Positive experience: Being prone to sea sickness and this being a rough day, I am pleased that I sought out a chemist for proper tablets (not the ginger ones). It was an enjoyable cruise to the outer reef, via Green Island pickup), to the permanently anchored platform at the reef. A day full of adventure, depending what you want to do: snorkeling, scuba diving, Scooba-Doo self propelled diving helmet (at a cost), or just viewing the reef through underwater windows on the platform or on a cruise around with the semi submarine. The platform is securely anchored, so I didn't even get queasy and was able to enjoy the included smorgasbord lunch. A surprise meeting with a humpback whale and calf on the return trip rounded off the day.

Negative experience: Apparently his computer was more interesting than explaining to us the different companies. We asked to him what was the best company for going to the great barrier reef and he took the first flyer close to him and said : ''this''. And after we asked ": Why ?'' and he said : because it's cheaper. Thank you for your ''service'' but next

Fantastic experience: These guys are a top notch booking agency. Not only were the prices really good (best I could find), but they also offered a free underwater camera with the booking. Emails were all promptly responded to and the process was very smooth. When we came in to the Cairns office, I think it was Clint, was so friendly and really helpful. He printed itineraries for us and explained everything we needed to know. We needed to make last minute changes for our pick up hotel address and he swiftly got on the phone and organized it in the blink of an eye. Fantastic experience: We were in Cairns for 10 nights and popped into this Information Bureau for some general advice. What a great decision that was. Clint Carroll was exceptionally friendly and helpful, even suggesting places to eat in the area. Due to his advice, he actually saved us money and we ended up having a great time in the Cairns area, particularly The Great Barrier Reef experience. Without Clint's advice we would have just chosen a boat trip to one of the Islands, not realising it wasn't actually on the Reef itself. We popped in to see him a few times during our stay and Clint always gave us a warm welcome. He seemed really interested in what we were doing, whether we were enjoying ourselves, despite the fact we didn't buy any other trips from him. It was definitely not a hard-sell situation. His information was invaluable to us. We would have no hesitation in recommending Clint and his bureau to anybody who wants genuine advice and help when in the Cairns area.
