Fantastic experience: Thoroughly enjoyed the 5 hour Darwin City Explorer Tour. Tour guide Ash was very knowledgeable, friendly and excels in his profession. Great tour, thanks Ash and Wallaroo Tours. No hesitation in recommending this tour, you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Did a few tours on my holiday to Darwin and the Litchfield tour with jumping crocodiles tour was one of the best. Our tour guide Ash was the best guide I had by far, he was extremely knowledgeable and seemed very passionate about his job. I don't believe he left any questions unanswered and had a vast array of knowledge and fun facts, plus he was super chill and easy going which made the tour experience even more enjoyable

Fantastic experience: We had pre-booked a tour to the Tiwi Islands which was unexpectedly cancelled. At a loose end on the cancelled tour day, we booked a tour to Litchfield Park with Wallaroo Tours. The tour more than made up for the other cancellation. Our tour guide, Rohan, made the whole day a memorable day. He was friendly, informative and put himself out to be helpful to everyone's needs and questions. The crock tour on the Adelaide River was just the BEST! and the picnic lunch, and later at sunset, the bubbly and nibbles ended a perfect day. 10 out of 10 to Rohan and Wallaroo Tours :)

Negative experience: The guy on the phone when I tried to book was very unfriendly. My English might have been not perfect but he was not helpful at all. We decided to not take the tour even if only they have crocodile tour in wet season.

Fantastic experience: Holy sh*t, my boyfriend and I nearly crapped ourselves on the Wallaroo Tours Litchfield crocodile cruise and sunset tour! Those crocs were so close, I could see the lust in their eyes. But our tour guide was an absolute legend. She knew how to handle those beasts and kept us safe while also cracking us up with her jokes. And let me tell you, the buffet lunch was a godsend after all that adrenaline. We had everything from salads to sandwiches to fruit platters, all meticulously selected and hand prepared. But the real highlight was the champagne and select Norwegian prawns at sunset. I felt like a fancy lady, even though I was still shaking from the morning croc encounter. If you want to live life on the edge, have a fancy lunch, and sip champagne while watching the sunset, you have to book a tour with Wallaroo Tours and ask for Ash as your guide. Just make sure you bring a spare pair of underwear!

Fantastic experience: This is a bit of a belated review as we went in March 2023 just at the end of the wet season but I kept meaning to write a review as the experience was so great. Our tour guide, (Pretty certain he was Ash) was great. The whole trip was well planned with plenty of cold refreshing water on board, opportunities to stop at the pub for a drink, an air-conditioned bus, an easy lunch of make your own sandwiches with plenty of condiments/filling options (It was definitely too hot for anything heavier). The sites of Litchfield are stunning and we got some great waterfall pics. When we went, a lot of the swimming holes were closed due to the wet season (i.e crocs and flooding) but our guide made up for this well by showing other sites and we still got to swim at the end. I was a little nervous about swimming as I am not a strong swimmer but it was fine staying by the edge and the water was so refreshing. Litchfield is an easy day tour as it is close enough to Darwin and there is lots to see with plenty of toilet access. We had other people on our trip who had done Kakadu the day before and said too much of it was spent driving just to reach the place. The croc jumping river cruise was also fantastic and I enjoyed it far more than I anticipated. Overall, a great day.

Positive experience: We did a day tour of Darwin city. We were last to be picked up for the tour at about 9.30am and dropped back at about 2.45pm. Wynward was our guide for day tour of Darwin. He was very informative and gave some great insights of Darwin. You see a variety of different sites however never seem to really have enough time at any of them. In particular, we stopped at markets at around mid morning which were simply heaving with people and it was completely pointless to stop as the queues to buy any of the popular foods or drinks were excessively long. Knowing what I know now I think I’d try a different tour.

Negative experience: The way the tour was initially run was very poor. After receiving no text or email like other companies, I attempted to contact the operator to obtain the pick up time from my hotel. I sent 6 messages via viator, with no reply. I emailed them, no reply. Messaged them via Facebook, no reply. Called twice no answer. We ended up sitting outside the hotel from 6am. I finally received a phone call at 6.55am, of the day of the tour, telling me the pick up would be between 7am and 7.15am. It would have been nice to know that the day before, so we could have slept in and had breakfast. Anyway, the tour itself was pretty good. Not as professional as the bigger companies like AAT King. Ian the guide, probably rambled on a bit too much, with his 'war stories', and a few other people on the tour were getting a little frustrated. I didn't mind his stories and he had a very good knowledge of the areas, we travelled to and through. The locations we attended were amazing. I have graded them separately on google. We probably wouldn't use this company again due to the way it is run.

Fantastic experience: Tuesday 11 October was a fabulous day, our guide for the day, Ian was just fantastic, his local knowledge and commentary was invaluable towards the day. The Jumping Croc tour was very interesting, being up close to the crocs and the interesting commentary and information by the guide there was excellent. Our stops at Humpty Doo Hotel and later Batchelor Hotel were great stops for a time out. Litchfield National Park is beautiful, our swim stops at Wangi and Florence Falls were welcome stops on a hot day, lunch was very good too, thanks Ian. A quick stop at Zebra Stone was very interesting too. To cap the day with some bubbly and prawns and sunset at Fannie Bay was just great. Thank you to all concerned for a great day, also great value for money

Fantastic experience: We booked the tour online and confirmed by the agency one day before our tour. Our tour guider was Simon who is so thoughtful and special, he took good care of each of us. He definitely made the day unique from jumping crocodile cruise to the stunning sunset, from picnic to snacks, he cares everting details. I would love to recommend this tour to everyone who loves adventure and travelling. We had a 100% lovely day.

Fantastic experience: Great days tour today. Simon our driver and host was excellent , really knowledgable and made the day great fun. Would recommend to anyone visiting Darwin. Rex who led us on the Adelaide River to see the Crocs was excellent too..and we got close and personal with the Crocs..! The swimming at all the falls in the Lichfield National Park was great and Sunset at Fannie Bay completed a great day.@ Love your work Simon..!

Fantastic experience: Such an amazing tour! A friend and I went a few weeks ago as the wet season was coming to an end. We both thought it was such great value for money with so many stops packed in. Absolutely loved seeing the jumping crocks with Pat in the morning and finishing off with a glass of bubbly as the sun set at Fannie Bay. Our tour guide (Simon) was really knowledgeable and great fun! Would definitely recommend as a must do full day activity for groups of any age (esp. families).

Fantastic experience: Was part of a small group of 6 on the bus and were able to experience real Territory hospitality. Our friendly guide gave an informed commentary that was of facts, legends and maybe the occasional tall story. Not only were snacks, water and decent sized lunch were provided but also prawns and bubbles at sunset. Stopping at a couple of country pubs was also an experience as was meeting locals along the way. A great day tour of Litchfield that I'd do again.

Fantastic experience: Joined this tour for my birthday, highly recommend. From Adelaide, in Darwin for work. Found myself looking for a day trip with swimming. Discovered this tour through Quest Palmerston. Crocodiles, waterfalls, nature walk, boat ride, prawns and bubbles, snacks, and pub visits - all in just one day trip. Favorite part was Florence falls. Enjoyable even for solo travellers like me. Many thanks to Simon and Pat and everybody else in the bus.

Fantastic experience: This was an incredible tour! From the very start Ian, our tour guide, was friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. He allowed plenty of 'Pit stops' on the way for a drink or a stretch, Lunch was nice and the champagne and prawns sunset was the culmination of a great day. By far the most interesting part of the tour was the crocodile jumping boat tour. The skipper, Pat, was not only an expert in crocks, but a very safe and conscientious operator.   You can see that he loves and understands crocks and they in return know him and come and visit of their own will.  He made us all understand how these wild animals can be at the same time dangerous and safe to watch.  How they interact with each other: aggressive with intruders of their territory, but very gentle with their partner. This tour is run by a smaller company, obviously very focused on customer satisfaction, I highly recommend it

Fantastic experience: 10 stars if I could! Tony, our driver was amazing. Very funny. We got to the Adelaide river for the jumping crocs and this was easily one of the best experiences I have EVER done. Pat was amazing at what he does, knows everything about the saltwater crocodiles he grew up around. Great way of life and thinking too, being brought up in an aboriginal tribe, he was very interesting to listen to and talk to. Then we went onto Litchfield national park which was beautiful. Swam in the waterfalls which was extremely refreshing, even in the rain! Spoke to other people that booked with other tours for the jumping crocs/ national parks and they were very disappointed. So, I would 100% book with Wallaroo!

Fantastic experience: We had such a great half day tour on the Adelaide River with our tour guide Pat. We booked at the tourist information centre in Darwin and everything went as planned. Only slight disappointment was a miscommunication with water that we were told would be provided. It was not, but we were given the opportunity to buy some from a petrol station. Even with that considered, it was still a 5/5 trip. You won't regret what you spend on this one!

Fantastic experience: I thought the Litchfield tour was expensive at first but seeing all that was included, it's a bargain. This tour was just fantastic. The bus was small and cozy, more like a van than a full size bus, with air conditioning and big windows for taking in the scenery. Litchfield is beautiful in its wilderness. The tour goes on to visit two waterfalls with plenty of time to swim and take pictures, the magnetic termite mounds and the best of all, a boat tour to see crocodiles and kite hawks in Adelaide River. Several stops along the way to strech your legs, buy mangoes and have drinks. The tour includes a light lunch and also a snack with prawns and champagne while seeing the sunset in Darwin. Though I went solo, I highly recommend doing this as a couple or group.

Fantastic experience: Cracka of a tour. Great guide in Tony, very knowledgeable and a good bloke. Pat was awesome and a great croc tour. Anyone interested in doing the Litchfeild and croc tours, this is the one to do. You will not be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: We had an amazing day on this tour. Our driver and guide Sue was fantastic, everything thing from being exactly on time to pick us up, her humour along the way and complete professionalism was a delight. The croc cruise with Pat was second to none, whilst the other boats drove up and down the river he had us up close and personal with these creatures, his knowledge and passion for them is incredible. The experience with the kites he called down in aboriginal tongue was amazing and a true highlight Next was a stop at the humpty doo hotel for a beer, can’t get much more ozzie than that, then onto Litchfield, we stopped at the termite mounds, swam at two different waterfalls and finished the day of with prawns and champagne watching the sunset over Fannie Bay, At no time were we hurried along, the day just went seamlessly, Good on ya guys and gals best day of our stay in Darwin. Highly recommend 11/10. Steve and Jacinta Sydney

Fantastic experience: Jumping crocodiles with Pat was fantastic. We learned a lot and got much closer than the other tour boats. pat knows everything about the wildlife in the area and a lot of other interesting things.

Fantastic experience: We initially looked up many croc jumping tours in Darwin, pretty skeptical as we aren't huge fans of doing tours. This blew our minds. We were so impressed with the seamlessness of the tour overall. A stop in Humpty Doo before arriving along the Adelaide river to meet Pat. Pat took us out on the boat after sharing insight into crocs. I felt very safe and comfortable. The boat ride was phenomenal! An unbelievable experience. I would recommend this to everyone visiting Darwin. We spent an hour on the boat and then headed back to Humpty Doo pub for a drink/food. And were back at our hotel by 2.30pm. Such a great morning/afternoon. If you are looking for a tour to see crocs in Darwin you can't go past this intimate tour with a Darwin local who is passionate about crocodiles and truly cares about their existence and presence in Darwin.

Fantastic experience: Had a fantastic day right from when we were picked up until we returned. Our guide Dan was amazing all day and he made our day really memorable. His knowledge on the surrounding areas was vast and his commentary was most enjoyable. Loved the crocodile tour with Pat who knows his stuff. He got us really really close to these magnificent animals. Seen the termites and had lunch at Wangi Falls. Finished the day having champagne watching the sunset. Best tour by far I've ever been on. Recommend highly.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic day - we loved the up and close viewing of the crocodiles - Pat was awesome, a true bushman, sharing his love of them and his incredible knowledge and the birds were beautiful ... Peter our guide/driver for the day was great at making our group (great that is only a group of 17) feel comfortable with his humour, sharing of knowledge and our food, perfect day finished with champas and prawns watching the sunset at Fannie Bay ... Highly recommend this tour

Fantastic experience: We took a day tour with this agency. Pickup at the hotel. Visit to Litchfield National Park. Boat experience with crocodiles on the Adelaide River, visit to the wonderful Florence and Wangi falls with the possibility of swimming. Visit to the incredible termite constructions. Lunch at the falls, return to Darwin for sunset at Fannie Beach with prawns and sparkling wine. A beautiful day accompanied by a fun and professional driver.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic day out with a great group of people. Our Driver Rob, private joke ( real name Dan ) was a fabulous tour guide. Loved the crocodile cruise. The guy who took us out, named Pat, really knows his stuff. We were able to get up really close to these magnificent creatures. Visited the Termite mounds then Lunch at Wangi Falls. This was followed by swimming in one of the water holes. The day was finished perfectly with a magnificent sunset over Fannie Bay with Prawns and Champagne. A truly memorable experience. Thank you so much. Highly recommended. Dave and Karen ( Co-pilots )

Fantastic experience: A great day! Pat, the croc man was amazing! The whole day was fab and finished with prawns and bubbly at sunset. Dan our guide was great! Top marks!

Shirley Grayson-Widarsito 6 years ago

Fantastic experience: Fabulous experience. I went with my adult son who described the cruise with the crocs as life changing. Pat had so much knowledge about these wonderful wild creatures and about the bush itself that we came away from the experience feeling humbled and in awe of the bush...and Pat. We had Peter as our tour guide and Colin was the other guide in the 4 wheel drive who amazingly produced sweet juicy frozen mangoes from his own freezer as a cooling dessert after lunch. These two men added information around the info that Pat imparted to us enriching the whole experience. Seeing huge termite mounds, waterfalls with huge volumes of water tumbing from great heights, tasting green ants and seeing their amazing nests, and finishing the wonderful day with prawns and champagne.....it doesn't get better than that. Thank you Peter and Colin...it is not a 5 star tour...it is 10 stars.
