Negative experience: Hi Darp, have been trying to call you guys for several days. You’ve taken almost $6,000 of our money but aren’t responding to any correspondence for our upcoming trip. Have reported you to the ACCC. WHAT IS GOING ON. WHERE IS OUR TRIP AND WHERE IS OUR MONEY.

Negative experience: We have booked an upcoming trip with DARP and have paid almost $6,000. No receipt. Stopped responding to our calls. we have been trying to contact you for days now with no sign of any answers. DO NOT PAY THIS COMPANY A CENT OF YOUR MONEY. They will steal your money and leave you hanging with no communication. We have reported you to the necessary authorities. I hope no one else falls victim to your fraudulent activity

Negative experience: I would give a zero if it was available DO NOT TOUCH THIS BUSINESS AS THEY ARE BEYOND USELESS I won’t go into the detail but they are bordering on fraudulent they are that useless

Negative experience: AVOID USING!!! We purchased a travel voucher which included flights, accommodation and meals etc. They booked everything sent tickets etc, everything was fine until we went to check out. The accommodation advised that Darp Travel could not locate our payment and we needed to pay before leaving. They said Darp had tried to take payment from our Credit Card and it declined. We had paid for everything back in July!!! We had an early morning flight our taxi was waiting for us while we tried to check out when the accommodation was demanding payment. I have emailed Darp Travel to try and sort this as when we were checking out they were not open and so far no response. Extremely Disappointed, seems like they just wanted to keep our money and try make us pay again, we were extremely lucky that the accommodation let us leave and that we didn't miss our flight.

Negative experience: Bought a package through GrabOne - got in contact with Darp Travels after paying. Started out agreeing on the dates and times. Asked for confirmation on flights / accommodation and received no response for 2 and a half weeks despite multiple follow ups. Eventually had to dispute this and get a refund (through GrabOne as DarpTravels refused to reply to me). I believe DarpTravels lied about booking the flights / accommodation and tried to take off with the money. I absolutely do NOT recommend using them. Awful travel agency.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed. Once the payment is done all there services become really bad. Have to be on hold for hours if you want to contact them. After about an hour their consultants simply hang on you.

Negative experience: Terrible service , worst experience ever and will never use them again! nothing was organized , they got our names wrong on the air-tickets even after sending them our passports which clearly had our names printed on.Had to take the liberty of rectifying the name change with the airlines directly which incurred a cost, after sending them the bill for a refund no reply ! the transfer from the airport to the resort was not arranged , so we had to call the resort to arrange it. strongly advise not to use Darp travels to avoid the disappointment and inconvenience that we experienced

Fantastic experience: We had a great trip to Queenstown. The staff at Darp travels were responsive and very accommodating. At one point the emails went to my spam so I missed some communication, but they patiently sent it through again, and there were no issues with the trip. I would definitely recommend booking with this company.

Negative experience: I'd be surprised if this guy Alex could dress himself adequately. We won a trip and he was to organise it. We had issues with him the whole way through. From the motel room to meals to transfers to and from airport. Wanted us to sit in an airport for 8hrs at night then offering us flights that we had to pay for.. the last call was our pick up from airport.. which was included in prize package..THERE WAS NO ONE COMING we had been up for over 24hrs to find in a strange country.i wouldnt even give this guy any stars. Extremely disappointed extremely unpro.

Fantastic experience: Our holiday with Darp Travels organised by Alex was stress and trouble free with Alex organising separate tickets for us going to England in addition to our Malaysia trip at a different time to our adult children .The only time there was a hiccup with their flight being cancelled ,Alex was there to help ensure they got professional attention and restitution staying in a hotel overnight. Both hotels we stayed in at KL and on Penang were wonderful - particularly the latter , with both having great breakfasts. I would definitely organise another trip with Alex from Darp Travels, Many thanks for the professional prompt and courteous care , regards Liz

Fantastic experience: The trip was great. The arrangements in terms of transportation was super good. I would suggest to have 4 days in Bangkok rather than 3 as two days are wasted in travelling. We loved Phi Phi Island.

Fantastic experience: I had booked my holiday with Alex for my mum and I. He was absolutely amazing considering I had a lot of changes to the original booking. Any request I had asked for he did right away. Even when we overseas they still went the extra mile to fulfil our needs. They have exceptional service and highly recommend their travel agency will rebook with them again !!

Fantastic experience: the accomodation was excellent but we would have preferred a room with a lake view, maybe this could have been an option on the grab one website. we would have wanted an option for a bag on the flights which we paid the extra for. with air new zealand getting a bag and a seat request was easy as you could change the email address so you received the email but with jetstar the email couldnt be changed so it had to go to the travel agent and you had to request a revised copy of your booking reference.

Fantastic experience: What a fantastic mystery Queenstown package I bought through Steve at Darp travels. At first it was a challenge to find dates and flights that worked, but Steve made it happen and they couldn’t have been more perfect. Our accommodation was sufficient for our needs and Queenstown was stunning. Dealings with Steve was easy and effortless, our travel went without a hitch. Fantastic experience: Excellent - The Most Enjoyable Holiday for us My wife and I honeymooned in Bali for 5 nights. We booked this honeymoon package through Darp Travels and COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH THE EXPERIENCE. To start with, we appreciated the clear and easy communication by Shonnie before the trip. It made setting up everything very easy. Once we arrived, they took care of everything and made our stay quite carefree. We were greeted at the airport and transported to our hotel (The Visala Boutique Suites Seminyak) in a nicely appointed Car. Our guide, Ketut, was incredible. If you book through Darp Travels, be sure to request him. Ketut was highly knowledgable, polite, flexible, and spoke English impeccably. The best part about the tour was the fact that Ketut knew the optimal time to visit each temple/site so that we could avoid crowds. Kent took great pictures for us and had a lot of interesting historical facts and information about the places to share. We also appreciated his insights about Bali as a whole and his experience growing up there. the end of the trip he felt more like a friend than a tour guide. The price was incredibly reasonable and the booking process was easy, they customized our holiday including a tour guide and a driver, all of our Breakfast & Lunches, cold water, a boat etc. I cannot say enough about this trip… just great and so happy we booked with them.

Fantastic experience: Where to begin...may as well start at the beginning when I bought a Holiday Package from Darp Travels and my Agent was Alex. At this point I have to say Alex was AMAZING to deal with...I seriously didn't make his job easy by changing things a list long. He always replied to my emails at a timely fashion, when I'm sure his finger hovered over the delete button. hahaha Credit where credit is due he deserves a 5 Star just for that. Great price for what we got , NZD$1200 Return Airfares Auckland to Bali, 7 Nights Accommodation, Buffet Breakfast & Airport Transfers. BALI ...Everything about it had the WOW FACTOR!! Ramada Encore A.M.A.Z.I.N.G Food was absolutely divine especially the Breakfast. If you couldn't find something at the outstanding Buffet to wet your appetite then chances are good you probably complain about everything...Always has to be a Mr & Mrs Debbie Downer among us hahaha. Having a Restaurant in the Hotel was a bonus. We ate a majority of our dinners there and found it to be very reasonably priced (didn't need lunch because breakfast was so filling) The SPA...Highly recommend the Foot Reflexology, got to keep those feet happy for all the walking they do at the Markets while your Bartering :-) Swimming Pool was another A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. feature at Ramada Encore. My only tiny winy thing I would say is PLEASE don't allow guest to drink in the Pool. If the Glass was to smash that would close the Pool down until it was guaranteed all the glass was picked up and it's also not a good look for the children to see. Our Room...FANTASTIC!! Alex worked his magic and got us a upgrade to a Balcony Room on the 2nd Floor overlooking the Pool. Super King Bed. I needed a mega phone to yell out goodnight to my hubby hahaha Outdoor Lounger which was great for unwinding at the end of the day and a creature of habit I always make my bed but despite this the maids came in and remade it...they were so great. Nothing was a problem at Ramada Encore. I would certainly highly recommend it and come back time and time again :-) Markets...WOW WOW WOW. We met a couple that didn't know how to barter, felt for them haha Not only is Bartering an Adrenalin rush it's so much fun, should be an Olympic Sport...I would be a contender for the crown :-) Of course everything with a label is a knock off but who cares...for some of my whanau back here in NZ they would be wrapped to get a pair of Nikes or a Billabong singlet....so all good. The People...Back home we have a saying: He Tangata He Tangata He Tangata. Roughly translated it means. 'What is the most important thing in the world, it is The People, The People, The People. Such gently spoken people who were always happy to make your visit a wonderful experience so be gentle back and be KIND...it's free PEACE! Thank you Darp Travel for a wonderful experience.
