130 per head it was very disappointing.

Negative experience: Found the captain and beverage manager, Michelle, to be abrupt, verging on rude. Food was great. The Captain's talk was dampening any attempt at conversation as 'white noise' and his dialogue could not be understood. I understand why this cruise was the only cruise with seats available at the last minute.Would not recommend this cruise when there are others to choose from

Fantastic experience: Such an amazing cruise. As a local who has spent many a sunsets on the harbour the crew of spirit of Darwin made it extra special. Wasa fantastic way to spend one of mine and my partners final nights in the NT. Couldn't recommend these guys enough. If you are thinking of booking a cruise or not sure what to do in Darwin definitely book yourself and family on. And the food just topped it all off, fantastic fresh feed and definately more then enough food served

The food was plentiful and well thought out with out plates or cutlery required. The cruise itself is exactly what you’re looking for, cruise into the sunset and cruise back to dock by sail. Thoroughly recommend even for a person who keeps forgetting they are subject to sea sickness!

Fantastic experience: Absolute highlight of our holiday, the view from the boat is spectacular and the skipper was very knowledgeable pointing out key landmarks along the way. The crew were incredibly friendly and helpful (even when we were 15mins late due to a baby emergency). They helped my son feed the fish which he loved. The food was delicious and there was ample for everyone on board. Money well spent.

Positive experience: We did this cruise with our family. The commentary with the history of Darwin was great & watching the sunset over the water was incredible! However the food was quite limited. The plates u r given are very small. U can help yourself to the salads but meats are served to u & u can only have 2 prawns given to u, which was disappointing. We seemed to be cruising ahead of schedule so instead of killing some time out in the harbour watching the sunset we spent a lot of time around the wharf admiring the Ferris wheel!! While at the wharf we fed the fish . This was great, however what wasn’t great is what we fed them, WHITE BREAD!! This is terrible for marine life. Doing so can put their health at serious risk. Bread contains gluten and yeast, which fish cannot digest properly. It also contains a lot of sugar, which is unhealthy for fish. Far better to feed them The fruits and vegetables that are generally alright to serve raw are bananas, plantains, pumpkins, pears, apples, carrots, potatoes and sweet potatoes. These should all be cut into small pieces before they are offered to the fish. Overall we enjoyed the cruise but was disappointed in the food offered & the welfare of the fish.

The cruise crew and skipper were all very friendly and approachable and extremely knowledgeable about Darwin and the surrounding area. Absolutely the best view you can get of Darwin's infamous sunset!

Fantastic experience: A lovely cruise to end our trip in Darwin. Some commentary + history shared by the host as we sailed along! A complementary drink on arrival and reasonable priced drinks can be purchased thereafter from the bar. Food was a buffet style and was of good quality. The boat is comfortable but not the most modern.

Air Con wasn't working properly, very stuffy inside..The bar was slow, as was the table waiters.. Don't be fooled by the advertised photos for this cruise.. The sunset was the only plus, the rest was a waste of money...Very disappointing ..

Fantastic experience: We couldn’t have been happier with our sunset dinner cruise on the Spirit of Darwin. All the staff were friendly and happy to chat with guests. We spent most of the cruise outside and could hear the commentary very clearly and only went inside to our table when the buffet dinner was served. The quality of the food was very good and there was plenty for all. Near the end of the evening we unexpectedly stopped at the wharf and threw bread overboard for all the hungry fish. It was a lovely evening.

Negative experience: Tried to cancel our cruise 2 weeks in advance due to lockdowns in Victoria. After numerous emails and phone calls with no response, we are still waiting for a refund. Be wary before booking in advance. Not happy.

Positive experience: Very Dissappointing. Night started very disorganised with 30 minutes waiting in line while they managed to let about 2 people a minute onto jetty. Paid extra for additional canopies and couldn't see any difference between ours and others. The guide should know there are no heritage listed homes in the Defence precinct at Larrakeyah. I'm a local, I'm used to Darwin sub-par service but for the cost... I thought seriously about giving 2 stars. I won't be back with future visitors to the NT. Staff were lovely but value and organisation need to massively improve.

Positive experience: Great crew with good commentary. Good layout. New crew members doing a great job and no negative response from Michelle. Food was good. Photo opportunities for everyone. Loved the fish feeing on the way back. My only suggestion would be to have a systemic table by table timing for buffet. Most guests had no idea. They just lined up like sheep.

Negative experience: Tried to book a dinner cruise before we left for our holiday but this was met with silence despite leaving a message. Once in Darwin made another 3 calls and 2 sms . Got to speak to a female rep who was to check availability and price to upgrade but never rang back. Could not use the online booking as as it Did not cater for promos Never did the cruise as our itinerary use limited.This business does not want customers.

Negative experience: Refused to take Entertainment book voucher and lied about being fully booked whilst I explained I was still able to book online as she didn't want to redeem voucher. Very rude staff (Michelle - owner) was quite aggressive with me on the phone. Overcrowded - definitely no social distancing going on here! Unorganised - dessert came out with 5 minutes before disembarking. Food was mediocre, as was commentary from captain which could hardly be heard due to the noise level of the crowded boat. Overpriced drinks.

Fantastic experience: A stellar and wonderful cruise if you're visiting Darwin, don't miss this one. We opted for the sunset cruise and it was a really nice time of the day, comfy & beautiful. If you're driving there's free parking right at the wharf. The boat had ample seating and a free welcome beer was so nice to start our cruise. The captain and his family were so nice and hospitable in taking good care of all of us, with a really informative guide of the waterfront & nibbles along the way. Our only regret was not taking the buffet option which looked really good and would have happily paid it if we knew how good it was. My daughter loved the fish feeding towards the end and we all left the cruise happy. Well done guys and keep up with the great work you're doing.
